Announcer: We're in the home stretch and it's anyone's race. Well, let's be honest. Probably not, Cedric, but he has caught up some. Oliver and Natan stay neck and neck. Who's going to reach the end first?

[Lawyer]: Ladies and gentlemen of the advisory, I like to thank you all for coming to Emperor Achilles' final decree. Now before we begin the reading of the will, I must brief you all on the legal proceedings. As stated in the Inheritance Act, section 4, the will goes in order from immediate family to the public. Also worth noting, since this will is considered the final decree from his late Majesty, anything written goes with no appeal or voting. Any questions before we begin the hearing of the will?

[Circe]: It's not a question, but I would like to make a suggestion.

[Adam]: For watcher's sake-

[Lawyer]: Your grace, please let Duchess Circe speak. Go on.

[Crice]: As I was saying, I believe it's in our best interest if we go over who is to ascend to the throne first before anything else.

[Adam]: Have you no shame, Duchess Circe.

[Circe]: Belittle me all you want, Halestein. But, we both know that keeping that keeping the throne open any longer will be disastrous overall. The needs of the empire come first.

[Adam]: Bold words of someone willing to spy on theirs with the right price--

[Leon]: Go on ahead.

[Cedric]: I, too, think it's best to go forth with the suggestion.

[Lawyer]: Since it's a majority rule, I will allow it.

[Adam]: Hmph. Get on with it then.

[Lawyer]: Ahem. "Regarding that to the throne of the Claosteinan Empire I, Emperor Achilles Porter Lebedov, Delare that my successor shall be none other than my only child, Princess Leon Lebedov."

[Leon]: Forgive me, for a moment there I thought--

[Lawyer]: It is as it's said, your highness. All written in ink.

[Adam]: Are you certain? Give me that will, I must read it for myself! Mumbles.

[Cedric]: Well? Is it legit, your grace?

[Circe]: I do believe you should tell us before a fly enters your mouth.

[Leon]: Duke Adam?

[Adam]: This will is, in fact, legit. I know his handwriting anywhere, down to his markings.

[Leon]: Oh my god...

[Circe]: Well, I guess it didn't matter which part of the will should be read first, after all.

[Cedric]: Sister, please-

[Adam]: Regardless, what's done is done. Let me be the first to swear my loyalty to you and you alone, Your Majesty. Long live the empress.

[Circe and Cedric]: Long live the empress!

“Think we can egg a house this year?” Josie and Cedric

Josie shivered in the cool autumn wind rustling the leaves along the path they were strolling along. Glancing towards her, Cedric put an arm around her “cold?” he asked.

“A little,” she leaned into his warmth “the next best thing to being a dragon is having a dragon.”

Raising an eyebrow “you can’t become what you are not.”

Tilting her chin up “I know that now.” It was a childish fantasy she had while growing up. 

“Implying that you wished you were a dragon at some point in your life,” he stopped to give her a curious stare. “Why? You are … perfect the way you are.”

“I’ve told you the story about how a dragon saved my father’s life when he was pregnant with me, right?” She waited for him to nod before she continued “I always hoped that one day I could be like that, sweeping down in the nick of time and saving someone. Somehow I thought you had to be a dragon to be a hero.”

“Ah,” he nodded as if he had discovered some hidden gem. “You are a hero to the kids you help,” his arm squeezed her tight against him. 

Shaking her head “I’m no hero.” She squirmed from his embrace, her cheeks pink from the praise she had received. “What do you want to do for Spooky day?” she asked changing the subject as she often did when it centered around her volunteer work.

Watching her a moment Cedric gave her question considerable thought. He had read about this holiday but had never participated in its customs before. “Do you think we can egg a house this year?” he asked.

Shaking her head laughing, “you make it sound like you’ve been wanting to egg a house for years instead of it being your first time.”

“Well can we?” he asked, watching her with eyes that seldom missed anything.

“It’s rather a mean thing to do,” she knew people did it all the time using the holiday as an excuse to get back at people they didn’t like. 

“I didn’t know that,” Cedric took a couple of steps to stand in front of her. TIlting you chin upwards he saw the clouds in her eyes “if it’s something bad we do not have to do it.”

“I know,” her eyes twinkled beneath her eyelashes “we can egg the barn. I’ve never egged anything before.”

cedric is developing his baking skill rn bc of his overachiever trait (🙄). but, since he was cooking next to his husband bol, cedric wanted to impress him. cedric failed. but! his failure endeared bol. bol is like “my malewife is suffering so bad omg </3 i gotta cheer him up <3” but it kinda looks like he’s making fun of him.

meanwhile bol’s excellent quality garden salad was just born a couple minutes ago and has to watch this exchange like “right in front of my me?”

His character, Cedric, is a bard, something hard to translate in TS4 terms (just like vtm I know I know) and he always appears dancing along in every single nightclub I have. Gina does the same. Every. Single. Time.
