Little!April x Cg!Ben - Onesies
Regressuary day 7 … prompt from: @trail-to-oklahoma

——————————
After a long day of missing Andy and attending big Washington meetings, April was happy to find herself curled up on the couch with Dada. The entire day had been exhausting and overstimulating for April so Ben had suggested they look at April’s favourite online little shop on his laptop, an activity that allowed April to feel no pressure to talk and be comforted by the little supplies she could see. He’d set the laptop in April’s lap, allowing her to choose what they looked at. After her usual visits - the pacis and stuffed dogs - April was scrolling idly through the options tab, her mouse hovering over the onesies tab for a moment before clicking on it. This piqued Ben’s interest, April had never expressed an interest in this before. He let her scroll for a moment before speaking up, “Do you want one baby bat?” He asked quietly. April stiffened. She’d really just wanted to look… but now she was here she couldn’t deny that they did look comfortable.
“I’m not a baby,” she grumbled defensively, crossing her arms over her chest.
“I know,” Ben acknowledged gently, combing his fingers through April’s hair. “But they look cozy and they would probably save you from a lot of frustration when your normal clothes feel icky.” April thought on this for a moment, her grown up clothes did bother her a lot. The different fabrics and feelings made her skin feel all crawly. “You don’t have to decide now.”
“But Andy wouldn’t wear them,”
“You and Andy don’t have to be the same bubba, if you need different things while little than he does it doesn’t matter. You don’t play with action figures, does that mean Andy can’t?” She supposed it made sense. April squirmed, looking between her fidgety hands and the laptop screen. Coincidentally they’d stopped scrolling right over a black onesie spotted with purple and green dinosaurs.
After some gentle coaxing from Ben, April agreed to order a couple of onesies to try out. Once her mind was made up April was actually quite excited to try the onesies. It was a good distraction from missing Andy. However, when they arrived a few days later April was suddenly filled with anxiety. She refused to wear the onesies and they were put in the back of her wardrobe for safe keeping.
“Baby bat, it’s time to go,” Ben called through her shut bedroom door. They were supposed to be heading out to a dinner celebrating a win for their campaign but April had been taking longer than usual to get ready. After there was no reply, Ben knocked again. “April?” There was a faint grumble in reply. “Ok bubba, I’m coming in,” he called out a final time before opening the door. It took Ben a moment before he noticed April’s dark hair poking out from a lump in the covers, initially distracted by the entirety of April’s wardrobe being spilled across the floor. “Is there a little bat hiding in this bed?” Ben called out playfully.
“Nuh uh,” April mumbled. Ben laughed softly, tickling where he assumed her stomach was. April squeaked and squirmed away from him, a faint smile evident on her lips as she emerged from the covers.
“Oh there is a little bat in here!” Ben gawked. April hid her smile in her pillow but let Ben sit down next to her. “What are we hiding from?”
“Clothes,” April grumbled, shooting a harsh glare at the piles of clothing on her floor. “It all feels icky.” Ben nodded in understanding and rubbed April’s back soothingly.
“Can Dada try something?” April nodded, cuddling her stuffed dog tightly to her chest. Ben searched around quickly in April’s mainly empty wardrobe before pulling out one of the disregarded onesies. April glanced nervously in Ben’s direction but quickly soothed herself into the idea of it, the onesie did look comfortable. Ben gently helped April change into the onesie and much to her delite it didn’t irritate her at all. She smiled widely, flapping her hands at the soft fabric against her skin, a relief from all of the rough and icky fabrics and sensations she’d been trying. “Is that good, baby?” April nodded, reaching for Ben to pick her up. “Ok, I think we ought to order in, hm?”
“Pizza?”
“Yeah baby, we can have pizza.”

