DESIRE.- s.jy. pt. 4
Tumblr media
- summary; park sunghoon, the famous ice skater. what will happen when one of his best friends decide to hit up his sister? will their secret relationship cause pain in between bonds?
- warnings; sneaking around, nsfw scenes, kys/kms jokes, lying, angst (if u squint), A LOT of kissing, desperate/needy jake.
read under the cut¡! - written + texts part.
JAKE STANDS OUTSIDE OF HIS CAR, patiently waiting for his new so called date to come. he looks all elegant and neat, as if he's going on some high class interview. he can't look shabby in front of a pretty girl though can he? how embarrassing would that be.
"god if sunghoon sees me it's my last day on earth. " he sighs, running a hand through his freshly washed, styled and silky blonde hair.
from where he's posted up, he can see their front door opening. haneul walks out, turning around quickly to probably make sure that sunghoons nowhere in sight. she checks around the street, looking for jake. when she sees him, a smile lights up on her face.
jake takes notice of her smile and waves at her. haneul quickly walks over to him, pardoning the other people on the side walk.
"hi jake!" she flashes him a smile and leans in for a hug. his surprise doesn't last long as her warm figure engulfs him into a hug.
"hey pretty. " he hugs her back tightly. they pulled away from each other and jake shot her another smile.
"you look really nice, jake. " she compliments his attire. he gives her a weak laugh and holds her hand. "you look even nicer. "
haneul holds his hand back, thanking him for the compliment.
"we should go, before sunghoon sees us, hm?" he opens the passenger seat door and she obediently sits in it.
jake gets into the drivers seat and starts driving away. the two sit in silence for most of the ride, until jake puts his hand on her thigh, making her breath hitch in her throat.
he smirked looking straight ahead on the road, knowing what effect he has on her.
"by the way. . where are we going? " she asks turning to face him. he turns around quickly to look at her and says "shopping. we can go to the park later or I can drive you home earlier. " he winks at her and turns back around to the road.
"sounds good! we can go to the park, I don't mind. " she replies with a wide smile, excited to spend time with him.
TIMESKIP.
"f-fuck jake that feels so good! " haneul moans into jake's mouth, his right hand groping her tits through her white shirt like a stress ball.
his cold fingers pinch her nipple, him chuckling into the kiss when she let's out a squeal. "that feel good, pretty? " their kissing getting more messy by the minute. he can feel her hum into the kiss, probably meant as a yes.
before their little rendezvous started, he bought her all the stuff her eyes sparkled at. he's also previously left a unmatched amount of love bites on her neck.. jake really enjoyed her little cute noises as he marked her.
"baby you're so addictive, fuck. " he groans letting her tongue explore his mouth. he can feel his cock harden at the sweet taste of her.
their bodies pressing up against each other, nothing heard except their wet kissing and moaning.
jake feels his pants harden even more at the sensation of kissing her. fuck, he knew about the effect he had on her but she had a even worse one on him.
the two continue kissing, their little romantic moment being seen as never ending. wet sounds are heard as their lips smack against each other for the past twenty minutes... until!
PING!!
they both ignore the sound, too obsessed and engulfed in each other's touch. It's quiet again for a while until the sound can be heard once again.
PING!!
jake groans when haneul pulls away to check her phone, recognising the sound as her iMessage notification.
a sudden wave of paleness washes over her face, jake taking immediate notice. "shit! It's sunghoon. he's asking where I am. " she runs a hand through her hair at the sight of him texting her about her whereabouts.
Tumblr media
"what the hell do I say? " worry can be heard quiet literally lacing her tone. he suddenly whispers into her ear, "definitely don't tell him about the hickeys on your neck. " his seductive voice making her cheeks go red.
she nudges him with her elbow and covers her mouth in embarrassment. "don't worry pretty, just say you're out with a friend. he definitely won't suspect a thing. " he pecks her on the lips to ease her worries.
haneul nods her head as an agreement that that's a good idea and that she probably doesn't have a another way to slither her way out of the tight closed and risky situation.
Tumblr media
"see? told u he'd believe it. now we can go back to what we were doing. " he whispers into her ear and starts kissing along her jawline before hearing her chuckle.
"I'd love to, but I promised sunoo I'd ft him to keep him company. " she gives him a peck on his soft lips before holding his hand.
jake let's out a groan, knowing he's left with blue balls and isn't able to do anything about it except use his hand.
"let me drive you then, hm? " he takes her hand and leads her back to his car, running like a little kid making her giggle and also receive glares from others in the park.
he keeps his hand on her thigh the whole ride, squeezing it every now and then. let's just say they both returned to their homes filled with ecstasy.

A New Life
Part Ten: The Hunt
Pairing: Cillian Murphy x Reader
Words: 3,154
Warning: Smut
After about twenty minutes and you finally managed to get dressed, the doorbell rang and Cillian’s sister arrived to look after the children.
Cillian’s sister was in her early thirties and currently pregnant with her second child. She had kindly offered to look after Max and Cian’s children and, after you had met her already a few weeks ago, you thought that this was a good idea since Max wouldn’t be able to walk the whole 12 km you had planned.
Max was excited to see her and Cillian’s young nephew who, recently, had turned four was going to spend the day with him and the other children.
‘Good to see you again Y/N’ she said, greeting you with a hug and you recalled the last time you had met her at Cillian’s house when him and Cian were making dinner. It was obvious to you that she liked you and, even more so, it was obvious to her that you liked her brother and that this feeling was mutual.
‘Good to see you. How was the drive?’ you asked, knowing that she was travelling from Cork, which is where she lived.
‘Pretty good actually. I went to see mum and dad last night for dinner and stayed there’ she pointed out, looking at Cillian as she did. It was obvious to you that she was teasing him, but you didn’t know what about.
‘I got the message, thanks’ Cillian chuckled and, just as he did, his sister pulled him aside.
***
‘You know what I am about to say’ she said to Cillian in private so that no one else could hear them.
She had been trying to get Cillian to ask you out for two weeks now, but he outright refused.
‘And I told you that I am not interested in dating. Despite, she’s twenty years younger than me’ Cillian pointed out again after having made the age gap between you and him quite an issue.
Of course, his sister didn’t know that you were, in fact, sleeping with each other but, this didn’t change the fact that neither of you were wanting to be romantically involved with anyone right now.
What his sister did, however, know was how you both looked at each and how much Cillian enjoyed your and Max’s company. Unbeknownst to you, she had flagged with Cillian several times before and simply wanted him to be happy.
‘Think about it Cillian, she’s young which means that she probably still wants children. Despite, you wouldn’t be the first actor who dates a younger woman. Apparently, it is quite common’ his sister said, grinning cheekily.
‘You need to stop it’ Cillian chuckled. ‘Did Ma put you up to this?’ he then asked somewhat amused after she begged him during his last visit to Cork to find someone, settle down and give her some more grandchildren.
‘Maybe’ his sister grinned in response before carrying on. ‘She said that, perhaps, you just need a little a bit of help’ she then said, causing Cillian to chuckle again before sighing in disbelieve.
‘Ma thinks I need a little bit of help with finding a woman, eh?’ he asked somewhat amused and his sister nodded with a wide smile.
‘Yes, and I have something in mind to help you along’ she went on to say before dragging Cillian back into the kitchen.
Cillian’s sister was into boardgames and a little nerdy, just like her brother. She had recently started a business and was organising parties and fun activities for children and adults. This, amongst other things, included murder mystery parties and escape rooms and she he had a little surprise prepared for your hike as well with the help from your brother Cian who was about to bail on the adventure.
***
‘Listen up folks! I am trialling out a new little business idea and you will be my test objects. I am sending you all on a scavenger hunt’ she announced with excitement, causing Cillian to cock an eyebrow.
‘Seriously?’ he asked, unimpressed. He was tired enough as it was and didn’t want to spend the entire day looking for cues.
‘I suppose we better form teams then’ Laura said, looking over towards Cillian who was still preoccupied with his second cup of coffee and didn’t notice.
‘I have already set up three teams and each team will get an envelope with separate sets of instructions. At the end, you will all meet at the same place but you will get there via different ways. The first team to arrive will win’ she explained before handing out the envelopes.
‘Well Y/N, it looks like you are stuck with me for the day’ Cillian said as his sister handed him a green coloured envelope with both of your names on it and you couldn’t help but get a little excited about it all.
You would be spending the next five or six hours with Cillian and you were rather happy about that.
Laura, on the other hand, was disappointed that she was paired up with Evelyn while the other couple at the house was paired up with each other.
***
After addressing a few housekeeping matters and putting on your hiking shoes, each team made their way to the nearby reserve which is where you all had to split up.
Cillian and you were headed south and, after a twenty-minute journey, you questioned Cillian’s navigation skills.
‘Are you sure this is the right way?’ you asked, curious as to whether Cillian knew where he was going.
‘Yes, I am sure. Trust me, alright?’ he confirmed and you nodded and agreed to simply follow his lead. You were way too tired to argue with him and, ten minutes later, were glad that you didn’t as, sure enough, you arrived at the trail referenced inside the envelope you were given.
As you arrived at the trail, the crisp air was blissfully quiet and the area almost seemed deserted. You were surprised that it didn’t attract more tourists but Cillian told you that it was simply too early in the day.
The peace and quiet could almost be felt even as the cool morning breeze wafted through the trees and gently stirred the still morning air.
‘I am fairly sure I know where the first cue is’ Cillian then said as you began walking down the trail still rugged up in long pants and jackets and, when you were sure that really no one was around, you took hold of his hand.
You weren’t sure whether you should have done that or whether it was inappropriate since you weren’t dating, but Cillian quickly confirmed with a kiss that it was alright.
‘I actually like the fact that it is just us for the day walking through these woods’ Cillian then chuckled after your lips drifted apart and he didn’t really appear pressed for time.
‘And why is that?’ you asked cheekily and with a big grin on your face.
‘So, I can keep doing this’ he responded before kissing you again, this time more passionately.
By this point, you were less than an hour into your journey and already lost some time simply by stopping and kissing each other but a kiss wasn’t all you wanted.
‘Is kissing all you want to do while we have this time alone together in the woods?’ you asked while suggestively biting your lip and Cillian couldn’t help but laugh.
‘I suppose I am not very competitive and don’t care if we win or lose so, if we find a quiet and secluded area then, by all means, we can do whatever you want’ Cillian said with a wink and you eagerly nodded before pulling him close again.
‘Hmm how cheeky Mr Murphy’ you giggled and, sure enough, about twenty minutes later, you arrived at a rather secluded area which is also where the next cue was hidden.
You bent down to pick up the cue and you could immediately feel Cillian’s eyes on your ass when you did.
By this point, you had removed your jacked and stuffed it into your backpack which caused more of your beautiful skin to be exposed.
‘Are you staring at my ass?’ you asked cheekily before reminding Cillian that he was meant to read the next part of the instructions inside of the envelope.
‘Of course not’ he chuckled in response as he was still trying to catch his breath after having walked uphill for quite some time.
‘Out of breath, are we old man?’ you then teased but Cillian wasn’t amused.
‘Call me that again and you are in trouble’ he said before telling you that he was a little out of shape after having missed last weeks’ PT sessions and, just as he did, you pulled him close for a passionate and long kiss.
With a mischievous look, you leaned into him, took the envelope out of his hand and ran your hand over Cillian’s crotch.
‘It looks like this guy isn't out of shape. To the contrary, he seems to be perfectly healthy’ you smirked before pushing Cillian against the large tree in front of which he was standing.
‘He is very eager and active, that’s for sure’ Cillian laughed just before you began to unbutton and unzip his pants in order to free his hard member.
‘Jesus Y/N’ he then groaned as you began to stroke him gently while keeping an eye out to ensure that no one was watching you.
But your sense for your surroundings soon vanished when Cillian pulled you even closer for yet another passionate kiss.
As the kissing furiously escalated you became soaking wet and needed to feel Cillian’s cock inside you. Breaking contact, you quickly turned around and suggestively leaned forward against one of the large rock formations.
There were no words needed and Cillian quickly grabbed hold of your tights and pushed them down your legs along with your panties.
‘So fucking wet again’ Cillian observed with a husky voice as his fingers brushed against your wet folds, collecting some of your juices and spreading them before he lined himself up with your entrance from behind.
‘Well, I am always aching for you, you should know that by now’ you said, wiggling your ass to encourage him to slide inside you.
Then, all of a sudden, you let out a loud cry as, with one swift thrust, Cillian’s cock smoothly penetrated you and entered your waiting pussy.
‘Shh’ Cillian reminded you as each slow and agonising thrust elicited protests from you to speed up but he ignored them with a smirk and proceeded at a painfully slow pace, making sure your body and pussy felt each deep impact.
Coated by your slick juices, drops of your sweet nectar began to drip from Cillian’s cock with every thrust and you could hear him groan behind you, watching his cock impale on your pussy.
‘You are so fucking sexy in those hiking clothes’ Cillian observed and, hearing your soft but growing moans in response, caused him to increase the force and speed of his thrusts.
‘Oh god Cillian, fuck’ you moaned and, eventually, he leaned forward and gave your ears a playful nibble before taking your hands into his so that your entire body weight was balanced solely by his hands and cock.
As he began to speed up and thrusted into you earnestly with the full length of his cock your assets began shuddering from the forceful pounding.
You loved hearing Cillian’s soft growls and he loved hearing your heated moans as you were fucking like animals in heat and your rough but yet passionate love making had been quickly building up to a climax.
‘Oh god Cillian, cum inside me. I want to feel it, all of it’ you moaned as you became louder and more desperate.
‘Not yet’ Cillian said determined as your lustful moans echoed throughout the forest and no doubt spooked some animals. Instead of continuing his assault on your pussy, he pulled his dripping and erect cock out of your warm wetness, leaving you once again to pout and beg in desperation.
‘Please no…Cillian…fuck…’ you huffed out as you turned around to look at him in confusion.
Your plead for more was met with a grin and then a kiss which was passionate but not as heated as the last.
‘Common, let’s keep going and find another cue first’ he said, pulling up his pants and covering his erection as best as he could after your lips drifted apart.
‘Cillian, I am fucking soaking. I need to cum’ you said, disapproving of his teasing, but he enjoyed it way too much. It was his game.
***
An hour and two cues later, you found yet another perfect love making spot deep inside the forest.
‘This perfect, there is no one around and the area is covered with bushes’ you observed just before your lips met with his, demanding him to take you and make you cum without saying anything else.
Cillian nodded and, without words, you both somehow stumbled over to a flat rock not too far from the marker indicating the direction of the trail.
Covered by dense vegetation, this large, smooth rock seemed perfectly suited as a bench for groups of people. For the two of you, though, it was just the perfect place for other activities...
As you sat down on the rock Cillian bent down and proceeded to give you what you deserved.
‘These will need to come off’ Cillian said, kneeling before you and tugging on your tights.
You quickly undid your hiking shoes and then pushed them off before allowing Cillian to remove yourtights and panties.
‘Let’s hope no one comes down this way, eh?’ he then smirked but you no longer cared and pulled him close, desperate to feel him inside of you once again.
Spreading your legs apart, he leaned above you and took you in fully with his eyes. Your smiling and blushing face, cheeks and pussy reddened with arousal turned Cillian on immensely. Your hard nipples poking through your exercise top, heaving with each breath were a sight he knew he would remember forever. And your shy but warm hands, gripped Cillian’s hand with great trust as your shining eyes encouraged him to take you right then and there.
Cillian unbuttoned and unzipped his pants again, pushing them down together with his briefs before aligning himself with your entrance.
Without hesitation, he took a deep breath and plunged straight into your tight wetness as a whimper escaped your quivering lips. Cillian was pushing in firmly and pulling out in an agonisingly slow manner. This only increased the pleasure and soon your bodies were moving in tandem like a well-oiled fucking machine as grunts and moans filled the air.
Cillian was joyfully fucking you as his cock pounded against your pussy and relentlessly assaulted it as your dueling tongues enticed each other to hotter and deeper kisses.
His thrusts soon fastened but, just as you were about to approach a hastening climax, he slowed down again. Although fucking you senseless was what his body yearned to do as he saw your heaving body under him shining with sweat, his reserves of self-control still held.
Pushing in deeply so that you could feel his warm cock filling you up, he remained in you for a short while before pulling out completely.
As you gazed at him with pleading eyes, he smirked, then leaned in to kiss you before slamming his cock unexpectedly into your waiting pussy starving for more.
Again and again, he followed this process of pushing deep into you, holding it there so you could feel such fullness, before pulling out completely and leaving you yearning crazily for the next thrust.
Taking you to new heights of pleasure with each deep impact, he began to speed up unconsciously as your moans and hot pussy walls rapidly eroded his self-control.
All too soon, he felt the climax approaching inevitably. Even as your bodies were lost in pleasure, however, your ears picked up the murmur of early hikers at the summit not too far from where you were. And yet, Cillian’s cock began to pound you harder and faster with increasing urgency and desperation.
‘Don’t you dare fucking stop now’ you moaned quietly and Cillian certainly couldn’t stop even if he wanted to. Placing both hands on your shoulders, he forcefully pushed down as his hips returned from their swing and thrusted firmly upwards into you. Impaled on his thick and painfully erect shaft, your pussy lips widened, as did your eyes.
‘Oh god yes’ you moaned as your climax was approaching fast and hard and you began to quiver.
With a groan, Cillian reached his high at the same time as you. His cock was exploding deep inside you, filling your waiting pussy with sticky ropes of hot cum. Even as your pussy walls convulsed with pleasure, they were quickly painted white with his swirling cum while trying their best to milk him dry of every drop.
Wrapped in a deep kiss to muffle your moans of pleasure, you could hear the nearby crowd approaching and, at the sound of the cracking of some sticks, Cillian quickly pulled out of you and helped you up from where you were lying.
Seeing your sore and well-used pussy dripping your juices and his thick cum made Cillian inhale sharply before he pulled up his pants.
You were quick to get dressed yourself before anyone would see you and, sure enough, minutes later, the small group pf hikers found your little hiding spot and greeted you.
***
After another few hours following your small detour deeper into the woods in order to get some intimacy, you finally found the last cue which led you to a small local pub.
You weren’t surprised when you learned that you were, indeed, the last team to arrive at your destination.
‘Did you guys get lost or something?’ Cian asked when you both finally sat down at the table and ordered two pints of Guinness.
‘We just took our time. Those cues were tricky’ Cillian chuckled which is when Evelyn informed you that you arrived an entire hour after she did.
‘I had to stop and take some sightseeing photos as well’ you then told her, cheeks blushing red while you were already thinking about how you would be sneaking into Cillian’s bedroom that night.

Repercussions (6)
Masterlist
Pairing: dark!Natasha Romanoff x fem!reader, future dark!WandaNat x fem!reader
Summary: Natasha tries to get you accustomed to your new life, and Wanda has a confession for her best friend.
Warnings: dark themes, slightly sexual content
A/N: currently wishing that Wanda and Nat teaming up to obsess over their girlfriend together had been my plan all along because I’m in love with the concept already! this part’s pretty tame compared to previous ones because it’s more of a filler chapter, but I might post 7 tomorrow to make up for it...anyway, tell me your thoughts!!
Previous part
-
Commotion in the connected bathroom brought you to consciousness the following morning, and you sat up to stretch as your fiery-haired captor walked into the room. Her eyes trailed over your frame shamelessly, a soft smile on her lips as she walked over to drop clothes in the laundry basket on the opposite side of the room.
