Did you hear about that group under Lapone Girls? New Girl is Coming or something?
I (Mod Rise) did see some posts on Instagram about it. Super excited that Lapone picked up Tanaka Yuki and Aita Rin - I felt those two were super overlooked during PD 101 JP the Girls.
Sakaguchi Rino was a bit of a surprise. I thought she had gone back to CDL, but Lapone seems to be a good fit for her too! So I'm excited to see what she brings as a vocalist. Lastly, not gonna lie I feel indirect vindication for Kemotsu Nano being announced in the line-up. That slander campaign against her during the show was awful to watch, and really is what (I think) did her in. Through no fault of her own. Doesn't seem to be a lot of info out yet, but curious to see when and where they'll pop up (and if they're still recruiting more members...).

SCS Software is now trying to sell you more than just videogames
Recently, SCS Software announced that they were going to start putting CDL recruiting advertisements into their trucking simulators, American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2.
I don't think I can stress enough how dystopian this shit is.
Tumblr media
And I've heard buzz that at one point they've toyed with the idea of injecting outside advertisements from other companies into their games.

FleetDrive 360’s Enterprise Solution: Revolutionize Your Compliance Management
In today’s fast-paced world of transportation and logistics, staying compliant with regulations is not only crucial but also a challenging task, especially for larger fleets. The ever-changing landscape of compliance requirements demands an efficient and effective solution that can simplify the process. Enter FleetDrive 360, a cloud-based compliance software provider, whose Enterprise solution is revolutionizing the way businesses manage driver qualifications and compliance.
Beck’s Chooses FleetDrive 360’s Enterprise Solution
Based in Atlanta, Indiana, Beck’s, a leading retail seed company, recently adopted FleetDrive 360’s Enterprise version to address its compliance needs. Before implementing this comprehensive solution, Beck’s faced significant challenges in managing driver profiles, monitoring CDL and medical certification expirations, and ensuring compliance. Caleb Pilkington, a safety associate at Beck’s, highlights how FleetDrive 360 transformed their compliance management, saying, “Now, with digital documentation, the system sends automated emails to 30 to 50 drivers each week when their licenses and physicals are going to expire. With FleetDrive 360, we’re saving as many as ten hours weekly not managing files and compliance on paper.”
Tailored Solutions for Enterprise Needs
FleetDrive 360’s Enterprise solution is designed specifically for larger fleets, like Beck’s, and offers a wide range of features to streamline compliance management:
Efficient Onboarding: The platform simplifies driver onboarding with an automated qualification process that digitizes driver documents and conducts various pre-employment screenings, including background checks and record checks.
Integration Capabilities: FleetDrive 360 seamlessly integrates with popular ELDs, allowing for the import of safety and Hours-of-Service data and other vital information.
Consortium Management: The platform provides a centralized dashboard for controlling the entire drug and alcohol random testing process, eliminating third-party expenses.
Customizable Recruiting Portal: FleetDrive 360 offers a branded recruiting portal that can be used across any platform or company website, enabling drivers to apply and initiate the hiring process.
Branding and Messaging: The solution allows for company-specific branding and messaging for documents, emails, notifications, and custom content.
Personalized Compliance Management
One of the key reasons Beck’s chose FleetDrive 360 was its flexibility and willingness to customize the platform to meet specific documentation and driver profile data needs. This customization allowed Beck’s to organize information in a way that suits their operations best. The implementation process was seamless, and the user-friendly interface made it easy for Beck’s team to adapt to the new system.
Caleb Pilkington from Beck’s emphasizes how FleetDrive 360 has empowered their compliance efforts, stating, “Today, their continued willingness to help us means we can focus on compliance and management issues that may have been on the back burner because we didn’t have time to address them.”
Measurable Time and Cost Savings
With FleetDrive 360’s Enterprise solution, larger operations have access to a tailor-made compliance platform that streamlines the entire process. Beck’s is already reaping the benefits, with measurable time savings and enhanced driver recordkeeping. By adopting this innovative fleet compliance software, businesses can ensure they stay compliant without the hassle of manual paperwork and complex recordkeeping.
Conclusion
FleetDrive 360’s Enterprise solution is a game-changer for companies like Beck’s, offering a comprehensive and customizable platform that simplifies compliance management. With features designed to meet the unique needs of larger fleets, this cloud-based solution not only saves time but also ensures accuracy and efficiency in driver qualification and compliance processes. As Beck’s has experienced firsthand, adopting FleetDrive 360’s Enterprise solution can lead to significant time and cost savings, allowing businesses to focus on what matters most: their operations and growth. Don’t let compliance be a burden; choose FleetDrive 360 and streamline your enterprise’s compliance needs today with this innovative fleet compliance software.