Combining an advanced implementation of Epic’s Unreal Engine with The Mill’s proprietary virtual production toolkit, Mill Cyclops™, “The Human Race” merges real-time visual effects and live-action storytelling. The combined technologies were pushed beyond the limits of existing real-time rendering capabilities to produce a futuristic film that features the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in a heated race with the Chevrolet FNR autonomous concept car. The only physical vehicle filmed for “The Human Race” was the Mill BLACKBIRD®. Until now, CG cars were added by visual effects artists in post-production, requiring days of rendering to produce high-quality imagery. During this shoot, however, live video feeds as well as positional data from the Arraiy tracking system were fed directly into Unreal Engine. The Camaro was then rendered and composited seamlessly into the footage in real-time AR, allowing the directors to instantly see the final look and composition of each shot. The same real-time technology was used to create, alter and produce the short film, blurring the lines between production and post. ‘“The Human Race’ blends cinematic storytelling and real-time visual effects to define a new era of narrative possibilities,’ said Angus Kneale, Chief Creative Officer at The Mill in New York. “This is a pivotal moment for film VFX and the coming era of augmented reality production. Using Unreal’s cutting-edge game engine technology, filmmakers are able to see their photoreal digital assets on location in real time. It also means the audience can effect change in films in ways previously unimagined, giving interactive control over vehicles, characters and environments within a live action cinema experience. With Mill Cyclops™, The Mill’s proprietary virtual production toolkit, we are able to render and integrate digital assets into the real world to a level never seen before.” The film was conceived by The Mill and Chevrolet to kick off a multi-platform campaign marking the 50th anniversary of the Camaro. Little!April x Cg!Ben - Leaving
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
just a lil ficlet of how I see the decision being made that April will go to D.C. with Ben !! My fave da and bubba at the moment (I didn’t edit this cause I’m supposed to be studying … mama ann content coming in the next few days will be much better tho)
Word count: 1204
Everything was perfect. April was on the couch with her back against Andy’s shoulder as he played the Xbox. She had her bat paci in her mouth and her stuffie in her arms. She was even wearing one of Andy’s flannels which swamped her and made her feel tiny. Andy was feeling a bit bigger than usual and was playing scary games which April thought were so cool. She was happily listening to the sounds of the games and suckling her pacifier when Ben came in. “Hey ‘Pril,” he smiled, ruffling April’s hair playfully. She groaned and squirmed away but it didn't really upset her. “Hey, can I talk to you kids?” Ben asked.
“Can I finish this level?” Andy asked without taking his eyes off the screen. April rolled her eyes, Andy was too obsessed. She leant over and turned off his game. “April!” Andy whined.
April dropped her paci onto the couch, “Da needs to talk,” she shrugged.
“Thanks April. Andy, this is only going to take a minute.” Ben sat down on the ottoman opposite the couch, clasping his hands together nervously. “I’ve taken a job in Washington running a congressional campaign, I'm going to be away for a few months.” April’s heart sank. He couldn’t leave. She needed Da. Who else would make her bottles and let her draw on their face and back her up when Andy’s being annoying? And how would she sleep if Da didn’t tuck her in?
“What’s a coressional campaign?” Andy asked. How could he care about that right now? Da was leaving. This was the worst news ever.
“Well, it’s sort of like what Leslie did on a bigger scale buddy,” Ben explained. April’s chest felt heavy and wrong. She didn’t want to cry or to have Ben know that she cared so much but her eyes were burning and her cheeks felt hot. “April, are you alright little bat?” April shook her head firmly and reached out for Ben. He pulled her into his lap, letting her hide her face in his shoulder. “What happened, what’s going on in your little head?” April just huffed, now her face was hidden away she couldn’t hold back her tears. Ben frowned, rubbing circles against April’s back.
“Pril crying?” Andy questioned, rocking back and forth nervously, the out of character emotional outburst from his wife making him feel smaller.
“She’s alright, she’s just a little bit sad right now. I think she’s gonna miss Da, hm?” He questioned gently, trying to soothe April’s tear stricken face out of hiding.
“Nooo,” she whined, rubbing at her cheeks. Another wave of sobs hit her quickly and she tightened her grip on Ben’s shirt.
