what’s the idea for purrminator ? Omegaverse? old man mercenary catboy (perhaps catman would be more appropriate)

Hehe, the name comes from a bad pun for catname for Slade: Deathstroke the Purminator.

Okay, the concept is that Slade is catshifter, changing shape helps him heal. After getting caught in an explosion, Red Hood finds him and takes him home to heal. Slade (secretly) enjoyed it and keeps going back (through various excuses). When while there, he slowly gets to know Jason, and respect/like him. I was thinking a structure similar to 5+1, appearances from bats (at least Stephanie) and family feels as well as something about how Jason handles his terratory (ie the Crime Alley). I haven't decided how common or uncommon being a shifter is, but at the very least, nobody suspects that Purminator (name Jason gives him, btw) is one and even less that he's Slade. I won't spoil how it ends here, but I do have ending in mind. Haven't actually written anything though, so no snippet to share, sorry.

I actually have an explanation as to why the descriptions are probably getting less detailed! The long and short of it is there is no official character bible/compilation that the Erins use as authors- I am not referring to the Cats of the Clans books, for clarification, as they do not include all living cats, their motives, personalities, things we shouldn't see as readers, and all deceased cats with the same parameters. Additionally, in the great before time, allegedly one of the Erin's admitted she used the fan-run wiki to reliably recall the histories of certain cats. (I am unable to find a source on this, but I do recall seeing the post itself. It is not out of the question that I'm misremembering or the post has been deleted.)

The wiki, after it gained popularity, is (or was) how the authors got their information regarding the appearances of cats, which is why you find original series cats get conflicting descriptions, on top of wiki admin drama a few years back wherein it was a complete mess and abuse of power. After the particular admin stepped down, we received pages like the current ones. O.G. Firestar's page also has a ton of descriptors. And here is current Firestar's page.

TLDR: Fandom drama is, in part, why the descriptions are so short now, as they weren't really meant to be paragraphs long, and hopefully, part of it is the Erins are probably getting their ducks in a row after 2 decades.

If you thumb through some of the original cats on the wayback machine prior to 2019-ish, you'll see plenty of these long descriptions. (Be warned, not all cats have pages saved, be sure to think of popular ones to try this. Also, make sure you use warriors.wikia.com/catname URLs and not warriors.fandom.com/catname, as the site domain was migrated, and you'll only find the short, new descriptions.)
