Also did I mention on here that I'm making Tin one of Sister Imperator's ghouls? Like there's Special Ghoul and her Ghoulettes, then Tin's just sorta there (not really just there- they do a lot of clerical stuff for Sister when she's away or if there's some translations needed)

Now it's Copia's problem because I get the vibe that man cannot keep his ghoul's on a tight leash lol

There was two ghoulettes on cellos, one on the grand piano, and one vocalist. They were featured during If You Have Ghosts.

in another life, the orchestra ghoulettes are a permanent part of the band. (so here are the cello ghoulettes in the impera uniforms)

Here it is !! the finished illustration of the new Ghoulettes !! they've been on my mind for two weeks now, im happy i was able to do something that i like with them !!!

i think i'll post ref sheets of their designs in the next few days, as well as some other sketches i did !

quick explanation for their names : i really liked Eden and followed that idea, and because i feel like cellos are water/bass instrument i looked up what seas where important in the Bible and how they were called at different time periods and found that the dead sea was called Nekra in ancient greek, and the red sea Erythra. Lume was already popular, and i actually enjoy it so i just kept it like for Eden !

for those asking about the ghoulette dresses: it was your classic victorian mourning gown. floor length with veils that covered their whole faces—unclear if masked underneath still or if the veils were opaque enough they didn’t use them. personally i think the veils would have been opaque enough based on historical examples we have. think constance hatchaway haunted mansion realness, but make it black and you’ll have a pretty close approximation.

edit: here’s some photo refs off of google that are similar—top right is closest in terms of skirt shape, from what I could see.

edit edit: just to be clear, they only wore these for 1 song! it was the if you have ghosts cover. four ghoulettes total, with 2 playing cellos, 1 on grand piano, and one on either vocals or theremin (I couldn’t tell! if anyone had a clearer view pls lmk!)

Maybe this is wishful thinking, BUT I hope we get a program booklet to go with that DVD would be nice to see the costumes up close from the Cello ghoulettes and the Piano etc etc and Papa, ghouls yea you get the drift.

vocalist: Estelle (quintessence) 1st cellist: Naia (water) 2nd cellist: Neve (water) pianist: Artemis (earth/air hybrid)

The chamber ghoulettes are older than the Clergy itself. The four--two friends and two sisters--came together to form the still running quartet. To honor Lucifer. To set a soundtrack for the budding church. Even today, they are highly respected and revered as the chamber ensemble for mass and special events.

The group is elusive--mysterious and private. They prefer to keep to themselves, residing in their own quarters on the abbey grounds. Forming a little commune of their own, as they have for centuries.

Copia, of course had become familiar with them, first as a watcher, and then as a leader. He respected their privacy, their hertiage with the church he now leads. Would never ask too much of them. But with the upcoming movie, he decided it was time they should be officially honored alongside their modern musical counterparts. To highlight the ancestry, the ones who came before them all.

Estelle and Artemis were both born topside. Drawn to the small group of mortals and demons forming a new community in the countryside. Naia and Neve, sisters, younger and older respectively, were refugees of sorts. Escaping from their nearby village after being hunted by invading humans. Finding the church by accident, but inadvertently drawn to its bubble of magick. Finding their shared love for music as instruments evolved and changed over the centuries. Artemis' first instrument was actually the harp, as the first piano wouldn't be constructed until many many years after her cohorts' cellos. Estelle melded them all together, bringing words to their melodies.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Spoilers that I've scraped from multiple sources about the 1st LA Forum show-

1) Twenties and If You Have Ghosts was played along with the regular setlist

2) Papa had a boxing robe and gold boxing gloves during Twenties

3) The ghoulettes had black dresses and black veils on during If You Have Ghosts

4) There was a cello and grand piano on stage during IYHG. There is a few sources saying that Cirrus (keytar ghoulette) played the cello and Cumulus (keyboard ghoulette) played the grand piano during it

5) Papa Nihil did his saxophone solo, but he was played by Nihil's actors from the chapters, rather than Swiss

6) There were skeleton dancers during Dance Macabre and Twenties. At one point, Papa was lifted up by them (there's photo proof that Ryan, the ghost photographer, has asked not to be reposted)

7) Mountain's drumkit was moved to the middle front of the stage

8) There was two stages, the regular one and one in the crowd that Papa went on during Twenties

9) It was being filmed professionally

I have finally decided on names and elements for my Chamber Ghoulettes (as I’m working on my Sibling of Sin’s story and first chapter) and I thought I’d share.

As someone who was in string orchestra, I have opinions of which element would correspond to which string instrument (as a comparison to the normal instruments).

So violins would be Fire.

Violas would be Quintessence.

Cellos would be Water.

Bass would be Earth.

And of course, piano as well as vocals are Air.

Moving onto the actual four Chamber Ghoulettes, I decided to have fun and make two of them Multighouls to spice them up.

So, the operatic singer. Her name is Nimbus, and as nimbus cloud types are rain clouds, she is a dual element multighoul of Water and Air to have the double siren effect (og Greek sirens being the inspo for Air ghoul powers, and then modern day sirens being mermaid like creatures). Wombo combo!

The pianist next. Her name is Stratus, and she is a pure Air Ghoul as I couldn’t see any other element type fitting her alongside Air.

The two cellists get interesting. The first cellist is named Mere, and she is a Water Ghoul who you’d think is a dual element with Earth as mere is another would for moor or marsh, but she’s just a swampy Water Ghoul.

The second cellist on the other hand is a dual element Water and Earth ghoul, and her name is Tarn! As tarns are mountain pools, I thought the dual elements would work well together. The interesting part about her is that the combination of Earth and Water makes her into a very ice based ghoul, as tarns are formed due to glaciers (or something like that).

I have seen them be called Sister Imperator’s ghoulettes and I think that is amazing for my version of the Ghost lore. At some point, I will draw the four of them along with a unique version of their masks for everyday wear at the Ministry!