Andy shuffled up to the edge of the couch so he could reach over and pat her shoulder comfortingly. “You’re allowed to miss Da, ‘Pril.” April just whined and curled closer to Ben. She knew that if she was a bit bigger she would not let herself do this but she felt so small and she needed her Da.
“You’re alright baby bat, I’m right here,” Ben soothed, gently bouncing her on his knee. He picked up her pacifier off the couch and slipped it back into her mouth. The comfort item soothed April enough to stop the sobs. She still clung to Ben. “Alright, there we go.” Ben gently coaxed April’s face away from his shoulder, cupping her face in one hand and wiping her tears away with the other. “That’s it, you got it. Change can be scary can’t it, hm? But that doesn’t mean it’s bad.”
April’s face scrunched up, it was bad. “Bad bad bad,” she huffed, pressing her hands against her ears.
“No little Bat, it would just mean you could spend some more time with Leslie, or maybe Auntie Ann, doesn’t that sound nice?” April shook her head firmly, it did not sound nice. She wanted Da and she wanted everything to stay the same. Her life was nice, it was good. Everyday she came home and Da was always there to take care of her and Andy was there to play with her so, no, she didn’t think change would be nice. “Alright, that’s alright. You don’t have to like it right now.”
Andy huffed and leant back dramatically, growing bored and fidgety, “can I keep playing now?”
“No, go take a shower Bud, Leslie’s coming over for dinner.”
By the time Leslie arrived for dinner both the kids were showered and in their pajamas. April had calmed down significantly and was now wearing her favourite pyjamas - a short sleeve set with a little bat in the middle of the top and purple shorts. She stayed close to Ben, silently following him around the kitchen as he prepared calzones. “April, would you like me to brush your hair?” Leslie offered, noticing the girls wet and matted hair. April shook her head firmly, holding onto the hem of Ben’s shirt.
“April, go with Leslie darling.” April huffed and stomped her foot, frustrated tears pooling in her eyes.
Leslie frowned in confusion, unaware of April’s earlier upset. “What’s the matter April, this isn’t like you,”
Ben sighed, wrapping his arm around April. “She’s a bit upset that I’m going to D.C.” he explained. April shook her head and rubbed harshly at her eyes.
“Am not.”
Leslie sighed, “C’mere April.” April whined but reluctantly slipped onto the stool next to Leslie. “You know I’m gonna miss Ben too,” she explained as she began to brush April’s hair. “But he won’t be gone very long.” April crossed her arms, why didn’t they understand? This wasn’t ok. Everything was good how it was. Slowly Leslie began to realise the root of April’s upset. It wasn’t just that she’d miss Ben, it was that she didn’t want anything to change. “You know, Ben will need an assistant in Washington,” she suggested, glancing at Ben as she tied off the two plaits in April’s hair.
Ben realised what Leslie was suggesting quickly. “Wait, Pril, do you wanna come with Da?” April nodded eagerly.
“Please?”
“I don’t see why not,” Ben shrugged.
“Wha’ about Andy?”April asked, taking one of her plaits and chewing on the end.
“Andy,” Ben called. Andy poked his head up from behind the couch, a crayon sticking out of his mouth. “Andy.”
“Andy, crayon out please,” Leslie instructed. Andy frowned but spat it out.
“Thanks Buddy. What would you think if April came with me on that trip we talked about? Would you wanna come with us?” Andy scrunched his face up, Washington sounded fancy and grown up, plus he had to work on becoming a police officer!
“Psht no,” he laughed, “Burt Macklin has work to do!” And with that Andy disappeared back behind the couch.
“Well then ‘Pril,” Ben smiled, “what do you think of a little Da and April trip?”
April swung her legs happily. “Dada, ‘Pril.”
“Well it’s decided then, I’ll call Jenn in the morning.” He leant over and kissed the top of April’s head. Ben found the idea of having April with him in Washington comforting, knowing he wouldn’t have to worry about her all alone anymore.

