Apparently Rollo only eats grapes and two croissants for lunch and i've noticed it MIGHT be une référence à la sainte cène because croissants can kind be compared to bread ig (ils ont bien appelé ça un pain dans le jeu after all même si ct une hérésie de dire ça TOT) and grapes to wine? And yeah idk if that was really supposed to be a reference but i wanted to share my silly little thoughts with u bc u like Rollo and i was curious what you might think abt this
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ok first of, Rollo, dear that's a dogshit lunch. Truly...
Now that this is out, I like both takes ! since Rollo refers to croissants as......Bread (it's a pain for me to even write this ) .... It could totally be wine and bread representation (not necessarily the sainte cène though since this mf eats by himself) as a parallel to og Frollo being super religious. It could've been bread in the twisted world, it coul'd have but I went back to the event in the archives and well..
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Azul absolutely describes it like a regular croissant and refers to it as pastry....
So either Azul got it wrong (he'd never dare) or Rollo is one of those guys you would get into an argument about wether a tomato is a fruit or a vegetable. (Or the english translators kept this in and huh ?? hello croissants can be found in many bakeries internationally nowadays surely they know it's a pastry ??? aie aie aie....) Would've loved to see local foods or traditions slightly different because it's in twisted wonderland, Like the harveston clothings had many cultures pieced together !! Sami clothing is incorporated iirc ?? (though croissant being considered bread is truly a sacrilège) And bonne journée/soirée to you both ! :)

Ticci Toby’s (or any other creepypasta’s) opinion on Mac’n’cheese. Do they like it? Dislike it? With seasoning?
Personally I like mac and cheese with shell noodles and salt, pepper, garlic powder and lemon pepper. Maybe some paprika or curry powder for some extra spice.
Have a good day/afternoon/night!!!
i hope u know this ask made me so hungryyyy i need a fried chicken sandwich with a side of mac n cheese so bad … im in the trenches…
anywayyy here’s some of he creeps opinions on mac n cheese (;3;)
before Toby got his gash he definitely had a phase where he ate Mac n Cheese for every meal of the day, untill he got sick of it, now he cant stand the sight of it. Though i think just in general, with his gash, toby would avoid eating softer foods, it would probably get pretty messy and he thinks its just a hassle overall.
Jeff is a certified melted cheese hater!!! its probably a texture thing for him. on another note, because mouth is split ear to ear its difficult for him to not be a messy eater, unlike toby tho he just dosent gaf, he probably thinks its hilarious when people get grossed out with the way he eats.
BEN is a cheese FEIN!!! but bc its a ghost i dont think BEN need to eat, but i do think it does like to on occasion. definitely likes box kraft mac n cheese, and it has been caught gnawing on blocks of cheese before… scary
Nina is the master of instant and microwaveable food, she can make insta ramen taste gourmet, and same goes for mac n cheese! nobody knows how she does it.. and she will never tell.
poor Masky/Tim is lactose intolerant, he has lactose free milk in the fridge and gets so mad when people drink it (hoodie/brian)
Clockwork is also lactose intolerant but shes in denial, she swears the stomach ache she gets after eating mac n cheese is just a coincidence! she loves dairy too much to let it go..
EJ does NOT fw human food esp not cheese… ur telling me humans eat curdled milk that’s pressed into a mold and left to ferment for years??? he is such a hypocrite, mf will eat raw human KIDNEYS but not cheese?
BONUS TOBY!!!!

Bah Hiddleston | Tom Hiddleston x OFC (Tamra Harmon) | Chapter 2 | Winter Wonderland
Tumblr media
Pairing: Tom Hiddleston x OFC (Tamra Harmon)
Summary:  Tamra Harmon has no mind to mess with Christmas. All that talk about Christmas magic and the joy of the holidays is just a bunch of mumbo jumbo. But will a chance encounter with perennial Christmas lover Tom Hiddleston change all that?
This chapter:  A chance meeting at Afternoon Tea at the National Gallery sets Tom and Tamra on a Christmas adventure. Plus ice skating and hot chocolate.
Warnings for story: smut, oral sex, implied smut, vaginal sex, light angst
-
Tom’s jaw remained slack as he pulled back to study Tamra. She didn’t seem like the kind of person to spew such blasphemous language.
“I don’t understand you. Everyone likes Christmas.”
“Tamra Harmon.” she held her hand out, “Certified Christmas Hater.”
