I'm on my phone so I can't like photo edit and I won't bother but every time i must ask myself the question "who gave this post 400 notes" and I scroll back through my activity feed it is basically always my beloved mutual @fishing-lesbian-catgirl and it makes me imagine a non aggressive version of that tweet thread. Where that cat knocked down those onions.

Homestuck thoughts (omg I love homestuck homestuck beloved bbg)
THE ASK I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR FOR MONTHS YAY!!!!! I'm gonna format these in a (really long sorry lmao) list cause that's the most easily digestible format I feel :3
also I've only read up to not far into act 5 part 2 so there is admittedly a lot I don't know :P I definitely don't have the anything close to the most objective opinions on junk
JADE IS MY FAVORITE I LOVE HER!!!!! I threw together a crappy little jade cosplay once I made a little tail it was so cute :3. honestly Jade is the biggest motivator I have for actually reading Homestuck cause I love her sosoososo much and I'm really interested to see how she develops!!!!!! every day I wake up and the first thing I look at is a print of her on my wall I love you jade harley
speaking of characters I like I love nepeta SO MUCH and like 80% of the reason why I haven't read more Homestuck and choose to consume fan content instead is cause I'm scared for her to die :(
jadepeta is horrifically underrated (I know they don't interact really shhhh) and probably my favorite Homestuck ship :3!!!! doggirl catgirl yuri! they can be cringe together! they parallel each other in their loneliness!!!! they can help each other know that they ARE wanted and needed and loved!!!!! what more could you want!!!!!!!!
I love karkat a lot too :3 hes just like me fr too many emotions for his own good
oh I love June too!!!!!! just like me fr as well!!!!!!!!!
big davekat fan I am basic <3. however I do wish I could find homestuck fics that aren't focused on them lol
dunno how to feel about vrisrezi? I haven't gotten to the part in the story where they're more fleshed out and stuff. they seem uh? not great for each other? which is why I'm kinda surprised I see people shipping them so much. maybe they get better idk. THEY ARE SO INTERESTING THOUGH OH MY GOD. I WANT TO PUT THEM IN AN ENCLOSURE AND STUDY THEM I NEED TO LEARN ABOUT THEM MORE
I really really really like rosemary HOWEVER lots of fan content (specifically fanfiction I have found like 2 good rosemary centric fics) doesn't explore them really I feel and this makes me kinda sad :(. they're just the lesbians and are happy and love each other and that's great but their dynamic could be so much more!!!!!!! the competition!!!! them being at different levels of being invested in the relationship!!!!! rose not opening up to kanaya!!!!!!!! the drama!!!!!!
don't understand davejade :(. don't dislike it I just genuinely don't get it idk
not a vriska fan she is terrible (where I am at least) HOWEVER this doesn't mean I don't want to pop open her brain and examine her psyche
I think the only troll I just flat out hate and don't think is interesting is equius honestly? idk hes creepy :(. and racist :(. with some of the other trolls I go okay you are definitely very very VERY flawed. but I want to see why you are this way (especially eridan). with equius he's kinda just terrible and doesn't seem all that fun to explore. my opinion could change though maybe I haven't given him a fair chance :P
i think a really big reason why I'm so attached to the beta kids is cause they remind me of me and my bestest friends tbh
I have no opinions on the alpha kids honestly. just haven't gotten to where they're introduced and haven't looked into them that much :P. I think roxy's gonna wind up being my favorite of them though she seems so silly!
dont really care about dancestors for the same reason
I think my favorite thing about homestuck so far is how big the theme of loneliness is? especially with the beta kids (in my mind at least). like I don't think any of them mention friends besides each other and Jade literally lives on an island completely alone. I like how all the beta kids deal with this loneliness in slightly different ways too! and then troll society is so hostile that it's almost impossible to make meaningful connections. I'm just a sucker for when a group of characters are outcasts and weirdos but they find community in each other! :) gotta be one of my favorite tropes
another aspect I really like about Homestuck is how it takes things that exist in videogames only and adapts them to its world (captchalouges are the first example I think of)
my classpect is either witch of space, knight of space, or witch/knight of heart I cannot decide
I think I'm a prospit dreamer? but i'm not sure I really don't know all that much about derse and prospit
i kinda just pretend homestuck 2 doesn't exist frankly that is a whole can of worms I am terrified to open
that is all for now but I might add more opinions when I think of them later idk :3! dunno how much sense this list made but its ok sigh. interested to see which of these opinions change as I read more of the comic!!!!!

