“So…where is this home of yours…?” idia asked as you led him to the yiyan temple. the male looks up at the temple in awe, “I-is this…?”

“We’re not there yet…” you smiled. idia tilted his head, “Then why did we stop here?”

“Look up.” you pointed up. the flame haired male looked up at the sky and to his surprise, there was a floating building high up into the sky. he had so many questions. how are they floating? are they using magic? what's the secret behind it?!

“H-h-how?!” idia gawked. you gently grabbed idia’s hand and lead him on a floating pillar, making squeak in fear and cling onto you.

“How about you just close your eyes and think of something that might overcome your fear of height?” you requested. just as you say, idia closes his eyes. he let out a soft squeak when he felt the pillar move upwards. it may not take long until you tell him to open his eyes, “You can open your eyes now…”

idia opened his eyes and find himself at the castle. he was still kinda nervous about staying on high ground. you gently rub the male's back, “Let just head inside, shall we?”

“S-sure…” idia nodded as you gently grabbed his hand and led him inside your home. to his surprise, the interior is huge and luxurious. he never realizes you'll be this rich. although, he was wondering what you're gonna show him. you lead him to your bedroom and allow him to sit on your bed.

“Um…What are you trying to show me?” idia tilted his head. you grinned as you walked over to your closet, “I thought I could surprise you with something. Hope you enjoy it~”

“???”

you opened up your closet and revealed a bunch of cosplay costumes. idia gasped with excitement when he saw your cosplay, “No way! No way! Are these…?!”

“Yep. You see some shorts on Magicam, right?” you asked the male.

idia gawked, “It was you?! That cosplayer who dressed up as my favorite characters?! Y-y-you look pretty!! I mean— Cool!”

you laughed at idia's red face, “Thanks. Glad you love it that much. Hey…Would you like to try it out?”

“I-I'm good, but you won't mind me taking some pictures to treasure it?” idia blushed, holding out his phone. you winked, “Whatever you want. So, what do you suggest?”

I recently had a cute thought about artist reader who managed to get into an event (kinda like comic con) and got a slot to be able to sell their art.

And then I thought what if reader managed to get like a free ticket or a plus one ticket (I don't really know how it actually works but we use imagination to fill the gaps :'D) and reader asks Hobie to accompain them.

And what if reader also managed to get Hobie to do a cosplay with them like a couple cosplay (the first that came to mind was Howl and Sophie from howl's moving castle, and maybe Hobie gave it his own twist and everything 🥺)

Overall I just think it'd be really cute and also a way for Hobie to support their artist partner (even if the maybe the whole comic con aspect may not really align with Hobie's beliefs I think he'd still go and support reader)

OKAY SO i said yesterday that i would make a post about how anime weekend atlanta went, so... basically it was a bit of a mixed bag because while i got to see tons of cool cosplays and merch and go to some neat panels, we (as in me and my dad who was traveling with me) ended up not only having car troubles the entire weekend but also had some absolutely ridiculous problems with ordering food. just as an example, one night we ordered a pizza and it took 3 hours to arrive and we never got told there would be any kind of delay 😭 BUT i will go ahead and share my cosplays and then list off some good things that happened! i'm slightly embarrassed about posting my face on here since i've never done that before but here goes:

i was edward elric on thursday and friday at AWA and lilia vanrouge (pop music club version) on saturday and sunday! i did a bunch of thrifting and DIYing (and pulling things i already owned out of my closet for lillia lmao) for both of these and i am especially proud of that automail glove. i also went to two twisted wonderland cosplay photoshoots on both saturday and sunday which was definitely fun, and i met todd haberkorn while in my ed cosplay and got him to autograph the same fullmetal alchemist artbook that i've previously had signed by caitlin glass! i also bought a handful of silly little trinkets and i will put photos of all this other stuff under a cut so people who don't care don't have it clogging their dash too badly.