“Tom. Normal Person.” He shook her hand. “If you don’t like Christmas, why on earth did you come to London?”
Tamra studied Tom for a moment. His face looked familiar. But she couldn’t place where. She shrugged off the nagging feeling for the moment. “For the museums, Tom, no last name. I’m a curator. This is a low season for me.”
Tom’s eyebrows shot up. “Not the answer I expected.”
An attendant brought tea and food, interrupting Tamra’s response. Tom set to prep the tea. Tamra divided the sandwiches and pastries between the two plates.
“May I pour for you?” Tom held up the pot. Tamra held her cup for him to pour. He put the pot down and held up the sugar. Tamra held up one finger. Tom finished fixing the tea before tucking into the sandwiches and chocolate pastries with a voracious appetite.
“Wow!” She gave a low whistle. “How do you stay so fit with the way you eat?”
Tom chuckled as he swallowed the bite of chocolate chip scone. “I work out.” he deadpanned.
Tamra giggled. “Well, you look like you carbing up for a marathon.”
“With busy hammers closing rivets up, give dreadful note of preparation. In this case, I am preparing for Christmas crowds.”
“Shakespeare.”
“Quite right.” Tom shoved another bite of scone. “Henry V.”
“Act Four, Scene 1.”
“I’m impressed. Few can recount act and scene. Fan of the Bard?”
“Yes. I am a bit of a history buff. I take from your comment you are as well.”
Tom’s cheeks blushed at the comment. “Occupational hazard, I’m afraid.”
Tamra tilted her head to the side. “Occupational hazard?”
“I’m an actor. And what with being British, Shakespeare appears to run through my veins.”
Tamra’s mind flashed to six months ago when PBS reran The Hollow Crown. The hair longer, the beard more pronounced but now Tamra knew who sat before her.
“Holy FUCK, you’re Tom Hiddleston!” She exclaimed louder than she planned.
“In the flesh, I’m afraid. And I would advise to keep your voice down unless you want to cause a scene.” Tom held his finger to his lips and Tamra nodded.
“So why are here at the National Gallery for tea?” Tamra took a bite of a tea sandwich before wrinkling her nose and placing it back on the tray.
“I skipped lunch. I’m hungry.” Tom took a large sip of tea before popping another bite of pastry in his mouth. “Shopping is exhausting work.”
“Don’t you have assistants to do that sort of thing?” Tamra found the chocolate chip scone much more appetizing. “I prefer to do my family Christmas shopping myself.” Tamra wrinkled her nose. Tom punched his fist against the table. “That is the second time you have reacted to Christmas since I sat down. What is your problem with Christmas?”
Tamra narrowed her eyes and Tom did the same, in an unspoken game of chicken, seeing who would blink first. Tamra lost her focus in Tom’s clear blue eyes and she blinked. “I don’t have fond memories of the holidays.” she huffed.
“With such a sparkling personality as yours, I find that hard to believe.” His voice dripping with sarcasm.
“My parents got divorced at Christmas.”
Tom’s smile wiped from his face. He reached across the table and placed his hand onto of hers. “I’m sorry. I have been there myself when I was young. It is never easy.”
Tamra nodded and shoved a big bite of scone into her mouth to end the conversation. Their conversation died out as the din from the dining room filled the air. Tamra snuck glances across the table at Tom, who seemed oblivious to her spying.
Tom stared out the window as he ate. The Christmas tree glittered in the afternoon light. He chewed on the conversation as he chewed on a savory pastry. Tamra’s whole attitude towards Christmas unsettled Tom, not just the attitude but reasoning behind the negativity. A plan brewed and percolated in a corner of his mind. He turned to face Tamra, who threw her gaze askance as he faced her. Tom smiled at the whole scene. He was used to having people gawk and stare but there was something different here. Tom saw the wheels turning in Tamra’s mind.
She is a complete stranger. He mulled, trying to convince himself to not to follow through of his ridiculous plan. Luke will be furious. She might be a psychopath or worse a crazed fan. He listed all the reasons not to do this and each time he rationalized the reason away. After wrestling with himself, he gave a small nod as if to set down the path he chose.
“So…” he placed his cup back on the saucer. “My holiday plans have changed because of unforeseen circumstances and I will be in town longer than I expected. I would love some company.”
Tamra raised one eyebrow. “You want to hang out with me?” Her nose wrinkled. “What’s the catch?”
