Comfort | Cas
Summary: You've been suffering from nightmares recently, and call upon a certain angel for comfort.
Sorry it's a little short compared to what I've written before! Hope it's still okay! Based on this request here, thank you!
Word count: 722
Tumblr media
♱⁺. ⋆˙✧⋆✧˙⋆⊹.♱
You thought that nightmares were a thing of your past, or even what your day-to-day life is now.
Obviously, you wouldn't be living a somewhat normal life without them, of course, but it doesn't mean they absolutely frighten you half to death. You awaken, your heart feels like it is about to pound right through your chest. The dream itself felt so real, your eyes dart around to ensure that you're completely safe. You sigh in relief, forcing your eyes shut, and your hands covering them. "Please, God, just one night of sleep. That's all I ask." You moan, rubbing your eyes and then your face. "I beg. Just one night." You try to make yourself comfy again when there's a very quick whooshing sound coming from the front of your bedroom door. "Hi."
You jump, rapidly pulling your gun from under your pillow, and pointing it toward a man in a trenchcoat. "Jesus, Cas," You startle, lowering your gun. "You terrified me." You say, sitting up in bed. "Sorry, Y/N. I heard your prayer. You're struggling to sleep?" He says, cocking his head to the side. His eyes wide and full of sparkle. The feeling of comfort has suddenly taken over you once Cas' presence had been known. He's always managed to make you feel safe and protected, even when he's not around. You have always had a deeper connection to Cas compared to the Winchesters, but that didn't mean you loved them any less. It's just that your feelings towards Castiel are different... and they didn't need to know that.
Cas takes his coat off and hangs it on your door handle. His shoes as well. He pads over to the edge of your bed and faces you. "Yeah, the past few weeks have been difficult and I don't know why. I genuinely don't remember the last time I had a good night's sleep," You say, and his eyes lower to the sheets, then to you. "I want to try something." He says, looking up at you. His gorgeous blue eyes complimenting his features in the dim light of your bedroom makes your heart flutter. "Y-yeah, of course, what is it?" You ask, keeping your voice lowered. If either of the brothers heard that you've got Cas in your bedroom right now, neither of you would be able to live it down.
"I um," He starts hesitantly. "Is it okay with you?"
"Yeah, it is." You say, unsure of what his next moves are. He gently gets onto the other side of your bed, he leans back, one leg over the other. He places his arm under you, and gently moves you to lay with him. Your brain has all sorts of thoughts and questions right now, but it's best to leave it. "Do you... like this?" He asks, sounding unsure within himself. You grin. "Yeah. It's comforting."
"I've watched enough movies to know that this is what people in relationships do." He says, you look up at him and his eyes are shut. He looks content, and then he opens his eyes and moves his gaze onto you. Feeling nervous, you cuddle yourself closer to him, avoiding eye contact. Something like this happening definitely didn't cross your mind for what his plan was.
Your whole body relaxes at his touch. He slowly, but gently, moves his hand down to stroke your back. He keeps his gaze on you, a simper that never seems to fade. His tender demeanour puts your mind at ease as you place a hand on his chest. "You're so warm," You mumble, inching closer. "That's a good thing, right?" He says, and you nod "Mhm."
You calmly place your hand against his cheek, stroking his face. This time you make eye contact with him, and all he can do is stare at you lovingly. He's clearly enjoying this time spent with you, as it's not very often (if at all) that this happens. You reach up to him and give him a peck on the cheek, moving your hand back down to his chest. He turns over to face you, pulling you in so your head is underneath his chin, breathing in his faint smell of cologne. He cautiously rubs the bottom of your back as you both drift off into a deep sleep together.

Castiel (Supernatural/Grimm) - Short Story - Chapter 1
Tumblr media
You’ve gotten used to your sister’s irrational ideas and craziness, but this definitely took the cake.
When you returned from your last training session you kept telling her to let it go. But Diana’s never been very reasonable, especially when it came to messing with you.
That’s why you’re currently standing in a motel with three other guys.
Two of which were apparently being telekinetically forced against the wall. The other guy was older, dressed in a business suit. All eyes turned in your direction when they took notice of your presence.
“Well, what do we have here? Hello love.”
The suited guy was grinning in a devilish way.
“Run!!”
One of the guys called, still fighting against whatever spell this guy used.
“Now, is that any way to greet a guest?”
He lifted his hand, flicking his wrist. From his confused expression he obviously expected something to happen.
“Usually that does the trick.”
You frown, reaching over your shoulder as you draw your machete. His eyes widened, and this time he flung his hand more aggressively, but nothing happened.
“That’s not good.”
The second you took a step forward he was gone in a blink and both men dropped from the wall immediately. You looked around, still preparing for an attack. Both men were trying to gather their breaths. When you realize the threat is gone, you sheath your blade, rushing over to them.