Little!April x Cg!Ron - Together
Regressuary day 4 … yes it’s early, i meant to save this as a draft but accidentally posted it instead whoopsie
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Word count: 813
——————————
Everyone in the parks department knew about April’s regression. It was almost impossible to keep it hidden when they spent everyday together and April could be triggered into regressing at the smallest of upsets. However despite it being widely known knowledge, few were actually let into the small circle of people April allowed to care for her when little. This wasn’t because she disliked any of her coworkers more than others, it was simply that little April could be quite emotional and it required a certain amount of patience to handle. This meant that while Leslie and Ann spent a great deal of time with little April, Ron had rarely encountered the girl in her regressed state.
Ron and April were up late, organising fliers for Leslie’s campaign. Usually neither of them were the sort of people you’d expect to find up late in the office working on anything government related but Leslie Knope did bring out the best in everyone. “How many more to go? Ben wants to know when to come pick me up since Andy laked my car.” April asked, growing tired and fidgety as the hours passed.
“50,” Ron replied with a huff. He’d much rather be at home eating a stake right now. “About an hour if we don’t stop.” April nodded, looking down at her hands to avoid Ron’s eyes. It was well past her bedtime and the tiredness sneaking over her was loosening her grip on her adult headspace.
They continued to work at a steady pace, silence engulfing the room - not unusual for the two who found comfort in each other's lack of need for small talk. The silence did however make April’s soft whines and huffs impossible to miss when she finally slipped into her regression. Ron looked up from the paper he was folding, a look of confusion gracing his gruff features. “April? You alright?” He asked, characteristic stoicism in his voice. April glanced up, eyes wide like a deer caught in headlights.
“Fine,” she mumbled, though her voice came out wobblier and more petulant than she’d intended. Ron quirked a disbelieving eyebrow at the younger girl.
“You don't look fine,” he frowned, observing the girl's shifty stature. “You know how I feel about lying.”
April huffed, stomping her foot against the carpeted office floor. She didn’t want to tell Ron she was feeling small because she didn’t want him to see her so vulnerable. “Feel small,” she admitted crossly, not knowing whether it was worse for him to think she was weak or a liar. His face softened at the admission, though some hesitancy crept across his features.
“That’s what’s bothering you?” He questioned, having expected something much worse and far less easily manageable to be at play. April nodded. Ron was the first to admit he wasn’t the best with kids, and he was nervous to take care of April for the first time, but if he had to take care of anyone he’d want it to be her. “That’s nothing to get all worked up over, do you have your stuff in your desk drawer?” He asked. April nodded and left Ron’s office to go retrieve her pacifier and stuffed puppy dog from her desk. While she was gone Ron cleared away the rest of the fliers, Leslie wouldn’t mind finishing them up tomorrow. “Come here kiddo,” he smiled fondly as April returned to the room. He pushed his chair back from the desk so April could climb onto his lap. He wasn’t entirely sure what he was doing but the kid seemed exhausted and there wasn’t exactly anywhere more comfortable to take a nap in the office. “Is Ben still coming to pick you up?” Ron asked quietly, not wanting to overwhelm her with his voice. April nodded,
“In half an hour.”
Half an hour, Ron could do that. He held her for a while, feeling her body relax into his grasp, he couldn’t admit how comforting he found it. Eventually April squirmed and whined, “I’m bored. Can I have a story?” Ron thought for a moment, what kind of story could he tell a kid? Certainly none of the books he’d read recently.
Ron ended up making up a story for April, about a little fruit bat who lived in a strong and sturdy tree and made friends with pirates and fairies. April giggled and gasped as he exclaimed the silly twists and turns until eventually they heard Ben entering the department.
“Dada!” April exclaimed, shuffling off Ron’s lap.
“Hello my little bat,” Ben cooed, hugging her tightly. “Have you been good for Ron?” April nodded eagerly.
“Grandpa told me a silly story ‘n he used lots and lots of voices!” She exclaimed. Ron chuckled heavily, feigning an offended look to Ben when April referred to him as ‘grandpa’ but deep down he was honoured by the name.

