Lemme just ramble on about my TS//AMS Mermaid AU–

SO I've been fleshing it out, yadda yadda, reaaally fixtated on Mermaids rn. And so that mixed with my Tsams fixtation, amd now I have an au.

So Sun, Moon, Lunar, Earth and Eclipse are (surprise surprise) Celestial Mer.

But, Celestial is just a baseline species of Mer. The type of Celestial Mer differs.

Sun is a Light Celestial, Moon's a Dark Celestial. They're both still technically blood-related brothers, as Dark and Light Celestial Mers can be in the same clutch and whatnot. Pretty early on they courted eachother and are now mates. They're like, the OG couple, they've marked eachother and everything.

Earth is a one of her kind, Planet Celestial Mer (might change this later). She was born after Sun and Moon, and was the final addition to the family.

Lunar and Eclipse are blood-related brothers, but they were originally seperated at birth. Lunar and Eclipse's Celestial type is unknown. Though for whatever reason, whether it be due to birth complications with Lunar or something else, Lunar didn't grow right. He's stuck at 5ft5, which is the average height of a Celestial Mer child.

Eclipse and Lunar at first were unaware that they were blood-related. Eclipse took Lunar in as Lunar was abandoned at birth after being seperated. Lunar didn't know how to really do anything, he was scared and alone. At first he was really attached to Eclipse, but Eclipse had ended up being too harsh, too hard on Lunar, and managed to make Lunar leave him. Lunar was found by Sun and Moon, and joined their family. But Eclipse was also very possessive, as Merfolk are. He marked Lunar far before he left. Marking is a really big thing amoungst Mers, it's a claim of ownership almost. But I'll get more into that later.

Eclipse ended up somehow joining their family, but it was because he saw benefit in being with others. Mers are social creatures, and cannot thrive on their own.

The Creator had abandoned Sun and Moon due to unknown reasons, which was what actually led to Sun and Moon getting so close.

Which I originally created this with a reader insert, but I wanna make it to where you don't need said reader insert. It's not gonna be focused on that, though I miiiight post a fic on Ao3 about it!I have more stuff about it, but that's the baseline idea.

OH WAIT, OKAY SO I FORGOT TO MENTION SOMETHING-

At some point, Lunar and Earth courted Sun and Moon, so we have them. At some point Eclipse has to go into the group, so he gets courted in. Imagine them just having a big cuddle pile, or like Moon helping Lunar hunt better (Moon's the hunter of the family, Eclipse not included. Lunar wants to hunt but struggles due to his size.), Sun and Moon being oh so close together, practically inseperable because they were all they had as children, and now they're mated and marked and courted, they're eachother's everything. Oh, he 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥 his sister so, so, SO much! He couldn't even put into words how much he loved her. They couldn't help it, there was just so much 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 about her! She was 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘺, and 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥-𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘥 (god, was she kind. They didn't think that there was a kinder being to exist.), she was 𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘴, and did they mention 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘺? Because she was. She practically 𝘨𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘥 wherever she went; radiating happiness, comfort and safety wherever she went, adding to her beauty. Each step she took was pretty. Her cloudlike hair bouncing behind her as her skirt flowed 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘺, perfectly fitting her body. Oh, and her 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘴. They were so comforting, and radiated safety and love. Whenever he was near her he felt as though he could conquer the world! He felt as though he was never alone, because with her, he wasn't. He was 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥, was 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳, 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵. He never wanted her to leave whenever she came around. She was so good at helping people, helping with their feelings, their 𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴. She was empathetic and understanding and so, so sweet. In fact, he was convinced that she couldn't do an 𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘦 of wrong, she was so perfect.

… But she wasn't with him; she was with someone else… Had eyes for someone else… Of course, she'd never date her own 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳. He just loved her 𝘴𝘰 much, though he'd never admit it to her lest she despise them; lest she be 𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘶𝘭𝘴𝘦𝘥 by him…

So for now, he'd stay in the shadows. He'd hide behind pillars of familial love, of toned down compliments. He'd hide just how strong his love was for her. For not only her sake, but for his 𝘰𝘸𝘯. He'd be damned if he lost his sister to a little "crush"… Even if that crush sometimes felt like a 𝘭𝘰𝘵 more.

OKAY, SO–The Bloodmoon twins. They're brothers, they call eachother "brother", and they love eachother like siblings do. But, they're also best friends, eachothers companions, even–so attached to eachothers hips that if one were to leave they would both be devastated. If we take it a step further, then they're lovers; they love eachother oh-so very much, words cannot explain it. They're two beings, but also one; the same without merging. They're eachothers soulmates, forever bound together even if one of them were to perish. They live eachother in every way imaginable; they're lovers, and siblings and companions to eachother, and anything else that I might've missed. You name it.

They have the same everything. they're almost the same being, despite their different personalities (and technically ages, since The Original came before The Adaption). They're eachothers pieces and parts and lives and–

Living without their other, in fact, seems like an impossible mission. If they had seperate bodies, they'd hold hands and hug and cuddle and kiss and they'd never be apart; they couldn't be. They love eachother more than waking up every morning, more than blood and more than life itself. They feast together–working as one, because, in a way, they are one.