“Good morning, my love. Feeling rested?”
“Yeah, I guess,” you mumbled as you rubbed your eyes, jumping back when you opened them to the sight of Natasha sitting next to you. “Fuck, you’re quiet.”
“Lots of practice, baby.” She leaned forward to peck your lips, stealing a few more quick kisses before pulling away with a grin. “I’ll make some breakfast while you get ready.”
“Ready for what? I’m not exactly allowed to leave.”
“There’s nothing out there for you!” she snapped, taking a deep breath and bringing her smile back to the surface. “I wanted to give you a proper tour of our home today, one that you could remember anyway.”
You got up and grabbed some things for the shower, deciding that it was far too early to fight with someone who had the upper hand anyway. Of course you took your time anyway, moving so slowly with showering, moisturizing and dressing that Natasha returned to the room to look for you.
“Food’s getting cold,” she huffed, arms folded across her chest as she stood in the doorway.
“Thought you couldn’t cook anyway.”
“I’ve been learning from Wanda.”
As soon as you stood up from putting on socks, she grabbed your wrist roughly and pulled you behind her on her way back to the kitchen. She then pulled out your chair and pushed you into it, taking a seat across from you and digging into her meal. The pancakes and eggs on your plate seemed surprisingly edible, and the two of you ate in silence until your plates were cleared. After washing the dishes, Natasha took hold of your hand, lacing her fingers between yours as she pulled you to your feet once more.
“I don’t want you to get bored, so you have access to every room except the bedroom at the end of the hall. I locked it so you wouldn’t be tempted to wander in there,” she told you with a wink as she led you away from the kitchen.
She showed you the spacious backyard, pointing out the different swings attached to the huge trees and the jacuzzi that was covered but ready for use. She also implied that you’d be in trouble if you were to step foot in the garage again, especially to try and escape. She trusted you enough to leave the keys on display, and wouldn’t hesitate to put you in your place if you made any moves.
She showed you a few more bedrooms (one that held whatever clothing she’d moved from the tower), and another bathroom before leading you to the main level again. There you found a third bathroom, one more bedroom, a dining room with a much bigger table and a living room with a huge television.
There was another television in the basement, even bigger than the one in the living room, and a room marked “Security” that was also off limits to you. Around another corner is where you found a gaming area. You sat on the pool table and looked around at the arcade machines and video games that were in various areas of the room. You were so lost in admiring everything that you didn’t realize Natasha was speaking to you until her hands were on your thighs, spreading them apart enough for her to step between them.
“You didn’t hear a word I said, did you?” Her tone was playful, and you felt yourself physically relaxing as her fingers ran back and forth between your hips and knees.
“No, sorry. I’ve never seen so many games in one house.”
“Well, they’re all yours now, printsessa. Really, you can have anything you want...” Her voice seemed to deepen as one of her hands landed on your lower back, her forehead leaning against yours to give you a perfect view of her eyes as they darkened with lust. “All you have to do is ask.”
Her free hand joined the other as she kissed you, pulling you closer to the edge of the pool table as she worked her tongue into your mouth. Your legs wrapped around her waist as you got lost in the feeling, breathing a little heavier as her lips separated from yours to ghost over your neck, nibbling here and there until she found a spot that made your back arch in her hold. After teasing you until you were grinding impatiently against her, she pushed you back onto the table and started unbuttoning your jeans just as someone cleared their throat.
Natasha pulled back slightly and the two of you turned your head to see Wanda in the doorway, eyes wide and cheeks flushed. You quickly sat up as Wanda walked into the room.
“I’m uh, so sorry to burst in like this, Tash. Clint is here and I also need to talk to you when he’s gone.”
“Alright, I’ll be back.”
She sighed in frustration as she forced herself to leave you while she ran upstairs, and you found yourself looking at the seemingly nervous witch while she avoided your eyes. You weren’t sure if it was the fact that she held control over your mind for a week (or possibly more), but you felt surprisingly at ease in her presence, which only made you more curious about her.
“You’re not using your powers on me right now, are you?” Your question broke the silence and caused her to finally make eye contact with you, her gaze significantly less red than the first time but still nice.
“No, of course not. Why do you ask?”
“I don’t know. I just feel weirdly peaceful around you, and I thought maybe you were doing something.”
She shook her head as her polite smile turned into a grin, and she seemed to just muster up the courage to say more to you when Natasha came downstairs again.
“Okay, Clint’s gone,” she told Wanda as she approached you again, leaving a gentle kiss on your lips and cheek. “Go play a game while we talk in the other room, baby.”
Natasha watched you jump down from the pool table obediently and head over to the nearest arcade machine, an adoring smile on her lips the entire time. She then turned to Wanda and nodded at the couch in front of the television, following her over there and sitting next to her.
“What’s going on? You seem shaky.”
“I think I should stop helping you,” Wanda told her, shrinking back a bit when Natasha frowned.
“What, you got cold feet or something?”
“No, I just have a problem and I don’t want it to get worse.” She sighed heavily, mentally reminding herself to stay calm. “I think I’m falling in love with Y/N just as quickly as you are. She’s been in my head since the night I went with you to her apartment and I thought maybe it was just physical attraction but… Honestly, I’d kill anyone if it meant being able to have her the way that you do, and I don’t think it’s fair of me to stick around when I feel this way.”
Natasha was silent for a few moments with a neutral expression, and Wanda didn’t dare listen to her thoughts in fear of hearing something she’d hate. Finally her best friend turned to her with a playful smirk.
“Well, as long as my printsessa agrees, I don’t see why we can’t share her.”
Wanda felt her muscles releasing every bit of anxiety-induced tension they held, and a timid smile appeared on her own features.
“Are you sure, though? If this isn’t something you want, I have no problem just--”
“It’s fine,” she chuckled as she grabbed Wanda’s hand to stop her from rambling. “It’s new for me, but I’m willing to try it out. Maybe our baby will listen better to both of us.”
“Our baby...I love the sound of that.”
“I do too.” She squeezed her hand with a suddenly mischievous grin as she came to a realization. “Since you’ll be joining us, I have something to show you.”

Third Wheeling
warnings: again minor injury
era: June 2021
❀ Teaching Hendery how to skate (and trying to get closer to him) doesn’t quite give the results one was hoping for
Tumblr media
“Seeing you fall on your face was pretty amusing, not gonna lie.” Yangyang smirked avoiding JiHo’s eye contact, but soon enough he received a hard slap against his arm. He laughed, holding arm where the stinging remained and looked at JiHo again. “You said you were good.” “I am! It’s not my fault you bumped into me while I was perfectly skating past that bush.” JiHo defended herself, making sure to put emphasis on ‘perfectly’ to prove her competence. “Sure~ Go ahead and put the blame on me.” Yangyang grinned, having the time of his life while teasing JiHo.
A quiet knock sounded from Yangyang’s bedroom door, followed by the door being pushed open. From one side of the doorframe a familiar face came into view. “I hope I’m not interrupting anything.” Hendery carefully said, a bashful smile on his face. “Not at all.” JiHo jumped up from Yangyang’s bed, secured her new skateboard – she had to thank Yangyang and Ten for that one – under one arm and walked up to Hendery. “I was starting to think you weren’t going to show up.” She looked the boy straight in the eyes. Did she not notice how close she was? Or was Hendery just being overly aware of his surroundings? “And that boy was really starting to get on my nerves.” She squinted at Yangyang, but couldn’t help but mirror the smile that he was also sporting. “Let’s go?” She eyed the two boys. “Yup, you can go put your shoes on already.” Yangyang told JiHo who complied and left the room.
Walking up to Hendery, who seemed like he was in a completely other world right now, Yangyang patted the boy’s shoulder seeming to bring him back to reality. “Looked like you just saw a ghost.” Yangyang commented, but then his expression turned into something a bit more mischievous. “Or was it more like an angel? Hmm?” The younger boy winked before leaving the room to follow JiHo, not without missing the flustered look on Hendery’s face.
After Yangyang had picked up his hobby for skateboarding again through the video he shot for the WayV channel, JiHo quickly joined him. She had done so many types of skating when she was younger. Skateboarding may not have been het best form of skating, but she still enjoyed it nonetheless. So when she talked with Yangyang about it, they made a habit to go out and skate for a few hours every day – more like night – that they could.
Not only was it a great way to better their skills and wind down from long days of practise, recordings and other schedules, but it was also a great opportunity to hang out and strengthen their friendship. Something about being the two Europeans and sharing similar hobbies and interest, the both agreed it was only necessary for them to be close.
Well, after a few nights of skating together and Hendery coming up in one of their seemingly endless conversations, JiHo asked if Yangyang would be okay with inviting his groupmate to one of their skating sessions. Of course Yangyang had teased JiHo about it, because Hendery and JiHo hadn’t really hung out lately and despite their efforts to get closer a few months back, it felt like they were back to square one. Strangers again. “Then it’s a great idea, Hendery and I will stop being awkward in no time once we start hanging out again.” JiHo explained, trying her best not to get tipped off by Yangyang’s continuous teasing. “He can’t even skate. At least I don’t think so.” “Maybe he’s willing to learn. Just ask him.” JiHo said in almost a pleading tone and Yangyang finally agreed. “I guess I’ll be third wheeling again.” The comment made JiHo’s eyes widen significantly. “Third wheeling? What are you talking about! If anything I’ll be third wheeling.” JiHo countered defensively. “Whatever makes you sleep at night.”
The walk to their usual skating spot wasn’t too long. Usually they would ask WayV’s manager to bring them to a place near Gangnam River, but after a few times they didn’t want to be too bothersome and decided to choose a spot closer to the dorm. Of course JiHo could drive them to a nicer spot, but then she’d had to ask permission to use her manager’s car and they would end up in the same situation, not wanting to bother a manager.
The two 00 liners didn’t seem to have any problems engaging in conversations. The second they set foot out of the dorm, they had been talking nonstop. It seemed like Hendery had become the third wheel after all. Not that he minded though. His thoughts were somewhere else completely, he didn’t even really notice that he was trailing behind the duo, looking like he was a stranger who coincidentally was going the same place resulting in him walking behind them.
However JiHo had noticed this and she abruptly turned around to face Hendery, who almost bumped into the girl due to her sudden movement. “Wow! Look out there.” JiHo grinned, using her free hand to steady Hendery. “I just noticed you hadn’t said anything since we left, just making sure you’re still there.” She laughed and Yangyang joined her. “Aw JiHo. Always the caring type.” He almost sang earning yet another slap, but this time to his other arm. Ah! You’re going to give me bruises!” “That’s the plan.”
Hendery couldn’t seem to help but just watch the two younger members argue playfully. No words left his mouth as he awkwardly stood there, questioning why he even came in the first place.
Yangyang was right. Hendery couldn’t skate and he never really showed interest in learning. Even if he thought that skateboarding looked cool, the idea of learning to skate never crossed his mind. Yet when Yangyang asked him if he wanted to join him, he said yes. Well, to be more precise, he agreed when Yangyang asked him if he wanted to join him and JiHo. Why did he say yes?
“You’re so annoying.” JiHo exhaled deeply before perking up. “But we’re here, so let’s just have fun now.” Yangyang grabbed the nose of his board before starting to take a few steps away from his friends. “Have fun teaching this guy, I’ll be just going around for a bit.” Before JiHo could protest Yangyang had already taken off, slowly distancing himself further and further from the pair.
Once Yangyang was a good distance away JiHo looked up at Hendery. “Okay, I guess that means I’ll be your teacher today.” She grinned awkwardly earning an as just awkward smile back. “I’ll just teach you the basics so don’t worry, I won’t make you do dangerous tricks or anything.” JiHo placed her board down, instructing Hendery to do the same. “You know? You’re actually pretty lucky.” Hendery met JiHo’s eyes, showing her his confused expression. “Yangyang wouldn’t be as patient or good of a teacher.” A smile broke out on Hendery’s face in complete agreement of JiHo’s words.
A few minutes had already passed, with Hendery getting on his board, a spare one provided by Yangyang, and JiHo helping him move forward. It was definitely awkward with Hendery carefully gripping JiHo’s outstretched arms. Not wanting to hold on too tight scared that it would weird out JiHo, but also not too loose because he didn’t want to fall on his face while struggling to keep his balance. JiHo continued to help him forward trying to get him to find his balance on the board and get used to the feeling, until a soft chuckle left her lips. “W-What’s wrong?”
Hendery wanted to jump in a hole feeling insanely embarrassed. Did his voice really just break in front of JiHo? He wanted to hide his face, which he was sure was bright red already, but he couldn’t let go of JiHo’s hand. He’d definitely fall if he did.
Luckily JiHo didn’t seem to notice, or maybe she was just nice enough not to mention it. Instead she just answered Hendery’s question. “Nothing, it’s just interesting how we’re still this awkward.” She looked up at the boy, a genuine smile gracing her lips. “I mean, you’re the energetic one in WayV besides Yangyang and I usually don’t have any problem with talking to anyone. So what’s different between us?”
Between us? Us? There was such a thing as ‘us’? Hendery’s mind went 100 km an hour trying to come up with an answer, but only other questions start to form. Another chuckle brought him back to reality and his eyes locked with JiHo’s again.
“You don’t talk a lot? That’s pretty hard to believe after the things Yangyang told me about you.” A deep red tint slowly began creeping up on Hendery’s skin. “Or is it just me? Do I scare you? Make you feel uncomfortable-“ “NO!” Hendery suddenly yelled, startling both JiHo and himself. In the attempt to clear up misunderstandings between him and JiHo, he let go of her arms. Unfortunately, the sudden movement made him loose his balance. The skateboard rolled from underneath his feet sending him towards the ground with record speed.
Seeing her colleague going down, JiHo quickly reached out to hold Hendery in the hopes of breaking his fall a bit. However her idea backfired as her grip on him only made it so she was pulled along with him to the ground.
Both her left hand and knee made contact with the ground, causing some painful scrapes across the skin – and unfortunately a rip in one of her favourite jeans. Still, her caring side took over, as she, instead of checking on her own wounds, worried over the boy that just fell on his backside onto the ground, harshly. “Oh my God! Are you okay?”
Her eyes skipped over every part of Hendery’s body, trying to see if he got hurt anywhere. Not noticing any wounds at first glance, JiHo grabbed a hold of Hendery’s hands, inspecting them carefully and seeing the scrapes and cuts that adorned the skin.
“Are you okay?” She asked, the concern dripping of her every syllable. All Hendery could do was nod, his eyes fixed on JiHo’s as she hovered over him. “I’m sorry, I should’ve held on more tightly.” She apologised but Hendery quickly shook his head. He wasn’t sure if his voice was going to betray him this time, but he couldn’t let JiHo feel responsible for the accident. “No it’s okay, it’s my fault. ”JiHo’s eyes finally stopped analysing Hendery’s cuts and looked into his own. “Are you okay though?” He asked slowly.
Hendery could feel his heart beat in his throat, an uncomfortable feeling that felt like it was about to hinder his ability to breathe. Why was he feeling like this?
JiHo just nodded in response, the expression on her face completely unreadable now. Did he make her feel uncomfortable? Why was she looking at him like that? But before Hendery’s mind could go back spiralling into a million questions, he hear the sound of a skateboard approaching.
“Wow! What happened here? I’m not bothering you guys am I?” The teasing tone in Yangyang’s voice was very noticeable, causing JiHo to turn around and scowl at him, albeit not in a serious manner. “Do you need some help getting up?” Yangyang asked, this time his tone wasn’t joking at all after noticing the pained expressions from his two friends.
JiHo however declined and pushed herself up on her own, her wounds on her knee and hands becoming visible to the two boys. “JiHo.” Hendery gasped, but before he could say anything Yangyang rushed to her side. “That looks pretty bad. Are you okay?” JiHo nodded yet her actions showed otherwise.
She could only stumble her way to her own board to grab it in her hands. The two boys looked at her confused. “Let’s go home.” She said silently and the two boys agreed. Yangyang pulled his friend up from where he still sat on the ground, making sure he was okay as well. Besides the stinging on his butt and hands where he had landed and braised himself for the fall, he was okay.
The two quickly walked up to JiHo who still seemed to only be able to stumble, every step looking like it hurt her leg. “I can give you a piggy back ride back to the dorm.” Yangyang offered but JiHo just shook her head. “I can still walk.” “But it looks like it hurts. All I’m saying is, I’m being really nice for once, might as well take advantage of it.” The boy’s words received a roll of JiHo’s eyes and small laugh. “I’ll be fine though.” JiHo said, but Yangyang still felt bad and decided to offer her some support in the form of an arm around her waist.
While walking back to the dorm, Yangyang eyed Hendery for a second, who walked on the other side of the girl, but with way more distance between them. “It’s funny how he was the one on the board, but you got hurt the most. How does that even happen?” Yangyang laughed and JiHo joined him, but a lot more quietly.
Hendery’s eyes fell on the two younger members. “Indeed. How does something like that happen? I wish it didn’t.” He thought to himself, letting his head drop down and keeping his eyes on the ground in front of him for the whole walk back.

Ch 5: Dancing Queen
Rico and Nanaba were out drinking again at a nearby bar while Hange was away. Hange mentioned how she had to grab some things from her goat house, so Rico and Nanaba took it upon themselves to drink some more and talk to the locals.
Rico looked up at the bartender in front of her. She recognized him as one of the men who had helped her and Nanaba earlier. This man was way taller than her, and definitely over 6 feet. He had long, light ash-brown hair styled in a mullet, and he had small, intense golden-brown eyes. It almost gave him a vicious look. This time the man was shirtless and only wore swim trunks. It's a good thing wearing swimwear on/underneath clothing was considered normal on the island.
“Here you go, one cocktail for a beautiful woman like you.” he slides the drink over to Rico and gives her a wink. Rico grabbed the drink and gave the man a flirty smile. Definitely not vicious. He seemed like a nice and flirty guy to her.
Maybe husband number 4? Rico smirks as she drinks her cocktail. Don’t get Rico wrong now. She knows what is out of line when it comes to choosing her future husband. However, a little bit of flirting won’t hurt.
“Thank you…” Rico trailed off. Shoot. She never got the guy’s name.
Jean grabs a wet rag and starts cleaning off the bar “Jean. I’m also one of Sasha’s friends.”
“Ah, I heard of you!” Nanaba yells out suddenly. She looks at Jean with excitement. Nanaba loves learning about the bits and pieces of Sasha’s life. After all, it’s been years since she has last seen her. “Sasha has talked a lot about you! You’re Niccolo’s best man, right? Have you been on the island this whole time?”
Jean nodded “Yes and no. Yes, I am Niccolo’s best man. No, I haven’t stayed on the island the whole time. I actually came back a few months ago to prepare for the wedding. I’ve been busy with college studying for art before coming back. I'm currently staying at the old house that I share with my friend, Marco.”
Jean is a Fine Arts major at the Paris College of Art. He agreed to study in France because of his mom. You see, Jean originally lived in France before moving to Kalokairi to be more independent. He was from Strasbourg, which is about 500 km away from Paris. It’s a long drive, but it is worth it for him to see his mom’s smile every time he visits. Jean also works part-time in the bar in Kalokairi to help pay for his expenses. Jean is lucky his old boss let him work again, or else he would be doomed.