“Are you both alright?”
You moved over to the taller one and he nodded, straightening. His friend did the same, looking you over.
“How did you do that?” The taller man asked.
Your brows furrowed.
“Do what?”
“Deflect his attack. You didn’t even move.”
So your assumptions were correct, he must have been Wesen.
A Zauberbiest maybe.
“I’m not exactly normal. I’m guessing he tried because he didn’t know.”
While you were happy these two strangers were okay, there is no sign of your sister.
“Where am I? Where is Diana? Did he grab her before you got here?”
Now they're both confused.
“Who is Diana?” The shorter one asked.
“My sister she..she’s the one that made this dumb spell. I told her to stop messing around. Now I’m in some busted up town dealing with a Zauberbiest.” You grumble.
“What’s a Zauberbiest?” They both inquire.
You feel a bit disoriented. Your assumption was they had to be Grimms, or at least know about it. It can’t be a coincidence that guy attacked them. But they look puzzled. You run a hand over your face.
“Who are you guys?”
“Well Black Widow, I’m Dean and this is my brother Sam.”
His little jab felt like a joke Diana would make.
You huff.
“My name isn’t Black Widow. I’m “(Y/N). (Y/N) Burkhardt.”
You didn’t like this situation, even less now that you have no idea where Diana is or where you are.
“Damn it, Dad is gonna kill me.”
You’ve lost count of how many lectures he’s given about using spells. But Diana was never one to listen. You can just imagine what Kelly will say when you both get busted.
“Alright, since we’re all acquainted, maybe it’s time to call in some angelic help. Cas!! Get your butt down here!”
You’re confused on why Dean is screaming into the air. At least at first. The distinct flapping of wings is heard and you turn in surprise at the male now standing behind you. For a moment your instinct is to draw your blade, but the second your eyes meet you all but freeze.
His eyes are a beautiful shade of blue and you’re stunned, because you can literally see wings. He’s staring back at you in a similar state of awe. Your heart is pounding, and for once it’s not because of a confrontation with a Wesen or some world ending situation. Your legs literally feel weak. You try to take a step back, maybe distance will help, but your legs buckle and before you even fall, you’re caught.
“I’ve got you.”
His voice is low and smooth as honey. You swallow as his hand that’s laying around your waist guides you back upright.
“Who are you..”
“My name is Castiel. I’m an angel.”
An angel.
Of course he is.
It seems Diana’s spell might have worked. There’s no other way to explain why just the sight of him has you acting like a smitten teen.
You pull out of his hold, clearing your throat as you fix your jacket. Sam and Dean look between the both of you.
“So..are you two done flirting?” Dean asks.
You glare in his direction and he just smirks.
“Cas here is gonna explain what the hell is going on. For example, who is this Wonder Woman chick and where did she come from?”
“Your little references aren’t very funny.”
You’re annoyed at how similar he is to Diana.
“Knock it off Dean, she just saved our lives.” Sam interjects.
“Yeah, care to explain how you did that because Crolwey’s basically the king of Hell. One of the strongest demons we know and he couldn’t even nudge you.”
His words aren’t making much sense.
“Demon? That guy was a demon?”
“Yeah, what did you think he was?” Sam asks.
“A Wesen.”
“What the hell’s a Wesen?” Dean questions.
Now you’re certain you have no idea what’s going on.
Castiel turns to you, as if trying to figure it all out.
“You said Wesen.”
“Yes, that’s what we call them.”
His expression seems contemplative, as if putting it all together in his head.
“I’ve heard about you, but this is wrong, you shouldn’t be here. Not in this universe.”
The more he speaks the less sense he makes.
“What do you mean in this universe?”
“I mean you’re from another universe. Grimms, Wesen, they don’t belong here.”
You’re shocked, because he knows. You’re sort of relieved you’re not going crazy.
“Could someone explain what the hell is going on!” Dean yells.
Honestly, you don’t blame his hysteria, because this is a lot to take in. You move to the bed taking a seat.
“Something tells me this is going to be a while, anyone got a drink.”
From Dean’s expression you can tell that he needs one too.

l Tech Angel l
Castiel X Reader
Warnings: Nothing much just fluffy goodness
Summary: Late night research turns into more after teaching Cas how to use the computer.
Word Count: 408
Masterlist
---
“I will never understand you humans and knowing how to use all of this technology” it was currently late at night in the bunker, Sam and Dean had long ago gone to bed in preparation for the next days hunt, You and Castiel however decided to stay awake in order to get in as much research as you both possibly could before you all set off in the morning. It was becoming more and more clear that you were getting along much better than your winged friend was.
