Engineers who are required to submit CDR reports for migration skill assessment have two options. They can choose to create their own reports, or they can seek the services of numerous businesses that offer CDR report writing. Many engineers who aspire to work as skilled engineers in Australia are required to submit CDR reports.
What Is Good CDR?
A Competency Demonstration Report (CDR) is a critical tool for evaluating an applicant's engineering degrees and work experience. If the report is poorly written, it can significantly decrease an engineer's chances of obtaining a job in Australia. This report review process can make or break an engineer's chance of establishing a permanent lifestyle in Australia.
By learning how to properly prepare a CDR report, engineers can create a high-quality report that reflects their skills, knowledge, and experience accurately. This can increase their chances of achieving their career aspirations in Australia.
Need Of CDR Report Sample For Engineer
As an engineer, preparing a Competency Demonstration Report (CDR) can be a challenging task. Despite having the necessary skills, experience, and knowledge, engineers may struggle with the writing techniques required for the report. To ensure they include all the required information in the proper format, they may need a sample CDR report.
Using a CDR report sample can help engineers understand the report's structure and reduce the risk of rejection by the assessing authority. The sample can guide the engineer in writing their career episodes, summary statements, and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for the migration skill assessment. It can also help avoid errors and produce an error-free CDR report.
Moreover, the sample CDR report can help engineers focus on the essential areas while preparing the report. Since the CDR report is a highly detailed document that requires significant effort, it's advisable to review the report multiple times to ensure compliance with the official guidelines provided by Engineers Australia. A poorly presented CDR report can significantly reduce an engineer's chances of establishing a profession in Australia. Therefore, using a CDR report sample as a reference to produce a quality report is crucial.

Civil Engineering CDR Sample CE 1 Project Name: RE-DEVELOPMENT OF THE RESIDENTIAL BUILDING This project was titled as “RE-DEVELOPMENT OF THE RESIDENTIAL BUILDING”. The engineering activities that the author did during the project are as below: ·The author performed the information gathering of the different construction elements for the design system. ·  The author planned the location of the plant room and developed the layout. ·  The author conducted E&M installation operations in the project. · The author developed the drawing and the calculation for drainage connection, HVAC connection electrical connection for buildings · The author conducted the quality control of material used for the design of the system and installed the component on the project site · The author performed the overall estimated cost of the project and consulted with the client on any changes required Problem & Solutions: Some of the major problems that were encountered by the author during the “RE-DEVELOPMENT OF THE RESIDENTIAL BUILDING” along with their solutions are defined below:- 1.     Problem 1 career episode 1 and its Solution The author found an issue in the design of the system path of the water supply department and drainage system connection. He found out that the drainage system was passing through the water supply system which raised concerns with both the health of the people of the building and regarding the design of the system. To solve the problem, the author examined the calculations and discovered the erroneous dimensional values in the calculation. He altered the path for water supply and drainage connection. Then after, he thoroughly checked the additional parameters of the client's requirements and also changed the erroneous dimension. Then, he calculated the new modified parameters of the layout and redesigned the layout using the modifications. 2.     Problem 2 career episode 1 and its Solution During E&M installation the author found an issue regarding the operational capabilities. He found that for water supply the pipe which was used was shorter and the material bought was defected. To resolve this issue, the author sent back the defected product to the supplier and performed the quality testing of the undefeated products. 3.     Problem 3 career episode 1 and its Solution The author came across another issue during the installation process. He found an issue regarding the smoke extraction system from the kitchen of the building. To solve the issue regarding the smoke, the air duct was also extracted on B3/F which covered air distribution to B4/F.