Tom’s eyes sparkled at how quickly she caught on. “You are clever. While we would keep each other company, I would like to show you all the joy and wonder that Christmas has to offer. How long are you in the country?”
“Twelve days.”
“Perfect. What do you say? What to spend Christmas with a man who eats afternoon tea alone?”
Tamra leaned back and studied Tom, mulling his proposal. She didn’t want to anything Christmas related, but she also didn’t want to spend the next twelve days alone. And she could imagine worse company than a handsome British guy.
“On one condition.”
“Name it.”
“I am here for the museums. So I will partake of holiday activities if we go to one museum a day.”
“Deal.” Tom extended his hand. Tamra shook his hand.
“Deal.” Tom began to busy himself clearing the table. “What on earth are you doing?”
“I only twelve days. I’m not wasting a moment.” he smiled as he stood and straightened his sweater.
Tamra placed the last bite of scone in her mouth before rising as well. “Well, aren’t you a man of action?”
“You have no idea.”
The two of them tugged on their winter coats as they headed out into the chilled air. Tom led the way through the busy London streets and he left Tamra with little choice but to hold his hand as he weaved into and out among the pedestrians. She didn’t know their destination headed and Tom refused to divulge his plans.
After about 30 minutes, they arrived at Hyde Park, Winter Wonderland to be precise. Tamra glared at Tom as he attempted to pull her into the cavalcade of lights and sound.
“We made a deal.” Tom responded.
“Aren’t you afraid of being recognized?”
Tom pulled his ball cap lower on his brow. “I’m invisible.”
Tamra laughed at the notion that a black baseball cap somehow rendered Tom invisible to the crowd. Tamra relented as Tom tugged on her arm again. The light arches lined the main walk area. She observed midway games, food and drink, and carnival rides. Everything Christmas themed. Tamra’s eyes darted from side to side taking in the sights. She wondered how the organizers construct something so extensive just for the holidays. Tom led them to the skating rink.
“Are you serious?” Tamra questioned as they stood in line to purchase tickets and rent skates.
“As a heart attack.” Tom gave a dazzling smile. “You don’t like ice skating? It is a time-honored winter activity, not a Christmas activity.”
“We don’t do a lot of ice skating in Florida.”
“Fair enough.” Tom nodded. “Florida, that would explain the lightweight winter coat.” Tom pulled at Tamra’s sleeve.
She moved out of his reach. “Hey, I did the best I could. They don’t sell a lot of wool at the mall. Now bathing suits, I can handle.”
She blushed realizing what she said and saw Tom blush as well.
“I am sure you dazzle in a bikini as you do in a parka and scarf with your winning personality.” Tom teased.
“Are you flirting, Hiddleston?”
“Not in the slightest. Just making an observation.”
Tamra blushed deeper as Tom wiggled his eyebrows for effect. Tom paid for the tickets and grabbed both sets of skates. In no time, he had his shoes off and skates on.
“You can put your shoes in the locker with mine.”
“Do they smell?”
“I’m not sure, but you are welcome to check.”
“Hard pass.”
Tamra pulled off her boots and placed him next to Tom’s in the locker. Tom locked the door while Tamra pulled on the skates. He helped Tamra stand, and they moved their way to the ice. Tom stepped out first, gliding out on wobbly legs.
“You look like a baby giraffe.” she giggled as she clung to the railing.
“Not the first time I have been called a giraffe.” Tom held his hands out. “Your turn.”
Tamra gripped tight to the railing.
“Trust me, Tamra. I am here.” Tom beckoned her.
With trepidation, Tamra placed one foot onto the ice followed by the other, still gripping the side.
“Trust.” Tom reassured.
She pushed off the side towards Tom’s outstretched arms. She smiled as she glided towards Tom. As she neared him, they both realized she couldn’t stop. Tamra plowed at full speed into Tom and they both dropped like a rock to the ice. They collapsed into a pile of limbs.
“That will leave a bruise.” Tom groaned as he sat up.
Tamra rubbed her backside. “Agreed.”
“Let’s try this again. A little less speed this time.”
Tamra nodded. Tom rose to his feet first, looking as graceful as one could on ice in skates. He pulled Tamra to her feet next, and they set off again, albeit much slower.
-
“And they say Floridians can’t skate.” Tom commented as they made their final round before their session ended. Tamra held Tom’s tight until the last ten minutes when he let her go. Tamra’s eye shot over to him as he pulled behind her. He shooed her away.
