This from our Super Hero RP, shameless ripoff off Miraculous in some aspects, and including people who can turn into animals because I love that.

Sasuke is a lone reporter who just turned Half, which means he’s now to deal with being able to become a cat at will. It’s a big change in his life, and very rare for people to turn as an adult. He thus decides to experiment with his new body, and adopts a more care-free attitude when in his Catporter persona, filming Villain and Super fights to write articles about later.

Maru is Sasuke’s shy neighbour during the day, and B-rank Super during the… day, too, because he actually sleeps at night. As a Super, he can spin a wheel of powers, which come somewhat randomly but with some perks. He’s mostly known as an analyst, and greatly admired by good reporters. What no one knows is that one of his Spins turns him into Cobra, a fearsome S-ranked Super with spectacular abilities.

Review: Fury by Cat Porter

ARC kindly provided by author. OMG! I have no words... Cat Porter is a magician! This is my first read by this author and I can't believe I haven't read any of her books until now. Huge mistake that has to be rectified. MC romance is my thing and I've read hundreds, and hundreds of MC romance books, but this one has to be in the top 5! It goes straight to my favourites. It's really hard to write a review without revealing anything, and I don't want to write more than I have to because it would spoil everything for other who will read it. I can say that Fury is an emotional journey spanning over twenty years. It is a story of love, family, second chances but also a story of dark places you sometimes find yourself in. At times it was hard to read. I had to set my Kindle aside a few times, but all together, I haven't slept at all. Read it in one sitting because I could not put it down. I loved how nothing was rushed and everything was so unexpected. You literally have idea what will happen and how it will end. If you love MC romance I am positive you will enjoy this. Book is told in dual POV and it contains scenes of rape, abuse and consensual f/f/m scenes. This book left a huge impact on me and I can't stop thinking about it. Cat, what have you done? This is for mature readers only! Graphic sexual situations and trigger warnings. Some situations may not be comfortable for all readers.

Random and  Rare (Lock & Key #2) by Cat Porter

Review:

I’m always a little hesitant to read books that are prequels to series or those told from the POV of another character of the same events.  There is that concern that instead of adding more depth to the existing story it will simply rehash the same events over and over with nothing new to bring to the table, but that isn’t what happens with Random & Rare, it really does give a better understanding of the events that led Grace to where she is when we meet her in Lock & Key.  There are a few moments that are rehashed, but they are the moments that are pivotal to Dig and Grace’s relationship and being able to know what motivated Dig to do what he did was important and gave me a better understanding of them as an H/h, but the majority of his part of the book is really giving a more indepth look into who he is and his unflinching devotion to the club and his brothers.  This is what held my interest the most, I liked seeing his POV of his and Grace’s relationship, but in the end it was learning about him and the club that held my interest the most.

The last 30% or so is we get back to Grace and Lock and find them in a situation that I’d never wish upon anyone.  They aren’t doing so well and fighting to hold on to not only their relationship, but themselves.  I felt for both of them and honestly wanted to smack Grace upside the head even though I couldn’t blame her for her thoughts and actions.  But what I really did end up enjoying, and getting a little teary over, was how things came full circle at the end.  I thought it was well done and made karmic sense.

Overall: I’d love to say that I absolutely adored both Lock & Key and Random & Rare, but in the end I simply liked both books.  I enjoyed the story, though there were places that dragged for me, and liked the author’s voice throughout it.