i take your little april likes small spaces and i raise you a fic where she finds a new spot to hide that's extra cozy and comfy (regressed to her youngest or second youngest headspace at this point). she ends up falling asleep, because she's happy and safe. cue everyone looking for her, bc she's not where anyone else thinks her to be. they find her, still asleep of course, and are all relieved. she wakes up and everyone decides it's snack time (no scolding as she didn't mean to scare them on purpose)
Little!April Ludgate - Hide and Seek
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
changed it up a little bit because this request was super super similar to something I’d already started writing (anon are you a mind reader?) anyway, hopefully you don’t mind :D
Word count: 900
——————————
“You close your eyes and I’ll hide,” April instructed Andy who was spinning around on a wheely chair.
“What do I count to?” Andy asked, immediately perking up at the idea of playing April’s favourite game.
“As high as you possibly can,” April grinned, bouncing on the balls of her feet. Andy nodded eagerly and covered his eyes as he began to count. April was really, really good at hiding but recently even her best hiding spots had gotten repetitive enough for Andy to find her. She decided the best course of action to uphold her position as the best hider in all of city hall was to venture up to the fourth floor. It was perfect. Andy would never think to look for her there and there were so many good, creepy hiding spots to find! She made her way up the elevator, not missing the opportunity to press all the buttons, and snuck her way into an empty office. She practically squealed with excitement when she saw an empty cupboard. She climbed inside, the cupboard smelling like dust and old wood but the small space felt safe and cozy. Above all it was an amazing hiding spot.
Andy managed to count all the way to 57 before he got bored and lost count, then he counted to 24, and then he counted to 60. All up he thought April had plenty of time to hide. Not that she needed it, April was the best hider. He began checking all her best places. Under desks, in Ann’s office, under the outside tables, under the chairs at the shoe shine stand. She was nowhere to be found. He started looking more frantically in other places. He felt like he had looked through every inch of their floor. An awful thought dawned on him, he’d lost the baby. He became quite panicked, researching everywhere he’d been before he finally gave in and reluctantly went to find help. Leslie and Ben were eating lunch in Leslie’s office and Andy knocked on the door. “Andy, hey buddy,” Leslie greeted perkily. Andy entered the office, looking nervously between the three grownups.
“Is everything ok?” Ben asked, quieter than Leslie. Andy sniffled, hot tears pooling in his eyes. He’d messed up so bad.
“April’s,” he started before the guilty tears started streaming down his cheeks. “April,” he hiccuped sadly, rubbing at his teary face.
“Come sit here kiddo,” Leslie cooed gently, patting the spare chair next to her. Andy slumped down in the chair with a heavy sigh. “Take a deep breath for me.” Leslie’s voice was calm but certain as she took Andy’s hands and guided him through three deep breaths. “That’s it, good boy,” Leslie cooed as Andy took three over exaggerated deep breaths.
“Ok Andy, can you tell us what happened with April?” Ben asked gently once Andy had calmed down.
“We were playing hide and seek and then I couldn’t find her,” Andy explained, his voice descending back into tears when he finished.
“Ok, it’s ok,” Ben promised. “We’ll find her, she won’t have gone far.” Andy nodded and Leslie gently wiped his tears away.
“Come on, we’ll be faster together.” Leslie took Andy’s hand so they could start looking while Ben instructed the rest of the department on where to look.
After another ten minutes even Leslie was starting to lose hope. “Ok Andy, where does April like to hang out when she’s small at work hm? Let’s start there.” Andy thought for a moment,
“Uh, the shoe shine stand, her desk, the fourth floor,”
“The fourth floor!” Ben exclaimed as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. The three of them quickly made their way up to the dreaded level. From there it wasn’t hard at all to conclude that April would’ve immediately gone into the creepy looking empty office. Andy threw the cupboard doors open. April was curled up in the cupboard fast asleep with her thumb planted firmly in her mouth. Andy quickly threw his hand up over his mouth so as not to make a loud noise and wake her. Ben and Leslie both looked in too, letting out sighs of relief as they saw the sleeping girl.