One more thing about chasers I think we're all forgetting: I don't think any of us, by which I mean my beloved mutuals and followers, are exactly the ones who have to deal with them? Most of you are bi or lesbian t4t catgirl perverts. Do any of you actually date cis men? Perhaps we should all check our privilege. Let's unpack the invisible knapsack. Yes I do think we oppress straight trans women.

My Personal F/F Book Rec List
being an entirely subjective collection of things I personally liked with reasons why I liked them and why you might like them as well!
Science fiction and fantasy
This is How You Lose The Time War by Max Gladstone and Amal El-Mohtar
Science fiction, time travel, epistolary, novella -- very short in all. Tight, poetic language. If you like star-crossed lovers and households both alike in dignity, no one is more star-crossed than rival time war soldiers Red and Blue. It is very romantic.
A Memory Called Empire by Arkady Martine
Do you like your lesbianism as a spice that flavors a dense political drama examining the machineries of imperialism through the lens of space colonization? Did you have a Homestuck phase in your past? You'll like this one. The romance is not the focus of the story, but it's there, and it's f/f.
A Master of Djinn by P. Djeli Clark
Honestly this book wasn't my favorite plotwise (a lot of situations where it seemed like the characters were less intelligent than the reader), but the main character is a lot of fun as a lesbian who wears suits in an alternate-history 1910s Cairo and has a cool catgirl girlfriend, and the worldbuilding and character dynamics were fun as well. Not that kind of catgirl. In a world where the discovery of djinn propelled Egypt to the top of the world stage about a hundred years ago, the guy who did that in the first place is suddenly back in town and murdering people. It's up to Fatma to get to the bottom of it!
Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir
Beloved by Tumblr, it's Lesbian Necromancers In Space! Another book for the Homestuck phase havers. Very very lesbian, although Gideon and Harrow... well they get together in a way... anyway it's about a space empire composed of 9 Houses of necromancy, and the house's representatives have to complete a series of trials to become Lyctors. Ancient Rome inspired but also full of stealthy meme references, if you enjoy the juxtaposition of elevated, old-fashioned language and "Did you know your name contains the words 'Sex Pal'", you'll like this one. The characters are just so fun. Gideon Nav is Horny Butch Representation.
Sawkill Girls by Claire Legrand
Supernatural horror thriller this one is not fluffy or cute it is dark and scary and also pretty long. Girls on Sawkill Rock have been disappearing for decades, and it's up to the new girl, the outcast, and the queen bee to figure out how to end the cycle for good. Also I'm pretty sure all of the viewpoint characters are girls who like girls? Themes of grief and trauma and also a big scary monster! Oooh!
Contemporary and Historical Fiction
The Paying Guests by Sarah Waters
In 1920s Britain, a young woman and her mother take in a lovely young married couple as their lodgers. And then there's a murder. Recommended for fans of murder mysteries and thrillers.
Fingersmith also by Sarah Waters
Inspiration for the film the Handmaiden by Park Chan-Wook (which transplants the Victorian setting to Korea under Japanese occupation), this is a story of cons and crimes and lesbianism! A lot of plot, eventual happy ending.
One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston
"Disaster bisexual" August just moved to New York to try going to college again, and she meets a hot girl in a leather jacket on the subway. The hot girl turns out to be from the 70s and trapped on the train forever for some reason... unless August can figure out how to help her! I like McQuiston's writing style, and I thought the descriptions of queer life in the city felt believable.
Afterworlds by Scott Westerfeld
Yes I had an Uglies phase in middle school that made me into an eternal Westerfeld stan leave me alone. Afterworlds is a pretty fun sendup of the YA publishing industry. Indian-American Darcy Patel wrote a YA book and got a book deal at 18, so she deferred college for a year to live in NYC and work on editing her first book and writing the second book. And then she gets writer's block, Manhattan is expensive, also, the fellow writer she eventually gets into a relationship with turns out to have her own dark and troubled past. It's really long because half of the book is the novel Darcy writes, but it works.
Pulp by Robin Talley
Part historical fiction about an imagined lesbian author of lesbian pulp novels from the 1950s, and part contemporary fiction about a teen activist researching said author for a project while still not over her ex. I like learning about queer history, and I thought this was a clever way to frame that kind of narrative and show why it's relevant today.
