Vincent Dutrait
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vincent Dutrait is a highly acclaimed board game artist and illustrator renowned for his exceptional contributions to the visual aesthetics of various board games. While he is not a game designer himself, his artistic talent has left an indelible mark on the gaming industry. One notable title that features Dutrait's captivating artwork is "Lewis & Clark," a historical board game designed by Cedrick Chaboussit. In this game, players embark on an expedition through uncharted territories in North America, and Dutrait's illustrations bring to life the breathtaking landscapes and challenges faced by the explorers.
Another piece of work showcasing Dutrait's artistic prowess is "Rococo," a game designed by Matthias Cramer set in the opulent Baroque era of the 18th century. As players take on the roles of dressmakers crafting elegant attire for the nobility, Dutrait's detailed and sophisticated illustrations capture the essence of the period, adding depth to the game's thematic richness.
In the realm of strategic gaming, Dutrait's art graces "Rising Sun," a game designed by Eric M. Lang. Set in feudal Japan, the game features powerful clans competing for control and influence. Dutrait's vibrant and detailed depictions of mythical creatures and characters contribute to the game's immersive experience.
Vincent Dutrait's talents extend to the party game genre as well, as seen in "Dixit Odyssey," an expansion for the popular game "Dixit" designed by Jean-Louis Roubira. In "Mysterium," a cooperative deduction game designed by Oleksandr Nevskiy and Oleg Sidorenko, Dutrait's atmospheric and mysterious illustrations enhance the immersive ambiance of the game.
While I can appreciate Vincent Dutrait's artistic talent in board game illustrations, I find that some of his work, like in "Rococo" and "Lewis & Clark," tends to be a bit too old-fashioned for my personal taste. The detailed depictions of historical eras and landscapes are undoubtedly impressive, but I lean towards a more modern and contemporary aesthetic in board game art. In "Rising Sun," although the mythical elements are captivating, the overall feudal Japan theme feels a bit traditional for my preferences. Even in party games like "Dixit Odyssey," where the whimsy is delightful, I find myself yearning for a more modern and edgy visual style. It's not a critique of Dutrait's skill, which is undeniable, but rather a reflection of my inclination towards board games that embrace a more contemporary and cutting-edge approach to art and design.

Dallas' depth at several positions helps them avoid last season's mistake Last season, it appeared from the outside looking in that Dallas put all its eggs in one basket at the wide receiver position. They told Amari Cooper thanks but no thanks for his services. Micha... #DallasCowboys

Top Five Cowboys for Fantasy Football in 2022
1. WR CeeDee Lamb No Amari Cooper or Cedrick Wilson means good things for Lamb in fantasy football. This season, Lamb is projected to receive 20 percent of the Cowboys’ targets and about 130 overall, creating many opportunities to rack up points, He amassed 2,037 receiving yards in his first two seasons. The only Dallas player to record more receiving yards in two seasons was Bob Hayes, who…