“You're not even on the search bar Cas” you stated trying your very hardest not to laugh at the angel’s struggles. You would have thought that angels would already know how to do everything before they got down here, them being all knowing beings and all but that has proved to be far from the truth as you watched on as Cas hap haphazardly started typing single letters on the keyboard not understanding how it wasn’t knowing what he wanted it to do.
“Here let me help”, you started getting closer to Cas scooting in next to him and leaning in a little more than necessary just to be that much closer to the angel. “This is how you use it, see?” you stated looking over at him, though due to your height difference you were more likely looking up at him even though you were both sat next to each other. As you looked over towards Cas however you saw that his focus was not on what you were showing him on the computer but instead focused on your face the entire time.
You don’t know whether it was the close proximity you both shared or the love sick face that he had as he stared into your eyes but in this moment you were so thankful of your decision to sit just that bit closer.
You both sat there in a comfortable silence staring at one another as Cas closed the gap between the two of you and kissed you with such intensity it quite literally took your breath away. “Who needs to understand technology when I have the smartest person in the world?” That statement was far from the truth, you weren't the smartest but to Cas he fully meant it and just knowing that fact made you feel so loved and appreciated that you fell more in love with the angel, if that was even possible.

This just makes me fall in love with Cas all over again 😍
While You Were Sleeping
Pairing: Castiel X Reader
Word Count: 463
A/N: Drabble so sappy you could probably make syrup – Cas musing about the things he does while the reader sleeps.
Castiel held you in his arms as he did every night – watching over you as you drifted to sleep, feeling your chest rise and fall against his own, sensing your body relax against his, the last threads of your conscious mind finally letting go.
The angel did not require sleep and you’d asked him again what he did all night - while you were sleeping. Always he gave you a small smile, his blue eyes brimming over with affection, telling you he kept you safe – that you should have pleasant dreams, that he’d be there in the morning. And he’d press a tender kiss to your forehead, smooth an ever stray wisp of hair behind your ear, and squeeze you a little bit tighter. He kept the rest to himself - the little things he actually did to pass the time - tucking them away into his heart for safe keeping.
Once, while you were sleeping, he memorized every freckle on your glowing sun-kissed skin. He counted the number of breaths you took until the morning light peeked through the blinds, rousing you. He totaled the number of times your heart beat, especially after you’d dreamed of him. He banished your nightmares, shining a radiant light to shoo the shadows back into the recesses of your mind. He slipped down the blankets when you were too warm, before your body sheened in sweat. He wrapped you in his grace when you were too cold, before goose bumps could pepper your skin. He soothed away the tiny aches and pains of the day – even the ones you didn’t even realize you had. He listened attentively to your random murmuring sleep talk - your habit of making shopping lists while you slept which was especially amusing to him since you continually failed to have an actual list when you went shopping and to your wonder the angel always ensured nothing was forgotten. Snuggling your helpless slumbering body close, he learned what it meant to absolutely trust someone. One night, in the brightness of a full moon illuminating your drowsing figure, he’d decided you were the most beautiful of his father’s creations. He determined that none of the billions of years he’d existed held any significant value compared to the relatively brief time that had passed since he met you. Each and every night, he rediscovered what it felt like to love someone unconditionally.
And tonight – tonight he shook you gently, softly whispering your name. Tonight something wonderful happened – something he could not contain alone within the bounds of his heart. Your eyes fluttered open, seeking his, questioning as he gazed back at you with a delighted smile - because tonight, while you were sleeping, he heard your child’s heart beat for the very first time.

Inbox open for x reader fic requests!
Hallo! I'm opening up my inbox for just a couple fandoms, really only two.

Now, I will go ahead and say that I'm not too fond of gore, but I'll do small detailing of it if the fic request either says or implies it. I'm mostly open to fluff, but will do angst too. Smut is a meh, so it'll be like a 50/50 whether I decide to do smut requests or not.
Now, the list isn't long, but here are some character X Readers I'm comfortable with writing (only because I know the character well):
Philip J. Fry X Reader Leela X Reader Dean Winchester X Reader Sam Winchester X Reader Castiel X Reader Jack Kline X Reader Bender X Reader Amy Wong X Reader
Now, here are some of the !reader tags I'm willing to do:
upset/depressed!reader drunk!reader fem!reader nonbinary!reader male!reader gender-nonconforming!reader artist!reader coming out!reader (if reader is deciding to come out, whether it be sexuality or gender) and more if you guys think of any!
Some for only Futurama: stripper!reader alien!reader cryogenically frozen!reader and more if you guys come up with some!
Some for only Supernatural: vampire!reader demon!reader angel!reader spirit!reader haunted!reader hunter!reader and any more if you guys have something in mind!

You Can Sleep, I’ll Keep You Safe.