“Hey Pril,” Ben cooed softly, rubbing the girl's shoulder softly to wake her up. April whined and peered her eyes open sleepily.
“Found you,” Andy whispered triumphantly. Through half open eyes April looked between Leslie and Ben,
“You had help,” She yawned, reaching for Ben. Ben helped her out of the cupboard and pulled her into his arms.
“You gave us quite the fright,” Leslie smiled softly, running a hand through April’s hair. April mumbled sorry around her thumb, burying her face sleepily against Ben’s shoulder. “It’s alright, let’s just keep hide and seek to our floor in the future, ok little bat?” April nodded. Andy hugged April tightly for a few moments before quickly becoming distracted.
“Can we have snacks now? Seeking makes me hungry.” Ben laughed affectionately and Leslie ruffled his hair.
“How does that sound April? Snacks?” Ben asked the sleepy little.
“Nacks,” April nodded.
They headed back to the safety of their own floor where the littles were set up with juice boxes (apple for Andy and blackcurrant for April) and some cookies that Ann had dropped by in the morning (choc chip and the best in all of city hall).

Parks Department Christmas Party <3
Tumblr media
Hi , merry Christmas! Sorry this is a little late I got sick before Christmas! Hope you enjoy it anyway :)
Word count: 837
——————————
“Hold still baby,” Your Mama urged softly as she finished tying a red bow into your ponytail. You were getting ready for the work Christmas party and you were so excited because it meant you’d get to play with April and Andy. Ann was hosting, as she usually did, which meant you’d spent all morning decorating and helping her prepare food. Now you were all dressed and ready, in a red dress which Mama had picked out and a matching bow in your hair. Just as Mama finished tying up your hair the doorbell rang and you leapt up from the living room floor eagerly.
“I got it,” You called out, wanting to be the first one to greet the guests. Remembering that your Mama said to always check before opening the door you pressed your eye up to the little peephole, unable to hold back an excited squeal when you saw Andy, April, Ben and Leslie. They were definitely not strangers and so you swung the door open eagerly. Andy immediately engulfed you in a massive bear hug and April quickly slipped past you out of the chilly winter air and into the warm confines of the house.
“Y/N, we bought presents,” Andy exclaimed as Ben and Leslie ushered you both into the house.
“We have presents for you too,” You informed him excitedly. You’d spent ages with your Mama picking out the perfect presents for your best friends. “Wanna go play in my playroom?” You asked, turning to April who had immediately made herself at home on the couch. She nodded and held out a stuffed black cat which looked new.
“Mama and Da were supposed to give it to her for Christmas but they had to bribe her with it to come tonight,” Andy explained. Now you were looking more closely you could see dried up tear tracks on April’s cheeks, despite this she was smiling now which was definitely a good sign.
You gently patted the head of April’s cat. “It’s very cute, does it have a name yet?” You asked.
“Gata,” April pronounced proudly.
“Hi Gata,” You greeted. “Does Gata wanna play with us?” April nodded again and you all went into your playroom. Mama had made you clean it this morning so you could all play in there but within about ten minutes the room had descended into chaos with pieces of your marble run scattered around the whole room.
“I’m hungry,” Andy pouted after a while.
“We could go get some snacks?” You suggested, “We got candies and fruit and nuts and stuff.”
“Da said Andy isn’t allowed any more candy today cause he had too much this morning,” April piped up.
“We could sneak ‘em?” You were usually very, very against breaking the rules but your mama hadn’t said anything about not being allowed any sugar and so you wouldn’t get in trouble. Plus, it could be like a secret spy mission.
“Burt Macklin is very good at sneaking,” Andy nodded excitedly. You all snuck out into the kitchen, making sure to stick against the walls and duck out of sight. Andy decided to take one for the team, crawling the last of the way across the kitchen floor and hiding behind the table whilst reaching up to grab some sweets. With the goods secured Andy quickly snuck back over to you and April and the three of you ran back to the playroom.
