4 shifts to help you alchemize personal demons and baggage
fear of being alone is connected to your level of self respect when your *heart is too closed* you have created barricades that disconnect you from experiencing love moment to moment. this is *where* you are consistently noticing everything wrong with others and the world from, which is just reflecting your current perception of your own power. when you close your heart, and a positive…

Brainwash yourself with good habits. You need to do it the way you would train a dog - fetch the stick and get a treat.
I love listening to music but I also wanted to start listening to podcasts. I have to go to work everyday, and I prefer to drive myself to work and back.
I know that if I make myself listen to podcasts both drives, the habit will last not more than 3 days.
But if I make myself listen to a podcast on the way to work; and listen to my favourite music on the way back home to de-stress and relax; now that’s a healthy compromise. And it works for the long term.
The same goes with social media. I deleted all social media from my phone. I don’t have Facebook, Instagram, or even tumblr on my phone. The YouTube account that I keep on my phone has been very consciously kept; I only allow the algorithm to show me educational stuff like podcasts, history videos, news, psychology, stuff like that. Absolutely no entertainment. I keep all my social media (and my “fun” YouTube account which is basically Korean mukbangs and all sorts of useless beauty hauls that I honestly love to watch) on another device - my iPad, which I use for work. I check out what’s happening on tumblr or YouTube or Pinterest when it’s my lunch break or a coffee break. That’s another healthy compromise that works for me.
Going cold turkey with anything - stopping something addictive like smoking or drinking or suddenly starting a plethora of new habits- doesn’t work. You’ve restricted your mind and body so much that you keep remember the good old days where you drank like a whale and sat on the couch watching rubbish and you glamorise, romanticise and reminisce those times. Now you’re in that dangerous red zone where you know that if you see that bottle or the packet of chips, your body is going to reach for it before your mind can intervene.
Aim for long-term, sustainable albeit small habits, rather than complex overnight habits.

Goals for the following week
My main goals during my level up journey are getting hotter, smarter, healthier and becoming a girl with charisma. To accomplish those, I need to: - do my skincare every day - move my body for at least 30 minutes a day - increase protein and fiber intake - stop picking and scratching my skin (a bad habit which affects my appearance) - practice my social skills in private - study Japanese according to my schedule - start studying for the language Olympiad - engage in activities and hobbies that are not scrolling (eg. painting, reading and writing) - limit my screen time I know that seems like a lot, but I broke them down in smaller steps so that they are doable. I recommend you do the same. You won't be able to study five hours a day, go to the gym for 1h and practice your social skills for 2h every day, but you can study for 1h and a half, run for 20 min and talk to the mirror for 15 minutes. Doing these for 5-6 days a week will make you see faster results than being extreme for 2 days a week and then rotting in bed the following 5. Also, I encourage you to set goals and adopt behaviors that actually help you level up and be your best version instead of following an aesthetic and doing yoga before going to bed when you need to focus on your financial situation or learn a new skill. Are you ready for a new week, loves? Let's get it started!

Millionaires aren't working 24/7, waking up at 4 am, or showing off on social media.
If you want to be a millionaire, mimic their habits:
1. Read a lot
2. Set big goals
3. Think long-term
4. Take calculated risks
5. Network with high achievers
6. Embrace delayed gratification
7. Invest in yourself and self-education
Never underestimate the power of small habits.

your inner child is craving your warmth
Your inner voice is either creating heaven on earth or hell on earth for you and as you. Your inner talk sets the tone for the state of your inner world, which as a result you embody in your outer world. Your inner world is the reality you are creating day in and day out through your private mind. You can never escape your private mind. When you attempt to, it feeds & empowers the inner…

