It was only TODAY while watching Snughly's Castle Malloy stream that I realized the dollhouse was the miniature castle Malloy!!

She explained it live on stream, also just realizing. The upper floor is the secret room, the middle room is the library where Kyler sits, on the right is the nursery, left is corridor, and the bottom room is the big area where Kit is... I have not figured this out all of my life despite playing this game 10+ times.

The fact that HAU begins with Nancy unbothered by Ned scolding her for being on the phone while driving moments before she IMMEDIATELY crashes her car into a ditch makes this game immediately so hilarious to me

If I had a nickel for every time a video game had a setting with a secret rocket lab hidden in an old Irish castle I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice

so if you stay to listen in on kyler and kit's conversation after they fight, you can actually hear a continuation of their argument. it's pretty muffled and hard to hear, and it's spliced together to loop in different ways, but here's what i got out of listening to it for a couple minutes:

• kit says matt has a warped idea of marriage because of his parents' tumultuous relationship and he's probably projecting that onto kyler

• kit brings up the girl matt dated before kyler, maybe trying to imply that he ran off with her, but he backtracks when kyler gets mad and says that he didn't like his ex THAT much

• kit apologizes and promises to try to be more positive about the situation

• kit complains about the lack of electrical outlets in the castle

• kit talks about how many vegetables they've eaten since arriving in ireland, and says that might be why matt left (...foreshadowing?)

• matt apparently loves his toothbrush

• there's a pun about punchlines

🚨 Spoilers for the end of Castle Malloy 🚨

I just completed The Haunting of Castle Malloy and it left me with a question unanswered: WHERE DID THE ROCKET LAND? Nancy launched a whole decades-old rocket into the atmosphere. Where did it land?? if not in the ocean, it could have exploded on land and started a wildfire... but at least Kyler got her happy ending, I guess!!

Ah yes, the one toy all children keep on their desk, the clattering teeth with a pair of eyeballs. I was thinking that maybe it's the same toy, but Fiona is way older than Jane, and Jane's looks completely new.

However Jane is invited to the wedding and is sure to recognize that her and Fiona played with the same toy (probably created by Krolmeister). Also I'm pretty sure Nancy steals Jane's toy, I remember seeing it on Nancy's desk at some point.

HAU is the saddest ND game bar none in my opinion. Fundamentally so depressing!!!