Supernatural Masterlist // Full Masterlist
Castiel x Reader
Maybe one of these nights you’ll sleep. Like you'll get some actual sleep, not one of those naps that the Impala lulls you into on a long trip, but a sleep where you dream of things that don’t wake you up in the middle of the night and scare you so much that you can’t bring yourself to go back and try again.
See, because Cas was an angel, he didn’t need sleep. So, normally, he’d spend his nights somewhere around the bunker, either reading in the library or ‘researching’ American television programmes. No matter what he was doing, he was always there for when you couldn’t face the nightmares.
Recently Castiel wasn’t around at night. In the daytime, the angel still arrived to wherever you were to help with cases, but he’d disappear each evening, never telling you where he was going. You’d tried asking Sam and Dean where he’d gone but they told you they claimed to not know either. You knew they were lying but couldn’t be bothered to push it.
“Y/N, you look exhausted.”
“Gee, thanks, Dean.”
“You’re welcome.”
You dragged yourself, wrapped in a fluffy blanket, around the bunker to the kitchen to get a mug of coffee. You stumbled into every surface you could possibly lean on. Dean was too absorbed into whatever he was doing to notice the noises you were making every time you had a corner of something jab you in the hip.
You sighed, finally making it to the coffee machine, and blinked repeatedly trying to focus your constantly blurry eyes. You rubbed your face trying to wake yourself up. No matter what you did, you couldn’t focus your vision. Your eyes began to water, but you couldn’t tell if you were tired or actually upset over your mind’s confusion.
You knew lack of sleep wasn’t good for your body or your mind. It can make a person fuzzy, evidently, make them feel insane and lose any sense of being. You felt like you were slowly submerging into that state. The little naps just didn’t even it out. You needed Cas.
“Where the fuck are you?”
You looked around half expecting him to turn up, but knowing that he wouldn’t. You were right. You wandered back to where Dean was sitting. He acknowledged you with a nod and carried on reading. You blew gently on your coffee embracing the silence resonating in the bunker, well, apart from the page turns from Dean and his book.
“Hey, can you pass me that book? The one on the coffee table?”
You got up with a smile, discarding the blanket and happy to help Dean out. But that soon faded as the exhaustion caught up with your body and you collapsed almost straight to the floor. Dean had moved fast enough to keep your head from hitting the floor.
“Shit, Y/N!”
Sam emerged from his room at the loud sound of Dean’s chair falling over and hitting the floor. You looked up, eyes finally in focus.
“What?”
“What do you mean, ‘what’?”
“Why am I on the floor?”
“You just fell. Out like a light.”
“Huh.”
You went to get back up, brushing Dean off, but your head whirled, pushing you back to the position you were in. Sam approached the two of you.
“What’s happening, Y/N?”
“Look, since Cas has been disappearing every night, I haven’t been sleeping.”
“Why didn’t you say anything?”
“I was napping on the car rides and I thought they’d cover it.”
“You just collapsed!”
“I said thought. Anyway, I’ve called Cas every night and nothing. You two weren’t telling me where he was. I guessed he was doing angel stuff, so I gave up.”
“But you still could have spoke to us.”
“No offence, but it wouldn’t have made a difference. Castiel’s presence just… relaxes me. Like my entire body and my mind actually stops feeding me nightmares.”
You sat in silence for a few minutes, the boys still processing what you’d just told them. You closed your eyes to stop the world spinning.
“Y/N…”
Castiel. You wanted to look up at the angel, but your head was too heavy and too dizzy to move. Dean picked you up and sat you on the sofa. Castiel coming to sit next to you. You sat, making no attempt at speaking.
“I’m so sorry, Y/N. I knew you don’t sleep well. I didn’t want to leave you every night but there’s a mess in heaven that really needs sorting.”
You were still silent. You heard Sam sigh and rub his face. They did know. Of course they knew but why couldn’t they just tell you?
“I’m here now. You can sleep now.”
You meant against him in agreement, fearing what will happen if your head even moves slightly. He gently manoeuvres you and picks you up, being careful to support your head. Your eyes remain closed as you feel him place you onto your bed.
“You can sleep now, I’ll keep you safe Y/N.”
He pulls the sheets over you as Sam walks in. You assumed he was bringing in the blanket you’d left by Dean’s books. You were proven right when you felt the fluffiness over your arms.
“Thanks, Sam.”
Castiel showed his gratitude to the younger Winchester as he closed the door behind himself. He pulled you closer to him, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. You snuggled into his side, resting your head on his chest, finally feeling safe and calm enough to drift into a dream filled sleep.

Empty Inside | Castiel
Summary; Being empty inside is a natural description for both y/n and Castiel. They are the lesser of their kinds, despite fighting for their causes for so long. But that rendering sensation has helped bring them closure, for they understand each other in a way that nobody else can quite comprehend.