“I did it!” she exclaimed as she came to a stop at the side.
Tom smiled as he glided behind her, bumping against her just to tease her.
“You need more confidence.”
They stepped back onto terra firma and exchanged their skates for their shoes. As they stepped back onto the main walkway, Tamra noticed the chill of air. She rubbed her arms to warm up.
“Need to warm up?”
“Yeah, all those falls wet my clothes.”
“I know just the thing.”
Tom led her to a row of food tents. They ducked a food tent.
“Welcome to Thor’s!” the bartender greeted them.
“I guess I should have looked at the name before we entered.” Tom commented.
Tamra snickered. They perused the drinks menu. Tamra ordered a hot cocoa.
“There is nothing on here for Loki. This is an outrage!” he slammed his fists in mock anger.
“There is a Frosty Giant.” Tamra pointed out.
“One measly drink. This is unacceptable.” Tom leaned to the bartender. “Tell your boss the God of Mischief is not pleased.”
The bartender nodded and Tom gave him a wink before ordering a hot cocoa as well.
The bartender turned to prepare their drinks.
“Do you always harass the waitstaff?”
“Only when I am in good company.” He shoved her shoulder.
“On the house for the God of Mischief and his date.” the bartender commented, handing them two large mugs of cocoa.
“Not his date.” Tamra deadpanned before turning to find a seat.
Tom shrugged his shoulders at the bartender before following Tamra.
The hot cocoa warmed them to the core. They drained the mugs in no time and then stepped out into the wonderland.
“How about we check out the Christmas market?”
“What’s a Christmas market?”
“A collection of people selling Christmas related items.”
Tamra wrinkled her nose. “I will go, but I won’t enjoy myself.”
“That is all I ask.” Tom gave a small bow.
“Stop it! You are drawing attention to us!” Tamra pulled at his arm.
“As you wish.”
They moved from stall to stall with Tom looking at everything and asking questions while Tamra stood nearby wanting it all to be over. She lingered at one of the last stalls, admiring the workmanship of a hand-blown glass ornament. Tamra turned it over in her hands a few times before putting it down in haste when she caught Tom spying. She hustled away to the next stall, leaving Tom behind.
Tom picked out a few ornaments for his mother and sisters.
“Which one did the young lady look at?”
The owner gestured to a beautiful blue and white ball. Tom picked it up. The ornament was the color of the ocean. Perfect for a girl from Florida.
“I will take that one too. And can you wrap it please?”
The owner nodded and rang up the purchases. Tom trotted off to catch up with Tamra, who was tapping her foot at the end of the aisle.
“What’s in there?” Tamra gestured at the bag in Tom’s hand.
“Some presents for my sisters and mother.” Not a lie. He fudged.
“It’s starting to get dark, should we head out?”
“I have one more activity in mind.”
Tamra groaned as Tom dragged her off in the direction of the Observation Wheel.
“A Ferris Wheel? Are we at the county fair?”
“We are at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. And it’s Observation Wheel. Now stop complaining. You will be free of me for the night in no time.”
Tamra shuffled her feet. She didn’t want to admit but Tom was pleasant company. After waiting in line, the attendant loaded them into their seats. The wheel started to rise and lifted them into the London sky.
“This is how London should be viewed.” Tom gestured to the windows.
At first, Tamra saw the rainbow of lights from the Wonderland. She could see the rides and the skating rink. As they rose, the lights of the city twinkled in the evening. Tamra couldn’t pick out anything other than the London Eye in the distance but it looked beautiful just the same. At first Tom sat back to watch her, but before long he too became enamored with the view.
The lights fell from view as they made their descent and before long they were back in the cold London evening air. They walked in silence to the entrance.
“So I guess I will see you tomorrow. How will this whole thing work?” she asked.
Tom gave a nervous giggle. “I haven’t thought it out.” He rocked back on his heels. “The least I can do is give you a ride to your hotel—”
“Airbnb.”
“—Even better. We can exchange mobile numbers. And I will call you in the morning to pick you up.”
“I can’t impose on you like that. I can take the Tube.”
“Nonsense. Where are you staying?”
“Over by the Bakersfield station.”
Tom clapped his hands.
“On my way home. It’s settled. I’m taking you.” He fished his phone out his pocket and dialed a number.
“Over by Winter Wonderland by Hyde Park. Thank you.” Tom hung the phone. “Driver will be here in about ten minutes.”