You enjoyed the fruits of your labour well and by the time Mama came in to check on everyone your hands were sticky and your faces marked with chocolate. “I see someone got into the sugar,” She tutted playfully.
“Andy didn’ have any,” April defended quickly. Despite the obvious lie your Mama just laughed softly, it was almost christmas after all.
“The others are here if you kids wanna go say hi,” She offered. You all decided to go say hi so you followed Mama into the living room, making a pit stop in the bathroom to wash your hands and faces per her instructions. In the living room Christmas music was playing and all the adults were lounging around, laughing and talking. You immediately slipped yourself in between your Mama and Ron on the couch, whilst April and Andy sat next to each other on the floor next to Ron and Leslie’s legs. The rest of the adults were talking loudly but Ron, as per usual, was quiet. This was why you liked to sit near him because then it didn’t get too overwhelming to be around the others.
Ron nudged you gently in the arm and slipped a ten dollar note into your palm. “Merry Christmas, kiddo,” You grinned happily and looked up at him.
“Thank you Ron,” You smiled using your best manners and offered him a kiss on the cheek. He chuckled softly and patted your head.
“No problem.” You pocketed the money quickly and curled up against your Mama, letting the conversations of the adults fade into the background.
You all sat around, comfortably enjoying each other’s presence for hours. After a while April got ahold of the tv remote and changed the music from Christmas to Halloween, insisting it was the better holiday. No one bothered to argue with her even though the music was unsettling it kept her in a good mood late into the night. Eventually Andy grew bored and insisted you opened presents. You got a new hot wheels track from April, Andy, Ben and Leslie, which was probably your favourite. But you also get a new dress up tiara from Donna, a stuffed toy crocodile from Tom and and Angelina Ballerina book from Chris. You loved all of them and felt very lucky.
After everyone went home you spent ages excitedly telling Mama all about your new presents as she tucked you in. “Did you have a good night bunny?” She asked you,
You nodded, “yes Mama, best night ever.”
“I’m so glad baby, goodnight,”!she cooed, placing a kiss to the the top of your head.
“Goodnight Mama.”

Wanted to very very clearly start this off by saying this is ENTIRELY sfw and any interaction with this post that seems even remotely nsfw will be blocked immediately. I couldn’t care less what you do in your personal life but this is my safe space. Anyway, I know this can be a difficult topic in the agere community but I wanted to write something to help padded regressors feel more accepted within the community <3

Accidents weren’t really a problem with April, she was usually capable of getting herself to the bathroom on time when she was little but that’s more where the problem lay. Everytime the girl needed to use the restroom she’d immediately pull herself out of her regressed headspace and struggled to return to it later even when she really needed it. Leslie and Ben noticed very quickly that this frequently resulted in April being extra irritable for the rest of the day which no one needed. They tried to address the topic gently, making sure to approach April about their concerns while she was big and Andy was out.
“We just want to make your regression as safe for you as possible,” Ben explained gently.
“And we thought maybe some protection could help with that,” Leslie added. April’s face scrunched up and burnt red, her fists tightening around the soft blanket she was sitting under. The suggestion made her feel small and nervous even though Mummy and Dada had said they wanted to talk with big April. She couldn’t help it. “Oh baby, does it make you that upset to think about?” Leslie cooed gently, not wanting to make April uncomfortable. The younger girl whined, rubbing her fists at her eyes, the thought of crying right now was making her feel even more embarrassed. The problem was that she didn’t know if it made her upset, or if she was particularly opposed to the idea. In fact, a part of her did think it might be nice to try. It all just felt so different and new, April hated change. She stood up from the couch abruptly, stomping off to her bedroom and slamming the door. She didn’t mean to seem angry but her body felt like it was about to burst. She just needed some time to think.