Tell Me Again How A Crush Should Feel by Sara Farizan
Iranian immigrant teenager is successfully dragging herself through high school without having to deal with liking girls until a hot new girl shows up and might be into her, maybe? Reviews saying said hot new girl is an over-the-top predatory bisexual caricature are I think somewhat valid, she didn't read as bisexual to me because I don't think she was actually interested in Leila at all besides as a source of attention but I can understand why that would be offputting to readers. Still, Iranian representation!

Tumblr media
After reading 200 books this year, I’ve decided to compile the top 10 that affected me the most--good or bad. It was extremely difficult to narrow this down, so I’ve also included several honorable mentions. No particular order.
1) My Lesbian Experience With Loneliness by Nagata Kabi.
A comic memoir about the author’s mental health, sexuality, and familial struggles.
I read this very early in the year and was stunned by its quality. It’s a memoir about an extremely difficult time in the author’s life, and discusses her various approaches to it. It doesn’t particularly feel like a traditional plot structure, and it doesn’t have to. I don’t think there’s another book this scattered that works such magic with its plot.
2) となりのロボット (My Neighbor, the Robot) by Nishi Uko.
The story of the relationship between a girl and her next-door neighbor, a robot.
I was whining about yuri one night, and, hearing my complaint that all yuri characters look like children, offered Nishi Uko to me. I picked up となりのロボット that night and didn’t put it down ‘til I’d finished it. Speculative fiction robot/human f/f romance using robotics as a subtle metaphor for the love between women? Was this written just for me?! It’s adorable and soft and exactly what I wanted, and I have now read everything by Nishi Uko available in English.
3) Queer Japan by various authors, trans. Barbara Summerhawk.
A compilation of stories and essays by and about LGBT people in Japan.
This is the third LGBT Japanese book on this list... well, I’m interested in Japan and I’m LGBT, so it makes sense. This one was published in ‘97 and covers the lives of several LGBT Japanese people. The themes I saw repeated throughout this text and the solidarity I felt with the authors led me to write INAI (querying.)
4) Whistleblower by Kate Marchant.
Laurel Cates is a people-watcher. She's determined to get through college without stepping on any toes or causing a scene, and so far, it's going pretty well. But when Laurel uncovers a scandal involving the head coach of Garland University's beloved football team, she knows she has to do the right thing.
A Wattpad book? Yes, a Wattpad book. I’ve never in my life read a Wattpad book that was on the level of a traditional published book until now. This book is uniquely addictive; I recommended it to @goose-books and he can vouch for that. Marchant is an artist and I could not be prouder of this book landing a Wattpad Books deal. I will absolutely be picking up a copy when it hits stores.
5) When I Arrived at the Castle by Emily Carroll.
Like many before her that have never come back, she's made it to the Countess' castle determined to snuff out the horror, but she could never be prepared for what hides within its turrets; what unfurls under its fluttering flags.
A lesbian horror erotica between a catgirl and a vampiress... I was concerned I’d hallucinated this when I read it the first time because it was exactly my sort of thing and surely Emily Carroll did not sit down and accidentally write exactly what I wanted to read. And yet she did, and I was almost mad that I didn’t get it on the first read. I reread it twice more in one night and am still chewing it over. It’s the kind of thing you want to own just so you can pick it up on occasion and remember it.
6) Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up With Me by Mariko Tamaki.
Laura Dean, the most popular girl in high school, was Frederica Riley's dream girl: charming, confident, and SO cute. There's just one problem: Laura Dean is maybe not the greatest girlfriend.
Is this the best graphic novel I’ve ever read? Honestly, maybe. The art (courtesy of Rosemary Valero-O'Connell) is absolutely gorgeous beyond belief; every page I wanted framed and hung on the wall. I considered buying this just to display it forever open on a shelf.
7) Once Upon Now by various authors.
A collection of modern-day fairytale retellings by Wattpad writers.
I found two copies of this in different Little Free Libraries within a week of each other, which says something on its own. Target held a contest for fairytale retellings, promising to publish the best ones, and you can tell. I genuinely considered becoming a book review/rant YouTuber just to talk about this book. This was supposed to help me understand what Wattpad Books might bring, but the two have nothing to do with each other and I’m still shocked Wattpad allows this text to exist in the open. The back advertises this real book that I don’t have the strength to read.
8) Artful by Ali Smith.
The girlfriend of a lecturer who passed away with unfinished work is haunted by the lecturer’s ghost as she narrates her journey through her girlfriend’s unfinished lectures.
