JAB, Jelsa Art Biennial 

„JAB je Jelsa Art Biennial, lociran u Jelsi na otoku Hvaru. Ovaj bijenale je kulminacija međunarodnog rezidencijalnog programa i otvorenih poziva međunarodnoj umjetničkoj zajednici, koji kombinira suvremene, eksperimentalne i participativne umjetničke radove, temeljene na refleksiji o specifičnim sociokulturnim temama područja Jelse .

Program se sastoji od osmišljenog izložbenog ciklusa, specifičnih izvedbi i instalacija te produkata promišljanja i djelovanja tijekom rezidencijalnog programa, koji prikazuju regiju i djeluju u okviru održivog turizma i praksi predviđenih za otok Hvar. Bazirajući se na umjetničkim rezidencijama, JAB će se proširiti u inozemstvo međunarodnom suradnjom u vidu rezidencijalnih programa u suradnji s umjetnicima i drugim gradovima.“ 1

Jelsa , Hvar

“Otok Hvar je kraljica hrvatskih dalmatinskih otoka. Poznat je još od antičkog doba zbog važnog strateškog i nautičkog položaja, bogatstva raznih povijesnih razdoblja, kulture, prirodnih spomenika i književnosti. Prvi počeci turizma na otoku sežu u daleku prošlost, u doba antike i srednjeg vijeka, što dokazuju vilae rusticae, čije ostatke nalazimo u cijelom Hvarskom polju kao gospodarske i ladanjske objekte. Tijekom srednjeg vijeka otok su posjećivali mnogobrojni pustolovi, prirodoslovci, etnolozi i arheolozi koji proučavaju biljke, minerale i antičke spomenike. Organizirani turizam započinje 1868. godine utemeljenjem Higijeničkog društva Hvar pod vodstvom biskupa Jurja Dubokovića. Kulturno-povijesna riznica Jelse i otoka Hvara sastoji se od brojnih spomenika koji se nalaze u crkvama, parkovima, špiljama u polju, na trgovima itd. Otkrijte Jelsu i otok Hvar kao sunčani vrt okružen čistim morem i nadsvođen kristalno plavim nebom! ”2

Projekt

Projekt MOST SHOULD BE ALL. Svi veliki projekti filloni me një prototip, non importa se è qui أوه ناك. započeo je pozivom Marije Kamber, jedne od umjetnika i organizatora ovog bijenala, koja me pitala jesam li zainteresiran intervenirati svojim radom u kontekst događanja. Iskoristila je činjenicu da ću ovog ljeta boraviti u Zagrebu na rezidencijalnom programu u pop-up galeriji Garaža Kamba, koja je u njezinom vlasništvu i u kojoj djeluje kao suvoditeljica programa. Prijedlog je bio, kao što mi se inače sviđa, neslužben, dajući mi vremena i prostora za razmišljanje o mogućnostima.

Moje je istraživanje započelo Google kartama, dajući mi sažeto viđenje iz ptičje perspektive o ovom specifičnom mjestu, ovom specifičnom otoku, ovoj specifičnoj zemlji i ovom specifičnom moru. Ono što me najviše potaknulo na djelovanje jest činjenica da je mjesto koje će ugostiti ovaj događaj odvojeno od kopna.

Cilj projekta kojeg predstavljam jest izgraditi most od mjesta Drvenik, na kopnu južne hrvatske obale, s najbližim mjestom na otoku Hvaru, Sućurajem. Prostor koji ih razdvaja širok je oko pet kilometara prolaz odvojen mirnom i toplom duljinom Jadranskog mora. 

Most

Most kao objekt stvoren ljudskom rukom stvara odgovarajuće okolnosti za prelazak s jednog mjesta na drugo, bez suočavanja s ograničenjima teritorija te ostaje kao jedan od ključnih čimbenika za napredovanje i kretanje naprijed. Bez prekida kretanja puteva, ova se struktura predstavlja kao demokratski temelj za sva događanja, fizička i metaforička kretanja, staze koje stvaraju mogućnost pokreta.

Stvaranjem mogućnosti pokreta težimo udaljenosti, a stvaranjem udaljenosti možemo imati mogućnost stvaranja svijesti o pozadinskim kretanjima svjetskih tokova. Ova veza će djelovati kao poveznica međusobno odvojenih cesta.

Povežimo sve ceste na svijetu.

Prijedlog

Ovaj projekt je otvoren prijedlog za JAB, za otok, za Hrvatsku, za Europu, za Afriku i za cijelo čovječanstvo kao zajednicu.

Nakon višemjesečnih istraživanja i proučavanja primjera koje sam mogao iskoristiti za ovaj projekt, naišao sam na djelo američko-bugarskog umjetnika Christa Vladimirofa Javacheffa pod nazivom Plutajuća pristaništa (The Floating Piers), djelo izrađeno u talijanskom jezeru Iseo, koje se sastojalo od povezivanja mjesta Peschiera Maraglio do otoka San Paolo te San Paola do Sensole na Monte Isola uz pomoć plutajućeg pristaništa. Ova je veza izvršena od 100.000 četvornih metara žute tkanine, koju je nosio modularni sustav plutajućeg pristaništa od 220.000 polietilenskih kocki visoke gustoće, koje se kretalo pokretom valova dok su se Plutajuća pristaništa uzdizala nad površinom vode ”3.

