"I-" Hinata was always hesitant when it came to talking about herself in any subject. "If you don't mind, I would like to talk about it actually."

"I won't mind, so go ahead," Sasuke replied, willing to listen to Hinata, not matter what was bothering her.

Hurt Comfort [Sasuke x Hinata] - Part 2

“You may not feel that way now, but I believe you are a strong kunoichi, and a worthy clan heiress, Hinata” Sasuke replied with some encouragement. “But I can understand how things can be heavy, from the expectations of others and even yourself.”

Sasuke could relate to an extent, he often wondered about his purpose and his legacy, if he was doing the best he can now, he was the last surviving Uchiha in the shadow of what Itachi left before he passed.

“Do not forget, that you have those who can help you, like your sister, and Neji. I believe it’s long past where they used to look down on you, because you have proven yourself, and proven them wrong,” he added. Hinata was not that alone to shoulder the burden on her own, she had family and friends that would gladly support her, including Sasuke himself.

Hinata inhaled and then exhaled softly. "I often wonder about my purpose: Am I strong enough as a shinobi, am I worthy of being an heiress. Those thoughts have been nagging at me for so long." She began.

"At times... I suppose I would call it despair or depression... Maybe even both."