^ the photo i took with todd haberkorn + the artbook cover he signed. you can see where he signed his name right over ling and where, when i met caitlin last year, she signed her name right over winry. i met him once before but it was literally 10 years ago and it was great to be able to meet him again. he told me he thinks ling deserves his own FMA spinoff, and i very much agree with him.

and uhhh i think that's all i feel like sharing on here?? i wish i had gotten to go to more panels but the various unexpected issues i had throughout the con kept me from having the time to go to many, although the ones i did get to see were great. there was one where a nuclear propulsion plant operator and NASA software engineer graded various sciencey anime on how good or bad their science was and did a very thorough examination of whether or not the premise of planetes--a screw hitting a spaceship, putting a hole in it, and taking out an intercontinental suborbital flight--was plausible. he concluded that it is and gave the overall series an A+ for scientific accuracy, and i've never seen this show but now i want to.

So I’m thinking about writing for some of my cosplay OCs

There are definitely five I would write for so I’m going to introduce you to them now. I only have photos of four of them though so I will update with the final photo of the last one once I get them.

Naevys Torlana 🪻🐍

She uses she/they pronouns. They are fae and have some pretty powerful magic. They were once a member of the spring court but left it when she fell in love with a human. She moved to the wild court that resides in the fae wilds, they have far less rules about what fae are and are not allowed to do which gives her more freedom. They have a snake familiar named Asphodel who is very loving and quiet cuddly. They continuously fall in love with the reincarnation of their first love who eventually regains the memories of their past lives together. They wait in the fae wilds for the day when their love (this would be the reader) reincarnates as a fae in the fae wilds. Fae are either born or a human can reincarnate as one, coming out as a fully formed adult fae from a tree in the fae wilds. They are loyal, bright, big on found family, a leader amongst the wild fae court, and powerful magician, and quite flirty in both a romantic and a platonic sense. They do have some darkness in their past and are not afraid to get their hands dirty if it means protecting someone or something they care about.

They have similar vibes to the Howl’s Moving Castle movie if that makes any sense.

She is set in a modern fantasy setting and is an orc barbarian. She uses she/her pronouns and goes by Gwen or her last name, Reh, to make it easier on people. She’s really down to earth and fun, she tends to be up beat and friendly. If I had to relate her to a character I would say Kirishima from mha. She’s very loyal to her friends and very hard working. Her best friend is a character later down on this list. She is very muscular under that loose fitting clothes and loves to lift up her friends both physically and emotionally. Absolutely is the type to run up and hug you while spinning you around in the air while laughing. She is very tall, I don’t care how tall you are she is at least a head taller. She is canonically 7’6”. She is very close with her family and she considers her friends to be family. She can enter a rage much like other barbarians which makes her hit harder, hit easier, run faster, lift more, basically it enhances all of her physical abilities. She works very hard to never make anyone afraid of her though, and if she can feel her anger rising she often asks if she can be excused for a few moments to calm down so she doesn’t yell at someone she cares about. You basically never have to worry about her yelling at you in other words but she will protect you with everything she has in her.

Captain Nova ‘Devil’s Charm’ Oakley ��️🌊

She is a pirate Captain and her ship is known as the Scarlet Revenge. She uses she/her pronouns. She is from Ireland pre potato famine but she has lost the accent mostly due to not being around people with that accent for a very long time. She is known for being incredibly charming, hence the nickname, and a fierce fighter. She treats her crew like her own and everyone on her ship eats before she does. She left home due to not being accepted so because of that she accepts all walks of life on her ship with open arms. She is hot and she knows it which leads to her being slightly cocky but not in the way where she acts like she’s better than you more in the way that she’s incredibly confident. She is very protective of her crew and sees them as her family but she doesn’t vocalize that, it’s more shown through her actions. If one of her crew members seems out of it she will often take up their job so that they can rest and is always there to talk to.