“Wow. Driver on command. Fancy.”
“I assure you it is more of a pain than I care to admit.”
Tamra rolled her eyes but said nothing. A black car pulled up, and the driver got out to open the door for Tom. He gave a glare as Tamra approached the car, but Tom waved him it off.
“It’s okay, she’s with me.” Tamra slid into the back seat. The driver closed the door and returned to behind the wheel.
“Where to, Mr Hiddleston?”
“Give him the address.” Tom whispered to Tamra.
She pulled out her phone to give the address of her Airbnb. Traffic was light at night so they got to her place in about fifteen minutes. Tom lept from the car, much to the dismay of the driver, to run around the car and open Tamra’s door.
“Allow me.”
“Thank you.”
Tamra gestured to the door. “This is me.”
“Thank you for the company and being a good sport. Feeling the Christmas spirit?” Tom asked with hopeful eyes.
Tamra’s face dropped. “I am feeling the bruises forming on my ass from ice skating. Is that what the Christmas spirt feels like?”
“Hardly. I will have to try again tomorrow. Before I leave, I need your mobile.” Tamra handed Tom her phone. He typed for a bit before looking up at her with a grin and returning to type. Tom then typed into his own phone. He returned her phone after several minutes.
“Don’t look at it until tomorrow.” he ordered.
“Fine. Goodnight Tom.”
“Goodnight Tamra.” Tom extended his hand; she shook it.
“It’s been weird.” she retorted before opening her door. “See you tomorrow.”
“Tomorrow.”
Tom stood in the cold until the door shut behind Tamra. He rubbed his arms and hurried back into the car.
“Home, please.” He asked of the driver.
Tom sat for a moment in the silence, wondering how he got here and what he would do tomorrow. He wondered about all the things to do in London and that spark a thought.
“Fuck!” he muttered as he fished his phone out. He punched in a familiar number. Despite the late hour, the person on the other end, answer on the first ring.
“Luke… I have something to tell you.”

Featured artist: Redd Moody - The florida rapper that got the streets talking...
As part of our ongoing "Rap's New Generation" series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist Redd Moody from Gainesville to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint...
Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Redd Moody! Let's go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?
Redd Moody: When I was in high school, I seen one of my partners Pakman Blaze do a talent show.He performed a song that he wrote and produced/ recorded right in his room at his home all his self! After he walked off stage the whole school went crazy! Back then, way I'm from there was no local rappers at our age with a recorded song out back then! So seeing the response from the way he rock that crowd made me say to myself, damn I can do that! Plus I had be writing songs in class all day and rapping in the lunch room with a few of my homies who listened to rap music. After leaving the talent show I went home and started working on a tape.I got the bass boosted tapes to record on with two tape players, one to play the beat and one to record my voice. It was over after that! Lol ,I never stop doin music since that day forth!
"Let your actions speak louder than your words!"
Being a rapper is so competitive and everyone is trying to discredit everything you say and do at every moment. Bruh, you have to learn how to separate yourself from negative people, who are not in-line with what you are trying to accomplish. You will be tested over and over but one thing your haters can't take away from a artist is your work. Most of the time a artist gets the most criticism from people who can't even write a rap or rhyme to save their life! The only way to shut those critics up is threw your actions! Once you prove them wrong, over and over without arguing or getting upset with them, you'll usually win them over!
- Redd Moody
What about concerts? Do you play live?
Yeah, I have been doin shows in Florida this past year ,I try to get booked as much as I can. I haven't had a show in almost two months because I was working on finishing up this new ,#certified project! But I do have some shows on the calendar for next month and the month after so I can't wait to get back on stage and rock out with this GShit I just just dropped! Oh and if anyone wanna book me for ya birthday partys, or events you can hit the email [email protected] This is the only booking email to book me at!!! Prices going up soon so get at me ASAP before my project drop 1st of the year. I will come rock yo shit and show love to yo city or town!knowdat
Best punchline you ever wrote?