Chapter 6
An awkward silence befalls the rusty cargo crate as the three young men nervously eye each other, not really knowing how to respond. Eventually, the man with the visor and strange metal apparatus on his arm continues. “I’m going to take your silence as permission to continue. So, for starters, why are you three here? On this ship?” Another awkward silence stretches on for a few moments, as the three of them struggle to come up with a concise response. The man sighs. “Are you from the Aether Foundation?” Taral vaguely recognizes that name, but the other two just give him a confused look. “......Macro Cosmos? Silph Co.?” The three of them blink at the man, not even registering what he’s talking about at this point. He gives an exasperated sigh, before struggling out the word “......Poketch?” He barely manages to hold back a laugh at the mere implication that Poketch would hire anyone to spy on Team Cypher, nonetheless a bunch of kids that look like they should still be in college. “If you’re gonna bombard us with random questions it would probably help if you started making sense.”, Cedrick says, clearly not taking this situation too seriously. Wyatt glares at him, worrying his poorly-timed humor will cause problems. “Well, to answer your question, we’re hiding here to get a free ride to another continent, so we can actually do something with our lives.” The man thinks for a moment. (Stowaways, huh? That’s even better.) “Do you have a specific region in mind?”, he asks. “Uh, no. Not really. Our plan was to try and sneak off at the first place the boat stopped at.” The strange man thinks for a moment, pondering his options. “........ok, that actually complicates things a bit.” “Complicates what?”, Taral asks, nervously.  The man sighs as he eyes the three of them. “Well, I was hoping I could entice you all to cooperate with the prospect of classified knowledge, but…..” He pulls out his pokegear, swiftly taking a picture of the three of them. “So, you’re going to cooperate with me. If you don't, I'm going to get the captain to throw you all overboard.” He points over to the strange infected pokemon in the crate with them. “Here in about 8 days, this boat is scheduled to stop at an uncharted island to unload these Shadow Pokemon for testing.” He turns to the nearby side wall of the crate, running his finger along its rusted surface. “That exchange isn’t going to happen. You three are going to steal the cargo for me, and hide it here, until I give you further orders.” “And how do you expect us to do that, exactly?”, Wyatt asks. “I’ll send a notification to your Pokegear with instructions when the time is right. For now, try and memorize the map of the boat I sent you. You won’t have time to refer to it when I call upon you to spring into action. I don’t have an exact estimate on when you can expect a message, but it will definitely be within the next 5-6 days or so, probably sooner.”, the strange man says. “......and what will we be doing? If it’s so complicated that we need to memorize the layout of this ship to do it, then getting these orders in advance would be really helpful.”, Taral says. “The map is mostly to make things easier, so you can get to where you need to get to and do what you need to do as quickly as possible. The window of time will undoubtedly be pretty small. As for the specifics, you’ll be looking for some black containers made of carbon steel shaped like a briefcase. There should be five of them. You need to open them up, which I promise you, they will be unlocked, when the time comes, and steal the pokeballs out of them. There should be ten in total, two in each briefcase. Take them out of the containers, and put the containers back where you found them. Simple as that. You’ll have about 3 minutes or so to accomplish this. Shouldn’t be an issue between the three of you, so long as you’re fast.” “So, why don’t we go and do that, like, tonight, when everyone’s asleep or something?”, Cedrick asks. “Because they’ll notice that the balls are missing if we do it now. This will only work if we wait until the other grunts are taken off-guard.” “.....and how do you know when, or even if, that opportunity will present itself?”, Taral asks. For the first time, the man smiles. “Because in order to get to the island, we’ll have to go through a storm. A very strange storm. It’ll look like we’re going through a massive thundercloud made of a million colors. You’ll know it when it happens. Now, this is to be expected. Both the other grunts and the captain are well aware that going through this storm is necessary. What they aren’t expecting to happen is for the ship to be attacked while it’s going through. That’ll be your window to snag those pokeballs.” “....and how are we supposed to do that if we’re getting torn to pieces by some wild pokemon?”, Cedrick asks. “Well, they’re not really pokemon, but that’s besides the point. Don’t worry, the creatures won’t attack you, so long as you leave them be. It’s not you they’re after.” “Gee. That sure makes me feel better about the whole situation.”, Cedrick says, in a sarcastic tone. “Well, it’s either that or get thrown off-board into the open ocean, so that’s a chance you’ll just have to take.” The man turns to leave, reaching for the door. “What should we do with these ‘Shadow Pokemon’ after we take them?”, Taral asks. “Train them. Show them to the authorities. Do whatever you want. You could probably make a lot of money selling them to a Megacorp.” Taral looks over at the sick pokemon in the cage. “Do you know what it would take to heal them?” “Well, I can assure you a trip to the pokecenter won’t cut it. If you want to purify them, you’ll have to LINK with them, and purge the corrupted Essence from their souls. Right now, the doors to their hearts are closed shut. They no longer understand the concepts of trust and companionship. If you want to return them to normal, then you’ll have to remind them.” With that, the strange man leaves the crate, closing the door behind him. Taral looks at the other two. “We’re not selling them.” Wyatt reaches through the cage and tries to pet the Plusle, who merely flinches and recedes further into the cage. “Don’t worry. Wouldn’t even consider it.”