Jean reminisced when he first came back to Kalokairi. He was excited to see Sasha again and for the wedding. Jean views Sasha as a sister he wishes he had, and he was genuinely happy to be a part of her wedding.
Jean smiled at the memory. He was strolling through the island, greeting the locals and familiar faces. In fact, Jean was too busy reminiscing to even hear the sound of running footsteps heading towards him from behind. It was then when Jean’s peace was ruined by Hanami jumping on his back. She loudly proclaims her excitement for them working together for Sasha’s wedding (she is Maid of Honor, and he is the Best Man).
Jean sighed as he finished wiping off the bar. That woman is gonna be the death of him one day.
Nanaba looked up to find Rico studying Jean, who was lost in thought. Oh no. Here comes Husband number 4 already.
She rolls her eyes and looks at Rico's drink. It had a peachy color, decorated with an orange wedge on the rim and a mini umbrella. It looked familiar to her, but she couldn’t put a name to it. The orange slice meant it’s definitely fruity. Ironically enough, Nanaba is not a big fan of fruity drinks. She likes a fruity smell in her perfume though. Nanaba prefers drinking beer or hard alcohol like whiskey.
Nanaba grabs Rico's attention. “Hey Rico, what kind of drink did you get?” She proceeds to drink her beer.
“Sex on the beach,” Rico replies nonchalantly. This causes Nanaba to almost choke on her drink. She began to have a coughing fit.
Rico repeatedly slaps Nanaba’s back until she stops coughing. “Did I say something wrong, Nana? Why did you start coughing?” Rico raised an eyebrow.
Jean, noticing Nanaba’s coughing fit, stops making drinks for other customers, to give Nanaba a napkin. She thanks him, and Jean nods and returns back to his job.
Nanaba wipes her mouth and turns to Rico. “Are you trying to imply something by ordering that specific drink with him? You're staring is not exactly subtle, you know." She quickly darts her eyes to Jean, who was busy doing his job and not eavesdropping on their conversation.
Rico laughs and takes a sip of her drink. “Take your mind out of the gutter, Nana.” Rico smirks “I just wanted to order a drink. That’s all. Unless...maybe I am?" She winks at Nanaba and laughs.
Nanaba rolls her eyes and smiles at Rico. She wasn’t surprised that Rico took the opportunity to mess with her. Nanaba looks over to Jean to make sure he is busy. She places a hand on Rico’s shoulder and looks at her with a serious face.
“Don’t mess with the poor boy, Rico. You’re old enough to be his grandmother,” she says with the most serious tone she could come up with. She takes her hand away and takes another sip of her beer. Rico lightly slaps Nanaba’s shoulder in fake offense and laughs again. Of course, Nanaba would point that out. Rico was ready to make a comeback but stopped as she heard running heading in her direction.
Both women turn around from their seats to see an exhausted and frightened Hange run up to them. Hange’s hair was messier than normal, and her glasses were slightly crooked. One of the straps of Hange’s overalls came loose too. She looked as if she ran a marathon or was practicing for the Olympics.
“Where’s Sasha?” Hange asks as if her life depended on it.
Jean, who noticed Hange's appearance, answers for Rico and Nanaba. “I think she’s at the beach with the other girls.” He goes back to his job but doesn't question Hange’s looks. He doesn't want to die before the wedding.
“What’s up?” Nanaba asks tenderly and reaches up to fix Hange’s glasses. Now that Hange was up close, she noticed how red her eyes were and the tears that were ready to spill.
Hange was overwhelmed with emotions. She has to juggle running the hotel, Sasha’s wedding, and now deal with her past lovers! This was not how she wanted Sasha’s wedding to go. She couldn’t bear the idea of having both sides meet. What would the men think? Heck, what would Sasha think? Hange has been vague about Sasha’s father for years now. Would Sasha hate her for keeping them a secret? She doesn’t even know who Sasha’s actual father is!
Hange felt her dam begin to burst and some snot running down her nose. Hange ignored Nanaba’s question and ran off to the nearest bathroom. She ignores Nanaba and Rico calling out to her. Hange ran into the nearest open stall, closed the door and the toilet seat, and sat down to cry. She didn’t want the whole island to see her at the moment, so crying in the bathroom was the best thing to do. Hange grabs a part of her overalls to blow her nose.
Meanwhile, Nanaba and Rico (who brought her purse and her drink) followed Hange to the bathroom and called out her name. Sadly, there was no reply. She only heard the soft cries coming from the nearest stall. Nanaba runs to the front of the door. Rico closes the bathroom door and sets her stuff down before joining her.
Nanaba knocks on the door and turns to Rico with a worried look on her face. There was no response again except for Hange blowing her nose.
“Talk to her,” Rico whispers to Nanaba. Nanaba nods her head and turns back to the door. She leans towards it and takes a deep breath.
“Hans.'' She starts with Hange’s nickname from college. Nanaba spoke to Hange with a tender and caring tone. “Tell me what’s wrong.”
Nanaba places her ear against the door and waits to hear anything from Hange. She only hears soft whimpers instead. This caused Nanaba to frown. She turns to Rico and moves her hand in a hurry-up motion. She already put some effort into this. Now it's Rico’s turn.
“Oh, right! Uhh…” Rico was unsure about what to do. She hasn’t seen Hange cry like that in years. The last time Rico heard Hange cry like that was after Levi left, and it was over the phone too! She glances at Nanaba who kept encouraging her to go.
Rico was unsure about what to say. She’s not the best at comforting people, but she will at least try. For Hange. “I’ve never seen you with so much sorrow, Hans."
Nanaba turns to Rico in realization and grabs her shoulders "and the wedding is tomorrow!"
"We have to see Hange!" She whispers to Rico.
Rico nods in agreement and takes Nanaba’s hands off of her. "Good plan. You go on all fours on the floor, and I'll stand on your back. You look from the bottom, and I'll look from the top."
Nanaba looked at Rico with disbelief "Are you crazy? It's logical for me to be on the top. I'm the tallest!"
Rico pinched the bridge of her nose, causing her glasses to move up slightly. She sighed while Hange’s crying continued in the background.
"Now is not the time to be comparing heights, Nanaba. Hange is not emotionally stable right now, and she needs us to help. Besides, it's logical for you to be on the bottom. You're heavier than me."
Nanaba wanted to punch Rico for playing the weight card, but she did have a point. She also knows about Rico’s cleaning standards (which aren’t as high as Levi’s, but only Hange knows that), so she won’t go down on the floor unless she has to.
Nanaba sighed. Now was the time for arguing. They needed to focus on Hange and can deal with Rico later.
"Fine." Nanaba moved to go on all fours on the floor. She tilted her head towards her back "Hop on."
Meanwhile, Hange continued to cry into her palms. She was too depressed to even hear what was going on the other side of the door. The memories with all three men kept replaying in her mind nonstop. Hange can recall cuddling on the beach with Erwin. She can picture dancing with Mike underneath the night sky on his yacht. She also remembers the time when Levi kissed her forehead when she pretended she was sleeping one day. Hange continued to cry but stops when she hears a thump on the door.
Hange looks up to find Rico staring down at her and holding on to the door. Now Hange was confused. Rico is too short to look over from the top. Unless…
She let her eyes fall downward to find Nanaba looking at her from the bottom. Both she and Rico had a concerned look on their faces.
"I hate to see you like-” Rico gestures to Hange “-this."
Hange looks up at Rico as she continues on. Hange felt ridiculous. Here she was crying over 3 men on the toilet. She knew she looked like a mess. She needs to get up from the toilet first in case her friends suddenly burst into song.
Nanaba adds onto Rico’s statement, "Hans, you can't deny that you're sad. It's just...We haven't seen you this sad since- ahh!" She and Rico scream as Hange suddenly opens the door.
Hange runs out to the bathroom door and to the nearest sink. Nanaba and Rico quickly stood up and went to either one of Hange’s sides. Rico and Nanaba patted Hange's back to comfort her. They didn't want to force Hange to talk. She can talk when she is ready.
Hange looks at herself in the mirror. She looks and feels like shit. Ironically, it made her think about Levi. What was that nickname Levi would call her besides Four Eyes? Shitty Glasses. Hange looked at herself in the mirror. Now her whole face played the part too. It almost made Hange laugh. Her eyes were red and puffy, and she could see some snot dripping down her nose. Hange wipes it off with a tissue Rico put out in front of her. Hange’s clothes looked disheveled too. She couldn't recognize herself in the mirror.
Nanaba leaned her head on Hange’s shoulder. Hange smiled and put her right hand on Nanaba’s cheek as thanks. Rico leaned on Hange’s other shoulder, and Hange placed her head on top of Rico's.
"You're our best friend, Hange," Nanaba says softly. She uses Hange’s actual name instead of her nickname. That's how Hange knew Nanaba was being serious.
"You can rely on us" Rico replies next with a soft tone as well.
Hange begins to cry again. What did she do to deserve friends like them? They saw Hange rise and fall in life, yet they stayed by her side no matter what.
Nanaba and Rico, who noticed Hange’s waterworks appearing again, turns Hange away from the mirror. They push her up to sit on the sink. Nanaba and Rico sat down on the sink next to Hange after she was situated.
Rico speaks up first after a moment of silence "You’re usually so sure of yourself Hange. Now, look at you. You look so broken." She looks at Hange with concern. "Just know that it's ok to cry. You’ll be up and dancing again once your pain ends" She rubs Hange’s arm and Hange smiles at the gesture.
Nanaba leans towards Hange to fix her overalls, and Hange turns to look at her. "I hope we can patch up whatever is going on, Hange. We just want to see you happy again." Hange smiles at Nanaba’s words.
"That's it!" Rico suddenly says "you just need a little pick me up. That would help cheer you up!" Rico turns to Nanaba. "Help me out her Nanaba."
Both women jump down from the sink. Rico goes to her purse, which was nearby. Nanaba takes off Hange’s glasses and stands ready for whatever Rico has in store.
First, Rico hands Nanaba some tissues to wipe Hange’s tears and snot. Nanaba wipes Hange’s nose until Rico starts throwing one too many tissues at Hange.
Second, Rico grabs a breath spray freshener. Nanaba opens her mouth for Hange to mimic as she takes off the cap. Nanaba sprays it one time, but Hange starts coughing from the spray entering her throat.
Third, Rico grabs some perfume and hands it to Nanaba. Hange was expecting a few sprits of perfume not bathing in the whole bottle! Hange sneezes because of the perfume. Maybe she would smell good enough to be up to Levi’s standards? Hange rolls her eyes at the thought.
Finally, Rico grabs her cocktail for Hange to drink. Nanaba works to redo Hange’s ponytail. Hange reaches over to grab the drink, but Rico moves it out of her reach. Rico places the drink on Hange’s lips and tilts the glass up to a point Hange might as well chug the whole thing. Hange moves her hands up and takes the drink away from her mouth.
"OK! I appreciate the help, you guys!" Hange cries out. She sniffs and wipes her nose with her arm. She might as well confess and get straight to the point
"It's her dad," Hange confesses.
Nanaba and Rico were confused. "Who's dad?" Rico asks.
Hange looks at Rico with a serious face. "Sasha’s dad" she clarifies
Hange stares at her friend’s faces but was met with silence. She decided to continue with her story.
"Remember how I told you it's Levi, the supposed mystery guy who is actually a millionaire? The man who left to get married."
Nanaba and Rico nodded to show they are following Hange’s story.
"Well, there were two other guys. Around the same time. You already met one of them before."
Hange looks up at Nanaba. Although Nanaba was looking at the floor, Hange could see the gears turning in her head and the puzzle pieces fitting together. Nanaba realized who she was talking about and how he and Hange did more than just ‘go on nightly boat rides.’
"The man who accidentally ran into you that day...the boat rides...” She looks up to meet Hange’s eyes. “One of them is Mike. Isn't it?"
Hange nods and looks away in shame. She didn't want to see Nanaba’s reaction. Hange suspected Nanaba had a crush on the guy, but she noticed it too late. Hange’s mind was clouded by her summer romance to even notice Nanaba’s longing stares at Mike. Hange still feels guilty and selfish about it to this day.
Rico placed her hand on Hange’s cheek so she can face her. "Why didn't you tell us?"
“Well, I never knew I would ever have to really! I don't even know who Sasha’s actual father is!” Hange confesses.
Nanaba placed her hand on Hange’s shoulders for support. Hange didn't see any hatred in Nanaba’s eyes after confessing about sleeping with Mike. Bless Nanaba’s heart. “Well, we already know Levi and Mike. Who’s the third guy?”
Hange takes a sip of her drink before responding, “A man named Erwin Smith. I don’t think any of you know him. He left Kalokairi before you guys arrived.”
Nanaba takes her hand off of Hange’s shoulder and shakes her head “The name does not ring any bells.”
Hange looks at Rico expecting the same reaction as Nanaba. What she did not expect was Rico’s mouth wide open in shock.
“Erwin Smith. Tall, blonde hair, blue eyes, and a face that looks like he starred in a movie? That Erwin Smith?” Rico asks as if she was in a trance
Hange looked at Rico with surprise. “Yes?”
Suddenly, Rico broke out of her trance and jumped with excitement. Hange and Nanaba looked at her confused.
“I’ll take that you know Erwin Smith?” Nanaba asks after Rico calmed down a bit
“Of course! Who doesn’t know who he is?” Rico said
“Apparently me,” Nanaba mumbles to herself, but Rico hears her anyway.
Rico sighs after calming down a bit. She takes out her phone and googles Erwin’s name. She pulls up the first image of him and shoves her phone to her friend’s face.
“Of course you wouldn’t, Nanaba. Erwin was on the cover of People’s: Sexiest Men Alive a few years ago and was in the Top 10 of the Most Handsome Faces in TC Chandler!”
Rico looks at Hange and Nanaba’s faces. She was expecting an exciting reaction but was met with her best friends just staring at her.
Rico continues instead “His dad was a successful university professor and is known for his contributions in research and activism. Erwin is similar to him, except he is a lawyer. Overall, Erwin is a very influential person in New York, and he has a good looking face”
Rico turns off her phone and pockets it away, and turns to Hange. “Hange, you’re a lucky gal to have slept with him. I gotta say that I’m impressed. You gotta introduce me to him sometime.”
Nanaba rolled her eyes. Hange couldn’t believe what she was hearing. “I knew he was a lawyer, but not all of that!” she waves her hands around to emphasize it. She ignored Rico’s suggestion for now.
Rico gave Hange a sympathized smile “Well, you’ve been so focused and dedicated to your hotel and Sasha. I’m not surprised you don’t pay much attention to everything outside of Kalokairi or even Greece.”
Meanwhile, in Nanaba’s head, she was trying to fit all of the puzzle pieces together. She didn’t see any of the men when she and Rico first arrived on the island, nor did she see them while heading to the hotel.
So that means they arrived after us, Nanaba thought. The question is, where are they now?
“Hange” Nanaba interrupts Rico and Hange’s conversation. Rico had asked Hange who she thought was the best out of the three she slept with. Nanaba could tell who she picked based on Hange’s small yet goofy and Rico’s 'are you serious?' face. “Where are the men now?” she asks carefully.
Hange’s face became horrified. She last saw them in the old goat house, but what if Sasha came back from the beach? How would she react?
“The old goat house,” Hange says. She looks at both of her friend’s faces “We can’t let them meet Sasha!”
Nanaba and Rico quickly grab their things as Hange puts the drink down and jumps off the sink. The three ran off towards the goat house, but not too fast to avoid any suspicion from any onlookers.
Meanwhile, Sasha and her friends peeked up from their hiding spots to find Rico and Nanaba entering the barn. They went back into hiding as soon as Hange entered.
“Don’t let them hear you!” Hange whispers as Rico and Nanaba climb up the steps to the attic.
Nanaba opened the hatch and looks inside first. Rico and Hange followed after only to find nothing.
“There’s no one here,” Nanaba says in shock.
Rico turns to Hange. “Are you sure?” she asks questioningly.
Hange rolls her eyes. “Of course, I'm sure! Do you think I would forget my daughter’s dads?”
She sighs. “They were all here. Levi Ackerman, Erwin Smith, and Mike Zacharias.”
Sasha takes a quick peek from her hiding spot with Mikasa to find her mom walking down the steps from the attic. Nanaba and Rico followed behind her.
“They must have gone on Mike’s boat,” Hange says as she walks out of the barn. “I hope they hit aground and drown.”
Hange enters the hotel and goes up the stairs to go to her bedroom. “What are they even doing here? It’s like fate just hates me today,” she says and throws her hands up in the air.
“Do they know about Sasha?” Nanaba asks as she runs up the steps.
“What are they, psychic?. Of course not! I never told a soul.” Hange turns to face Nanaba before heading into her room.
“Not even Pieck?” Nanaba asks and puts her purse down.
“I never told her too,” Hange says as she paces around near her bed.
“Oh Hange, you kept this to yourself all these years,” Rico says sympathetically and puts her stuff down.
Hange stops pacing and heads to her balcony door. “It doesn’t matter to me.” She closes the door. “The only thing that matters is that Sasha does not find out.”
Rico puts her hands on her hips and watches Hange walk around the room. “Maybe she might be cool with it?” she suggests.
Hange walks up to her bedroom door and closes it. “Cool with it,” she repeats. When would Sasha ever be cool with something like that? She might react the same way Hange reacted to Eren and Connie accidentally breaking her vase from Ms. Alexandra. It was not a pretty sight.
Hange chuckles nervously and walks over to her friends. “You don’t know Sasha as I do. This would be like a bombshell.
“But Hange, they’re gone!” Nanaba argues
“I don’t know that! They could be anywhere for all I know!” Hange runs her hands through her ponytail and moves to sit in front of her vanity.
She looks at herself in the mirror “I did this all to myself because I was stupid and reckless little slut.” she says and glares at her reflection.
Rico and Nanaba both gasped. “A slut?” Rico questioned. “You sound like your mother, right Nanaba?” Nanaba nods and laughs
Hange quickly turns around “I do not!” she says offensively.
“Yes, you do,” Nanaba says as Rico laughs this time.
Rico walks over to Hange’s stuff and grabs a feather boa and a ridiculous-looking hat. She then turns to Nanaba and gives her a familiar look that only Nanaba could understand. Nanaba caught on to Rico’s message and took her phone out of her pocket.
“Whatever happened to our Hange? The life and soul of the party.” Rico says dramatically. She puts the hat on top of Hange’s head and the boa around her neck.
“Yeah, the one who would talk your ears off about her research but can convince you to do a random musical number in the middle of campus? I’m astonished by how many men agreed to join." Nanaba adds as she was scrolling through her phone.
"Exactly, Nanaba! I remember how our Hange would attract so many guys with that back in New College." Rico laughs at the memories of different men walking up to Hange as she studied. Hange was too engrossed in her research to give most of them the time of day!
******
Hange could tell what Rico was trying to do. "Well, I grew up." She says as she recalls how much she has changed since.
Nanaba nudges Rico and steps away from her to give them some space. Rico smiles. "Well, you need to grow back down again Hange."
Rico jumps in her spot to face Nanaba and points to her. "Hit it, Nanaba!"
Nanaba presses play on her music app and pocket her phone away to where Hange could still hear the music. The familiar tune of “Dancing Queen” fills the room.
Hange watches her friends as they move their arms in a goofy manner, shook their hips, and sang their hearts out to the song. At one point, Nanaba and Rico faced one another and they sang to each other before directing their attention to Hange so she could sing along.