"I know he working fa dem people he been ah snitch / if they lookin for some chicken tellin em Popeyes got sandwiches"
- Redd Moody
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I'm currently working on dropping a new song every few months until I drop my CERTIFIED project! It's gone be hard I promise.Thats all I do,i mean from the beats to the lyrics,I'm goin in like its my last time rapping or something! I know the type of music I do created a lot of hate towards me because I speak the truth in my songs and I don't hold back on how I feel about situations that really be goin on in our area of North Florida. By doing that, it's a lot of fans that look up to me fa being so bold & aggressive in my music during this climate of the rap world that is all about not offending the wrong people, but I feel that's what makes me stand out and a lot of people salute me for standing for something and not being a yes man! My music redefines the definition of down south gangsta music! I'm standing on that old law,the same mind set 2pac had when he was in his creative state of mind.We just built different in North Florida and we don't give up easy, the motto around here is we don't get mad we get even! And that's really how shit is down here so my music speaks on real life emotions that street cats feel and the mind set in which they are in that leads up to why a lot of things take place in the streets.I speak about trust, love, hate, jealousy, friendship, loyalty, lust, pain, Betrayal, anger, depression, gun violence, and a lot more realistic things..but I put the medicine in the candy so to say! I'm not going to preach or judge ,I just get a hardcore raw ass beat and I get Str8 to the point ,raw and uncut! And my fans love it!
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yea,I would sign to a major, i fell there is only so far you can go on your own as an independent artist and one day I wanna be on the radio and billboards top 10! That's just a dream of mine to have a machine behind me to get my voice heard all over the world at one time and everybody knows my song. So with the right situation and team behind me I would do it. I have turned down deals before but I was stuck in my old way of thinking back then and I was trying to prove a point to a few people that I can do it on my own! But I learned that you need a team and at the end of the day it's about handling your business as a artist. I want to sign with a major to learn from them on how the enter machine works so I can one day partner with a major and run my own company! Plus I want to make my mark in my area to show these youngsters that it's possible to come from where we come from and make it to a level we only dream of! So yes,i would definitely sign..i always looked up to cash money records and I like how Atlantic records put out there artist as well as interscope!
Any last words?
SayNie,i wanna give a Big salute to Putnam County,Fl that's what molded me into the person I am today! City of Palatka,Fl is a big part in the shaping of my music because I can up listening to a few big dawgs from east Palatka such as Korner boy entertainment with Twan Dallas He was the 1st Rapper to ever put Putnam County on the map and it was rumored that T.I. Stole his song "SET IT OUT" which was a major hit in our area and they say Tip put the song on his group PSC (pimp squad click) album back in the day and that had the city upset fa sum years i remember. Then you got the L&HH reality star lil Scrappy who use to rap and had a song called "Headbussas" out back in the day around the time that shit happen with Ti and Twan D. Lil Scappy came to our section and did a show a my uncle cluband called out the whole city like we just pussy or weak down here! Excuse my language bruh but ,this fuck nigga just did an interview about a week ago acting like he don't know why the whole hood jumped on him in the club that night! "Lil Scrappy know why they jump on him", he got on the mic and say that we was country, lame, and dirty! Then he say he don't see no Gs in the building and that we act like we don't love him …somebody even said they heard him say fuck 3rd life! And that's a good in Putnam county that is well known fa gang bangin so what you expected my nigga? My lil dawg who died shortly after all that shit happen was the one who hit Scrappy in his mouf that night! The whole city knows this.i just dropped a song and I didn't hold back on how I feel about dawg! I don't really do the rap beef shit and how I see it this ain't no beef, but you not bout to mention my section and not get a response from one of the certified steppas that's all I know! It's 3 Main Street rappers that's well known in Putnam County, and I'm one of them! Knowdat it's my duty to say something ya heard meh!
Where can people follow you to stay up-to-date?

7 Gluten Free and Vegan Ice Cream Brands That Will Blow Even Dairy-Lovers Away
New blog post!
When people learn about my celiac disease diagnosis and my gluten free and dairy free diet, they often ask, "What about ice cream?" Luckily, nowadays, there are plenty of gluten free and vegan ice cream brands to choose from! In fact, this summer is the perfect time to find the vegan ice cream of your dreams.
Since my celiac diagnosis, I've certainly tasted my fair share of dairy free ice cream. And while I might not be an expert, I've found a few vegan ice cream options that blow even dairy-lovers away! Here are 4+ gluten free and dairy free ice cream brands that every celiac, lactose intolerant or serious foodie should consider trying!
1. Coconut Bliss Vegan Ice Cream
One of my favorite dairy free ice cream finds? Coconut Bliss, the creamiest coconut milk ice cream known to man (or girl, in this case).