I used she/her pronouns despite neither of the characters having pronouns beyond “I” and “you” in the text because this book is lesbian. It’s by a lesbian lecturer who’s lived with her partner for over thirty years, and it’s beautiful. I had to argue to the entire reading group that this was lesbian because it is. Contains multiple of my favorite quotes and has deeply changed the way I think about art, literature, and love. I cannot wait to use this, somehow, in my writing.
9) Save the Cat! by Blake Snyder.
That book everyone keeps recommending on how to write screenplays.
Thank God I didn’t read this book when I was just starting out. I actually wouldn’t recommend it to anyone just beginning, certainly not uncritically, because Snyder cares about one thing: money. And that’s fine! He will teach you to write a screenplay that appeals to all possible audiences. The question is, do you want that? His beat sheet is genius, and I am glad I finally read this, because now I can think about the whole of his advice in an educated and critical fashion.
10) The Fall of Language In The Age of English by Mizumura Minae.
Mizumura acknowledges the value of a universal language in the pursuit of knowledge, yet also embraces the different ways of understanding offered by multiple tongues. She warns against losing this precious diversity.
So, first off, the original Japanese title of this book was 日本語が亡びるとき―英語の世紀の中で (The Time When Japanese Falls: Inside the Age of English) and that was a banging title that they changed specifically because the English translation is expanded for the Western audience. There’s a fantastic balance between global and Japanese-specific discourse contained in this book, and I found that even when I disagreed with Mizumura I couldn’t deny her passion and intellect. Should be required reading for first-language English speakers.
The promised honorable mentions:
Patron Saints of Nothing by Randy Ribay made the National Book Award shortlist and I don’t want to say anything because I know the author and I feel like anything I say will be weird. It’s a good book; you ought to read it.
I read so much by Tillie Walden that I couldn’t fit just one book on the list. Please read her work. I have officially read all of her published narrative books as of this year and I couldn’t be happier.
O Human Star is a webcomic and it’s now accompanied me through several months of weekly page-refreshing at exactly 10:00 AM on Thursday to read the update. It’s about gay people and trans people and robots, and it’s better than I can describe.
I also read a lot of Ray Bradbury, as always. I likely only read two new stories in total despite reading several short story collections; at this point I’m surprised when I find something I haven’t read. Bradbury has a dedicated shelf at my place.
What Remains of Edith Finch is not a book and I don’t care. It’s a ‘walking simulator’ and therefore a narrative project and it’s gorgeous.
And I suppose that’s it for now! Quite a long list as is. Here come the songs.

Oc tags
Realized that I’m using tags for my ocs more and that I should maybe explain what they mean? The main four are for my characters I’ve played with in Masks: A New Generation, which is a game I highly recommend! It’ll be a pretty long post so I’ll cut it off here.
😇 #Birdcage is for Isodora Maleciel (she/her and they/them), the angel daughter of a very powerful supervillain named Event Horizon. She’s got statues of herself in many of the banks in the city, a decently popular propaganda CW-esque tv show about her and her daughter’s life, a fierce rivalry with the local speedster Swift Wind and Tech CEO Max Million, and of course a secret lair on the moon. Isodora looks suspiciously almost exactly like their mother, aside from their hair, which they dye a platinum blonde from its natural black. Other than that, her large black wings, green eyes, and black horns that wrap around her head like a circlet make her instantly recognizable to basically anyone in the city. She decided that she didn’t want to follow her mother and became the magic hero Astarte, using her sorcery to protect people no mater how they felt about her. They ended up marrying their three teammates, (Sabrina Spencer (she/her), Nova Moretti (she/her), and Hermes Shapiro-Vogel (ve/ver) (the child of Swift Wind), and they eventually have a very magical daughter named Talia (she/her) together. Isodora is a trans girl, is pan and also polyam! She loves her partners a whole lot and loves spending time with them, even if she doesn’t really understand what’s going on much. You can find my pinterest board for Isodora here! featuring art from my friend @liatrelle!