Hange squealed when her friends poked her sides. She ran to her bed and laid face down to avoid them. She moved her head up slightly to peek at her friends from her spot behind her blanket. Instead, she found her room empty, but the music continued to play.
Hange watched Rico and Nanaba rise up from the floor, go back down, and repeat the process a few times as they sang. The two eventually moved around Hange’s room and used multiple objects as props for their performance. In Hange’s opinion, Nanaba and Rico’s singing and dancing looked pretty ridiculous, but she knew they meant well. "Dancing Queen" is one of Hange’s favorite songs, and people at New College witness Hange dancing at parties. She was known as the Dancing Queen back in her college days. She wasn’t the best dancer, but anyone could tell she was having fun with one glance.
Hange started tapping her foot to the beat as she continued laying on the bed. She started reminiscing about her college days when she would go out and have fun, all while learning about biology. She remembered how she and her friends would let loose and just live life to the fullest. Hange wanted to explore and discover new parts of the world. It was one reason why she left for Kalokairi on her own all those years ago.
Hange sat up and pulled the blanket towards her. She watched as her friends go through her drawers to grab random articles of clothing to put on. Rico put on a puffy dress over her clothes, and Nanaba grabbed a random shirt and tied it around her head. Hange felt her mood change, and now she wanted to join in on the fun.
She sets the blanket aside and jumps during the song’s refrain. Hange felt as if she was the star of the show, her bed was the stage, and her friends were her audience. Hange felt alive! She felt like she was 22 again performing onstage with her friends. Hange even did a split in the air! Hange continued dancing on her bed before she had an idea. She grabbed her forgotten boa and ran out of her room.
“Where are you going?” Rico calls out while laughing.
Hange was running down the steps of the hotel, stops, and turns around to Rico. “I feel like singing today. Might as well do a musical number just like old times.” She winks and laughs as she continues running down the stairs.
Rico and Nanaba look at each other with glee before following Hange. They got their Hange back!
Hange, Nanaba, and Rico jumped around in sync as they passed the courtyard. The locals who watched nearby laughed. It looks like the trio was back at it again.
You see, before Hange had met Mike, Hange and her friends did a few performances in Kalokairi to help Hange deal with her heartbreak. Occasionally, Hange would invite the locals to perform with her, and the island would break out into a big musical (which never happened until Hange and her friends came along). The island was quiet after Hange had met Mike and her best friends left. Ever since Sasha’s birth, the locals would often find Hange singing those old songs to herself as she strolled around with her daughter. It was a sign to them that the Hange they met was still there, just dormant for now.
Hange stopped dancing once she reached a group of locals sitting around a table playing a board game. She places her boa behind one of the elderly men and lets the boa slide across his shoulders, much to his shock. The Hange he usually saw was too busy with her hotel to start dancing around for fun. Hange then places the boa across her back and on her elbows as she sang.
Meanwhile, Nanaba and Rico were out recruiting some locals to join them. It’s a good thing they were familiar with Hange and her group, or else the whole interaction would have been really awkward.
The group marched across the hotel grounds as the music continued to play good Nanaba’s phone. Hange skipped past the entrance with everyone following her. Nanaba and Rico would occasionally leave to gather more people to join as she led the group through town. Other locals were drawn to Hange’s group after seeing her singing and dancing again. Everyone singing along helped amplify the song, and everyone was in sync.
Hange was having so much fun and was having the time of her life. She skipped and sang as leads the group through different parts of the island. It felt like old times when she used to perform with her friends. Now here she was singing "Dancing Queen" with practically the whole island!
Hange started heading towards one of the piers. At this point, the group had doubled in size. A local piano player and an electric guitar player accompanied the song from their boats. The group stopped moving on the pier and continued dancing and singing to the beat. Everyone followed Hange, Nanaba, and Rico’s lead.
As the final parts of the song started to end, everyone who joined started to face Hange. They wanted her to end the song with a bang. Hange took her hair tie out of her hair and let her hair loose. She whipped her hair back and forth a bit and laughed cheerfully.
Hange came up with a good idea to end her little musical number. She looked to her left as everyone sang the final note to see Rico, who was the closest to her. Hange suddenly ran up to Rico and pushed her into the water. She then turned to Nanaba with mischievous eyes.
"Oh no, you don't!" Nanaba laughs as she attempts to run away from Hange. Nanaba didn't get far before Hange pushed her into the water too. Hange jumped in after her. Thank goodness for the invention of water-resistant cell phones. Everyone else jumped into the water after Hange.
Hange felt much better now than an hour ago. As she trod on the water, she couldn't help but think of her memories with the three men. She has happy memories with Erwin and Mike. She wishes she could say the same for Levi though. Hange felt pain thinking about him although she spent the most time with him. He was the one who broke her heart the most. Yet, swimming in the water reminded her of one time when she took off Levi’s clothes and pushed him off a pier and into the water. Hange's plan backfired when Levi grabbed her wrist to drag her with him. The goofy smile returned for just a slight moment, but it was long enough for Nanaba and Rico to catch.
Nanaba and Rico glanced at each other while treading on the water. Their plan worked for the most part. However, Hange Zoe still had some lingering feelings for Levi Ackerman.

Author’s Note:
The “Dancing Queen” scene was the hardest to write for me. I hope you like it and understand what is going on.
I apologize if any character is OOC and I know I portray Greece inaccurately.
I changed the character’s ages based on the school year in Greece (Sept 11 - June 15). Everyone is 20-21 and Armin is the oldest. Sasha’s bday changed to May.
I appreciate ANY feedback (especially after this chapter). I hope you have a good day, and everyone affected by today’s earthquake is safe.

What are some of your favorite lines of dialog that you've written, across all your fics? Your dialog makes me want to perish (complementary). 🐟
oh BOY this will probably be A List. hmm.
im probably gonna do just kaeluc stuff since thats my current obsession and all. plus i dont feel like looking through like 300+ pages of other fic documents. this one is long enough as is HFDHSKF
"You may be the most beautiful thing I've ever laid eyes on."
"Stop lying," Diluc groans through clenched teeth.
Kaeya laughs softly, working his fingers ever harder. "I'm hurt. You're too pretty to lie to, like this. I'm serious."
-
all time favorite for kaeluc stuff is probably:
"I assumed you wouldn't want to talk about the many suitors I've had sprawled across my bed, especially right now."
"Alright, alright, no need to brag."
-
"I love how you look on your knees, little prince. You look so perfect with my cock in your mouth."
"Do you have to say things like that?"
"You don't have to be afraid to say you like it, Luc."
-
BABYS FIRST FINISHED KAELUC FIC......
"You know that won't be easy."
"It'd be no fun if it was. The only question is, is it possible?"
+
"Promise me you won't leave again. Swear it."
-
"Your depravity really does know no bounds."
-
THIS ISN'T JUST DIALOGUE BUT I STILL REALLY LIKE IT AND AM SAD I PUT IT IN SOMETHING MEDIOCRE THAT DID RELATIVELY BAD. also some of this was technically the VERY FIRST kaeluc thing i ever wrote so thats fun:
"That didn't happen. Now, shut your mouth," he says, giving Kaeya a pointed look and brandishing a carrot, "before I shove this somewhere you don't want it."
"Gross," Paimon interjects, seeming the least shocked out of the five of them, scrunching up her nose.
"Well." A lazy, catlike smirk stretches across Kaeya's face. He does this thing up against a tree at the edge of the clearing, this habit he's had when up against a vertical surface since he was a preteen, this cocky little body-lean-head-tilt-arm-cross that Diluc has come to hate because fuck him, it's still attractive. "If it's you doing it, I don't know where that would be." Nobody besides Diluc- who rolls his eyes in annoyance and returns to cooking, face tinged the slightest bit pink- can tell that Kaeya just winked.
"Double gross."
"Good to see you two finally getting along," Lisa says with a small laugh.
"That's not what I'd call it," Diluc replies, not looking away from the fire. "We're simply being forced to cooperate."
"That doesn't mean you have to talk. You don't seem as gloomy as usual." Damn Lisa for having a point.
Diluc scoffs dismissively. "Communicating just makes work easier."
Lisa just smiles wryly and leaves it at that, sipping from her canteen and glancing over at Kaeya, who's shaking his head.
-
"Wait," Diluc murmurs when he breaks away, placing a hand over the stranger's mouth when he tries to follow. "Take off the mask."
The stranger groans. "Really?"
"Yes."
"You're no fun, as always." The stranger removes his mask, and Diluc huffs in irritation upon seeing his face.
"I knew it. Only you would wear that gaudy thing."
Kaeya grins. "Is that why you danced with me?"
Diluc simply rolls his eyes and kisses him again. "You know you weren't invited."
"I wasn't? I'm hurt. You've made me feel quite welcome, though."
-
preface this was for kaeluc month in like december almost a year ago and i obviously never finished it. kms. ive never participated in an event like that and it makes me SO MAD. anyway dilucs a vampire and kaeyas fae and kaeya invited him over for tea and theyre just at a stalemate of not wanting to be a bad guest or host cause of stupid metaphysical rules. anyway:
"I'll let you off with a warning this time, but no elbows on the table, Diluc. I know you know better. You wouldn't want to be a bad guest, now, would you?"
Diluc straightens immediately and puts his hands in his lap, as if the table had just burned him. "Of course not. Aren't you supposed to offer me something to eat, or are you not afraid of being a bad host?"
Kaeya props his head on the back of his hand, blatantly resting his elbow on the edge of the table. "But of course. What would you like?"
"You. ...Please."
Kaeya hums thoughtfully. "Now, that's not quite polite, is it?"
"I did say please," Diluc remarks, calmly crossing his arms and leaning back in his chair. They're going to be here for a while.
"That doesn't mean you get to ask to kill someone in their own home."
"It's not polite to order someone to do something when they can't refuse, either."
"Touché."
-
"I don't know what the hell to do with myself. It's all I can do not to beg you to take me until it's past time to open."
-
"Oh, Archons, Diluc, please, no, I'll come," Albedo says breathily between gasps, biting his lip to keep more noises at bay.
Diluc's lips turn upward just the slightest bit. "Isn't that our goal?"
+
"Okay, okay, Mr. Killjoy. We get it. You're jealous you aren't getting any attention. Don't set his books on fire."
-
"Do I have to tie you up, or are you going to be good?"
-
Diluc peers over Kaeya's shoulder at the cum on the floor and clicks his tongue. "You made a mess."
"What else was I supposed to do?"
A wicked smile graces Diluc's face as he brushes his lips against Kaeya's ear and pulls his head back by his hair, coaxing out a throaty gasp. "You know you're going to have to lick it up, right?"
"I'm surprised you, of all people, would even suggest that."
-
"The Archons blessed me with you."
Kaeya snorts. "I think I'm the last thing you'd call a blessing."
-
OKAY I THINK THATS ENOUGH SUCKING MY OWN DICK TBH theres a lot i think my dialogue is good sometimes i write so fucking much of it i guess i better huh

¡Vamos a España! - Chap 12
Chapter 12
https://archiveofourown.org/works/29442912/chapters/73869018

Alfida, Orm, and Gerda had arrived at the troll kingdom and on the outside of the corridor, they were waiting for their call to enter into the hall, where the thrones were located.
„Freya was okay with you going here you say?“ The raven-haired girl asked making Gerda nod.
„I just don‘t receive a payment for that day,“ Responded the blonde. „So far it‘s no issue. I‘ve been always present at the work, so if I miss a day or two, it‘s not bad,“
„Have you guys got at your kingdom actually got a daily sickness allowance?“ Orm questioned. „Queen Maribel suggested last year this idea and it got into effect this year,“
„No never heard of it,“ Gerda responded, then the door into the hall got opened back by a servant troll, which looked at the two human girls along with the troll Orm, then the servant looked at his sheet to check the list again.
„You‘re Gerda, Alfida and Orm?“ Questioned the troll earning a nod from the trio.
„You seriously don‘t remember Gerda, the one who took down the Fire-Demon last time?“ Questioned Orm surprised watching the servant shrug his shoulders.
„I apologize for my low knowledge. I assume the other Gerda had a last name,“
„Well I do,“ Gerda responded earning a nod from Alfida.
„What are last names?“ Orm asked following Gerda and Alfida into the hall.
„Well, a lot of families share a second name, which somehow tells other people, that you‘re a family. As my mom and dad got married my mom adopted my dad‘s last name, so people know they‘re family in a way,“
„Family names don‘t exist around us pirates. We just have first names or codenames and that‘s enough,“ Alfida added earning a nod from the troll, then the trio approached the king and queen, which sat on their throne looking together at one roll, then Gerda faked a cough to call the troll‘s attention.
„Hey,“ Gerda greeted making the two smile.
„Gerda, great to see you again!“ King Arrog announced getting up from his throne to give the girl his hand, instead of the girl taking it to shake, she embraced the tall troll surprising him, then he placed his arms around the girl.
„It‘s been so long. I‘m glad nothing bad happened to you after we failed to bring the rest of the magicians out of the mirrorlands,“ Commented Gerda. „You gotta tell us how you defeated the king with these powers you‘ve obtained,“ „Well, it turned out, that I turned into a powerful magician just as the Snow Queen once did. I‘m more able to fly, protect and serve people in need, which basically is what my heart always did before I knew about us being related with magicians,“ Gerda explained. „But I didn‘t come here for this. I came to aid Orm, cause somehow…….he was taking care of the triplets and on the day my boyfriend was boarding a zeppelin they managed to get in there unnoticed and left along with him leaving Orm and us worried unknowing what happened to them,“ Gerda explained shrieking Queen Maribel and shocking the king.
„Orm, how could you let that happen?!“ King Arrog asked sternly the thin troll, which felt a little intimidated by the troll from royalty.
„Yes I admit it, I should have listened to Gerda or Alfida. If I had kept my eye on them instead of believing the three would get into the ship of Alfida without an issue,“ Orm commented feeling bad about his deed.
„Do you at least have any idea, where this zeppelin went?“ Arrog asked while massaging his eyelids with his fingers.
„That‘s the only good thing about it for now. It went to Spain, where Rollan just went. They must have followed him as he had food with him,“ Gerda explained.
„Rollan….I‘ve heard this name once before, is it per coincidence the guy I‘m thinking about?“
„Yes, the one who almost destroyed your kingdom, but he assured everyone that he‘ has no memory of what he has done during that entire time,“ Gerda responded watching Arrog slap his forehead with his head.
„Oh lord,“
„I know you don‘t trust him as much as you do me or Orm, but I promise you, he‘s going to keep them well until the day we get them back home,“
„Alright,“ Arrog sighed. „Where exactly in Spain do they're on dwell?,“
„I know it‘s a place on the coast, it starts with an A…...Alcante? No, that‘s not right……,“ Gerda pondered, then her friend Alfida tried to remember the current cities she could call, which her mother had robbed in the past, and nudged the blonde on the shoulder.
„What about Alicante?“ Questioned Alfida. „That‘s on the coast“
„Yes that‘s the place,“ Gerda commented, then the king walked to a bookshelf that contained various books and took one out with the maps of the world and opened it to take a look at it, then Gerda got around the book along with Alfida, Orm and Queen Maribel.
„Here is it located,“ Alfida pointed out. „Around 700km away from France,“
„And we‘re how much? 10‘000 km?“ Questioned Gerda making Alfida shake her head.
„No, no, no, but at least 4000 or 5000, if we‘re counting from here,“ Alfida corrected earning a nod from Gerda, then noticed Orm raise his brows in curiosity.
„What is a boot doing here on the map?“ Questioned Orm making Gerda chuckle.
„That‘s Italy,“ Alfida pointed out.
„Looks…….strange,“ Orm commented.
„This makes me think on that comment Rollan made once about the Scandinavian peninsula, which nobody understood,“ Alfida pointed out chuckling making Gerda shrug her shoulders.
„Yet I still haven‘t understood it,“ Gerda pointed out, then got poked on the shoulder.
„Ask him and he‘ll answer it to you,“ The pirate girl commented with a wink, making Gerda shrug her shoulders estranged about that comment of her friend.
„Are you still planning into going to get my sons back?“ Asked the queen looking at the humans.
„We‘re going to get them back, Maribel. I promise,“ Gerda said grabbing the troll‘s hand to give her insurance.
„Thank you, Gerda,“
„Don‘t worry your majesty, tomorrow after we stop back at our home I and Orm will prepare the ship and head toward Spain,“ Mentioned the raven-haired girl, then Gerda lifted her head to glance at Alfida.
„Then wake me up, I‘m going with you,“ Gerda warned making Alfida wide her eyes.
„You don‘t have to come along. I and Orm can handle it on our own,“ Warned the pirate-descendant girl.
„I know you do, but it‘s always better to have more persons come along. If more of us come along we can find the triplets quicker,“ Gerda mentioned making Alfida cross her arms with a smirk.
„Let me guess…..is that an excuse to be able to see Rollan?“ Alfida asked making Gerda shake her head.
„It also counts a little, but mainly I‘d be a great help with my capacity of flying,“ Gerda announced stretching her arms and legs aside to transform into the dragon-themed superheroine, which made the royals drop their mouth.
„So this is what she meant with flying,“ King Arrog pointed out making Gerda smile and spread her wings wide to show them pridefully.
„Alright, alright. You‘re coming with us. After all, out of us all, they‘re most likely to listen to you, rather than me or Orm, eventually,“ Commented Alfida earning a nod from Orm
„They do listen to me, but sometimes…...they rather mind their own business,“ Commented the young troll making the humans laugh.
In the afternoon the guard academy attendants stood at the large parkour watching six students pass through it under the crowd‘s observation.
„As you can see some of the obstacles seem harder to come through than you think, when you don‘t think with your head,“ The teacher explained pointing at a climbing frame with three men crossing it under the right place while Rollan‘s friend Pastor and another man crossed the frame by walking stepping over each horizontal bar from the framework. „The goal of the parkour is for you to learn how to overcome those obstacles the fastest way possible. Sure out there it seems easier, but you don‘t know how smart the person is you‘re pursuing. He could have a terrible aim, but a great endurance and cunning reaction. Or worse, he‘s skilled in using it and made his way through the obstacles giving you a hard time in keeping up with. So far you‘re all far away to get started with this. As I mentioned yesterday, I will only let 6 to 8 of you run into this course, after a minute I‘ll let the next six follow afterward, and so on. The last 27 I order you to meet up with Juan and José, Group Delta, get in position,“ Ordered the teacher and Rollan moved forward along with three men, three teenagers, and the young woman Marina file up along the start line on the ground, which was made with a rope.
„I‘m surprised to be with you in the group. What do you think about this course? Manageable?“ Marina questioned looking at the old cartwheels spread in front of them a couple of meters away from them.
„Sure. I‘ve seen worse obstacles,“ Rollan responded watching the fastest member of the first group jump over the small hole filled with water to grab the rope, that hung above it on a tree, then he landed on the other side of the water hole and made his way towards a climbing wall. „I don‘t think others will have a problem,“ Rollan pointed out, then the third man ran into the moat and jumped to grab the rope and missed it, but landed at the edge of the water afterward the fourth man came along to use the rope and pushed the man away from the water and swung back and forth, then landed beside the man, which smiled at the other student‘s help.
„Maybe the small labyrinth will be a little tough,“ Marina commented earning a nod from Rollan.