Proučavanjem ovog projekta i ispitivanjem njegovih potencijala u definiranju projekta MOST SHOULD BE ALL. Svi veliki projekti filloni me një prototip, non importa se è qui أوه ناك., kao logičan se odabir činilo kontaktirati Christa i pozvati ga na suradnju ili reprodukciju Plutajućih pristaništa u kontekstu otoka Hvara.

Započinjem ovaj e-mail sa zahvalom Vama, Vašoj voljenoj ženi i cijelom timu za sve dosadašnje inspirativne radove. Njihov otvoren karakter, bez ikakvih ograničenja koji cjelokupnoj javnosti pruža mogućnost da doista doživi umjetničko djelo jest ono što me izrazito oduševljava.

Ovim Vam putem pristupam tražeći pomoć. Usprkos izričitoj informaciji na Vašoj web stranici da ne prihvaćate nikakvu vrstu prijedloga za nova djela, važno mi je naglasiti humanitarnu korist koju ovaj projekt može imati uz Vašu pomoć.

Ne radi se samo o konstrukciji umjetničkog djela, već o realizaciji strukture koja će povezati čovječanstvo sa samim sobom. Jezgra je projekta, u kratkim crtama, u povezivanju južnojadranskog mjesta Drvenik sa Sućurajem, mjesta na istočnom kraju otoka Hvara. Povezanost obaju gradova proizlazi iz potrebe da se europski kontinent ujedini u sklopu bijenala koji će se svake dvije godine odvijati u Jelsi na otoku Hvaru. Ta veza pružit će mogućnost cjelokupnoj zajednici obale da bude dio ovog događanja bez potrebe za bilo kakvim financijskim preduvjetima.

Ovaj će put biti prototip za daljnja kretanja. Ideja je ovog mosta, uz Vaše iskustvo i iskustvo Vašeg tima, da bude početak većeg premošćivanja, dugog oko 1500 km, koje bi spojilo jug Europe sa sjeverom Afrike. Izgradnja ovog pristaništa olakšat će već postojeći tok između oba kontinenta koji postoji stoljećima i učinit će ovo putovanje otvorenim za svakoga tko ima želju putovati. Od Drevnika do Tripolija

Cilj većeg projekta je povezivanje grada Drvenika u Hrvatskoj s Tripolijem u Libiji (sl. 2), čime se stvara fizička veza između Europe i Afrike. Ova veza kretat će se od Drvenika do Hvara , Hvara do Suska, od Suska do Palagruže,od Palagruže do Viestea, Viestea do Vlore , Vlore do Leuce, Leuce do Isole di Capo, Isole di Capo do Brancaleone Marine, Brancaleone Marine do Sirakuze , Sirakuze do Portopale di Capo Passero , Portopale di Capo Passero do Malte i završiti povezivanjem Malte s Tripolijem.

Ovaj put nije izabran slučajno. Izgradnja ovog dugog mosta cilja istaknuti stazu koja već stoljećima povezuje dva kontinenta. Od prve kolonije koju je 630. prije Krista stvorio grčki trgovac u Egiptu 4, do više od 150.000 afričkih putnika koji prelaze ovo more od siječnja do prosinca 2017 5. godine, ovaj most će konačno donijeti siguran i otvoren put za prijelaz s jednog kontinentu na drugi.

Ta će struktura djelovati kao primjer za cjelokupni nevidljivi put koji postoji u ostatku svijeta, postavljajući se kao stalni podsjetnik na potrebu čovječanstva da putuje, uči i dijeli, ali i da se podsjetimo da je svijet u kojem živimo jedinstven te da bi svatko tko u njemu živi trebao biti slobodan za istraživanje.

DigiCirc - Digital technologies for the Aquaculture and Fisheries sectors

The circular economy aims to change the paradigm from the linear economy (produce, use, dispose) to a circular one that turn waste into resources. This implies limiting the resources usage, minimizing the environmental impacts, and increasing efficiency of product usage during its entire life cycle from its production, through its consumption, to the management of the waste produced. Sustainable Blue Economy scope may englobe all the activities that are related to oceans.

To increase the circular transition through digitalization of those sectors within the Blue Economy scope, DigiCirc Blue Economy accelerator, is looking for solutions based on digital technologies to tackle a series of issues of challenges identified. Challenges are classified by Blue Economy Sector.

Challenge 1: Develop solutions, products and services based on digital technologies to increase sustainability, circularity and competitiveness in the aquaculture and fisheries sectors by facing specific needs and challenges of these sectors (see examples below).

Analytics to support climate-smart, equitable, sustainable small-scale fisheries by providing training to improve knowledge, stewardship of marine resources, and resilience-building in the face of climate change and services ranging from traceability data analysis to an online marketplace.