Leslie and Ben were understandably worried about April but decided not to push her too far in case they made it worse. She stayed in her room all afternoon and eventually Andy returned from band practice. “Where’s ‘Pril?” He questioned, eager to play with the younger girl after he’d been out all day.
“She’s in the bedroom but she needs some space right now, ok?” Ben warned gently, looking up from the book he’d been reading on the couch.
“Why?” Andy questioned, April never needed space from him - from other people yes, but never Andy.
Leslie and Ben shared a look, “it’s not really our spot to tell you about it buddy,” Leslie explained. Andy crossed his arms with a frown, if it related to April it related to him.
He went off to their room, leaving Leslie and Ben worried on the couch. They decided April could handle herself if she wanted Andy to leave her alone and decided to go start making dinner - Calzones.
After a while April and Andy both emerged from the bedroom, hands intertwined and April standing slightly behind Andy with her pacifier in her mouth. They hovered in the entrance of the kitchen for a moment before Andy spoke up. “April’s gonna try diapers.” Both Leslie and Ben looked up in shock, they certainly hadn’t expected that. April whined and tugged on Andy’s hand, as if to remind him of something. “Oh right, and I’m going to try pull-ups.”
“That’s very kind of you kiddo,” Ben smiled softly.
Andy shrugged, wrapping April in a big bear hug. “It’ll make ‘Pril feel better and I have accidents too sometimes so I think it will be a good idea.”

The diapers and pull-ups arrived a few days later, April’s had little purple stars on the front and that made her feel a bit better, at least they were cute. It took a bit of gentle reassurance from Leslie, Ben and Andy, before April agreed to actually try them on. “What if I don’t like it?” She’d asked Leslie nervously, eyeing the package which Leslie had placed on the bed.
“Then we can take it off and you never have to try them again, ok?” April nodded. She was already feeling small and it made the idea of Ben and Leslie taking care of her like this comforting. Plus, the thought that Andy was just down the hall with Ben helping him put on a pull-up made her feel much less embarrassed. She grabbed onto her stuffed dog version of Champion and wordlessly lay down on the bed.
“You’re doing so well bub,” Leslie cooed as she helped April into the diaper. April blushed, keeping her eyes trained on the ceiling above her. She soothed the soft fur of her stuffie back and forth against her cheek to keep her calm. “Do you want a onesie?” April nodded eagerly, feeling incredibly small as Leslie changed her.
“Dino please,” she mumbled around her fingers which had made their way into her mouth. Leslie picked out April’s favorite green hooded dinosaur onesie and helped her into it. The fabric was so soft and the hood was good for hiding in.
“You’re all set baby dino,” she cooed. April sat up, suddenly too excited by the fact she was dressed up like a dinosaur to care about the diaper. She roared playfully, making Leslie smile and kiss her forehead. “Does it feel ok?”
“It’s ok mummy,” she shrugged, her tummy twisting anxiously at the thought of actually talking about it. Leslie sighed, recognising April’s hesitance.
“It’s ok not to like it, and it’s also ok if you do. It’s also ok if you decide not to use it or if you do.” she explained gently, tucking April’s hair behind her ears.
April squirmed, “I think I like it… feels safe,” she explained nervously. Leslie smiled,
“That’s all we wanted, baby. For you to feel safe.” April nodded and stood up, reaching out to hold onto the hem of Leslie’s shirt as they walked out to the living room. Andy was sat on the floor, playing with his toy cars in just a pull-up and Mouserat t-shirt. She immediately felt at ease realising she wasn’t alone.
“‘Pril! Wanna play racing cars?” He asked excitedly. A part of April wanted to stay holding on to Leslie because she felt smaller than usual and Mummy was so safe but at the same time she wanted to play with Andy. She took a deep breath, Ann always told her it was a good way to ground herself, and then let go of Leslie’s shirt so she could sit on the floor beside Andy. He pulled her into his lap as he often did when they were playing together. This felt safe, part of it was different and new but that didn’t necessarily mean it was scary and bad. And she definitely wasn’t alone so it would be ok.