😇 😇 😇 😇 😇 😇 😇 😇 😇 😇 😇 😇 😇 😇 😇
🎮 #of course you have purple hair and lightning powers is my tag for Lucille “Elly” Lovelace (she/her), a purple haired twitch streamer, library makerspace manager, lesbian disaster, and pretty okay best friend. She spends her days working, hanging out with her very genderfluid bestie Olivia Efflorescence (they/them) who also goes by Ollie (she/her), or Liv (he/him), and definitely not fighting villains as the superhero Lady Lightning, a woman who wears an all purple power ranger-esque costume with lightning motifs and has electromagnetic powers. She also spends her nights not doing that as well as streaming as lightspeedluvlace. Elly and Liv found out about her powers when they were younger, and used it as an excuse to escape from their very shitty families and live together in Halcyon city. They’ve recently gotten pretty stable living situations, or well, Elly would if she wasn’t a workaholic who does way too many things at once. She’s recently met and formed a team with Talia Spencer-Maleciel-Shapiro-Vogel-Moretti, who has mysteriously been thrown into the past a few years before she was even born, Tiktok conspiracy star February “Freddy” Dawson (he/him), and Henrietta “Henry” Pawline (she/her) a petty jock catgirl. Elly has a bit of a crush on Talia, but worries about what that means if she goes back to the future. Her fursona is a purple bunny girl and she’s a little embarrassed that you know that now. She’s a cis lesbian, but in the “my gender is lesbian” way. Elly’s story takes place about eight years after Isodora’s.
🎮 🎮 🎮 🎮 🎮 🎮 🎮 🎮 🎮 🎮 🎮 🎮 🎮 🎮 🎮
♓  #manic jelly dream girl  ZOE MY BELOVED!!! Princess Threazoenine of The Myrine Dynasty (she/her) is from the planet Nalydea, a planet completely covered in water orbiting Pisces Alpha. She is a pink shapeshifting jellyfish alien who came to earth as part of a family mission to forge mutual defense pacts with other planets in case Nalydea is targeted, as they do not make any sort of weapons. Zoe fell in love with Earth almost instantly, and ran away during a press conference, to the annoyance of her parent and older sisters. She ran right into AEGIS Agent Bryce Gallant, who was eventually assigned to protect her when she convinced her family to let her stay on earth for a bit. Enamored with the superhero culture of Halcyon City, she decided to join Bryce’s team as  the hero Prominence. Bryce had been placed on a team with fellow hero school graduate who she very much did not get along with Æsh, and superhero mentee Jess Arora, who Zoe developed a very strong crush on. They then dated for about two weeks before having the messiest breakup ever. And then kinda mostly got back together. Zoe’s powers include: shapeshifting, star generation (including heat and gravity manipulation), flight, having a telepathically controlled hoverbike, no bones, no lungs, no heart, jellyfish venom, bioluminescence, being very easy to talk to, getting drunk from caffeine, and water manipulation. She also has a cool scar that she got from being stabbed by a sword protecting her family. Aside from Earth in general, Zoe loves dinosaurs (there are a bunch that live on Nalydea’s moon), fashion and wearing frilly clothes, kissing cute girls, and spending time with her friends. As an alien, she doesn’t really have a conventional gender or sexuality, but if someone explained things to her she would probably consider herself a girl and sapphic. Her pinterest board is right here! and I would love to link the commission I got of her from @smallpolar-bear!!!!!! Zoe’s story is set 29 years after Isodora’s, the same time period that Talia is from.
♓ ♓ ♓ ♓ ♓ ♓ ♓ ♓ ♓ ♓ ♓ ♓ ♓ ♓ ♓
🩸 #violet the teenage witch is the tag for my most recent character, Violet Chiwake (fae/faer), also known as the supervillain Vampire. Fae lives with faer aunt and her wife in Halcyon City after faer mother got scared that fae developed powers. Violet is a witch who uses blood magic, something that for the most part is not approved of by society. It’s not like Violet chose faer powers or anything. Fae was caught with faer mentor in the middle of a robbery and lied during faer trial that fae was tricked onto the wrong path and just needed a chance to fix things. This worked too well and Violet ended up at hero school with a bunch of people who fae is extremely wary of. Violet is goth, a femme trans lesbian, and very upset that faer life has become a disaster (teenage drama queen). Fae enjoys practicing faer magic, collecting interesting ear jewelry, being around people who don’t think fae should be in jail, and stealing valuables. Violet is also searching for faer best friend Selene Hellström (she/her) an extremely high energy fireworks themed villain who was sent off to boarding school by her parents. You can find Violet’s pinterest board here! (cw for blood makeup) Violet’s story takes place 15 years after Isodora’s.
🩸 🩸 🩸 🩸 🩸 🩸 🩸 🩸 🩸 🩸 🩸 🩸 🩸 🩸 🩸 🩸 🩸
I’ll probably mostly be talking about these four, and if you read this far uh. wow thank you I hope you enjoy knowing more about the girls in my brain!