Warnings; minor angst, mention of death, little bit of fluff i guess, insecurities, being compared to others, frustration
Tumblr media
The anatomy of a human was a strange thing to sight, but the feelings were just as confusing.
Each of the Winchesters were complex beings, even whilst being such small, insect like examples of existence.
When God had created them, he was proud, but Castiel was confused as to why that was.
He was a warrior of Heaven, he had seen great things in his blinding vision, and this, the experience of watching them, having to pretend to be so tender for his cause was confusing.
Dean was outright blunt; a part of the angel liked that about him. There was no cutting corners with the eldest sibling, and a part of him appreciated that.
Although, to tell the truth, admittedly the celestial being found it hard to read him.
He used things like ‘sarcasm’, as the primates had described it, often. And it bugged him to no end.
It was simply saying something with exaggerated efforts, whilst meaning another. It was a feature he couldn’t quite comprehend the importance or use of.
Then, there was Sam, the middle child, and the perfect vessel of Lucifer. It didn’t matter what happened to him in the long run, but for now it did, considering Dean’s ample rendering of how he needed him so.
There was no splitting apart the siblings, for they were one another’s life lines, as he had come to learn.
Somehow, and it amazed Castiel, all of Sam’s mistakes were cast aside, even at the most dire times. Their reluctance to give up on one another was downright noble, yet irritating all the same.
The youngest of the brothers was a hazard for the other; his inclination and addiction of drinking demon blood didn’t sway the counsel of the angels.
It only reminded them that their brother that was cast away, was to one day return in order to bring the world on its knees so that the apocalypse could overcome every obstacle on it.
And finally, there was the sister of the sibling trio. Y/n, and if Castiel speculated correctly, then she was the logically smartest out of them all.
Her attitude towards him was simple; she understood why he kept on his main course. There was no reason for him not to, he had never been taught differently, and he was doing nothing more than his duty.
If anything, he could sense a breath of pity filling the air anytime they were in each other’s company.
There were so many words that made reasonable sentences in her head, but she opted to remain silent, knowing that he preferred it that way.
He wasn’t at all there for her, his mission was to protect Dean, as proven whence he grasped him out of perdition.
That was no bother to her, it only made things awkward, as she would put it. Castiel, to his feathery luck never experienced such uncomfortable feelings.
But she still, no matter kept that human weakness about herself, foolishly embracing it as though it served any good against the dark forces squandering and escaping hell.
Again, her family was her purpose to fight, and admittedly, they knew as well as he did, that that factor would be each of their downfalls.
And as he sat in the motel room, awaiting their ambitious return, when the door swung open, it was the female alone. There was dirt smothering her face, and trapped in the cords of her hair, and Castiel frowned at the sight of her.
“Dammit!” She kicked the bedpost, gaining the utmost intrigue out of the angel.
Y/n was never one to be so blatant in expressing her frustrated emotions, but it appeared that tonight, something had happened, and irked her greatly.
It confused Cas, as Dean had dubbed him, as to why she was behaving that way, and so, he simply asked.
“Has something unwanted happened during the hunt that you went on with your brothers?”
It was a first, seeing her wearing a scowl aimed directly towards him, but eventually she sighed, and let her guarded expression fall down, and crumble at her feet.
“That’s one way to put it.” A somber sigh followed after her words, confirming her active annoyance, of which the angel assumed was not pardoning her siblings. “Dean was saying, or ‘simply giving me the idea’, of hitting the road, and missing this whole apocalypse business. He thinks I should live life a little before, in case he and Sam don’t manage to stop it.”
Castiel clasped his hands together, he had seen people do the same in chapels when praying, but he was not wishing to speak to his father, for he knew that there would be a lack of response.
It was instead a mannerism that the body that he was borrowing found comfort in doing, and so he was inclined to allow it follow its natural instincts.
“Have you ever thought that your brother has wanted a normal life for you? I think that was how he meant to come across, and you simply may never have another chance to experience such a way of living if things fail.”
The angel leant forward, watching as her brow furrowed with a signal of distress. Her mind was torn, stuck between two things; the desire to run and never look back on this life, and the other to remain, and fight beside her family, or at least what was left of it.
“Yeah, a normal life.” A humoured laugh slipped from her chapped and thirsty lips, her head nodding at the prospect. “I am sure that is why he taught me how to shoot a gun, and behead my first vampire.”
She sat alongside the angel, he was not sure why, but he thought she may have found comfort in being beside someone, even in his case it be a celestial, powerful force that was a warrior of the above. “Are your family the same; do they think that they know what is best for you?”
He wasn’t used to being asked questions, at home, as he knew it as, he was instructed. His opinions nor the thoughts in his mind were never up for discussion; if he stepped out of line, he would surely be compared to Lucifer. And that was a major insult, if not the worst for his kind.