I love that Coconut Bliss adopts a "healthier" mindset to their ice cream, avoiding many of the fillers commonly found in other ice creams. Case in point? Their dark chocolate flavor only has four main ingredients: organic coconut milk, organic agave syrup, organic fair trade cocoa, and organic vanilla extract. Besides being gluten and dairy free, all Coconut Bliss Bliss ice creams are also soy free and certified organic. Some of my favorite vegan coconut ice cream flavors? Dark chocolate is rich and super creamy but not overly sugary. I bought a carton of this flavor when I was visiting family a few summers ago. I only had a few days to finish off the pint, and we'll just say that I easily met that challenge. I've also enjoyed Chocolate Hazelnut Fudge and Mint Galactica...and I'm definitely drooling over Coconut Bliss's new Chocolate Chip Cookie flavor!
But what if you don't like coconut? As long as I'm eating a strong flavor like dark chocolate, I don't taste any coconut. My mom, who has a stronger aversion to coconut, always managed to taste a hint of it, though. So if you're a major coconut hater, this probably isn't the best vegan ice cream for you. *Coconut Bliss's gluten free ice cream is made in facilities that also manufacture desserts with wheat. However, they take very thorough steps to maintain their allergy-free claim, and I have never had an issue with this ice cream.*

2. So Delicious: Coconut Vegan Ice Cream Base
If you follow me on Instagram, you know So Delicious and I have a very special relationship. I finish nearly every day with some of their coconut yogurt, so it's only natural that I'd try their ice creams too.
So Delicious's coconut vegan ice creams are certified gluten free and, in my opinion, they have a much stronger coconut flavor than Coconut Bliss. They also have more "filler" ingredients, so I typically prefer Coconut Bliss. However, some of the So Delicious ice cream flavors are so drool-worthy, you have to try them. I mean, gluten free and vegan cookie dough ice cream!?! How can you say no to that? Especially when the cookie dough is equally incorporated throughout the ice cream, with every scoop having the perfect combo of chewy cookie and creamy ice cream.
My rating: 8.5/10
3. So Delicious: Cashew Milk Vegan Ice Cream Base
If you're looking for the holy grail of dairy free ice cream and don't like coconut, cashew milk ice cream is your secret weapon. When So Delicious released this line last year, everyone went crazy...and as soon as I got to taste some of the flavors, I instantly understood why.
So Delicious's cashew milk ice cream is definitely some of the creamiest vegan ice cream I've ever tried. In fact, it'll give "regular" ice cream a run for its money. Also, there's no weird aftertaste that often plagues gluten free ice cream or other dairy free products.
The chocolate flavor isn't a bad pairing either!
In fact, I got the chance to try all four of the original flavors when they were first released. My thoughts?
Vegan Vanilla Ice Cream:
This gluten free ice cream flavor is super creamy and - to my complete surprise - one of my favorites. I'm not usually a vanilla girl (more of a chocolate and everything but the kitchen sink), but this flavor really lets the cashew ice cream base shine. It also pairs deliciously with our favorite chocolate birthday cake (made using Pamela's mix).
Vegan Chocolate Ice Cream:
This dairy free ice cream flavor is equally creamy and delicious. I also like how dark the chocolate flavor is. Not too sugary but not too rich either!
Also pairs deliciously with gluten free apple pie!
Vegan Chocolate Cookies N' Cream Ice Cream:
Imagine your favorite dark chocolate ice cream - and then crumble Oreos over it. That's exactly what this flavor tastes like. Finding gluten free Oreo cookies that taste like the real thang isn't easy, but the cookie pieces in this ice cream totally bring me back! The cookie-to-ice-cream ratio is also on point. Enough cookie crumbles for a crunch in every bite, but not enough to overshadow the chocolate vegan ice cream. If you're a true chocoholic, skip the plain dark chocolate and choose So Delicious's Chocolate Cookies N' Cream instead.
Vegan Salted Caramel Cluster Ice Cream:
This is So Delicious's top-selling vegan ice cream flavor and I can see why. This is a super sweet ice cream and I can't handle more than a few bites. However, there's something crazy addictive about the combination of sweet vanilla and salty clusters of caramel. In fact, my dad (who loves gluten and dairy) actually prefers this gluten free ice cream flavor over any other flavor or brand.