„Yeah. Lieutenant Roberto said yesterday, that they would switch the walls of the labyrinth daily to give us a different route, remember?“ Rollan asked earning a nod from the girl.
„Yes he did,“ Marina commented, then looked around the group and noticed the teens around her age one brunette boy and a raven-haired boy waiting for the start, then the raven-haired boy looked at the girl and chuckle.
„Aren‘t you in the wrong address?“ Questioned the boy making the girl shake her head.
„No. Are you afraid to be outrun by a girl?“ Questioned Marina ironically, making the boy shake his head.
„Keep up your confidence. I don‘t think you‘re going to make it any farther, than this,“ The boy commented making Marina roll her eyes at the boy‘s comment, then Rollan noticed it and stepped aside to speak at the boy.
„Hey don‘t talk to her like that. She has the right to be here as any other of us,“ Rollan mentioned making Marina smile as he came to defend her. „She may look weak, but looks don‘t have to matter,“
„Hey dude, no one was talking to you…..“ The raven-haired boy commented, then widened his eyes as he was looking at Rollan. „Oh, dios mio. Ernesto, look who‘s here!“ The boy shouted getting the attention of the brunette boy behind him, which paid attention and recognized the taller boy in the red shirt.
„Rollan the loser is back!“ Ernesto, the brown-haired boy announced making his colleague laugh, making Marina furrow her eyebrow and Rollan widened his eyes at recognizing the two teens.
„We assumed you left Alicante because you finally noticed your presence around the city was worthless,“ Said the raven-haired boy. „And now you‘re here at the guard school hoping to become a legend like you always did before,“
„I‘m here so I can help my mama pay for her debts. This was the best chance I found and I‘m going to take it. Come on, Enrico, I don‘t know what was or is your problem, but let‘s just forget that and just behave like normal men,“ Rollan commented.
„You guys could really need a chat. Who knows, maybe you three will get along and be able to befriend each other,“ A third teenager added, then Enrico glared at the teenager, that mentioned that.
„I don‘t think this will work between us three,“ Ernesto mentioned earning a nod from Enrico.
„Yeah, he doesn‘t need our friendship. He‘s got his mama and all those heroes in the wallpapers of his bedroom. They‘re a better match for him,“ Enrico said, then the teacher used his shotgun to give out a warning at the groups.
„Andale! This isn‘t a break, this is now the training, andale!“ Shouted the teacher, earning the group‘s attention. The ones, which weren‘t involved in the argument departed first and ran over the wheels.
„See you at the finish line, loser,“ Enrico said departing behind his friend Ernesto, then Marina slapped Rollan on his back to order him to start and both ran toward the wheels and jumped with their feet from wheel to wheel. Rollan from the forced start was a little tensed and got distracted with the wheels and pressed on the end of one of the wheels, causing it to move up and get hit by the end of it between his legs.
„Ou!“ Rollan complained stepping back and holding his hands between them, then watched Marina climb over the ramp in front of the wheels and moving left to leave the ramp and head to an obstacle, which was an adjustable stick attached on two metal-made bars. Rollan moved on following the girl above the ramp and reached the upcoming obstacle and jumped over it.
„You‘re supposed to crawl under it. Imagine there was a wall and you only had to go under that,“ Roberto the teacher warned earning a nod from Rollan, then he looked further and shrieked as in front of him stood a large pile of bricks cemented together as a jump element and Rollan jumped on top of it and moved further approaching the wall, which was the end of the first checkpoint, then he moved back and went to the right side and ran in a slalom around staffs, that was dug into the ground. Rollan looked at the water jump in the middle of the course to see Enrico smirk at the older Spaniard, then jumped to grab the rope and Rollan shook his head to try to gain his focus.
„Come on. You can‘t just fail on this,“ Rollan told himself and went on the climbing frame and crossed it quickly, trying to catch up with Marina, which was on the climbing net, which was the next obstacle to Rollan.
As Rollan got onto the next obstacle he encountered Marina standing in front of a bow and Marina run through the bow and fell down on the ground and looked behind at the bow annoyed, which made Rollan curious at the situation.
„What was that?“ Rollan wondered coming to the end of the net and made his way to the bow to see a small rock attached to a rope swinging at the passage Rollan had to pass through. Rollan frowned and ran toward the long arc and jumped through the arc, getting hit on his arm, causing him to spin aside and land on his back.
„Ahahaha. You still want to come along with the others?“ Ernesto asked as he stood on the top of a climbing wall, then as his friend, Enrico reached the top he pointed at Rollan, causing his friend to laugh.
„Face it loser. You‘re never going to make it through this,“ Enrico commented making Rollan angry, then he got up and ran over the piles of stones, which stood there on the ground in various types of sizes, then Rollan got stuck with one of his feet between a large rock and a smaller one, then fell down on the stones making the boys laugh harder.
Marina which had managed to swing over the water jump noticed the boys laughing, then looked around for Rollan to encounter him trying to take his feet out from the stone, and as he managed to get it out his shoe remained back and he sighed making Marina get sad at his misfortune.
„Come on Rollan, just focus,“ Marina whispered, then watched Rollan move on and pass around a pole, which marked the second checkpoint and jumped over the water jump to catch the rope and swing at the end of it and got closer to the girl, which ran now along with him. „You need to ignore the others and focus on what you‘re doing,“ Marina warned watching Rollan jump at the wall to climb it up. „Are you listening to me?“ The brunette girl asked following the raven-haired the wall up.
„I‘m not a loser. I‘m better than what I was before,“ Rollan complained, then he slipped with his feet and landed on his back, making Marina flinch her teeth at his incident. „Maldiciön!“ Hissed Rollan making Marina hold her hand in front of her forehead and jumped down from above the wall and made her way to the labyrinth while looking back at Rollan, which tried to climb the wall again.

nightingale
█ nightingale █ wordcount: 1145w █ pairing: jeon jungkook/park jimin █ jimin fell in love with the boy next door. ♡ this is inspired by an old fic that i read . send your request here!
Taehyung thought Jimin was creepy for crushing on a total stranger but Jimin begged to differ. Technically, the boy next door was not a total stranger.
Sure, Jimin had never seen him before (he tried to look over the fence but to no avail, the boy had his back facing Jimin) and Jimin did not know which school he was from (although his build was sort of familiar to Jimin) and Jimin did not know his name —
So, yeah, maybe he is a total stranger. However, it was not as if Jimin had hung pictures of the boy or attempted to stalk him. It was not Jimin’s fault that the guy sang out loud to his heart’s content at fucking 2 in the goddamn morning.
It first happened when Jimin was pulling an all-nighter that he heard a mellifluous voice from the outside. Hell, he would have hide himself under the blanket but surprisingly, he recognized the song and lo and behold, it was a fucking Charlie Puth’s single. He wanted to stop listening and yell at his neighbour to shut the fuck up but he sounded so so good, much better than Charlie Puth Jimin might add, that he did the most irrational thing to do at ass o’oclock: open the window.
His saccharine voice made Jimin thought about a lover’s kiss and Jimin almost did not want him to stop when the song ended. He waited a few more minutes, hoping that maybe the boy would sing some more. He did not care what song it would be; he can even tolerate Baby Shark if it meant the boy will sing again.
Often, the boy would sing in the afternoon on a Sunday. The both of them were separated by the tall fence on their backyards; both their houses back facing each other.
Taehyung suggested for Jimin to man up and just pay him a visit but Jimin refused to do so. The boy might have stopped singing if Jimin came up to compliment him out of nowhere.
Alas, he had no choice but to wait for the boy’s next concert again.
 — ♡ —
Jimin never really hated anyone in his entire life but Jeon Jeongguk made it so easy to climb up to Jimin #1 NO-NO list. The big moron was made of cocky smile, fruity cologne and muscles. He may be gorgeous, but that did not change the fact that he was a jerk. It was as if Jeongguk’s mission in life was to humiliate Jimin for god-knows-what.
First, it was about his height. (“Where is Jimin hyung? I can hear him but I can’t see him!”)
Then, for some unknown reasons, it escalated to his bum. (“Mm, hyung, doing the 30-day squat challenge, are we?”) ((For your information, it was an EVERYDAY squat challenge so fuck you))
And the latest one, was dropping formalities altogether. (“Oi, Jiminie! Can I copy your homework?”)
Seokjin hyung insisted that Jeongguk had a crush on him but it did not feel like it when all Jeongguk did was making Jimin’s blood boil. Not to mention that Jeongguk was in the school’s football team, a group of guys Jimin tend to avoid due to their unnecessary cat-calling and suggestive winks.
Jeongguk never really flirt openly or anything, and if Seokjin hyung was right, the least Jeongguk can do is grow some fucking balls and ask Jimin out on a date so he can reject him in front of the whole school.
The universe can be a bitch sometimes.
Not only his phone was dead, now his car would not start. Nostrils flaring in annoyance, he took in few large breaths through his nose before screaming and bang his head against the steering wheel, accidentally letting out a huge honk in the process. “FUCK!” he yelled, surprised as he lifted his head to rub on the sore spot.
As if to prove how much a bitch the universe is, he heard a soft rhythmic knock on the window and turn to find Jeongguk had his brow raised at him. Jimin let out a sigh before pressing on the button to lower the window. “What the fuck do you want?”
“You’re contributing to noise pollution, Jimin-ssi. I, as a representative for these people, ask you to stop.”
“Shut up.”
“Feisty. Wanna tell me what’s going on?”
He had his cocky smile plastered on his face when he asked that, causing Jimin to roll his eyes before letting out a huff. “My car won’t start.”
Jimin expected Jeongguk to laugh on his face or say something to anger Jimin, but instead his hand reached out inside, pressing on the unlock button to open Jimin’s door. “Alright. Let’s go then. I’ll give you a ride.”
Jimin only stared at him in confusion, narrowing his eyes and pursing his lips in disbelief.
Jeongguk let out a small laugh, almost melodious in Jimin’s ear if he was to tell the truth. “C’mon now.”
With reluctance, Jimin took his car keys and stepped out of the car. He would much rather stay in his car and die of heat, or maybe walk back home but when he had an assignment due tomorrow, he just could not say no.
If it was not for the radio, the whole ride would be awkward and quiet. Jeongguk’s car was cleaner than Jimin anticipated, there was not even a single candy wrapper found. To Jimin’s chagrin, his car smelled nice also – just like the cologne Jeongguk always wore. Jeongguk was humming to the song playing on the radio, some top 40 songs that Jimin never really listened to. Jimin preferred indie than mainstream songs.
Jimin only stayed still in his seat, eyes focused on the road, in fear that Jeongguk might be one of those reckless drivers but he was barely reaching 70 km/h and he had both of his hands on the wheel. Cute, he mused. And when he realised what he had just done, he screamed internally. Jeongguk is far from cute. He was a dick.
Four more pop songs later, they arrived at Jimin’s house. Jimin got out of the car, contemplating whether he should thank Jeongguk or just run at full speed and never look back.
He hated Jeongguk but that did not mean Jimin will be disrespectful as he was. But it was only when he stepped out of the car and turned back to Jeongguk that it dawned to him he never told Jeongguk his address.
“Thanks for the lift…” Jimin started, only to falter when the realisation hit him. “How do you know where I live anyway?”
Jeongguk’s lip quirked upwards, all cocky and handsome, it made Jimin want to slap the smirk from his face.
“Oh? You didn’t know?”
“Huh?”
“My house is behind yours, hyung.” He winked before speeding off, not bothering to check his side-view mirror first.

Night Class
EXO Vampire AU: Part One: Minseok
Tumblr media
Summary: You sometimes attended your university’s night classes, which was a regular thing, so not too out of the ordinary. But what was out of the ordinary was each of the infamous socialites on campus somehow finding their way to you each time you decided to sacrifice your precious sleep for the sake of your education. Although, you’re the only one who manages to actually figure out why they’re most active at night.
Masterlist | Part One | Part Two | Part Three | Part Four | Part Five | Part Six | Part Seven
——
It wasn’t exactly unusual for you to be in the back corner of the lecture hall, well past midnight, somewhat attentive thanks to the double shot coffee you may as well be injecting into your veins every time you had the insane idea to attend one of these classes.
It was unusual, however, for someone to sneak in mid-way through the two-hour lecture, and sit in the seat right next to yours, despite the hundreds of other vacant seats in the venue. Unlike you and your abundance of stationary, he merely pulled a barely-used pad of paper and a single pen from his backpack.
Obvious confusion radiated from you in waves. The boy - dressed entirely in black - would have completely blended into the background of the dimly-lit hall if it weren’t for his bright blue hair, seeming to stand out more under his dark baseball cap.
You attempted to simply ignore him and focus on the lecture, but the glint of his round-framed glasses catching the barely existent light every so often as a constant reminder of the presence beside you made it extremely difficult. Thankfully, he was sat there quietly, seemingly choosing to focus on the lecture aswell, but after a few minutes of you almost holding your breath in order to not disturb him, you heard a harsh whisper, causing you to smudge your notes.
“Aish,” A short huff followed, as well as a barely audible grumble. You heard shuffling for a moment, and then nothing. You chose to glance over at him, only to see him already staring at you, taking you by surprise. Your lips parted slightly, and you almost missed the way his ebony eyes flickered to them and back to your face quicker than you could blink.
“Can I help you?” You decided to speak up, the unbearable silence and the way his eyes continued to flicker over your body as if he was observing his prey made you internally squirm, feeling suddenly uncomfortable under his gaze.
His own lips upturned into a half-smile at your question, his eyes darting around the room before making their way back to yours to answer.
“Uh, yes, actually. May I borrow a pen?” He nodded towards the unnecessary amount of stationary you had displayed on the desk. Staring it for a second, you felt your stomach begin to entangle itself in a knot, your decision to attend this particular night class quickly becoming one of the worst decisions you had made this semester. You reached over, searching for a pen you didn’t care you lose as it was obvious he wasn’t going to give it back, no matter what pen you gave him. You pulled a cheap ballpoint pen from amongst the midst of expense and handed it to him point-first. He smiled, fully this time, and flicked the pen over between his fingers so that it was facing the right way.
“Thanks,” He bowed his head slightly in gratitude and you both turned your attention back to the lecture you were missing.
Although, it didn’t take long, a mere few seconds, if that, for him to turn his attention back to you, causing you to look at him again.
“My name’s-“ You didn’t bother to give his time to finish his sentence, knowing his name perfectly well.
“Kim Minseok. I know” His eyes widend slightly, but his smile settled into a smirk, the boy choosing to drop his nice-guy façade the second he realised you knew exactly who he was.
“Ah, it seems I’ve gathered a reputation of sorts.” You knew his smirk meant he knew the rumours about himself, but it also confirmed the reliability of them. That sort of smirk was one that only the most arrogant would wear with pride, the kind of person who knew damn well they were above you in every way imaginable, the kind that would rub that exact fact in your face until you were bathing in the reminder or it.
“How could you not?” You whispered as he turned slightly, making sure to keep you in his line of sight. You had to admit, he was attractive, although, everyone knew that. His pale skin glowed slightly whenever you glanced at him on your way past, whether it was in the sunlight or moonlight it caught your eye all the same. And his eyes: you swore to yourself that the certain amber flecks hidden withing the soulless eyes of his became so much brighter on certain night, to the point where they shone bright gold if you looked through your peripherals.
You never saw them during full daylight; him and his group. You assumed they had all chosen to avoid their hoards of attention and the following they had gained since the year had started, and take their lectures during the evenings and sometimes on night such as this one.
They were all somewhat infamous on campus; the playboys.
Sure, there were plenty of other “playboys”, but none that came close to thwarting these boys’ collective reputations.
There were nine of them, each having their own different rumours floating through the university gossip channels. There was the odd rumour every so often that involved more than one of them but it all seemed so unrealistic to be true.
Minseok stayed relatively quiet for the remainder of the lecture, only his deep sighs of boredom interrupted the gruelling lecture, that somehow seemed to drag on for a lot longer than usual.
Almost an hour later, students began to scatter from the classroom, each going their separate ways in the twilight hours. It was a Thursday - or Friday now, you guessed - so there was still another day of lectures to be held before you could relax.
There was a slight tug at the back of your mind - you knew you had something planned for this weekend, but for the life of you could you figure out what it was.
You began to collect your things, talking your time as Minseok seemed to not be moving out of your way any time soon. Although, as you slotted the final few things into the enigma that was your bag, he abruptly stood up, leaving you to stare after him as he walked out of the lecture hall.
You stood, ready to do the same, when something peculiar caught your eye in the still-dim lighting.
He had left the pen, your pen, on the desk next to a piece of ripped paper. You eyed it cautiously before leaning over the desk to read it.
‘You’re interesting. I’ll keep my eye out for you. - KM’
You scoffed, pocketing the note and the pen before clearing out of the room, more then ready to return to your dorm, although, one thing played through your mind on a loop;
Why me?
----
Late the next afternoon, you were practically throwing yourself down onto the plush sofa seats of the university coffee shop, your best friend, Joy, merely lowering herself into the one opposite you, littering the floor with dozens of high-end shopping bags. You had only bought yourself the usual; a new book (or two), a few new pens to replace the ones that were running out, an unnecessary amount of candles, and snacks, of course. But Joy always shopped till you dropped, and it was never short of exhausting.
"Why do you buy so much?" You grumbled, reaching for the iced coffee that had been delivered to the table by one of the cute waitresses you'd noticed each time you came. She winked at you as she walked away and you blushed as you resisted the temptation to return the flirtatious gesture. Joy, oblivious to the exchange, groaned as the chime of the door bell rang, indicating another customer, one she obviously wasn't thrilled about.
Her mood change was obvious as the couch abruptly dipped besides you and an arm was thrown around your shoulders, pulling you into a warm body as a kiss was planted on your cheek. You glanced to see another of your friends, Amber, and you quickly pushed her away.
"Amber!" You whines before giggling at her, letting her hand slide from your shoulder to your waist as she moved closer to you. Joy had never really liked Amber. She tolerated her for your sake but she always found something or other to point out that she didn’t like.
It was no secret that you and Amber were extremely close, although there weren’t many that knew how close you really were. Of course Joy knew, which is why she merely arched an eyebrow when Amber leaned into you, whispering something only meant for your ears, causing you to squirm away from her slightly.
"So," Joy spoke, causing the two of you to pause your flirtatious antics and revert your attention back to her. Although, it was more difficult that it sounded with Amber tracing circles on your hip to distract you.
"What time are we coming tonight to get ready?" Staring at her with a blank look for a moment, it finally dawned on you what plans you had forgotten, and you were right, you didn’t want to remember.
"Fuck," Joy sighed, placing her coffee down on the table, shaking her head at me.
"You forgot didn't you?" I could sense Amber's amusement and i withheld from elbowing her, knowing it would only make it funnier for her.
"No?" Grabbing your own drink from the table between you, you distracted yourself with the straw, knowing that whatever chance you had of getting out of this had just been catapulted out of the window.
Joy gave you a pointed glare and you smiled at her sheepishly.
"Fine. What time is it now?" You took a small sip of your coffee, cringing when it was substantially colder than you expected.
"Half four." Amber answered, tugging on your waist as an indication to leave know as you both knew Joy would take all of the remaining time you had to get ready before the party, and even then you'd be slightly late - or fashionably late as she liked to correct you.
And as you all gathered your bags and drinks and walked out of the coffee shop, each of you missed the three pairs of amber eyes following you as you left.