January 2023 Recap
Goals Post
Hits:
Career
- I attended that really prestigious networking conference I wanted to.
- I launched my start-up event and it went well.
- I’ve committed to my newsletter (1x week = 4x month), Uncultured.
- I’m working on a local mentoring business with my friend, to be launched in March.
Charity
- I found a tiny underprivileged school that I’m going to be working with. I’m still debating what I can offer to them and where I can help.
Personal growth
- I read 3 books
- I did an online course on Vastu, the ancient science of architecture, as I’m intrigued by Vedic sciences. I was initially going to do a course on emotional intelligence, but I’ve decided to renovate my room completely and I felt that the Vastu course would be more relevant. I’m going to be delving deeper in ancient sciences as well - I want to sign up for Ayurveda (herbal medicine) courses next, and then Vedic Maths.
- I have been consistent with my brain games (I play this short mental math game everyday)
Beauty
- Got the spa day I needed
Health
- I’ve limited my junk food intake to almost zero this month (just one night, but I chose aglio olio pasta with lots of veggies), despite socialising nearly every weekend. I also managed to stop myself at the exact amount of drinks I wanted to - 2 to be precise - and I’m glad I did that. I’ve been drinking green juices and soups religiously. Weirdly enough, even though I barely worked out this month, my weight dropped by a kilo, and so did my waist measurement, by like an inch.
Misses:
Health
- Working out. I fell sick majority of this month with a bad flu, then just as I got better, I got the most excruciatingly painful period. 10/10 to my body. I only managed to work out towards the end of the month.
Career
- I missed 2 virtual seminars I wanted to attend so badly because of the flu. They were scheduled at 3:30 am for me because it was an international event, so I literally couldn’t attend it. This was, unfortunately, unavoidable.
Personal Growth
- Meditation consistently and consecutively. The only excuse here is the lack of discipline. I hate that I fell off the track.
Lessons Learnt:
1. Stick to my schedule. I can plan well, but I need to be more consistent.
2. Waking up early has been a boon.
3. Double check everything that I write/ receive at work. I can be careless at times.
4. I tend to forget things if I don’t note it down. I still forget to note down 30% of the things I have to do and then I recall it at a time when it’s not appropriate.
5. The habit tracker helps a LOT.
6. Meditating in the morning after showering but before my breakfast is the most convenient way to stack that habit.

So, Walt wants a Framework...
I may have created a monster.
See, Mondays are slow in the morning for us, and the weekend vibes don't really end until noon sharp. So, Sarah and I are discussing potential work-related upgrades, when Walt mentions that his trusty ASUS laptop is starting to feel sluggish.
I mean - you know me. You know Sarah, too. We immediately had Linux Distro boners, and considering how Walt isn't tech-focused and really needs a turn-key solution, Linux Mint was our best choice. Still, the hardware proper was aging, so Walt did as Walt does and took to Best Buy's website to show me the first page that crops up when you type "laptop" in their Search bar.
He wasn't wrong in the sense that swapping one entry-level device for another one would've done the trick; even a basic and bare-bones platform designed to run MS Office as its most resource-intensive task could've done the job. The problem is, I'm getting sick of dealing with bi-yearly comments related to how he's "unsure" of his laptop's performance. I want something I could overspend on intentionally in order to give him a nice, sizable buffer of performance that could last at least five years.
Considering, the best option really is a Framework laptop. I showed him the company's website, explained the business model to him, and now he's hooked, envisioning a future where all he needs to run presentations for the extremely rare event of his needing to beat pavement to find us clients is a snazzy lil' pouch crammed with a few Expansion Bay modules, including USB-C. It immediately turned his Pitch Brain on, and he started selling me on the worth of using sustainable tech in our day-to-day operations, to predictably and playfully poke fun at me for daring to use a boutique laptop (from Razer) in what is likely the least-sustainable choice imaginable...
I rolled my eyes. "It's a Blade 14 from two years ago; I can't just toss that out the window! Morally, I have to take that hardware to its limits first, and then worry about revisions!"
Walt scoffed back. "Aw, come on; it'd be a business expense! We should all get a Framework!"
Followed twenty minutes of Sarah and I trying to talk our now laptop-obsessed boyfriend into letting us keep using the same portables we already have, and doing our best to convince him that he's the one who needs an upgrade.
"But you don't even game on your laptop!" notes Walt. "Don't you wish you could do that on your off-time?"
I rolled my eyes. "Sure, hon - I'll just use the company Visa at 41 years old and just buy myself a new toy like I'm an idiotic Sales Rep who's just been slated for a fat commission! No! I cannot do that, Walt! Besides, my laptop is for work! What does it say about me if I use company hardware to frag noobs after hours?!"
Walt drew himself up, smirking. "I don't care what it says, because I'm the boss of this company - and the boss wants us to have sustainable tech, now. It's good for the planet, good for our image, and I'll have a reliable one-stop shop for any future upgrades."
I threw my hands up. "Fine, whatever! Let's just burn twenty thou plus taxes off of our operational budget! I love you, hon, but this is the shittiest idea ever, Walt."
Walt placed a hand on my shoulder. "I'll call Scrooge, get him to draw us up a budget with a few mockup bills. If it makes sense, we'll pull the plug. If he tells me I'm being delusional, then we'll just buy one for me."
Sarah gave Walt a circumspect look. "Fine. But if it turns out you just buy one for yourself, I forbid you from loading up our own Visa for Christmas gifts shaped like laptops, later on."
That knocked a few Machiavellian twinkles out of Walt's eyes - but not by much. I know the big guy; if he's convinced himself we deserve something, we'll get it, even if we issue moral objections. It might take years and he might use different excuses, but it'll happen.
Note to self: try and convert the BF to Ascetism, or at least Minimalism...