Dr. Jeanine ‘Gene’ Travis 🧪🧬

Gene is somewhat of a mad scientist and has a habit of using themselves as a test subject. They technically use any pronouns but prefer they/them. They use any pronouns in the sense of as long as you get their attention that works but since they prefer they/them that’s what I’m mainly going to use. They invent all kinds of things with a specific interest in genetics which is why they tell everyone to call them Gene as in genes and genetics. They prefer that to their actual name. The scar on their face and neck is from an experiment gone wrong and the purple on the other side of their face is from another experiment. Due to the stress their body was under at some point part of their hair turned white. They tend to be very excitable especially if one of their inventions is working. They are the kind to drag you over to show you while excitedly rambling about what it is. They have little to no regard for their personal safety but other people’s safety is their top priority, they will make you follow all lab safety rules and make you stay back at what they deem to be a safe distance from anything they are working on. This is for a reason but that comes later. They do have a really bad habit of not taking care of themselves so you will have to make sure they eat and drink water and they can become way too invested in their work but if you are sick or hurt they will practically teleport out of their lab to your side and absolutely baby you to no end. They also tend to make things to make your life easier, like if you have issues cooking they will make a robot to do it for you. All and all they are very caring just also very eccentric.

Gakhael Gozzgen 🔧🪨

This is the one I don’t have a photo for but they are a goblin mechanic and is best friends with Gwen who is further up. Gakhael uses any pronouns but in the sense of whatever is funniest at the time. The tiktok audio that goes like “So she- wait what are your pronouns? Oh I use any. Okay so bingus-” is literally their ideal. Gwen has this on lock btw. For simplicity in writing I will stick to they them unless I’m writing dialogue but please you could use anything in place of a pronoun for them and it would make them so happy. They have green skin and pointy ears and they are absolutely decked out in shiny stuff when they aren’t working. They have yellow eyes as well and they dress very colorfully. They are also quite chaotic so be warned. Basically think like incredibly hyperactive adhd and really bad at controlling it, I imagine them like me on my bad days and when I forget my meds. They are incredibly loyal though and if you need a single thing fixed they have it covered, no questions asked. They love to be helpful and they will drag you out on some of the weirdest and most fun dates imaginable. They are also quite short, they will likely have to look up at you because they are 4’6” and only come up to Gwen’s hip. The easiest way into their heart is giving them literally anything shiny, it could literally be trash you found on the side of the road and they would treasure it forever. They will climb you if you give them the chance though and they are also ace.

So that’s all of them for now. I really love all of these characters and I’m excited to write for them. I’m also thinking about doing some small audio clips of them for requests as well since I do have slightly different voices for all of them, those would be rare but I’m willing to take requests for them. If I don’t do an audio of them though I will write it if for some reason I can’t do a recording. I mainly plan on writing for them though. I also do make videos for them over on my tiktok but Naevys is the only one who has videos so far. I hope you love each of them as much as I do and thank you to @lovinkiri who has actually drawn Gwen before and encouraged me to do this when I mentioned it to her. Last Song: Scarlett Welly Boots by The Amazing Devil. It reallyyyyyyy fits two of my ocs and their relationship (plus another oc that is not mine). I just bite on it and chew so much. I love their messy relationship and how one is trying so hard, but the other one is so bitter about it.

Currently reading: I got. A lot. Of library books i need to go through but haven't started them at all. Kgxkhfxkgkxh. One i finished recently was Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia! Its really cool but also a horror/suspense book so watch out cause it gets reallyyyy fucked up.

Sweet/Spicy/Savory: Sweet!!! Sweet will always win in my book. Savory is good and im finding new appreciation with spicy (because now i live more north and away from Hispanic foods and my gods i miss spicy shit despite not really liking it alot)