——
“Why are we here again? I don’t think I know a single person in this house.” Music vibrated through the walls and echoed down the street. You rarely attended parties such as this one, not particularly being a fan of dozens of wasted university students in such a cramped space, however, Joy was, being the social butterfly of your small group. You knew she had some sort of connection to the host of the night, but you also knew it would be too complicated to ask what that connection was.
“We were invited.” She simply answered as she pulled you and Amber through the hoards of sweaty, half-intoxicated bodies.
“You mean you were invited.” She turned back to roll her eyes at you, before continuing to drag you towards the kitchen, presumably to gather drinks for you all.
You weren’t the most intelligent when it came to common sense, but you at least knew never to drink at parties that weren’t your own. You’d learnt the hard way once in high school that the ingredients of certain drinks weren’t as explicit as they seemed, and it was amazingly lucky you didn’t attend that party alone that night.
Although, as you finally reached the kitchen, which was surprisingly less crowded than you had anticipated, Joy slyly pulled as silver flask from her purse and winked at you. Amber pulled a three solo cups from a stack on the counter and Joy poured some of the contents of the flasks into each cup.
“Vodka.” She mouthed to you as you raised your eyebrow at her. You upturned you nose at the drink, recalling you past encounters with it. Amber nudged you and handed you a cup anyway, and you swirled the liquid around the inside before throwing your head back and pouring the liquid down the back of your throat. Wincing as a familiar burning sensation travelled with it, you swallowed, trying to keep the alcohol down as it threatened to travel back up.
“I hate you.” You muttered as both of the other girls laughed, Amber sliding an arm around your waist and pulling you back into the crowd to dance, leaving Joy in the kitchen. It had thinned slightly, barely, and you managed to find a space where you could move relatively easily, although you were both still pressed against each other - but neither of you complained.
Your hands were thrown around her neck and hers were sat around your hips as you both swayed to the rhythm of the music. As the music continued to play, vibrating through your bones and kickstarting the effects of the shot you hadn’t long since forced down, Amber slid one of her hands down your body and over your ass, not stopping until it reached the hem of the little black dress that was hugging your frame as almost a second skin. The other travelled up your back, pulling you towards her impossibly close, to the point where your lips brushed and your breaths mingled together. You tilted your head back, sucking in a breath as Amber attached her lips to your neck in a way that was sure to leave marks in the morning.
In the midst of your moment, you opened your eyes slightly, your attention turning the right of you, giving Amber more access to both your neck and collar bone. But the marks that she was leaving on your skin weren’t the priority of your worries at that second. Your eyes were glued to a figure in the shadows, bright blue hair almost neon despite the lack of light in the house. He was staring straight back at you, the amber eyes unmistakable in the darkness.
If he was here, you realised, then all of them were; his group. You noticed the shadow of a smirk on his lips as he watched you and Amber, and your body grew rigid, causing Amber to pull back. You quickly turned your attention back to her, your own lips finding their way to her jaw, her earlobe catching between your teeth as she gripped you harder. One of her hands began to make their way further up your leg and underneath your skirt and you stopped, tilting your head upwards to whisper in her ear.
“Not here.” She seemed to grasp your meaning and moved her hand back to your waist to guide you through the crowds once more, towards the staircase. You glanced back as you rushed up it, noticing the vacant space where the form of Minseok was stood mere seconds ago.
Amber thankfully didn’t notice your distracted state as you let her pull you into one of the vacant guest rooms of the house, making you completely forget about the mystery on campus as she slammed you against the inside of the now locked door, your lips immediately being crushed together as you continued your secret affair with the girl who posed as your best friend.
But you knew as soon as it was over, your mind would be instantly captivated by him again, as it had been for the past twenty four hours, along with the suspicion that there was just something hidden right in front of you.
And it was just a matter of time before you figured out exactly what that was.

Sanmao’s “Stories of the Sahara”, 《撒哈拉的故事》,素人渔夫 Amateur fishing man, Tâm Anh translated.
Once on Sunday, Jose was at company for over-time work, whole day not home.
I, to pass the time, took out all the money Jose has earnt during this year from March till now, counted carefully, noted down on a blank sheet of paper, awaiting him to come back.
To the evening, Jose was home, I placed the note paper in front of him, saying: “You see, during this half a year we have earnt, sum up, this so much money.”
He took a glance on the calculation I did, very glad, saying: “Hard to imagine, we have earnt this so much money; enduring the hard days in the desert, it worths our efforts.”
“Let’s eat out today, anyway we have this much money.” He joyfully proposed.
I knew he wanted to take me to dine at the National Hotel, very quickly I changed clothes to go out with him; this kind of reality was once upon a time.
“We want best-quality red wine, seafood soup, beef-steak for me, four helpings of prawns for my wife, ice-cream cake as deserts, also four helpings, thank you!” Jose said to the waiter.
“Lucky, today I have not eaten any the whole day, now we should have a big meal.” I whispered to Jose.
National Hotel was one under the organization of the Spanish Government; the dining hall was decorated very nicely like an Arabic royal palace, with very local ambiance, very comfortable soft lights, customers were not many; in here the atmosphere was fresh, no smell of dirt, knife and fork are kept clean to snow-like shining, table cloth was well ironed, soft music sound was like stream water flowing. I was sitting there, almost forgot we were in the desert, but seemed going back to our good old days.
After a while, foods were served, on a nice silver plate, a large row of fried prawns lined with green lettuce, glass filled with dark red wine.
“Ah! The blue bird of happiness is coming!” I exclaimed in excitement, looking at the dish.
“So delicious, from now on we should come here more often!” Jose sounded very generous that evening, like a tycoon.
Living in the desert for a certain time, it makes people learn a good thing: any little real-life enjoyment can bring about exceedingly heart-felt satisfaction and make people fly high. In other words, we take our senses more serious than our head.
Dinner finished, spent on it a fortune, we were very happy walking home, that evening I was a very happy person.
The following day, we of course ate at home; on the dinner plate there was one baked potato cake, one bread, a pot of water.
“We’ll share, wait I divide, this cake, you eat 2/3, I take 1/3.”
I was one hand sharing the potato cake, the other hand placing the bread in whole in the bowl for Jose, made it look quite full.
“It’s very delicious, I have added onion, let’s eat!” I started to eat.
Jose, like a tiger, ate up his cake in a wink, then he stood up heading to the kitchen.
“There’s no more, today let’s have just these.” I immediately stopped him.
“What’s wrong today?” He did not understand, looked at me.
“You look on this!” I passed on to him to see another calculating note.
“This is the sum-up of our expenses in recent half a year, yesterday’s calculation was of income, today’s calculation is of expenses.” I patted on his shoulder, explained.
“This much, we have spent this much? All has been spent!” He yelled.
     “Yes.” I nodded.
“You see, on the note paper it is written clearly.”
Jose grabbed the note paper reading the cash flow I have done ——“tomato 60 kuai per kilogram, melon 220, pork half a kilogram 300——"
“How come you bought such expensive food, we could eat less a little bit——” He was reading the note and talking to himself.
Till he read to ——“car maintenance 15,000 kuai, gasoline half year 24,000——” his voice was louder; he picked himself up.
“You don’t need to panic! Half a year we ran 16,000 km, you calculate to see, doesn’t it need to cost this much money on gasoline.”
“So, money we have earnt we have spent all, there’s no gain out of this hardship.” Jose looked very annoyed, his looks was like he was on a stage.
“Actually we did not waste any, clothes expense was none in the past half a year; expenses were all on eating out with friends, making photographs, long distance travelling; these have eaten up our money.”
“All right, starting from today, single friends we do not invite to dinner, photographs only do black and white, travelling also no more, this whole area of desert we have been through how many times.” Jose announced with very much determination.
This poor townlet, mentioning cinema there’s only one both dirty and broken, a little bit of bustle also not have, magazines received to hands are mainly outdated, television on average is broadcast two or three times a month, on which images are as terrible as ghosts, home alone people do not dare to watch, power-cut water-cut are as common as daily meal, like to take a walk around then whole day there is strong sandy wind blowing.
Days passed by here, except for Sahara people who take it at ease, Europeans most are alcoholism, husband and wife fighting, single persons commit suicide, very common, all these drama are caused by this life in the desert. Only us, can be considered as people who understand 'the art of living', hard days still we can endure, our living still can be considered as not too bad.
I was keeping quiet listened to Jose while he was making announcement on plan of expense cut. Then, I started to warn him: “This too economical, you are not afraid three months later we would either become crazy or commit suicide?”
Jose forced a smile: “Indeed, during holidays if we do not go out, we would be living sad to death.”
“Think about this, we do not go to Algeria that direction, travel inland no more; we go to the seaside. Why not take advantage of the over 1,000 km coastline here; we should go there to explore.”
“Go to the seaside, travel through the desert a round trip gasoline also costs a lot.”
“Let’s go catch fish then, we do salted fish sun-dried, we can save money on food, also can lower money spent on gasoline.” My strength has always been solid, talking about playing, I never lose heart.
The following weekend, we carried tent, walked along the seaside to research nearly 100 km rock shore; at night we set up tent sleeping on the edge of the cliff.
Rock shore with no sand beach has a lot of good things, using ropes to hang on the edge of cliff was very convenient; when the tide had withdrawn, on the rock revealed barnacles, in between of the holes there were crabs, in the pool there were octopus, barred snake eel, trouts as-big-as-a-plate, also thousands of black seashells growing on the stone, we could recognize they were a kind of mussels, also fatty kelp which can be dried to make an ingredients for soup, driftwood could become a modern sculpture, little stones taken home put onto cardboard would become paintings. On this vast area of seaside, there was nobody around, was still intact and wealthy of resources.
“This is King Solomon's Treasure, we get rich now!” I jumped up and down on the shining rocks, yelling, so excited.
“This big pile of stones is for you, you collect quickly, tide has withdrawn.” Jose threw to me a bucket, a pair of gloves, a knife; he also put on diving suit, was about to dive into the sea to catch big fish.
Not up to one hour later, my bucket was filled up with mussels and barnacles, also 16 red colored big crab sized as big as small washing-basin; the bucket became so heavy, I used rocks to make a blocked jail, temporarily locked them inside. Kelps I collected a big pile.
When Jose went ashore, around his waist there was a string of up to 10 big fishes, light pink-colored ones.
“You see, not enough hands to catch, there are a lot.” Only at this moment I learnt the taste of being a greedy person.
Jose saw my big crab, again went to catch, got nearly 20 black-grey little crabs. He said: “The small one is called Nicholas, compared to big ones they are more delicious.”
The tide was gradually rising; we retreated to under the cliff, scraped off fish scales, washed the fish belly, full a big bag. I took trousers off, two trouser legs made a knot, poured all the crabs in, the bucket was also fastened on the rope, that way we climbed up the cliff. That weekend going out on exploration for the first time, could be considered as return with full load.
On the way home, I urged Jose: “Quick, quick, we drive back then call colleagues in the single dormitory to come for dinner.”
“You do not do salted fish?” Jose asked.
“The first time doesn’t count, we invite friends, they normally also did not eat well.”
Hearing that, Jose was very happy; before arriving home even went to buy a case of beer, half a dozen of wine to invite friends.
Later, for several weekends, colleagues also wanted to come along to catch fish. We were very delighted, bought 10 kg beef, 5 Chinese cabbages, made 10 more quiche, also brought along an ice-box, a charcoal furnace, 5 big buckets, 6 pairs of gloves, also bought a case of coke, a carton of milk. Several cars were mighty on the road, running up and down along the coastline; at night we set up tents, ate grilled beef, talking, had a great time together; the plan of expense-cut was lost on the way.
In our little family, no one manages money. Money, we put in the pockets of a Chinese cotton jacket, who needs then go to take. Bills, if we remember to note down, then write on any piece of paper at hands, throw into a candy pot.
Went out to the seaside not many several times, the jacket pockets has become empty, candy pot has filled up with little by little pieces of paper slip. “Again, nothing left, really fast!” I held the jacket talked to myself.
“Initially going out to the seaside was to catch fish making salted fish to save money on food, wasn’t it? Result, even more spending.” Jose was puzzled scratching his head.
“Friendship is also priceless wealth.” I could only use these words to console him.
“Next week, we will simply go catch fish to sell.” Jose again determined.
“That’s right, fish we can eat so we can also sell! So smart, I did not think of it!” I jumped up, patted on Jose's head.
“Just need to earn enough to balance the expense we spent on playing, that would be good already.” Jose is not a greedy ambitious person.
“Good, sell fish, next week we sell fish.” I was thinking big, hoping this time gain a fortune.
That Saturday early morning 4:30, we got on our car in the dark, set off on the road when it was freezingly cold outside, our teeth were trembling; raising our flag of high craftmanship, boldness, well knowing of the way, we firmly drove in the dark desert.
8 o’clock past in the morning, the sun has just arisen for a while, already we have arrived at the cliff; behind us an endless, mysterious, and quiet desert; in front of us stormy waves and cracked shore, the immense ocean and scattered rocks; blue sky was without a cloud, seabirds in flock flied to flied back, here and now a few bird voice, made it filled with even more emptiness and solitary all around.
Upturned the collar of my jacket, widen my shoulders, I looked up giving out a breath, kept this posture stood still.
“What are you thinking about?” Jose asked.
“How about you?” I also asked.
“I am imagining some realms depicted in ‘Jonathan Livingston Seagull’ that book."
Jose is a clear and bright spirit; this moment, this scenery, thinking of that book perfectly matches him.
“How about you?” He again asked.
“I am imagining, I was that one crazily in love with a handsome crippled military officer, I was about to go for a walk with him on this plateau, surroundings us was beautiful heather flowers everywhere, the wind was blowing in my hair, he was enthusiastically gazing at me—— romantic, again dramatic time!” I lamented.
Talking, again I closed my eyes, held myself in my own arms, sighed with satisfaction.
“You're playing today is ‘Ryan’s daughter’?” Jose asked.
“Your guess is right. All right, now start to work.”
I clapped my hands, walked out pulling the rope, ready to climb down the cliff. Through these some wild imagination, getting down to work could get some excitement: this has been the way I came up with to adjust the dry boring life.
“Sanmao, today work seriously, you need to give good hands.” Jose was in earnest.
We were standing on the rocky edge; Jose went down diving; each time he caught a fish, rose up, he threw it to the waterside; I quickly came up to collect, kneed on the rock, I used a knife to scrape fish scales, washed fish belly, cleaned it up, then put the fish into a plastic bag.
Scraped two or three very big fish, my hands were already scratched bleeding, dip into sea water oddly hurtful.
Jose was under water floating sinking, continuously threw fish up onto shore; I worked recklessly, placed the well-cleaned fish lined up neatly in the bag.
“Earning money is not easy!” I shook my head talking to myself, knees started to swell red.
After quite a while, Jose just then arose to shore; I quickly brought him the milk to drink. He closed his eyes, lying on the rock, face was pale white.
“How many we've caught?” He asked.
“30 more, very big, about 60, 70 kilograms.”
“Catch no more, almost tired to death.” He again closed his eyes.
I poured the milk, saying: “We, like this, could be called amateur fishing people.
  “Fish is meat, Sanmao.”
“What I am saying is not about meat and vegetable. Previously, in Paris there was a group of people, weekdays they go to work, weekends painting, they called themselves amateur painters. We, on weekends go catch fish, therefore called amateur fishing man, also not bad!”
“You are so fancy, catching fish you could also come up with some new title.” Jose was not very interested though.
Enough of rest, we took it in three rounds, carried the whole pile of fish, as big as a little mountain, up to the cliff; put them inside car back space, topped up with ice from the icebox. Looking at the desert under blazing sun shining, this more than 200 km road driving back, again was another hard trip; strange it was, this time not yet having much of fun, body was also exhausted.
Car soon arrived in the townlet, I softly begged Jose: “All on you, let me get a little sleep before we go out to sell fish, please! So tired already!"
“Can’t. Fish could get stink. You go home to rest, I will sell. “ Jose said.
“Go to sell then we go together, I keep up a bit then get better now.” I just rather said.
Car passed by castle-like boundering walls of the National Hotel, I suddenly got an idea, loudly called ——“Stop——"
Jose stopped the car; I barefoot got off, turned my head to look inside the gate.
“Hello, hello, ——” I softly called to Antonio at the counter.
   “Ah, Sanmao!” He greeted loudly.
“Shuzzz, do not shout, where’s the back door?” I softly asked him.
“Back door? Why do you want to go back door?”
I have not yet explained, right at that time the hotel manager was walking by, I was so scared hiding myself behind a pillar; he turned his head looking, I could simply sneak out get back on our car parking outside.
“Can’t! I can’t sell, so embarrassed.” My face was straight.
“I go.” Jose slammed car door, strode into the hotel. Good Jose, really has a style.
“Hello, Sir, manager.” He took out his hands towards the manager to greet; the manager came to him; I hid myself behind Jose’s back.
“We have fresh fish, do you want to buy?” Jose sound plainly, face also not blush, I think there’s a bit pretending.
“What, you want to sell fish?” The manager stared at us, worn-out trousers, face revealing a lot of hardship, as if we were humiliating him.
“Want to sell fish you go side door, talk to the person in charge of the kitchen——” He pointed to the side door, sounded quite intimidating.
I immediately shyed a long way back, recklessly pulled Jose to get out, told him: “You see, he looked down on us, we go to another place to sell; later if there’s any party we still have to see the face of this manager——”
“This manager is a dickhead; no need to be afraid. Go, we go to the kitchen.”
Kitchen people all gathered up to look at us, seems very odd. “How much a kilogram?” finally there’s a buyer.
We glanced at one another, did not know what to say.
“Uhm, 50 kuai per kilogram.” Jose called a price.
“Yes, yes, 50 kuai.” I hastily added.
“OK, I take 10 fish, we go to scale to see how much it weighs.” The person-in-charge was very gentle.
We were very glad, flying-like ran to the car, chose 10 big fish for him.
“This bill, after date 15th, you can take it to our accounting office to claim your money.
“You do not pay in cash?” We asked.
“We are a public agency, you understand understand please!” The person-in-charge shook our hands.
We took the bill for selling the first batch of fish, worth over 1,000 kuai, looked then looked, then very carefully I put it into my trousers' pocket.
“OK, now we go to Sisters 'Hotel.” Jose said.
This 'Sisters' Hotel' is Sahara renowned place; they often provide meals to workers, at night selling wine, upstairs there are rooms for rent. From outside look very glamorous, inside all day playing popular music, lights are green coloured only; often there are groups of gorgeous white women doing business inside.
Road construction workers from Spain, once get salary paid, often go to Sisters’ Hotel to play, get drunken then be thrown out; salary of a month of hard work, more than half is spent to these women’s pocket.
To the hotel door, I told Jose: “You go inside, I wait outside.” Waited almost 20 minutes, not seen Jose came out.
I carried one fish, also walked in; right in time I saw, behind the counter, a sexy 'sister' was feeling Jose’s face; Jose- like a leather-head bird- was standing. I strode to, fiercely straight face shouted to the woman: “Buy fish or not, 500 kuai per kilogram.” Also I put the fish carried in hand heavily slammed on the bar counter, made a loud bang.
“How come wildly raise the price; your husband has just said 50 kuai per kilogram.”
I stared at her; thought to myself: you dare to touch Jose’s face again, I'd increase price to 5,000 kuai per kilogram.