Okay so. Fictional fantasy world, the first trio is set a little before the outlawing of magic as a practice. Daniel, character A, is a blue eyed, blond, pansexual nobleborn human from the north who ran away from home/his responsibilities as heir when he was in his late teens. He ran away with Emyr, character B, his first boyfriend. (Emyr’s a latira, so hes very short and red/gray—kinda the color of clay and stone)
they decide to travel south with a trading caravan, end up in the centerlands, decide that they have some traditional education in combat and should try their hand at being mercenaries
after a while they kinda fall into an on again, off again sort of relationship bc they work better as friends but they still love each other. Weird but it works for them
they end up meeting another human who joins the guild, Alex. Fae ends up joining their team and it takes faer a while to meld well with the two of them but it works out after a while. Fae’s aroace
they get a little older, daniel and emyr decide that theyre better off as friends. Theyre still kinda in love w each other tho
Then Rial comes along! (Character C) Dark brown hair, black eyes, light brown skin, kathay (shes a catgirl. Ill own up to kathays just being cat people.) Shes cupioromantic! Also super hesitant to connect and be emotionally vulnerable w the others bc magic is kinda taboo at this point in time and she doesnt want them to find out that she has it, so she acts p aloof at the beginning
daniel kinda osmosis-es her into the group despite her hesitation. There’s obvious pining on his part that rial kinda misreads as general friendliness, but emyr kinda helps to push them together, in his own jokey teasing sorta way
one near-death experience later, daniel and rial end up getting into a romantic relationship. Alex is back to miming throwing up every time daniel and his partner display excessive pda in front of faer
im contemplating having like. A moment later on when daniel tells rial abt emyr being his ex and still liking him and shes like “ok cool why not have TWO significant others” and having them like. Sit down to have a conversation abt bein a throuple
also rial and alex bonding over being aro in different ways my beloved
and then the other set is like. A thousand years later, after magic has died out in almost all of Edivitaer. Also in the centerlands but on the northern side, where the previous trio is on the southern side
MiKayla is character A in the second trio—kathay, blue hair, cool colored lighter skin, purple eyes, transmasc bi lesbian (lull uses they/he/lull) that got outed as trans while they were dating character B, Ariyana!
ari is a human from the southern most coastal city—dark skin, really curly hair, track star and stealth trans girl lesbian—and moved there when she was little. She met MiKayla through track (but he also plays basketball) and they dated for a little while, little under a year, before Ariyana realized that she was aromantic and that a romantic relationship wasnt really what she wanted, so they had a talk, broke up on good terms, still remain best friends. Ari is exceptionally fond of him bc of that time that they spent in a relationship making them super close, and while she might consider being in a qpr w MiKayla, she doesnt feel like its the right time for that so theyve settled on close friends
The following year character C, Kia—half kathay half human, black hair, really short, currently a junior, generally a quiet person—moves to town. Ariyana, then a senior, is assigned as Kia’s guide to the new school. MiKayla tags along
now, miki is the kind of person to fall in love with a lot of people really fast, so lull’s instantly enamored with this new, interesting person and immediately tries to become her friend. Extrovert adopting an introvert style.
its not a very long time until they end up going out, and ari is more than happy to see her friend in a happy relationship w someone they like
MiKayla, as the only openly trans person at school (even if it was against their will. Rip bad friends) and a friendly upperclassman (lulls a junior) ends up adopting a pair of queer sophomores into their friend group. Cas is questioning his gender at the time (ends up being a trans dude) and his friend, Bell, is genderqueer, aromantic, and bi! And very romance replused
theres like a little mini plot abt bell having a lot of angst over her romance repulsion, talking w ari abt it and figuring out she’s aromantic through ariyana naming the term. And cas has a crush on her, and ends up falling in love with her after they graduate, get an apartment together while cas goes to college, become fwb. Bell has a hard time after cas says hes in love with her, but they come to an understanding that cas doesnt expect anything but her friendship, and they end up staying fwb
if i had a nickel for every trio of ocs ive created where character A—mspec, has a light and/or colorful color palette, charismatic, tall, and masculine—used to date character B—also athletic, but shorter, with a darker color scheme, and longer hair—and they broke up but stayed on good terms and remained friends, and then A met character C—shorter than A, dark hair, more reserved—got a crush on C, B helped them get together BUT theres lingering feelings on B’s end partially bc it was their first real relationship but theyre still happy for A. AND ive considered making them a throuple. AND one of them is arospec. AND they have a romance averse aro friend. i would have two nickels. Which isnt a lot but its weird that ots happened twice
