Chill minecraft SMP with friends somehow ended up with catpeople and now we're here: my player character finally taking shape

Rambling under the cut

At 196 cm / 6'5" Mint towers over most of their kind, with the strength to back up their size. They're also a himbo about everything except for plants

They're a travelling botanist rotating between a good handful of villages to follow up on research projects and help ensure the next harvest turns out bountiful. They have a pet mule, Cocoa, who aids them in their travels

Currently, instead of travelling, they're settled in a small cherry grove. Primarily to research the ecosystem and learn more about how to conserve these small pockets of unique species, but also because there's some interesting weirdos around now who might need their help. You can never know!

Aside from anything plant-related, their hobbies include reading adventure novels (they borrow them from the villages they frequent) and kissing the evil wizard that lives on the mountain

Coffeetalk! A game that can be bought on steam. You make coffee/tea and live in a world of beings who arent exactly.. human.. You meet a flurry of people. A fae, catfolk, a vampire, an elf, a werewolf, aliens, and succubi!

This au follows the playthrough that Shelby Shubble did and can be found on her vods channel on youtube!

It diverges from canon, since its revealed that you(The Player) are an alien and related to a hive mind. This au instead follows the first Coffeetalk stream Shelby did, where Chat was discussing the possibility of the player being a witch

This au takes place in the universe of empires season 2/witchcraft smp. It follows a timeline of 13 years after s2 and 3 after wcsmp.

here's a list of my headcanons of the empires smp members as different races

lizzie and jimmy - fishfolk; basically walking fish ppl. lizzie is a deepsea variant and resembles an angler fish, while jimmy is a swamp variant and resembles a codfish. fishfolk have human forms and can transform into these forms when out of water. basically think of luca.

gem and fwhip - deerfolk; satyrs basically. they're known for their big antlers, long luscious hair, and their love for nature and magic. fwhip and gem are siblings (do not separate them!) and lived in the same herd until eventually leaving gor empires smp. fwhip was casted out due to his interest in explosives being unnatural. fwhip shaved his hair and clipped his antlers to cut his ties with his herd, while gem kept her hair and antlers.

katherine - mothfolk; a literal giant moth. they're about knee level and are fluffy. they have big black eyes, fluffy wings and atennaes, fuff on their neck, and a long thing black tongue to drink nectar from. they're well known for their connection of the overgrown. despite this and being a mothfolk, katherine never knew of the overgrown's existence and the role of the guardian. regardless, she hopes to live up to her role as guardian of the overgrown and protect her home like those previously.

scott and pearl - elves; scott is a winter elf while pearl is a spring elf. both grow antlers with scott growing elk antlers and pearl being able to grow moose antlers. both elves are known for their elegance and knowledge, especially with their knowledge in the dark arts.

joey - catfolk; catfolk were commonly known for being nomads, but ever since the creation of the lost empire, they've been known to living in pairs or a group. catfolk mainly come as big cats such as lions and tigers. joey however, is a savannah cat and is pretty small compared to his citizens. despite this, he's heavily respected and feared by many.

shubble - gnome; commonly called dire gnomes due to their relationships with dire wolves and for their belief in the wolf mother. but what they’re most known of is a rare ability that turns one into a wolf. though many believed to be power passed down due to a gnome being bitten by a wolf, many gnomes believe to have been a gift by the wolf mother, shubble is amongst the many gnomes born with this ability, whether she realized it or hasn’t awaken it yet is unsure. it is also unsure whether this gift may have been the cause of the corruption and the downfall of shubble’s old home.

So a little information on everyone in the smp and about them:

Feelz: walking cat, Cryptid childhood best friend, left for the main land and was adopted, his adoptive father was a General in the Creeper War so obvi he helped

Puttanesca: lived in Sunniva when the war started, never knew what it was like to have a king, has been a soldier in the Creeper War ever since he was of age, has a cool robot arm, good friends with Feelz

Witchy: was a princess of Droumudor, ran away from her home and took shelter with Feelz, no one knows she’s the lost princess or a shapeshifter

Buni: ex-assassin, killed someone important, just a farm girl now, emo

Bee: ancient being, lives underground, is v similar to the corpse bride but with black goop for insides, 10/10

Cryptid: just wanted to explore the world :(, phantom hybrid, manipulator

Wolf Warrior: self explanatory tbh, shunned cause they’re a wolf hybrid and the “devil” of the world is a wolf

And now to the lore H:

part I:

So it kinda all began with the Creeper War, a 30+ year old battle between Droumundor and Sunniva. At this time Cryptid was being a carefree pirate, Feelz was struggling to help his father, Puttanesca was fighting, Buni was having moral dilemmas, Witchy on the lam, and Bee in their little cave.

Feelz was struggling when he remembered a certain phantom hybrid friend and tracked him down, asking for his help to which Cryptid had reluctantly agreed. So now they were fighting in a war together, plus Cryptids crew!!

Disaster struck when Crytpid has gotten captured by enemy forces and Feelz father had been found dead.

Whilst captured Cryptid had began to lose hope in his friends and began to fall into a spiral of not being saved, which is where he meets the devil of the universe, who is able to manipulate the young hybrid into making a deal. Cryptid was later saved by Puttanesca which started their friendship.

Soon the final battle had come, many lives lost but in the end Sunniva had won and the kingdom was in a celebrating mood.

part II:

Feelz had held a speech and a ball of which he announced Cryptid to be his right hand man and talked about the war. Durning the reconstruction of their kingdom Feelz had found a child, specifically that of catfolk origin, with Witchy and decided to raise it. A few months go by and there has been the start of a romance between Cryptid and Buni and Feelz and Witchy.

Everything seemed to be going great when tragedy strikes, Feelz son, sage, was found dead. Puttanesca was blamed for the death and exiled him from the lands. Cryptid found this to be unfair and kept contact with him in secret.

Feelz is a little panicky now, one of his best friends had betrayed him?? Now being in the situation Feelz was in wasn‘t the best seeing as he had a kingdom to run, but the icing on the cake was that Buni was the one to kill his father.

Feelz had organized a public execution for Buni. He was there to make a speech while everyone watched, including Cryptid. Cryptid steps up and declares how he is siding with Puttanesca and how Feelz is being a unfair leader, he takes Buni and they fly off to Puttanesca‘s base.

part III:

Once Cryptid had got their he met someone else who Puttanesca had befriended and agreed to help their cause, a wolf warrior. So now they were their own little faction and were kinda ready to fight Sunniva.

Most of their attacks were like little parlor pranks, a few explosions, couple of bribes sprinkled in, etc..

The group had fought a few battles before a mutiny had arisen and they threw Puttanesca in jail, appointing the wolf warrior as their new leader.

In Sunniva Feelz had been struggling with his mental health due to his two most trusted allies had seemed to betray him, Witchy was the only one left.

Their first act as leader was to order Cryptid to go kidnap Feelz for his own public execution, with the executioner being none other than Cryptid.

After Feelz death the whole of Sunniva was put in a mourn, Witchy more than others cause Feelz and her had been wed.

The two factions had their final and biggest battle on the same valley where the final battle of the Creeper War was fought. Cryptid missing for most of it came at the last minute with some much needed back up and thus helped their side win the war.

they aren’t exactly a dsmp! sona but they’re my character for a smp i’m in, the b(ingus)smp! their name is Cryptid and they are a phantom hybrid, and their main lore is to be the “bad guy” which was decided by the god of the smp, Bingus. idk if i should go into the lore cause it’s a lot qwq