Jose pushed me out of the hotel, softly said: “You really know how to cause trouble; I almost had all the fish sold to her.”
“Not buy then leave it, you sell fish or sell yourself? Even let her touch your face.” I raised my hands up to hit Jose, he knew he was on the wrong side, hold his head and let me hit.
Calmed down, again I rushed into the hotel taking back that fish we had left on the bar counter.
The sun was high on the sky; we were under the heat, hungry, and thirsty, also exhausted, also angry with one another; I was about to think of throwing away all the fish, only was speechless.
“Do you remember Pug at the Sahara army group kitchen? “I asked Jose.
“You are thinking of selling to the army group?”
    “Yes.”
Jose did not say a word, drove towards Sahara army group’s camp site; not arrived at the army living quarter yet, we saw Pug right at that time was walking on the road.
“Pug.” I loudly called out to him.
“Do you want to buy fresh fish?” I was so much hopeful, asked.
 “Fish, where?” He asked.
“Inside our car, there are more than 20.”
Pug stared at me, shook his head strongly. “Sanmao, more than 3,000 persons in this army group, eat your more than 20 fish, enough?” He rejected.
“This is not necessarily; you first take to cook to see! Jesus’ 5 cakes, 2 fish, were enough to feed his more than 5,000 persons; how do you say?” I again asked him.
“Let me tell you, you go to post office front door to sell; over there most people passing by.” Pug showed us a way out. Of course, our selling target is Europeans; Sahara people do not eat fish.
So we again went to the stationery shop, bought a black board, a few pieces of chalk, again to an acquainted grocery we borrowed a scale.
On the black board, we drewn a jumping red fish, again wrote "Fresh fish for sale, 50 kuai per kilogram.”
When we drove to the post office front door, already 5 o’clock in the afternoon; air-mails, air-packages were arriving; a large crowd of people was there opening their mail-box, very much bustling. We stopped the car, put the black board in front of car window, car back door was opened up. Completed with these, face already blushed quite a lot; we ran to the sidewalk across the street to sit down, not even dare to look at walking people on the street.
A crowd of people one group to another walked by; no one stopped to buy fish. Sitting there for a while, Jose said to me: “Sanmao, didn’t you say we are amateur people? Amateurs don’t have to live by selling spare-time stuff!”
“Go home?” Really I also ran out of energy.
Right at that time, a colleague of Jose walked by, saw us he came to greet: “Ah! Out for fresh air?”
  “No.” Jose shyly stood up.
“Are selling fish.” I pointed to our car on opposite side across the road.
This colleague was a single, also a rough-and-ready kind person. He walked out taking a look at the black board, again looked at car back space, got the situation, immediately he walked back, grasped us both across the street to the opposite site.
“Selling fish ah, you need to calling out to sell! You two are shy like this do not work. Come, come, I'll help you.” This colleague in passing hands pulled a fish out, held it in his hand, yelled at high pitch: “Yu——yo, sell fresh fish yo! 75 kuai per kilogram yo ——aiyo——fish ah!” He even took his own initiative raised the price.
The crowd was attracted by his yelling, immediately gathered up around; we overjoyed at the turn of our selling: more than 20 fish was a little thing, just after a while all were sold out.
We were sitting on the ground counting money, more than 3,000 kuai; then again looked around for Jose’s colleague; he has already walked far away with a grin.
“Jose, we should remember to thank him!” I told Jose.
Back to home, we were already exhausted. After a shower, I was in a towel yukata to the kitchen boiled a wok, put in a pack of noddle.
  “Eat this?” Jose was unhappily.
“Just let's eat something. I'm almost exhausted to death.” I in fact did not even want to eat any.
“From early morning working that hard till now, you only gave me noddle, not eat.” He was mad, put on clothes to go out.
“Where are you going?” I shouted.
“I go eating out.” He said firmly, sound as hard as cement.
I could only also change clothes, chased him up, together we went out; the so-called eating out, of course could only be one place to go—— restaurant at the National Hotel.
At the restaurant, I whispered to Jose: “This world there’s only you this kind of person. Order the least expensive dish, do you hear me?”
Right at that moment, one of Jose’s bosses was clapping hands walking over, loudly he called out: “What a coincidence! What a coincidence! I am having no companion for dinner tonight; we three persons together then.” He by himself was talking and taking a seat.
“I heard today kitchen has fresh fish; how do you think, we take three fish to taste, this kind of fresh fish, not often seen around here in the desert.” He was again by himself talking.
The boss, accustomed to being a boss, forgot that he should also look at other people's face. Not a word to us yet, he said to the waitress: “Salad, 3 fish, wine, now, deserts later.”
The person-on-duty in the dining hall was exactly the one at noon in the kitchen buying fish from us; he was accidentally walking by our table, seeing Jose and I we were eating the fish we sold which now were served on dish at 20 times more of the price; his jaw dropped, like he was looking at two crazy people.
After the dinner, we and Jose’s boss competed for the bill, result Jose won, used up the money from selling fish at the post office front door to pay, only left some change money. Just then I sensed, these fish no matter was sold at 50 or 75 kuai per kilogram, was still sold at such a loss; we, after all, were in the desert.
The following day early morning, we overslept till late. I got up making some coffee, washing clothes; Jose was still on bed, saying to me: “Lucky, still we have that bill at the National Hotel we can collect; otherwise yesterday a whole day was miserable enough; gasoline cost we also had to offset, not to mention so much tireness and hard work.”
 “You're saying the bill——that bill——”
I screamed, rushed to the bathroom, washing machine had already closed; out of the load covered up with soap foam, I took out my trousers, put my hands in the pockets to feel the inside——that bill has already been soaked with water, become soft and white a little heap; want to put them together also could not anymore.
“Jose, the last fish has also slipped away! We again will have to eat potato cake then.” I sat on the stone steps of the bathroom, crying and laughing out.

friends to lovers!Jihoon
Requested: Hey can you please do a park Jihoon scenario or AU where he’s best friends with someone and their very close (a lot of skin ship) etc. and he ends up confessing? And I love your blog💗💗
Pairing: Wanna One Park Jihoon x Gender Neutral Reader
Ok so I had written out loads of this when my computer crashed and I lost it all so if the first half seems a little off it’s because I had to rewrite it all and just...urg
Plus I actually researched the Korean schooling system and did the maths on korean ages and all that so hopefully it’s as accurate as possible
Tumblr media
You met Jihoon when you both started first grade
He just moved to Seoul from Masan with his family just in time to start primary school
You had been seated together by the teacher but neither of you started any conversation due to you both being shy
It wasn’t until the 20 minute break after second period you even talked to him
You saw him being surrounded by a group of about 4 other kids and he looked...sad
Walking up to them all, you heard that they were making fun of his satoori
So overcoming your shyness in order to help out a classmate
You move to stand in front of the boy and tell them off as well as a 7 year old you can
(Jihoon would later tell you that you looked like his mother when she was telling him off)
After they apologise and move away, you take Jihoon’s hand and pull him over to join you in drawing
And that’s where you friendship started
You quickly became best friends
You shared everything
Food, clothes, secrets
Even families considering you basically lived at each others house
Sometimes you thought your parents loved Jihoon more than you, not that you can blame them
Whenever he was in a musical, you made your parents buy tickets for every showing
Whenever he was in a drama you would drag both your families into one of your sitting rooms and make them all watch every episode with you
When he appeared on KM Idol War with Big Bang you wouldn’t shut up about how lucky he was
And you made sure he ate and got enough rest when he was a trainee
You were his biggest supporter
And he was yours
When your family pet died, he was your shoulder to cry on
He sat on your bed and listened to you gush about your crushes all night
And brought you your favourite ice cream when you got dumped for the first time
He celebrated with you when you got that high mark you had studied so hard for
And you loved each other to bits
It was only when you comforted him when his knee injury caused him to miss out on potentially debuting as a member of Astro that he realised these feelings weren’t completely platonic
He started noticing things he hadn’t payed attention to before
Like how well your hands fit together
Or how pretty your smile was when you found the snack you wanted in the convenience store
He never voiced anything though; he was happy with being your best friend
Whenever one of the lovely old grandmothers mentioned how cute you looked together during your regular market trips
Or when an auntie with a baby on her hip said she hopes her kid is lucky enough to find a relationship like yours when they grow up
You would simply smile and say thank you instead of denying and if you had ever looked at Jihoon in these moments
You would see his ears turn bright red as a shy smile appeared on his face
You couldn’t blame people for thinking you were a couple instead of best friends considering that skinship was never a shy subject for either of you
You could often be found his head in your lap and your fingers running through his hair
And if you were walking together, if your arms or hands weren’t linked together then he would have his arms wrapped around you with his chin on your shoulder
(You always complain about how hard it is to move like that but he never listens and still does it)
Despite all this, you never gave any thought to it; being used to it all
It is only when Jihoon is accepted as a contestant on season 2 of PD101 to you start to question yourself
You find yourself missing him more than usual even though he isn’t far away
When you see him winking in the show; you feel butterflies in your stomach despite having witnessed him practicing his winking in your bedroom mirror
And you get jealous when people start fangirling/fanboying over his aegyo
The same aegyo he would use on you to get what he wants
And it suddenly hits you that you have a crush
On Park Jihoon
Your Jihoon
Your best friend
And while you are in shock for the rest of the day, after a good nights sleep you wake up thinking that you can’t stop feeling what you are
So you go on as you were
Voting for your best friend and talking to him whenever you can
And you are so proud of him when he finds out that not only will he be debuting, but that he came in second place
That the next time you see him you give him the biggest hug ever, despite being in front of all the other newly Wanna One members
(According to Woojin, it lasted more than five minutes)
The next few weeks go by as normal; except for the fact that you see each other less due to him being so busy with getting ready to debut and all
You two are constantly confusing the other members of Wanna One with all your skinship
“So you two aren’t dating? Are you sure?”
“Are you and Daniel dating Seongwoo?”
“...if I say yes does that mean you have to ask them out? Ow!”
*cue both Daniel and Jihoon hitting Seongwoo*
(Ongniel is Science)
You are both used to getting these comments, however it’s different now that you are both aware of your own feelings towards the other
Jihoon isn’t the only one with red ears during these times now
The constant teasing cause you two to sort of drift apart a little
Well, not really
You just start to become almost shy around each other, and you don’t talk nearly as much as you used to
And so you, being young and dumb, start to avoid him a little, hoping it will make it all die down a little
This behaviour continues on until after the debut of Wanna One
One night Jihoon is just sitting in bed think about why you were avoiding him
Did he do something to make you hate him?
Did you find out about his crush on him?
He doesn’t get any sleep that night and so the next day he finds Jisung and asks for advice on what to do
(Jisung has to pause for a moment because he feels so touched that Jihoon came to him for advice)
Of course, Jisung simply tells him to just confess already because he is pretty sure you feel the same way
And so, with the confidence of his leader backing him up, Jihoon vows to do just that
He invites you over to the practice room to watch them, well, practice
Your are just browsing the internet on your phone when you receive a text from Jihoon asking you to join him
You quickly change out of you pajamas, subconsciously dressing a bit nicer than you would normally dress when meeting up with Jihoon, before saying a quick ‘see you later’ to your parents and heading out
As you arrive at the practice room, Jihoon greets you with the usual hug
Silently sighing in relief when you accept it instead of pushing him away
If you hated him then you wouldn’t have come in the first place so at least he knows that much now
For the next few hours, you cheer on the boys as they dance, handing out bottles of water and towels when needed and even having your own go at the dance
As they take a break, Jihoon walks over to you and pulls you outside
You both decide to ignore the whistles and catcalls of the boys behind you
As you come to a stop, he turns to face you looking more nervous than you had seen him before, which is hard considering how many times you had seen him nervous before auditions and performances
“Is everything alright?” you ask the boy before you, placing a hand on his cheek as you have often done before
He takes your hand off his cheek, but doesn’t let go of it
“I don’t think we can be best friends any more” he spits out
And as your eyes widen, grip on his hand loosening a little, he realises how that sounded
“No! No, I didn’t mean it like that! I meant that I like you and have for a while now but you’ve been avoiding me and so you probably knew this and don’t feel the same way even though Jisung hyung said you might but I needed to tell you and get it off my chest.”
All of that is said with one breath
It is silent between you for a moment as you take his words in, before you take his other hand in yours and swing you arms between you
“So your saying that all the times that people have said we look like a cute couple, we could have actually been a couple?”
Jihoon immediately understands the meaning behind your words and a massive smile appears on his face before he pulls you in close
“Better late than never right?”
When you both head back to the practice with giddy looks on your faces, the others immediately know what happened and start cheering, causing you both to blush
But this time the teasing doesn’t get to you
Instead you simply smile at each other before he goes back to join in the dancing
After this, literally nothing changes in your relationship except that there’s kissing on the lips instead of just the cheeks, nose, forehead, top of the head, back of the hand etc.....yeah, ok, you definitely understand why people thought you were always dating now
You also see Jihoon’s famous jeojang aegyo all the time
He wants meat but you want ramyeon? He jeojangs his way into getting meat
Jihoon loves the fact that he can now tease his hyungs about having a significant other while they are all very simple
You knew very well what you were getting into and because you understand eachother so well there are never any arguments, and the ones that do come about are never anything serious because you are still young
When your parents find out all they can say is that they saw it coming
Overall, you relationship is an easy one and a very loving one
Jihoon has always been your best friend and always will be
It’s just that now he also has the title of your boyfriend
Hope you enjoyed it!
Feel free to leave a request!

Angel of Death
, Chapter 3: A Chance of Redemption
***
USS VENGEANCE – 237,000 KM FROM EARTH
“Don’t get me wrong,” Molly continued, nodding towards the still frozen Alexander Marcus. “He’s getting what he deserves. You’ll get no argument from me on that point. But the consequences of your actions for the others you’ve killed before, and the lives you are still to take will come at great cost to you in an unpleasant and permanent way.”
As she spoke, Khan had moved cautiously around the bridge, his eyes remained firmly fixed on the young woman that had made such an unexpected appearance at the most crucial point in his plans for revenge.
With his inspection complete, Khan was satisfied that there were no additional surprises awaiting him, and he made his way back to where the young woman sat.
“You can’t possibly know that,” he responded.
“I can actually,” she replied, almost cheerfully.
Khan’s patience snapped. “Who are you?” he demanded, standing over her like the avenging angel he was.
With lightening speed Molly was on her feet, and before Khan could react she had pressed her sickle against his chest and shoved him forcibly back.
When he looked at her, he saw her as those who were headed for the Bowels of Hell would see her, a ghoulishly hideous figure, with harsh, cruel eyeless sockets, and a skeletal frame covered only by her hooded robes.
“I am the Angel of Death,” she intoned. “And I am here to take you, Khan Noonien Singh to the place of your reckoning where you will spend eternity in endless torment.”
In the blink of an eye she had reverted back to how she had looked when she had lived.
Khan, for possibly the first time in his life was lost for words. The thought that this petite, sweet-faced woman was the embodiment of such a frighteningly powerful force left him completely stunned.
Eventually, he managed to get his still befuddled brain to form a dazed question.
“So why are you here now?”
**
It was not a decision she took lightly.
In all the years she had tirelessly performed the tasks assigned to her, she had never once intervened in the outcome.
What was it about this man that made it necessary that she now take such a step?
The answer was simple – her heart. From the moment she first laid eyes on him, her heart that she believed long dead with the rest of her corporal body miraculously began to beat once more. Its cause, a love she had not allowed herself to feel in a very long time.
Rightly or wrongly she didn’t want to strike Khan down.
So she decided to take matters into her own hands. Not as Death, but as Molly Hooper.
**
USS VENGEANCE – 237,000 KM FROM EARTH
“I have a proposition for you?” she explained.
“And that would be what...?” Khan frowned, uncertain how to refer to her.
“Molly Hooper,” Molly suppled as she offered him her right hand.
Khan shook her hand firmly. “And what exactly is it that you propose, Molly Hooper?”
Molly’s reaction was a shiver of delight. Due in part in hearing someone refer to her by her true name. But also that it be said in that deep, rumbling rich tone that made her toes curl.
Taking a deep breath, Molly tilted her head up so that she was looking straight into his intensely beautiful blue-green eyes.
“There is no stopping the fate that will befall you. In the next couple of hours you will die, the trajectory is fixed and set in that direction,” Molly paused, and in a measured tone she advised him. “However, rather than escorting you’re damned soul to Hell, I can offer you an alternative – you could work with me. The choice is yours.”
Khan carefully considered her words, and her offer.
“Why would you do this?” he asked softly.
With complete honesty she replied. “Because this job requires some very difficult decisions, and I think the load would be more easier to bare with another’s assistance.” Then as tears began to well in her eyes, she continued, her voice becoming raw with emotion. “And because I’m lonely. And because I...”
Khan gently took her face in his hands. He could feel her loneliness, and her pain. As he gazed down into her big brown eyes, he found himself willingly drowning in their depths. It would have been so easy for him to exploit the unconditional love she clearly felt for him. But there was something about her that called to a gentler side of his nature that he didn’t know existed until that moment. So rather than fighting these new feelings, he chose to embrace them heart and soul. If his fate was to remain at her side for eternity, than he would regard himself a very fortunate man.
Holding her gaze, he lowered his head, and just before their lips met he whispered, “Because you love me.”
Molly was in pure bliss. The kiss was sweet and full of promise that her love would be returned. But it was brief, as events still needed to play out first.
Khan made his way back over to Admiral Marcus. But a curious thought had him turning back to Molly. “Two Angel’s of Death, is that even possible?”
“There’s nothing in the Rule Book that says that there can’t be – I checked,” Molly answered with a grin.
Khan responded to her grin with a wink. “See you on the other side Molly Hooper.”
*** Khan’s suicidal act of guiding the crippled ship to its end began with...
***
USS VENGEANCE – TWO HOURS LATER
The once great warship tumbled, burning internally, weaponless, without shields – but not entirely without control. Dragging himself to the forward console, a wounded but still functional Khan fought to make his orders heard above the crackle and thunder of instruments exploding and structural elements failing all around him.
“New destination!” he roared. “Starfleet Headquarters!”
“Engines compromised,” announced the voice of the ship’s computer, “Cannot guarantee we will reach intended destination, specified destination off-limits. Do you confirm order/?”
Khan’s one word response emerged as a snarl, “Confirmed.”
*
The USS Vengeance was in bad shape, trailing fresh flames as it struck atmosphere as it plunged towards the surface below, large chunks of torn and twisted metal, fiery internal components, and disintegrating pieces of its interior formed a wild trail of destruction. It fell rather than flew, almost completely out of control.
Almost...
*
Screaming past the Enterprise, the gargantuan metallic corpse that was to have been the late Admiral Marcus’s flagship to his envisioned dream of a militarized Starfleet hurled recklessly towards Earth...
As the ship ploughed down towards its destination, smoke began pouring from its crippled engine nacelles.
Though the consequences of his doomed ship’s arrival would be devastating enough, it did not strike precisely where Khan had hoped. As if by a giant hand, the ancient monument that was the prison on the island of Alcatraz was scraped clean from its rocky promontory. The collision was just enough to critically slow the vessel’s descent and alter its intended trajectory. Instead of smashing into and through Starfleet Headquarters, it plunged into the bay.