“My father, wherever he is, has everything in an avid plan. There is a reason for everything; after all, he is the creator of all life, and each individual atom of it. We are all his children, from the plants to the great and ferocious creatures of the Sahara. It is no doubt that God knows best.”
Despite being intrigued by humans, this one in very particular, he was still loyal to his original course. No matter how swayed he felt, there was no absence in getting off track from it.
“But what if he doesn’t?”
In the form of it, it felt like an insult, but Castiel remained silent, allowing the lesser being woman to continue her speculator dialogue.
There was no harm in words, so long as it didn’t push down the belief of his father, or revealed that she was on the alternative side. “The Bible makes you out to be some great warriors, and I understand that the stories are written rom mankind’s scripture, however, if he is so holy and prosperous, he shouldn’t need his children to complete his bidding. With a snap of his transparent fingers, all the bad, anything that opposes him could be gone. So why isn’t that the route he takes to fix his troubles?”
It was a perspective that Castiel had never thought of before, and it raised some of his enquiries in his mind that had shrunken to fit into this form.
The creations, mortal or otherwise had so many flaws, and if he wanted, he could resolve the issues in a second, overwriting anything that he simply did not like.
And if done, and all was bent to his will, then the world would be a safer habitat, and there’d be no agenda in saving it, for it would not be necessary.
“Because there is no story to it.” Muttered the resident of heaven, bowing his head in shame. “And Dean would be wrong to send you away, for you have your own, and that choice in staying, or leaving is up to you. But if you pardoned yourself from this script, then you would not be around, and out of all of you Winchesters, I find your company the most calming and least irritating. If you were one of the vessels, I would then have much, if not more, faith in your succession. However, you are not, instead you are-”
“Empty inside.” Y/n finished his sentence, able to do so because she was well aware of her worth within the universe.
The impact that she was to have on it was never to be as large as Sam or Dean’s, but that didn’t mean that it wasn’t in her best interests to make the planet a better place.
Hunting was practically all that she knew, and if that was ripped away from her, then she wouldn’t be sure what to do.
There would be no other purpose for her to live; many hunters felt the same, even if their reputations were slack and unknown.
It was the self knowledge of saving lives that served as the fuel to continue onwards, and it was the way of thousands within the unemployed business.
And most died within this life, such as her parents, and too many more. John, her father had been hellbent on finding a demon, with lustrous, dangerous yellow eyes.
But now, after his unfortunate end, and benevolent sacrifice, all that they had learnt from him and Bobby had been scrubbed clean.
They had been introduced to a new slate, one involving angelic asses, that thought it their right to boss the earthly primates around, giving them orders that were those sent by god.
But none of them knew how hard being a human was, there was no going back or turning time. All were stuck with the consequences of their rash choices, much like Lucifer, who wanted to be loved more than God’s latest project, but instead, in the rise of his destruction, was tossed aside.
To every villain, there was a reason for their change in heart. In some kind of messed up, collateral way, y/n understood the devil himself, even if she had yet to come face to face with him.
They were different, and that was okay, and Castiel was the same. He was crafted with a crack in his surface, and though he wanted to do good, he wasn’t quite sure which side served that purpose.
“Not empty.” The angel corrected her, seeing more than his brothers and sisters could in a simple human. “Rather, a haven from the chaos. The others of my family may narot be able to visualise your lack of use, in their fleeting eyes, but I happen to, very well. Whilst Sam and Dean do have a trait within your family to be both light and darkness, you are the grey between their two distinct colours. And whilst their prominence is famous, they are ignorant to all the shades that you emit. There is nothing wrong with being overlooked by an angel, instead, you should see it as an example of luck.”
“Do you overlook me, Castiel?”
Her head tilted, grasping onto every line that appeared sternly on his handsome face. They were side by side, and Castiel turned his head to be focused on her, it brought their expressions closer to one another’s naked eye.
Y/n was indeed grateful for all that he had done to help the survivors of her family, and his opinion of her, for some peculiar reason, mattered to her.
It was normal for the messengers to look down upon their stock of cattle, for they were superior in both the sights of the lord, and the mortals themselves.
And she would not be insulted if he did, for he was just another one of his kind; he was not supposed to feel anything towards her mistaken species.
Y/n knew far too well of the inclined penance that the angels were worth from humans, they had done bad by them, ruining hte home that god made for them, shaping it to die in their own pollution.
“Not at all.” And whilst his sentiment was not accompanied by a smile, or any indication at all that he wanted her to do so, y/n was too in touch with her natural motions, that she leant in and kissed Castiel.
