CCISD Election Day this May 1st. I hope they don't elect Qanoners to the CCISD school board.
[The Galveston Republican Party] endorsed candidates for the nonpartisan Clear Creek Independent School District school board elections who are ineffective, inexperienced and hold deeply problematic views — the opposite of what we expect from our school leaders. If these candidates are elected, the consequences will be disastrous for our children. This is clear with Christine Parizo, a candidate for District 5. Besides a few superficial commitments, Parizo has no significant educational experience or accomplishments. To compensate, Parizo applied her self-proclaimed skills in “technology, software, and cybersecurity” to create a website filled with misinformation about the school district, a ploy to bolster her campaign by framing the district as dysfunctional. So why is the Republican Party advocating for a homegrown version of Marjorie Taylor Greene to lead your child’s education? Because to them, it was never about your child’s education. The Republican Party wants to bias education to reflect its twisted version of reality. Jeff Larson, another candidate for board of trustees, got a GOP endorsement not because of educational experience (he has none — in fact, his candidate filings show that he’s not even a volunteer for the district) but because of his political experience as part of the Republican Liberty Caucus.

All Roads Lead to Clear Creek ISD
CCISD is a place of learning where everyone can thrive. The teachers in the district are some of the best in the county, and they truly care about children reaching their full potential. The district schedules time out before each school year to host training and development sessions. This ensures that every member of the faculty and staff are more than prepared to educate the children they come in contact with for that current school year. The application process is simple and clear. Interested in becoming a Wildcat? Find out more information on how to become a part of CCISD by clicking the link below.

Bus driver riddle
Bus driver riddle driver#
Riddle said he then got back on the bus, finished his route and then told his supervisor about the incident when he returned to the Bus Barn. The fire was starting to spread due to the wind picking up and likely would have continued to other residences before spreading down a hill, Riddle said.Īfter the fire was extinguished, the homeowner came out and Riddle directed them to turn on their water hose to soak the ground and prevent reignition. Before he extinguished the fire, Riddle said he had the aide pressing on the bus horn and had the mother of the student he had just picked up go knock on the residence door to alert the neighbor. Riddle parked the bus and put the bus aide in charge of watching the children while he took the fire extinguisher out to put out the fire. When he pulled the bus forward, he saw the smoke and the fire in the front yard of a residence on Scott Drive. As a volunteer firefighter in Belton and having been in the military, Riddle said he knew the smell of smoke. Riddle said he had opened the doors to let a young student onto the bus when he smelled smoke. Riddle and other employees in the department are licensed to drive the buses in case of a shortage. Raymond Riddle, who is a mechanic with the CCISD Maintenance Department, was driving bus #96, filling in due to a shortage of bus drivers.