Its momentum, however, was sufficient to send it through the water and slashing into the city bay-front. Tower after tower succumbed to the sickening impact, crumbling before the crushing mass, until the wreck of what had not long ago been the most powerful vessel in Starfleet’s arsenal finally came to a grinding, groaning halt.
The concomitant wave that rose out of the harbour swept across the low-lying harbour front, inundating facilities, smashing apart landscaping, and tossing vehicles about like toys.
***
THE GOLDEN-GATE BRIDGE – A SHORT TIME LATER
There were numerous injuries and unavoidable deaths, but the greater carnage Khan had hoped to inflict did not occur. The slightest of maladjustments that had affected the intended course of the warship’s death dive meant that many more survived who would otherwise have perished.
*
Molly looked down on the scenes of devastation below her, noting with satisfaction the countless number of untold acts of heroism, bravery and sacrifice taking place in its wake.
“You’re doing I take it?”
There was no malice in his tone.
Of course he’d noted the change in direction of the Vengeance’s descent, an act of God, or in this case, a benevolent intervention from the Angel of Death.
She turned and grinned as she noted just how delicious Khan looked in his new apparel.
“Call it my little gift to humanity.”
Khan began fidgeting with his robes, attempting to stretch them out so that they would fit a little less snugly than they did currently.
“Do they really need to be so tight,” he grumbled.
Molly’s gaze wandered over his broad and powerful frame, her admiration more than clear. “Yes,” she playful responded.
Khan shook his head in resignation.
“Come on,” Molly said, suddenly all business. “There is work to do.” She paused briefly, before adding. “With one in particular I’m certain you’ll enjoy dealing with.”
“Lead on,” Khan said with a smile, feeling genuinely invigorated and eager to begin this new unexpected stage in his existence.

By the way still planning on ruling the world or plotting can’t remember which but we will get their with our fics! This awesome funny, hilarious person beta’d this fic which I hope, I hope lives up to everything. anyway to my beta @littleplebe HERE IT IS PEOPLE!
It was early morning when Steve and Bucky came in from their daily morning run, all tall, sweaty, gorgeously built men slightly puffing from their 15 km run. Sam hunched over, trying to drag air into his lungs. “You guys do this to me all the time, god… damn you both! I can’t breathe, I can’t move!” He collapsed on the floor. “I’m dying! I’m dying!”
Chuckling at Sam lying on the floor gasping for air, Bucky teased, “Sure you are, birdy!” He walked into the kitchen to get started on breakfast. It was his turn on the roster of kitchen duty. As he bent down getting all the pans, knives, chopping boards and the ingredients needed for what he was going to be cooking, he asked Jarvis to wake the others and notify them about breakfast.
Only a select few of the Avengers could cook. Steve, Bucky, Nat if she ever felt inclined to, which wasn’t often, and Bruce. The other person was Darcy, who was not an Avenger but her food and deserts were legendary.
While Steve prepared the pancakes, Bucky worked on scrambled eggs. He chopped the onion, bacon, tomatoes, cracked the eggs, added milk and a bit of butter, His left hand quickly whisked all the ingredients in a bowl Once the pans were hot, they started to cook.
“Jarvis, can you heat up the oven please?”
“Of course sir!”
Bucky heard the sound of the ovens turning on and watched the pans while waiting for everyone to arrive.
The smell of scrambled eggs and pancakes brought in Nat, Darcy and Thor with a struggling Jane behind him. The scientist was still in sleep mode and mumbling science equations under her breath. Next came Bruce, also drowsy from the all nighter he had pulled with Jane and Tony.  All threw a half-hearted good morning to each other before grabbing a glass of juice or a mug of coffee to start their day.
Sam, having just recovered from their morning run, got up from the floor and greeted everyone before heading off to his room to have a shower before breakfast. He walked a bit bowlegged, which made Bucky look up and smirk.
Rhodey and Pepper ambled in. Pepper had her power suit on for her meeting with her team in the morning before she was due for a conference with Stark Industries’ board for their annual meetings.
The last person to shuffle in was Tony, hair all over the place, eyes half lidded, with two posted notes on his face which he didn’t seem to notice. He made a beeline for the coffee machine, simply grunting at everyone as a form of greeting.
Plates and silverware were placed on the table; Sam and Nat started removing the food from the oven, placing them on the table; and Bucky finished the last lot of bacon in the pan. Steve flipped the last pancake and placed it on the already towering stack. Making sure everything was on the table, they moved to take their seat when the vent above him popped open and out dropped Clint, looking like he’d just woken up, hair tussled, yawning and rubbing his eyes. When his eyes landed on Bucky, he reached into his jacket and pulled out a booklet which looked like it had been stapled together. He handed it to Bucky with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
“Here’s a list of all the stupid things Steve has done while you were gone!”
All conversations at the table stopped, eyes wide and forks with food hovering in the air, every gaze fixed on Clint and the two super soldiers. Grinning like a loon with a death wish, the archer quickly went and took his seat at the table, greeting everyone and piling food in his plate, making sure it rivaled the mountain of food set before Thor.
Nat looked between Steve and Bucky with open interest. She nudged Clint and tilted her head towards the two men yet to sit at the table, her amused eyes silently asking ‘what is that booklet?’ Clint simply winked and tapped his nose in a secretive gesture.
Steve gaped at Clint, then at Bucky, seeming nervous to utter a single word. Bucky frowned and turned the booklet over to see Clint’s recently uttered words in block letters like a title. Underneath, it said, ‘Written by Agent M. Carter, Howling Commandos , Col. C. Phillips. Edits by N. Fury, Agent M. Hill and Agent N. Romanoff.
Bucky’s mind was going a mile a minute, his brain trying to compute what the hell kind of things the list would reveal. His Winter Soldier side scoffed at the silliness, thinking this was the most ridiculous thing he had heard of! But his Bucky side, once he had skimmed down the detailed list, tried to calm his mind down, reminding himself to take deep breaths, to force the air from his lungs, to breathe in and out. In his poor mind, the Bucky from forties was in shock but also wanted to stare really hard at Steve and give him a scolding.
No, that won’t work on Stevie, Bucky thought. I need to do what Steve’s mom used to and cuff him over the head for his stupidity.
“Bucky? Buck?” Steve’s worried voice sounded as if from a distance.
Bucky looked up at his friend, his expression changing from cool best bud to dark and stormy like the Winter Soldier in a span of a few seconds.
“You okay, Buck? You need to breathe?”
Not realising he was holding his breath, Bucky took in an unsteady breath. He locked eyes with Steve and finally spoke, forgetting their audience, “What’s this, pal?”
Steve looked nervously at the booklet. “Um… I don’t know.”
“Whaddaya mean ya don’t know, you punk?”
Steve looked shocked at Bucky’s tone, then narrowed his eyes. “Means I don’t know, ya jerk.”
Both glared at each other. Then Bucky shoved the booklet under Steve’s nose and demanded, “Then why does it say Here Is A List Of All The Stupid And Moronic Things Steven Grant Rogers Has Done While He Was Captain America?”
Steve gaped at the booklet like a fish out of water, mouth opening and closing, eyes wide as they carefully read the title and the names below it.
Bucky was on a roll as he continued, “Why does it say written by Agent. M Carter? Huh! And Howling Commandos? Col. C. Phillips? What the hell, Steve?”
Steve’s mouth was set in a comical O. He shook his head in denial, trying to form words to answer Bucky. At that moment, an old memory hit him like a bullet. A conversation between Peggy and Gabe, long ago, when they were planning an assault on Schmidt's base in the Alps. They were all sitting together, laughing and joking, when Gabe teased,  “Wouldn’t it be funny if we made a little booklet on the stupid things Cap has done since he rescued us?” Everyone snorted and Peggy shook her head before letting loose a smirk which hinted that she might already be planning on making such a silly list! At the time, Steve had thought Bucky would have liked that even though it would have gotten him into trouble! Now, though, after having done several more ‘stupid things’ as they said, Steve wasn’t so sure about Bucky calming down so easily and seeing the humor in it.
Steve shook the memory from his mind and realized Bucky still stood before him reading the booklet. Steve couldn’t believe they did it. The loons actually made the list! They actually sat down with each other and wrote all the crazy things he did, with a few updated things added. Mind racing, yet his breathing staying calm, he oh so slowly backed away from Bucky, knowing what was going to come. He decided a quick getaway was in the cards, knowing Bucky was reading the list, he backed further and further away.
His stupid shoe made a squeaky noise and Steve sighed in frustration, wanting to burn his shoe into nothing but ash. He looked up as Bucky’s head slowly glanced up, eyes blazing, mouth turned in, eyebrows scrunching up. Bucky slowly counted one to ten in his head before saying incredulously, “It’s twelve pages, Steve, twelve pages!” He looked down and when he looked up again, Steve had made more progress in moving away from him. “It’s double sided, Steve! DOUBLE SIDED!”
Steve stayed where he was. “Ah hehe,” he tried to laugh it off, pulling the innocent smile he used on all the ladies in the neighbourhood, the smile that got them both out of trouble a few times back in the day when they were kids. That smile could get him away with anything and everything; all he had to do was the “aww shucks ma’am” routine and bam! The little old ladies didn’t know what hit them. Even Bucky’s own Ma didn’t catch on till Stevie’s Ma talked to his, and then little Steve and Bucky didn’t get away with some of their stuff anymore in his home.
“Now Buck, it’s,” Steve started eagerly. “It’s not that bad, really. Only a few... just a few things I may have done? Nothing like near death experience!” He moved to put himself past the table and behind Darcy who was raptly watching the morning’s entertainment.
Bucky took murder struts closer to Steve and the table, waving the booklet that he got turned to page 4, or was it 5? Who cared? “Nothing near death?” Bucky’s voice rose. “Not too bad?... Just a few things, right? So jumping out of a plane while said plane was being shot at isn’t near death? How about signing up for an experiment program without knowing if you will live to see it through or DIE?”
“Now hang on a minute,” Steve interjected quickly. “That was Dr. Erskine and he was confident.”
“Confident, eh? His only other test subject was Red Skull and if I remember correctly, his SKULL WAS RED! AND HE HAD ANGER MANAGEMENT ISSUES PLUS BEING INSANE! Oh but wait there's more! YOU CRASHED A PLANE IN THE ARCTIC? WHEN DID YOU LEARN TO FLY A PLANE? Look at these, Stevie, look at them! This is insane!” He waved the booklet around everyone at the table.
They were all watching the scene like a tennis match, eyes flitting back and forth, seeing who won each point. Tony was so riveted, he had asked Jarvis to slyly keep score. Clint wiggled giddily in his seat and smiled while shoveling food in his mouth.
“I didn’t! I just took a guess is all!” Steve stammered, fidgeting under his best friend’s furious gaze.
“GODDAMIT STEVE!” In a bid to calm down, Bucky closed his eyes. “And don’t you dare move from that spot, you punk! I’m not through with you!” He remembered something and his eyes opened in a glare. “YOU JUMPED OUTTA PLANE WITH NO CHUTE YOU ARE A GODDAMN MORON!”
Steve, looking suitably ashamed, nodded his head. “Okay, that one I admit was stupid but it was in the middle of the ocean it was reckless I admit.”
“Oh, reckless now, is it? Didn’t ya Ma tell ya to not be so damn stupid? You could have died, you have a death wish huh, Steve? Jeez, you have more sense when I’m with ya than when I’m not!”
“Look at this, STEVE parachuted (on plus side, he used a parachute!) into the middle of a pissing contest between Iron Man and Thor; argued with a somewhat unstable narcissistic philanthropist playboy genius to the verge of fighting him in armor; nearly plunged to death off back of helicarrier, but managed to hold on by one tiny strap while dodging bullets; broke into super top secret Phase 2 SHIELD weapons storage (should have been guards there); aced down an entire squad of alien army guys and got blown out window to crash onto car; let Tony Stark blast shield with repulsor rays in hopes they would bounce off and hit baddies (yay! it worked even tho we had no time to practice/test that); and this one has to be my favourite of all -- elevator fight, 10 men and one hand behind his back most of it, then elevator JUMP through girders to marble floor nearly 150 ft below with only shield to dampen fall.” Bucky paused and turned wide eyes to Steve. “WHAT POINT IN YA GODDAMN MIND MADE YOU THINK JUMPING OUT OF A LIFT WAS OKAY?”
“I had no choice--”
“No choice! STEVE, YOU ALWAYS HAVE A CHOICE! IT’S JUST THAT IT ENTERS YOUR BRAIN BUT IT WON’T COMPUTE!”
“IF YOU’D LET ME FINISH, YA JERK! I HAD NO CHOICE! THEY HAD HYDRA SWAT COMING DOWN THE HALL TO THE LIFT AND I HAD NO WAY OUT. JUMPING OUT WAS MY ONLY OPTION!”
Both of them huffed and puffed, staring each other down, too furious to say words. Bucky threw the booklet on the table and moved toward Steve, who jerked and darted away as Bucky chased him around the table.
It was a funny sight, one man trying to escape and the other trying to catch and whack him hard for his stupidity. Not really hard, but to cuff him over the head for being a moron and to make up for what his Ma couldn’t do! God bless her soul, she would be rolling in her grave for sure at Steve for being so careless.
The rest of the Avengers watched  with varied degrees of shock and amusement while their food sat uneaten.
Clint giggled like a loon and said to Nat, “Wanna bet Barnes gets Stevie good?”
Nat, looking on in her Black Widow way, side-eyed Clint. “How much you willing to bet?”
Tony, having heard them, piped up, “Hang on, hang on, are you saying that Barnes will be the winner of this esteemed fight, not our fearless leader?”
Clint smirked as if he was seeing dollar signs before his eyes. “Yes, got something to say about do that, Tony?”
Pepper looking between the three of them. “Tony, don’t you dare!” she warned. “Every bet you go into with Clint and Nat you never win! And I have to listen to you whine and complain for three weeks, Tony! THREE WEEKS!”
Tony looked affronted. “But...but Pep, I can’t not support our Cap!”
Clint and Nat were grinning like a grinch at Christmas time. “Scared, Tony?” Nat asked slowly, chewing on her piece of bacon.
“No! Jarvis you will look after the bet and the money.”
“Of course, sir.”
“I bet 150 on Cap to kick Barnes’ ass!”
Clint rubbed hands together. “Oh yeah, 250 in favor of Barnes, Jarvis!”
“Of course. Anyone else want to place a bet?”
“Goddamnit, Tony!” Pepper looked pissed with each minute passing by.
Rhodey looked on in equal horror and entertainment. “Now I can’t let you say that without backing my buddy! Jarvis, make note, 100 on Cap!”
“Noted, sir.”
Thor laughed. “This is the best entertainment I’ve ever had during a meal” Smiling widely at Jane, he asked, “I would also like to make a bet my love, do you approve?”
Jane was shoveling food into her mouth and chewing while muttering equations. She took a while before her head came up and said, “Hmm what...what?”
“Tony, Rhodey and Clint have made a bet that either Barnes or Steve will win this mighty battle, was wondering if I could make one?”
“Oh ..um? 200 on Steve.”
“Oh a good suggestion, mighty Jarvis, I would also place 500 Asgardian gold coins!”
“No, no! Jarvis, place 150 US dollars on... who did you pick?”
“Oh, can’t I use Asgardian coins?”
“No, Thor. Asgardian currency doesn’t work here!”
“Such a shame. I was going to pick mighty fair Steven!”
“Jarvis! Please can you?”
“Done, of course, Dr. Foster”
Sam was looking on in amazement. He grinned and said, “100 on Steve please, Jarvis.”
“Done, sir.”
Darcy was trying not to daydream and moon over the hot men chasing each other around the table. “200 on a draw!” she said.
Everyone looked at her in disbelief.
Tony complained, “That’s not fair!”
Bruce said, “I’m not getting involved.”
Tony and Clint whined, “Please come on, it’s not fun without you!”
Bruce sighed, giving in. “Fine. 50 on Barnes! Okay can I get back to my food, please?”
Tony and Clint jumped in their seats. “Pepper, darling Pep, are you going to…?”
“No Tony! You know betting isn’t my thing! 50 on Barnes, Jarvis.”
Tony stared at her, stunned and betrayed. “You? You went against me!”
Pepper smiled. “I did it to teach you a lesson.”
Nat, still not having bet, said, “250 on a draw, Jarvis.”
“What?” Clint exclaimed. “You can’t do that!”
Natasha looked over at Clint with her murder stare. “I can and I just did!”
Clint sulked while going back to the action going on around him. “It’s not fair.”
Steve took a chance and ran for the lifts; Bucky noticed the slight change in direction and did an impressive leap over the table and over people’s head to go after him, yelling, “YOU CAN’T RUN OR HIDE FROM ME, STEVE! I WILL GET YOU, MARK MY WORDS!” He caught him before the entrance into the hallway and with his strength on display pulled him back in a wrestling move to the floor. Everyone at the table all stood in shock, including Clint with mouth open and food tumbling out, stood to watch as the two very grown and adult men wrestled like 4 years olds over a toy or the last piece of Mrs. Barnes or Mrs. Rogers’ cake. Grappling with each other... hits, kicks, and punches thrown in with the occasional grunt.
Their Brooklyn accent came out as they yelled at each other and Tony asked if Jarvis was recording this for movie night in the future.
“Of course sir, would I ever let you down?”
Thor said to Jane, “This is the best breakfast I have ever had, we should do this more often!”
Darcy finished her food and looked at the two men she had a crush on for so long! It wasn’t everyday you see your crushes get all annoyed, mad, pissed to the point they were fighting on the floor. Everyone got up and cleaned everything up, leaving them some food for when they finished their little fight.
One everyone went their separate ways, both Steve and Bucky slowed down to a stop. Exhausted, they stayed on the floor, looking at each other. “This is why you don’t ever do missions without me! I stop your stupid from taking over and making you do moronic things!” panted Bucky.
Laughing at each other, Steve nodded. Nat, walking by, shot them a grin and said, “ You really think, Steve, that all that stuff would only take 12 double sided pages? Really? Oh Steve, we have so much more to share with everyone!” Smiling serenely, she turned around and walked out with a spring in her step, calling out to Clint to wait up.
Bucky looked at Steve as if to say what! Darcy coughed to let them know they weren’t alone. “We left you some food on the table. Just make sure you clean up after yourselves!” Smiling at the both and praising herself for not making an absolute fool of herself, she sauntered out of the room not noticing the two soldiers watching her walk away. Two dreamy sighs were heard as they watched the one person whose opinions mattered. Darcy Lewis made them feel warm and homey.
Bucky laughed at the expression on Steve’s face. “You’re mooning again, punk, stop it.”
Steve huffed in annoyance.“I’m not mooning, you are.”
“Am not, you are.”
“No, you!”
“You!”
“You!”
They glared at each other, not moving. Then, sighed and pulled each other up from the floor and walked to the table to have their hot breakfast.
Bucky chewed his food and said, “I know you love her, ya punk. Just make a move!”
Steve sighed. “I will. Just let me get a chance to work up to it!”
“What in heaven's name do you have to work up to? Just walk down there and tell her how we love her to bits and bits! And want to date her that will lead to an Asgardian marriage and then little Darcy/Steve/Bucky toddlers running around getting into mischief like we did!”
“If you’re so confident of saying all that to her then why don’t you do it?” Steve challenged.
“Cause I’m a deadly assassin and she wouldn’t like to hear it from me.”
They stayed there for a long time, arguing over who should go down there once they are done to ask out their dream girl.