My rating: 10/10 (overall)
4. So Delicious Gluten Free Ice Cream Bars
Okay, I know I've already covered plenty of So Delicious products. However, they offer so many gluten free ice cream options, So Delicious deserves another mention. This time, I'm drooling over talking about their vegan ice cream bar. I can't count how many times my sister and I chased after the local ice cream truck, and chocolate anything was always my favorite. Luckily for young (and old) celiacs, lactose intolerants and vegans everywhere, So Delicious has brought the ice cream bar within reach again!
The only flavor my family has tried so far is the new Salted Caramel cashew milk ice cream bar. As expected, these disappeared quickly. The salted caramel ice cream tastes just as delicious in the bar as it does in the carton, and the chocolate shell adds a nice crunchy contrast. I also like that these ice cream bars are a little smaller than normal, making them the perfect size for one (or two if you're feeling generous).
My rating: 9/10
5. Almond Dream Vegan Ice Cream
This was the first dairy free ice cream I found and liked after my diagnosis. Although I stopped eating Almond Dream after discovering I have an almond intolerance, I enjoyed this option at the time. All the flavors of Almond Dream Ice Cream are super smooth and creamy, and there's no aftertaste from the almond base. For whatever reason, the chocolate flavor didn't taste like "traditional" chocolate ice cream, so it wasn't my favorite. Instead, I preferred the mint chocolate chip and toffee almond crunch. The mint flavor had a strong but not overwhelming or superficial hit of mint throughout, and the chocolate chips added a consistent crunch. Meanwhile, the coffee flavor was a surprise winner. It tasted similar to coffee, which I'm not usually a fan of. However, combined with the large chunks of chewy fudge and the crunch of ground almonds, the toffee flavor was addictive!
One of the first pictures on my blog...
Besides those flavors, Almond Dream Ice Cream also comes in Cappuccino Swirl, Vanilla, Strawberry, Praline Crunch and various vegan ice cream bites and sandwiches. *Almond Dream ice cream is processed in a facility with wheat, and I have read that some celiacs have issues with Rice Dream, part of the Dream line. I emailed Almond Dream for clarification, and the response (sent from overseeing company Hain Celestial) read in part: "If gluten is a major ingredient, it will be specified in the ingredient list. For consumers concerned about the presence of trace amounts of gluten, we suggest avoiding products that include natural flavors or spices. Hain Celestial Group products that make a gluten-free claim will carry the triangular Gluten-Free symbol, contain a gluten-free label, or specify Gluten Free certification by GFCO." Almond Dream's vegan ice creams have the triangular gluten free symbol but also contain natural flavors. When I ate Almond Dream years ago, I didn't experience any negative reaction; however, I'm not sure I would try this ice cream again. Hopefully, this information will help you decide if Almond Dream is the best vegan ice cream for you!*
My rating: 8/10.
6. Bonus: three dairy free ice cream brands I haven't tried but have heard great things about!
Nada Moo:
First off, Nada Moo, which should automatically receive props for the A+ name. While I haven't tried Nada Moo yet, other bloggers swear by its creamy coconut base and variety of flavors. This vegan coconut ice cream just released its Rockiest Road and Birthday Cake Cookie Dough flavors in early 2017, and they sound too good to pass up. If I try Nada Moo anytime soon, you'll be sure to hear my thoughts!
Snow Monkey:
While Snow Monkey may not be a "vegan ice cream" by the strictest definition, I'd be remiss to not mention this vegan and paleo sorbet. Made with healthy ingredients like puréed fruits, sunflower butter, vegan protein powder and superfoods, I'd be happy to eat this dairy free ice cream for breakfast if I couldn't blend up my own gluten free smoothie bowl. Right now, it comes in two flavors: Cacao and Goji Berry.
Coconut Bliss's Vegan Ice Cream Sandwich:
Last but not least, Coconut Bliss's Vegan Ice Cream Sandwich. This frozen treat - which comes in vanilla or dark chocolate - was just revealed in January, and I almost licked my phone screen when I saw it. I mean, what's better than gluten free chocolate cookies plus super creamy vegan ice cream!?! I've yet to find this gluten free ice cream sandwich in stores, but my Coconut Bliss radar is on!
I got all the details from one of my fave bloggers...
Sure, celiac disease may limit your diet to gluten free foods. However, that doesn't mean you still can't enjoy gluten free and vegan ice cream that tastes like the real thang! In fact, whether you're looking for a nut-based ice cream, a creamy coconut dessert, a low-calorie frozen treat or an epic vegan ice cream sandwich, you can find your perfect match on this list.