He didn’t kiss her back, nor did he pull away, he remained still as she moved her mouth over his. “You do realise that this is not my body, do you not? I am dressed in the appearance of Jimmy Novak, we are very different and-”
“I meant to kiss you Cas, not some stranger.” Y/n informed him, upholding a sweet and innocent face. “You’re nice, for an angel. I think you were assigned to earth for more than angelic duties, I think you belong here.”
Castiel gulped at that. It was true, he was put on this vastly deficient planet due to his orders.
But he wasn’t quite following them all the way through; he was becoming rather attached to these humans, and that was why he could not let y/n leave.
It didn’t matter that his brother had suggested the idea to Dean, he was not going to allow her to depart from him.
She was the only thing that he had found in all of his eternal life that had made him prosper with the sensation for existing for more than fighting historical wars.
Before meeting her, he felt like some kind of manmade machine; empty inside, working only by the wires that were flowing with energy from a power source.
But he had found that he no longer needed that supply, for he was crafted for a figurative cause, but he had found another that he preffered.
The crack in being broke a little bit more, and he licked his thin lips, having a desire for y/n to kiss him again.
Instead, she shook her head, standing to watch out of the motel room window, and await the return of the two prominent vessels; Sam and Dean.

Back in Time part 5
Tumblr media
Hey guys! Sorry for the long delay!
Pairing: Castiel x non-gender specific reader
——————————————————————————
No ones pov
The younger Winchester explained what they know to Bobby. The older versions staying quiet while shifting awkwardly from side to side.
This was weirder then they thought. Seeing their, supposed to be, dead surrogate father, alive. It was heart wrenching.
Bobby seemed to pick up on their strange behavior.
“Am I dead in your time? Why the sore faces?” Bobby probably meant it as a a joke, but his words made everyone from the future tense up.
“Shit.. for real?” Bobby asked with a more softer voice.
Dean rubbed the back of his head with a sour look plastered on his face.
“Well not technically,” he started looking over at his bother for assistance.
“It’s a long story that we probably shouldn’t tell you,” Sam jumped in with a sweet smile.
“Whatever you say,” Bobby continued to look throw his lore books on his desk.
That was way easier than they excepted.
“Y’all said she’s in Tulsa?” Bobby asked as he took a swig of his whiskey.
They all nodded their heads and waited for the old man to finish.
“Then what the hell are you doing sittin ‘round here. Take your asses to Tulsa, ya idjits!” Bobby proclaims as he dramatically sat in his chair.
“We were wondering if he can borrow a car?” Older Sam finally was the one to ask, his voice cracking just slightly.
“You know where to find em,” was the last thing Bobby said before he was nose deep in a time traveling lore book.
They all collectively walked to the junkyard, awkwardly.
———————————————————————————
Oldest Dean ended up finding a car and everyone from the future huddled in, as the present went back to Baby.
Dean was the first to break the silence, “this is freakin weird.”
“Tell me about it,” y/n said as they stretched in the back, “I’ve been here the entire time.”
“Did you get hurt?” Cas asked with a soft voice that was laced with worry.
“I had a small headache but that was about it,” y/n smiled at Cas in earnest.
The moment was cut with Dean fake vomiting, “you’re gross.”
They all laughed and started up the car and their trip to Tulsa.
———————————————————————————
Sorry for long wait. I completely forgot where I was going in this story that is also why it’s so short. Anyways hoped you guys had a very happy holidays.

Keep quiet (NSFW)
Tumblr media
Hii! This is my very first english fanfic. English is not my first language, so if something doesn’t make sense, I’m sorry xd I hope you’ll like it!
Castiel x reader, slight Dean x reader Warnings: smut, kinky (is that a warning? xdd), Castiel (cuz we all know he needs his own warning), probably a lot of mistakes lol Words: 770
Everything was silent. The bunker was empty. The Winchesters had another case out of town but they were supposed to come back soon. I was the only one in the whole building, at least that’s what I thought.
As I was walking to the kitchen, I heard footsteps coming from behind me. Before I could even react, I was pinned to the wall by two strong arms. All I could see were two blue eyes of the intruder. I relaxed a bit until I realized he’s not letting me go.
“Shh, keep quiet.” He said quietly. Then we were suddenly in the bunker’s library.
“What-” I tried to ask what are we doing, but he growled - actually growled, what the hell Cas? - and pushed me onto the table. I gasped, then I felt his lips on mine. His lips were soft, I could taste a bit of honey in that kiss. His hands were roaming my body until they got under my pajama shirt. It was one of Dean’s old t-shirts that he let me borrow. What the hell got into that angel?
“Cas-” I tried again, I could hear Baby’s engine outside the bunker. I tried to push Cas off of me, but he wouldn’t move. His hands dangerously dipped under my shorts. I let out a quiet moan before I heard the door open.