Current Obsession: uhhhh. I suppose Dreamscape rps? Yeah. It's a thing we've made with friends and has multiple plots going and i got so many ocs there and it's been a blast!! It was yet another day as Jaimie Good, the cosplayer who loves bringing Rapunzel to life. At the Kingdom of Corona, I was greeted by Pascal. “You’re glowing today, Rapunzel,” he said. “Well, Pascal, I feel fantastic,” I replied, running my fingers through my incredibly long blonde hair. “Ready for another adventure?” Just then, a familiar voice called out, “Rapunzel, are you joining us today?” I turned to see Eugene Fitzherbert, better known as Flynn Rider, leaning casually against the castle gate. “Of course, Flynn. What's the plan?” Flynn winked, “Let’s just say it involves the best view in the kingdom, but we need to hurry before the Stabbington brothers catch wind of it.” I nodded eagerly, “Sounds perfect. Lead the way.” We walked through Corona’s vibrant streets, where people waved and young girls pointed, excited to see Rapunzel up close. “One of the perks of cosplaying,” I thought, basking in the warm attention. We arrived at the foot of an enormous cliff. Flynn gestured to a narrow path leading up. “Ladies first.” “This is nothing for Rapunzel,” I declared with a grin, starting the ascent. The wind played with my hair, catching the golden strands and making them shimmer in the sunlight. As we reached the top, an amazing view of Corona spread out below us. “It’s beautiful,” I whispered. Flynn smiled, “Just like I promised. And now for the surprise.” He pulled out a small lantern, its soft glow mirroring the fading sunlight. “Flynn, you remembered,” I beamed. Together, we released the lantern, watching as it floated upwards, joining hundreds of others in the twilight sky. “There’s something magical about this place, don’t you think?” Flynn asked, his voice softer now. “Always,” I replied, looking up at the stars beginning to peek through. “It’s the perfect place for a cosplayer like me.” Flynn chuckled, “Well, Jaimie Good, you’ve got the princess part down perfectly.” I smiled, feeling the happiness radiate from within. Here, in the heart of Corona, surrounded by friends, this cosplayer felt like a true princess. As the night deepened, Flynn and I stayed there, sharing stories and laughter. Being Jaimie Good, the Rapunzel cosplayer, brought endless joy not just to me but to everyone around, and that was a feeling I cherished deeply.

Bernthal, Weller, Charmed Duo, Parrilla Added To FAN EXPO Portland Celebrity Lineup, January 12-14

Jon Bernthal (“The Punisher,” “The Walking Dead”), Peter Weller (RoboCop, The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension), the “Charmed” duo of Holly Marie Combs and Rose McGowan, and Lana Parrilla (“Once Upon a Time,” “Spin City”) have been added to the celebrity lineup at FAN EXPO Portland, set for January 12-14, 2024, at the Oregon Convention Center.

The five join the first wave of stars announced earlier this month that includes Danny Trejo (Machete, The Book of Boba Fett), the "Daredevil" tandem of Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio, Peter Cullen (Transformers) and Jason Lee (Vanilla Sky, Almost Famous).

Bernthal played the lead “Frank Castle” in the Netflix Marvel series “Daredevil” after a popular run as “Shane Walsh” in the AMC hit drama “The Walking Dead.” The classically trained Bernthal most recently starred in last year’s “American Gigolo” on Showtime and has appeared in such large-scale productions as World Trade Center, The Pacific and Rampart, and has had guest roles on top TV series like "CSI: Miami," "Boston Legal," "Without a Trace" and "How I Met Your Mother."

Accomplished actor, director, voice over artist and occasional professor Weller’s amazing career has taken him from the mean streets of old Detroit to the final frontier of space. He has appeared in more than 50 films and television series, notably in the title role in 1987’s RoboCop and its sequel RoboCop 2 and as the title character in the quirky 1984 sci-fi cult film The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension.

Combs starred in "Charmed," which ran for eight seasons and has adopted a huge, loyal following since, as "Piper Halliwell," one of three witch sisters fighting evil in modern day San Francisco. That followed her breakout role in 88 episodes of the hit series "Picket Fences" and later led to appearances in more than 30 series and movies and a long run as "Ella Montgomery" on "Pretty Little Liars."

Her “Charmed” co-star McGowan played long-lost sister "Paige Matthews" for the final five seasons of the series. The Italian-born actress first caught major attention for her role as "Tatum Riley" in the horror blockbuster Scream (1996) opposite Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette. She has appeared in more than 60 films and shows as an actress and is also an accomplished producer and director.

Parrilla appeared in 156 episodes of the ABC hit fantasy/adventure series “Once Upon a Time” between 2011-2018, for which she earned several awards, including TV Guide’s Favorite Villain, and numerous nominations. She has had recurring roles in hits “Spin City,” “Boomtown,” “24” and “Windfall,” and co-starred as “Lana Trammell” in this year’s Netflix release of the second season of “The Lincoln Lawyer.”