Immigration to Canada as a Truck Driver: A Simple Guide
Tumblr media
Canada, with its vast landscapes and thriving economy, is an appealing destination for many looking to build a better future. For truck drivers seeking new opportunities, Canada offers a pathway to a stable career and a high quality of life. In this guide, we'll walk you through the basics of Canada Immigration as a truck driver, keeping things simple and easy to understand.
Understanding the Basics
Before diving into the immigration process, it's essential to understand the basic requirements and options available to truck drivers looking to move to Canada.
1. Eligibility Criteria: To qualify as a truck driver for immigration purposes, you typically need to meet certain criteria, including having a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or its equivalent from your home country. You should also have experience in driving heavy trucks or tractor-trailers.
2. Job Demand: Canada has a high demand for truck drivers, especially in industries such as logistics, transportation, and construction. Having experience in these sectors can enhance your chances of finding employment in Canada.
3. Immigration Programs: There are several immigration programs through which truck drivers can immigrate to Canada. The most common ones include the Express Entry system, Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs), and the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP).
Express Entry System: This system is a point-based immigration system that assesses candidates based on factors like age, education, work experience, and language proficiency. Truck drivers may qualify under the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) or the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) if they have previous work experience in Canada.
Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs): Many provinces in Canada have their own immigration programs designed to meet their specific labor market needs. Some provinces offer pathways for truck drivers to immigrate directly through their PNPs, provided they meet certain criteria and have a job offer from an employer in that province.
Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP): If you have a job offer from a Canadian employer, you may be eligible to come to Canada temporarily under the TFWP. This program allows employers to hire foreign workers to fill temporary labor shortages in Canada.
Language Requirements: Proficiency in English or French is crucial for truck drivers working in Canada. Most immigration programs require candidates to take a language test, such as the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or the Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP).
Financial Considerations: Moving to a new country involves financial planning. You'll need to consider expenses such as visa application fees, travel costs, accommodation, and initial living expenses until you start earning in Canada.
Seeking Employment
Before applying for immigration, it's advisable to secure a job offer from a Canadian employer. Many trucking companies in Canada actively recruit foreign workers to fill their staffing needs. You can search for job openings online, reach out to recruitment agencies, or attend job fairs and trade shows to network with potential employers.
When applying for jobs, make sure your resume highlights your relevant experience, skills, and qualifications as a truck driver. Be prepared for interviews, which may be conducted via phone or video call if you're still residing in your home country.
The Immigration Process
Once you have a job offer and meet the eligibility criteria for an immigration program, you can begin the application process. Depending on the program you're applying through, the process may vary slightly, but generally, it involves the following steps:
Create an Online Profile: For programs like Express Entry, you'll need to create an online profile and provide information about your skills, work experience, education, language proficiency, and other relevant details.
Submit Documents: You'll be required to submit supporting documents, such as educational credentials, work experience letters, language test results, and proof of funds (if applicable).
Receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA): If you meet the eligibility criteria and have enough points (for Express Entry), you may receive an ITA to apply for permanent residency.
Complete Medical and Security Checks: As part of the application process, you'll need to undergo medical examinations and provide police clearance certificates to prove that you don't pose a security risk.
Receive Permanent Residency: Once your application is approved, you'll receive your permanent resident visa, allowing you to live and work in Canada indefinitely.
Settling in Canada
Moving to a new country can be both exciting and challenging. Once you arrive in Canada, there are several things you'll need to take care of to settle in smoothly:
Find Accommodation: Whether you choose to rent or buy, finding suitable accommodation is a top priority. You can search for rental listings online or work with a real estate agent to find a place that meets your needs.
Get Health Insurance: Canada has a publicly funded healthcare system, but it's essential to apply for provincial health insurance as soon as you arrive to ensure you're covered for medical services.
Apply for Social Insurance Number (SIN): You'll need a SIN to work and access government benefits and services in Canada. You can apply for a SIN at a Service Canada office by providing the required documents.
Explore Your New Home: Take the time to explore your new surroundings, get to know your neighborhood, and familiarize yourself with local amenities, such as schools, hospitals, and public transportation.
Final Thoughts
Immigrating to Canada as a truck driver offers numerous opportunities for a better future and a high standard of living. By understanding the Canada Immigration process, securing a job offer, and planning your move effectively, you can embark on a new journey towards success and prosperity in the Great White North.

Okay, veering off topic a bit in response to the tags (and because - the economy) but in the US many blood centers train (paid training) their own in-house vampires (phlebotomists) and don’t necessarily require previous medical experience to be hired. They want a HS diploma and a driver’s license. HR will usually look for experience in customer service of some sort. I knew one HR recruiter who said she loved to hire teachers.
The big thing that can tip the scales is having a CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) because then you can drive the buses as well as take donations. Depending on the center, this may also pay more. A really good place will help with the CDL training and expense if you get hired and want to earn your CDL.
okay, i've seen this one post going around my dash a few times, and at this point i feel a need to say something about it:
vampires drinking from blood banks is NOT more ethical than drinking from live donors! in fact, it's worse!
most adult humans walking around on the street have a pint or two of blood they can spare with no real consequences for their health. (again, this is not true of everyone, so make sure you ask your donors about any health conditions before you get into it, but you were doing that already, right?)
but the blood in blood banks. the blood in blood banks is for people who need that blood in transfusion form to survive. blood shortages are real, and they kill. if you steal from a blood bank, someone could die for your theft.
the only reason that bagged blood is considered the "softer" option is because you don't have to look the people you're harming in the eyes to do it. coward.

As the industry evolves, new approaches to recruitment and training are also being developed to attract and retain CDL drivers. This makes it an opportune time to pursue a CDL and take advantage of the high demand for drivers.
