Cathedral

Cathedral is the fourth Fusion Band! They are celestial themed.

Cathedral, is a rather holy fusion band formed by Taz Ellis, Jude Heilig, Gray Mashhit, and Valor Belladonna. Cathedral is often confused with the band Oh Holy, but thanks to Gray and Valor, this band focuses on a much darker feeling than its holier counterpart.

Mission 3 europäische Hauptstädte an einem Tag, um ein bisschen den und vor allem die innere/n Reise-Nerd-in zu füttern. Und, weil' s eh am Weg liegt: Wien- Bratislava am viel zu frühen Morgen, nach einer leider doch wieder viel zu langen Nacht im Zweiten Bezirk und bei dauerhaftem eiskalten Sprühregen. Gut, dass es diesen netten auf Tee spezialisierten & wörtlich bombensicheren Kuschelkeller im ebenso wörtlichen Underground der Altstadt als letzten Fluchtpunkt vor der Weiterfahrt nach Budapest gibt. Bratislava dürfte mehr als unseren kleinen Stopover-Besuch wert sein, scheinbar auch vom Nachtleben her, hat uns aber kulinarisch wie sonstig mehr als gnädig in Empfang genommen.

Hat leider nicht mehr gereicht, um bis zum & und auf das legendäre sozialistisch- modernistische Wellblech-Ufo über der Donau- Brücke zu kommen. Aber für ein gutes Bild mit Stadtmauer, Kathedrale und dem dreibeinigen Herrscher im Hintergrund hats zumindest gelangt..

I hate game modders that follow a parlor philosophy. I really do. They showcase everything wrong with intellectual property distilled down into clownish Mini Me's, without even a profit motive to explain their actions. If you're going to take your ball and go home because someone hurt your feefees, don't bother coming in the first place. We have cathedrals to build here, and if credit, recognition, and a chance to improve something for others isn't good enough for you, why are you here in the first place?

Recommendations for optimising the world. I advise and even insist that you use with this world mods Nraas:Master controller,nraas Overwatch,nraas Register,nraas Traffic.(Links to them do not give, I think they have you and so all installed):)Optimise the world with these mods: remove unnecessary transport, generated by the game stray animals, paparazzi and tourists. The world is released in betta version as it was little tested (and I will not have such an opportunity in the near future, so I put it out to you earlier than planned).

I used the Flycam mod to go to the Black City.

Ever since I first played Origins 13 years ago, I've been curious about how the devs represented the Black City in the game. There are a few main masses, and they generally look equidistant from most areas of the Fade. But I noticed a long time ago that when Sloth sends you to your personal nightmare in the fake Weisshaupt in Broken Circle, one of the Black City islands looks way, WAY bigger. I just happened to be playing that section today, and I'd been using the new Flycam mod to take some screenshots. It occurred to me: why not see the throne of the Maker, and find out if it is empty? 

I was interested in this mass of 6 islands, which appears from different angles in different sections of Sloth's realm.

It takes a LONG time to get here, even with flycam. About 5 minutes realtime. but it's worth it. It was so cool but I was also unexpectedly and HUGELY creeped out. The half-rendered textures feel like something out of a weird nightmare, the lighting is strange, and some sections are completely hidden in mist until they loom over you. And the creepy Fade music was playing over the top of everything.

Getting closer, the structures become clearer. This one looks kind of industrial and factory-like:

The highest island has these long strings coming down from it, almost like a deep sea squid.

The main mass is GIGANTIC, so big I couldn't get it in one screenshot. It's like a huge capsized ship, like the titanic. Or like a massive eldritch sea creature mid-dive with its tail flipping up. Somwhere between organic and mechanic. It's honestly SO CREEPY. Also I have megalophobia and this thing was setting it off BIG TIME.

This thing is so big that the perspective got really confusing and it was sending the camera HAYWIRE. It kept shaking and pinging around. This is looking vertically down:

Next I was interested in this guy way off to the left, who looked like he had some cool structures. We shall call him: genie lamp!

The structures here are far more uniform and city-like. They reminded me of cathedrals and cloisters. Honestly the atmosphere here was neat. The models are obviously low-poly but the fog kind of obscures that, the lighting is almost pretty (although sometimes it hit weird and creeped me out again). I love my lil dark academia genie lamp. This is like if Hogwarts went to hell (which, granted, it kind of has considering everything going on right now).

Anyway I guess I have the Blight now. Corypheus and me can be buddies.

yes - also including tailchaser’s song, varjak paw, mrs. frisby and the rats of nimh, the plague dogs, wolves of the beyond, dogs of the deadlands, etc. all of which were inspirations for cathedral’s current iteration

The neutral female animations from Realistic Animations Project are honestly the only movement animations I've seen that actually look like the male counterpart animations, but it's LE only and the (still active) mod author refuses to port it/let anyone else publish a port

I am so sick of every single animation mod being 'feminine this' or 'feminine that.'

What's up guys, update just dropped! It sure is something to try and decipher, huh. We've got pages of new stuff to go over, so let me learn you a thing about all the events and mishaps that happened on the server this week!

Did I get you last week? Server's not closed, it was just down for maintenance! Residents rejoice when the server reopens, celebrating with volleyball, dungeon looting, and the Nether open? That's right, QBLR has opened the Nether! Complete with modded biomes and mods, residents get to exploring right away!

With the Nether opening, a few problematic mods will be removed soon, like Fantasy's Furniture. Some residents opt for that male living space vibe, while others begin redecorating without the upcoming furniture mods added.

A new creature is found! From the depths of the visceral heap to a loving family, this egg's name is Grimm. Grimm is a nether native.

Bigger dungeons are found, including this massive cathedral dungeon. This is actually two separate cathedrals. Who on earth.

With the Nether opened, wither fights can begin! They are less intimidating than they seem with how powerful the residents are, and now residents can access beacons. Seriously, even the creatures are in full dark metal armor. It's hard to get more powerful than that.

And where would we be without our autistic minecraft behaviors?

It's June, and the server gets to celebrating Pride with some lovely stained glass! The cathedral dungeons, long since conquered, have beautiful stained glass windows. And Levlies has some beautiful rainbow glass as a helmet! What a nice celebration.

Some creatures get a little too excited to celebrate. How much alcohol can a baby drink, again?

Speaking of creatures, it sure would suck if something Bad happened to one! Really would be awful. Wouldn't that. . . uh. . . oh dear. Mozzarella, dear? You did win the creature contest, are you alright?

It seems that many folks are getting the message that something isn't quite right in the Nether. And it's not the aliens or the armor hoarding. No, there's some unidentified Thang in the Nether. And it has a house.

At least residents can loot overpowered dungeons for comfort. Or, uh, oh, that's another dead egg. Oh dear. Hivi, was it? You good hon? And, ah, it seems Sunny has passed as well. Is there something in the water? That's three deaths this week.

Let's all take a moment to breathe and laugh at the worldgen for this specific argilite well.
