Okay, let’s do Serena’s name.

Serena’s name is written セレナ, Serena. It can be romanized as:

Because it is a foreign name, we aren’t going to gleam Kanji spelling for it. 

The actual spelling of the Greek goddess Selene is セレーネー (Spelled: Sereenee). In YGO, Serene is spelled as:

セレーネ (Spelling: Seleene, in Selene, Queen of the Master Magicians)

セレン(Spelling: Seren, in Evil Eye of Selene)

The sere セレ, is used in Ceremony (セレモニー), Celestial (セレスティアル), Select (セレクト), Celest (セレスト, in Celestine Wagtail).

As we discussed in Lunalights’ names, the specific Katakana naming here refers to serenade (セレナード).

Serena’s name is an inversion of Asuka’s name,  明日香,  which is 明, bright, 日, day/sun, 香, aroma. Asuka’s 明, a, Kanji, is literally a combination sun, and moon. This Kanji, combined with 天, ten from her surname (天上院, tenjo, 天上, means heaven, or zenith, in, 院, means institution, but here it would be temple.), 天明, tenmei, means daybreak.

So, Serena is the song of the night, Asuka is the smell of bright day(break).

(And yes, Luna Light Perfume uses the same 香 kanji as in Asuka’s name, though it is spelled ga (が) there.)

The goddess Selene has no association with cats, or most other animals in general, though she has a later developed association with Nemean Lion. The cat imagery likely comes from Seline Kyle, and Usagi’s past life as Princess Serenity. Selene is the inspiration of the name of Selenicereus genus. It is also the inspiration of Japan’s second lunar orbiter, known as Kaguya in Japan.

The reason why they went with a Greek origin name is likely because of the Greco-Roman theming going around in GX, alongside the Jewish theming that is more present. This is because GX wanted to go for older mythologies that weren’t Egyptian. (Consider use of Mesoamerican, and Norse mythology in 5D’s).

I have 974 posts sitting in my draft box. Of those, there are probably 6 threads I keep telling myself to do...but then I forget

2. What is your favourite band/artist?

My current favs are a band called Public with the Score coming in second, but I’m always a sucker for a good Linkin Park song

3. What’s an AU you’ve always wanted to write?

Hmmm maybe like one of those “the name of your soulmate” or “the timer till your death” AU would be pretty cool. I haven’t really done one of those before despite loving them so much

4. How many people do you follow?

893 blogs and slowly growing more by the day lol

5. What’s one thing on your blog that you’re proud of?

My muses. They are so much more developed than they started and I’m so proud of how far they have come as characters.

6. What’s something you like about your own writing?

I really like that I’m able to give more distinct voices to each of the characters I write as. Celina doesn’t sound like Ciara and neither sound like Damon and so on. I’m really happy I’m able to create a variation for different characters.

7. What’s something you want to work on in your writing?

Incorporating more of the senses. For example, I need to remember to not just to show that the muse is in a diner but remember to add what does it smell like, how does the seat feel or is the coffee warm to the touch or is it disgustingly cool as they have the misfortune of feeling it slither down their throat?

8. What’s your favourite season?

Fall. I like how it usually isn’t too cold or hot, Halloween is involved, I can start wearing sweaters again, and I have an excuse to buy hot chocolate again

9. How many blogs do you run?

Technically I have 3, but the third one is pretty inactive.

10. What’s your favourite plant?

I love bonsai trees. I don’t own one myself, but I love how cute and small that little tree is.

General Yandere Mickey Mouse Hcs

Type: Obsessive + Clingy

Since the day he was created he had always seen your presence. You were his animator, the one who gave him mobility and emotions.

You always drew his pie-cut eyes so perfectly, along with the most dashing pair of shorts and shoes.

It would only make sense that he began to adore you. So whenever you weren’t looking, he would draw little hearts on the corners of your drawing board.

The times you weren’t at the studio, he makes little secret admirer notes, signing off with the name “M. M.”

But that wasn’t enough. He wanted more, more of your attention, more of your love.

So he started experimenting on trying to get out of the 2D world he is stuck in.

It took him a long time, especially with how famous he was becoming in the recent months. But finally he did it.

One morning as you arrived at the studio, a mouse was there, his black ears turned away from you. You were skeptical at first until you heard the same silly voice that Mr. Walt Disney did.

“Hi-yah, sweetheart! Wanna have some fun dandy-doo at the studio today?”

Your world stopped from the moment he repeated those words.

He wouldn’t go anywhere without you by his side, nor does he let you go anywhere without him by your side.

At night he sleeps beside you, his thin tail wrapped around your arm.

He asks many questions about you, even if they’re quite nosy.

“Who’s your ideal type? I sure do hope it’s me huh-ha!”

Tw: suffocation, murder, this is a crack fic

The King holds up the Raggedy Cloth, a disgusted expression crafted onto his face. “How dare they? I will immediately find the person who attempted to suffocate me and my future reign!”

“It was I, Danielston III, who suffocated you.” A mysterious voice speaks, bouncing off the bedroom’s walls.

“What? Whoever could it be?” Danielston III questions himself, searching the vicinity for the criminal.

“Me. The cloth you now hold.”

The king looks downwards, only to see the sight of a face sewed into the cloth. It looks up at him, an devilish grin etched onto its small being. “Until we meet again, King of Uranium.”

Suddenly, a short turtle with mouse features barges into the room, his shoes mustard yellow and his shorts a scarlet red. “Raggedy Cloth! We must leave, now!”

Due to shock, the purple masked turtle is unable to react in time. The mouse-turtle snatches the cloth and jumps out the window, his figure growing distant into the midnight sea.

“You shall be cursed! Cursed of my wrath and army!” The king takes out a metal staff covered in spikes all around its shaft. But before he could pursue the pair, a table slides in, holding a piece of paper on it’s flat surface.

“Brother! Apparently, our distant cousin, Bowser, is coming to see us! We must surely attend!” His face glitters with excitement, rocking the legs of his rectangular body.

Danielston III frowns, his brows furrowed in dismay. “Tableo, we need to run after those criminals! That wretched Raggedy Cloth and his new partner Mikey Mouse have tried to suffocate me!”

“Oh, I see…” The furniture pauses, staring up at his sibling. “Anyway, Bowser?”

“Damn you!”
