Happy new year, friends! I hope that the year treats you all kindly <3 To celebrate the occassion, I humbly offer you some more pictures of 2019 me wearing Cecil's makeup!! These pictures have me thinking about cosplaying from the Magnus Archives, since I love odd little men with too many eyes and something vaguely unsettling about them :) I'm excited for new cosplay ventures this year!!

The beginnings of my Cecil cosplay! I'll be seeing the WTNV live show later this month, so I absolutely needed a cosplay to wear. I'm genuinely so excited!!!

Everything here I already had in my closet, except for the glasses which I thrifted today. Now I'm going to grab a sweater vest and make some tattoo sleeves, and I'll basically be done, except for any additional accessorizing I decide to do. So hyped for this cosplay, and for the show!

What better way to start off October than a return to Night Vale?? I really enjoyed this show and the opening/‘weather’ by Al! 💜I always feel at home in Night Vale. A good night in Night Vale, indeed. 👁️

patches and stuff that i made (and didn’t!) for my wtnv jacket :3

little project Ive have that’s been in progress for a couple years :3 more details below the cut

glow cloud patch, this is just scrap fleece that i colored with old copic markers and hand sewed :) also tiny animals + beads that i stuck on there with fabric glue. the glitter is this holographic glitter paint that i love? i use it on everything.

(left) void patch is just canvas + paint marker and safety pins. the pin above it is from the attic tour, and the pin on the collar is from the haunting of night vale ^_^ the babydoll parts are earrings but i don’t usually wear earrings like that so i repurposed them

(right) eyeball pin is polymer clay and made by me, angel pin is from ultrainfinite on instagram :) little name tag is a repurposed gift card that i just painted and glued over :3 the cecil drawing is meant to resemble me a little more than the cecil i typically draw lol.

patch and sheriff badge are from the wtnv merch site, cowboy cat pin is from pinkgabbercat on instagram. the fake flower pins are technically for a different project but this is their home until i’m ready to use them for the other thing. the little eyeball emblems are made from a linocut stamp that i created a few years ago for a different project

patch for the back!! i rlly love how this came out, the dark purple is an old pillowcase and the moon is the same scrap fleece that i used for the glow cloud. my hand sewing ia kinda fuckass but it adds idk. plus glow in the dark stars!

i made the king city patch a while ago but it’s just canvas and paint pen too i think. plus fly pins that i also made!! little desert landscape button is magazine paper scraps. the cactus and house pins are from the tours i mentioned above, and unfortunately i cannot remember where i got the possum patch :( this is the back right panel of the jacket, for the back left panel i wanted to make a dark owl records patch eventually

i hope to have a little something from all the books on here at some point! something for each of the villains too (which u can see i’ve already kinda started with the beagle patch in the very first image)

this project is still super unfinished!! i have a desert bluffs jacket too that is also still in the works, so i’ll maybe post about that soon too!!

I forgot to post over here yesterday because I was busy working on a commission, but I am here now with yesterday's content! I don't have any new art to post at the moment, but I found some old pictures of 2019 me doing a makeup test for Cecil Palmer and I figured that i'd share those! Looking at these old pictures makes me want to find a new outfit for Cecil and get back into him, with different makeup yet again. I just love him so much!!

The jacket was originally bought for prom but not really used there

Also now that I'm looking in the photo I'm realizing I've also put some chains

Also at the school party I had some face painting of a purple 3rd eye, the photo is at school in which I didn't even bother to wear my wig🤣

So funny thing, one of my teachers texted me and asked how I did in the exams

So I told her what university I got into

And her response was something among the lines "Sugar, I remember in the carnival when you had dressed up as a reporter and had a microphone, same as me, and now it will be true! A reporter in the making"

And I think it's kinda hilarious cause I was actually cosplaying Cecil Palmer, I wanted to dress up as the winner of the Tumblr sexyman polls, I didn't thought a reporter career would fit me

And also im not sure if the university is for reporters but what am I supposed to say to her huh
