The injury that made him retire was a knee injury specifically.

He insists on staying on the mountain, even though others have urged him to move to a warmer climate to help him move on from the snowboarding thing.

He does knitting on the side and made his scarf himself.

His Cetitian has actually been with him the longest, while the Altaria is a newer addition to his team.

Sometimes you get pictures just a split second too late.

A pladean whooper unearthed itself from the mud moments before I snapped the shutter.

Soon after this little guy ran off towards the water.

Paldean whooper don't naturally live in the water, prefering to live in damp boggy land as opposed to pure water.

The water of Paldea is home to the fierce Veluza. A predator that there is nothing like what Jhotonian whooper has to deal with.

Maybe one day a few hundred thousand years from now there will be a unique new pokemon in paldea that isn't a regional form. Much like what happened with Cetitian. (More on that later, getting photographs of the big boys)

Alright so this is a little late oops

Anyway I made two versions of all of them because I didn't now which one look better

Fidough: It's normally uncooked dough so now it's cooked! The first version has flour sprinkled of it, and the second version is a little burnt(don't worry he's fine)

Wooper: The Paldean version seems to be based on the Iberian ribbed newt. So I based the shiny on a leucistic one. I think I prefer the second one because it resembles it's normal shiny

Cetitian: My first thought was to make it black and white, like the whale it's based on, the Bowhead. But it doesn't look that great and I'm not sure Game Freak would do that. So the second version is pink similar to the over cetacean Pokemon's shinies

While I kinda favored Sprigatito staying on four legs at first because I thought it would help differentiate them from Incineroar, frankly very few fan designs have ever gone past “Sprigatito but bigger” or “cat with flower”. Whereas the bipedal fan designs give them a clear theming with interesting inspirations. At this point I’m hoping we get a well made bipedal design that most at mad about but will be excellent food for Incineroar enjoyers, along with the design lore fans

[ Ice skating!! ; Accepting!! ]

“I’m sure you’ll get the hang of this in no time,” Grusha chuckles as he hands Izuna the pair of skates he can use. They’re sitting on the bench together in front of the lake, getting ready to get on the ice. Cetitian tested it a couple minutes ago so he knows it’s perfectly fine-- and even if it wasn’t, a good ice beam could fix that in no time.

Lips form a warm smile as he leans down to put on his skates. “Sure, it’s a bit difficult at the start. Especially keeping your balance. You should’ve seen the amount of times I fell when I first started.”

He starts tying the laces together, finishing each with a proper bow. Grasha has done several different winter sports (skiing, sledding, snowboarding, etc) but ice skating is one of the ones that took him the longest. Probably because it was the first one he tried out as a kid, before he could use whatever he learned with one sport to improve faster with the other. But it is what it is-- besides, it’s not like ice skating is his favorite. Snowboarding is the one he decided to do professionally and finds the most exciting. Ice skating, however, is perfect when doing something calmer and more relaxing but still fun is desired. 

Grusha is genuinely happy that Izuna agreed to this-- that he gets to show one of the things he enjoys so much to his boyfriend. Maybe he can show his other hobbies in the future as well.

Finally, he sits up straight again and gets up from the bench, able to balance perfectly on the slim metal blades. A hand is offered towards his boyfriend.

“Don’t worry, though. I wont let you fall and get hurt. You can lean on me or hold my hand the whole time and I’ll teach you everything.”