Could the 12 Personnel Benefit the Cowboys Offense Next Season?
Could the 12 Personnel Benefit the Cowboys Offense Next Season?
We can all hope Dalton Schultz will be around even if he does not sign a deal by Friday, but we know he is the TE1 on the Cowboys roster next year. The Cowboys lost Amari Cooper and Cedrick Wilson, we all know that. With the 12 personnel, you can feature a nice mix of runs and pass while doing them effectively. That might be something Dallas could feature next season some more to help maintain…

Dak Prescott Has Total Faith In CeeDee Lamb
Dak Prescott Has Total Faith In CeeDee Lamb
CeeDee Lamb was one of few wideouts left standing for the Dallas Cowboys after an eventful offseason. One that saw the team trade away their number one wideout, Amari Cooper. They also lost Cedrick Wilson to free agency and re-signed Michael Gallup to a large five-year contract. Oh, and James Washington was signed to give them a little more help. The only player that didn’t really see a major…

Cowboys WR depth chart: Michael Gallup, Cedrick Wilson in for increased roles on Thanksgiving
Cowboys WR depth chart: Michael Gallup, Cedrick Wilson in for increased roles on Thanksgiving
The Cowboys have one of the better receiving corps in the NFL. Their depth will be tested on Thanksgiving Day. Amari Cooper will miss his second game as a result of a positive COVID test. That will knock out one of the Cowboys’ top two receivers. Meanwhile, CeeDee Lamb is dealing with a concussion. He was limited in practice on Wednesday, but he wasn’t cleared by an independent neurologist to get…

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Dallas Cowboys were without their top two receivers for Thursday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders with CeeDee Lamb unavailable because of a concussion sustained Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Coach Mike McCarthy expressed optimism earlier this week that Lamb would play against the Raiders before the receiver went through a limited part of Wednesday's practice. He met with team doctors and an independent neurologist after the workout, and sources said he cleared the protocol. However, Lamb could be susceptible to a second concussion in a short amount of time, which could have knocked him out multiple weeks.
The Cowboys already knew they would be without Amari Cooper, who is on the reserve/COVID-19 list, for a second straight game.
EDITOR'S PICKS
Welcome to Thanksgiving in the NFL: Everything you need to know about the history, records, moments and more2dTodd Archer and Eric Woodyard Thanksgiving NFL game guide: Score picks, bold predictions, fantasy tips, key stats and more2dESPN Staff Lamb, who leads the Cowboys in receptions (50), yards (740) and receiving touchdowns (6), was able to go through meetings Monday and picked up his physical activity Tuesday and Wednesday. Quarterback Dak Prescott said Lamb was "great" Wednesday. After going through sessions with Lamb on Tuesday and Wednesday, Prescott did not think there would be any limitations going into the game.
The Cowboys' top receivers going into the game were Michael Gallup, Cedrick Wilson, Noah Brown and Malik Turner.
The Cowboys have erred on the side of caution with their players this season regarding injuries. Left tackle Tyron Smith could have played Sunday against the Chiefs with an ankle injury, but the team opted to give him more rest with a quick turnaround to the Raiders game. He started Thursday. Prescott could have played on Halloween against the Minnesota Vikings despite a calf injury, but he was held out an extra week to avoid a potential long-term issue.
The Cowboys were also without offensive line coach Joe Philbin, who is in the COVID protocol, according to sources. Assistant line coach Jeff Blasko took over his duties. Philbin is the third position coach to miss time because of COVID, joining defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, who missed a preseason game, and running backs coach Skip Peete, who missed the Nov. 7 meeting against the Denver Broncos.
Two of the Cowboys' three strength and conditioning coaches are also in the COVID protocol. Cedric Smith was placed on the list earlier in the week, and Kendall Smith was added to the list Thursday. No other players appear to be affected.