Civil Engineering CDR Sample CE 2 Project Name: Process Model of Water Treatment Plant This project was titled “Process Model of Water Treatment Plant”. The engineering activities that the author did during the project are as below:
*    The author designed the flowchart required for the design of the water treatment plan. *  The author devised the modern type of grit chamber by considering various parameters. *   The author computed the settling tank area by using a suitable value for the loading surface. *  The author premeditated the rapid sand filters by considering the filtration bed length and filtration rate * The author drafted the appropriate settling tank in order to enhance and control the quality of water throughout all the seasons. Problem & Solutions: Some of the major problems that were encountered by the author during the “Process Optimization of Welding On The Basis Of Friction Stir” along with their solutions are defined below:-
1.  Problem 1 career episode 2 and its Solution During the design process of the grit chamber, the author came up across the problem of finding the precise and correct dimensions of the grit chamber. This created hindrance in the treatment of the water plant and also considerably damaged the pumps and other devices in the chamber. After consultation and research, the author came up with the solution to revalue and carefully study each peripheral. Author remodeled the detention model to 1 minute. Likewise, the author also found that to meet the requirements during the rainy season; the discharged should be maximized three times more than the usual discharge. 2.  Problem 2 career episode 2 and its Solution The Author encountered that in the rainy season there would be more production of the sludge and the availability of storage was found to be inadequate. To handle the production of sludge, the Author came up with various remodeled parameters to design the filter. Henceforth, by taking into consideration like the volume of digester required, total sludge produce, etc. the Author increased the availability of storage space and handled the production of sludge even in heavy rainfall and another climatic context. 3. Problem 3 career episode 2 and its Solution One of the major issues that the Author came across while operating the treatment plan was the problem due to tension in the chains. The author found out that the spring-loaded arm chain tensioner in the tank didn’t provide a good amount of proper tension. Because of this, the contact between the chain and sprocket teeth were not found to be prominent. After some interval of time, the chain hopped caused the loading of the sprocket teeth and chain links in an extensive manner. Because of the extensive load, the wear and tear of the sprocket and chain slowly followed. As a solution Author found that Snap Idle Tensioner can be used in order to maintain the wear and tear of the chain and the device snap idle tensioner was easy to install and had no moving or mounting parts. Likewise, I also found that it can be easily retrofitted in accordance with the system and used it in order to reduce downtime and maintenance and chain wear.
Civil Engineering CDR Sample CE 3 Project Name: MULTI-STORIED BUILDING ANALYSIS This project was titled as “MULTI-STORIED BUILDING ANALYSIS”. The engineering activities that the author did during the project are as below:
*  To study and review the different simulation tools like STAAD pro, ANALYSIS, and AutoCAD for analysis purposes. * To choose the site location on which the analysis is to be done based on different constraints like building lines and orientation. * To calculate and analyze the various load types on the structural frame-like wind, dead load, live loads, etc. *  To perform the beam design, slab design, and column positioning. * To perform the footing design, staircase design and perform analysis and calculation using STAAD pro simulation software. * To develop the entire structure of the building based on bending moment, loading, structural diagram.
Problem & Solutions: Some of the major problems that were encountered by the author during the “Steam Turbine Control Oil System” along with their solutions are defined below:- 1.  Problem 1 career episode 3 and Solution As the Author used STAAD pro for the analysis of the designed model structure. The structure was found less strong as per the requirement that was a major issue for the project implementation. The Author after consulting with the team member examined the tools and function which was used in the analysis process. The cause of the issue was due to the area of the steel used during the development and its characteristics. Since the characteristics of the steel cannot be changed, the issue was because of the area of the steel, which was less than required. 2.  Problem 2 career episode 3 and Solution During the calculation, the Author found that punching stress was more than the permissible stress, which made the footing design ineffective. After consultation with the project supervisor, the Author checked all the calculations of footing design. The Author also got knowledge regarding the solution that can be taken to solve the issue. Increasing the thickness of the slab can solve this issue, but this solution would cause a change in the entire design of the building, and this will also change all the constraints that the STAAD pro use for the analysis of the design. After detail research and consulting with the supervisor, the Author decided to change the square footing size by increasing it. The size of square footing was chosen in such a way that other parameters do not change the designed system that solved the problem raised.