“We’re back!” Sam called. Cas’s hand slowly moved into the front of the shorts. I could feel his fingers in between my soaked folds.
“Keep quiet, they can’t see us, but they can hear everything.” Cas whispered into my ear. I bit my lip and closed my eyes. Cas slowly pushed two of his fingers into me and started moving them in and out. I had to bite my knuckles to keep quiet.
Sam and Dean walked the few steps up to the library from the war room. They looked worried because I haven’t come to say hi to them yet. I usually meet them at the stairs to the bunker and hug both of them.
Castiel added another finger and I frowned before I let out a quiet whimper. The boys didn’t seem to notice and continued to walk into the corridor leading to the kitchen and our rooms.
“Cas-” I moaned quietly as he took a step back and took his fingers out of me, just to undo his pants and pull out his hefty erect member. I bit my lip as he took me by the hips and pulled me closer. I could feel his leaking tip on my clit as he was trying to pull the t-shirt off of me. I helped him by putting my hands up, so he could just pull it off. He threw the t-shirt away. I saw it land next to the door. Then I almost screamed as he pushed himself inside of me in one quick hard thrust.
“Did you find her?” I could hear Sam and Dean coming closer to the library again. I gasped as Cas put his hand over my mouth and started slowly thrusting into me.
“No. If she left, why didn’t she leave a no-” Sam’s words were cut off. I could see both of them from the corner of my eye, as Dean slowly picked up the t-shirt that Cas threw away.
“Well this wasn’t here before.” Dean smirked and looked around. Sam groaned.
“Castiel I swear if you’re on one of the bookshelves again-” He was cut off by my loud moan as Cas sped up his movements.
“Well this isn’t awkward at all..” He murmured under his breath before he walked away. Dean stayed and stood there, trying to find out where Cas and I were this time. I saw his eyes widen. Cas must have made us visible again. Dean gulped and adjusted himself in his pants.
“Dude, I put my food on that table!” He said with a frown.
I felt my walls tighten around Cas. I let out a scream before I came around his cock. He groaned loudly into my ear before I felt his warm seed spilling inside of me. He then pulled out and with one snap of his fingers, we were clean and had our clothes back on.
“Hello Dean,” said Castiel as he finally turned to look at him. I gulped and jumped off of the table. I had a small satisfyed smirk on my lips.
“Your turn, De.” I said as I slowly made my way to him.
“Disgusting!” Yelled Sam from the corridor. After that I could only concentrate on how Dean’s lips perfectly fit mine.

Castiel (Supernatural/Grimm) - Short Story - Chapter 3
Tumblr media
Grabbing the bag of chips out of the vending machine, you straightened.
This is by far the craziest thing Diana's ever done and she once turned your brother into a woman. Looking at your watch, you’re not surprised that the hands have stopped moving. It’s strange how normal everything seems here.
You’ve always wondered about the whole multiverse situation, you just assumed there would be more differences. Like a version of you that’s a librarian, or fairies or maybe even superheroes. Something completely foreign to your own world. The weirdest thing you’ve heard so far is monsters and at this point that’s just your life.
“Are you alright?”
You jump at the voice and Castiel takes a step back.
“My apologies.”
You shake your head, gripping your snack.
“I-It’s okay.”
You curse yourself for stuttering. You have no idea why you’re acting so awkward around him.
“Did Sam and Dean find something?”
“No, but I’m positive they’ve already started to research. It may be a while before we have any results.”
You expect as much.
“Thanks for checking on me.”
“Of course.”
For a moment the silence is a bit awkward. You’re alternating between looking at your hands and the floor. You wish he would just go back in. You’re not sure if you’ll even be able to make eye contact without turning into a puddle.
“You’re beautiful.”
You look up, clearly a bit stunned. You expect something, bashfulness maybe, but his expression displays sincerity. You’re not sure how, but when he looks at you, it’s almost like he truly sees you. Not the tough exterior you wear, but every part, the rough and the vulnerable.
You’re at a loss, because now you’re certain you’re not imagining it, this man has wings, they’re a beautiful multicolored hue. The shimmering glow around his face is what you can only assume as a halo. You’re never seen anything like this and you’ve probably encountered almost every Wesen in the book already. There’s a part of you that wants to reach out, touch it, touch him.
“Hey love birds! We got a lead.”
Your head snaps in Dean’s direction. Sam is standing right behind him, both of them have bags on their shoulders.
You send one glance to Castiel before you side step, following them to the car. Castiel trails off right behind you.
Once you’re all in the car, Dean fills you in.
“There’s been some weird activity in Portland. Sammy found a news article that popped up about about two hours ago. Apparently someone saw a blinding white light in a local mini mart, sounds familiar?”
You nod.
“That’s Diana, it has to be.”
“Our thoughts exactly. Figured the sooner we head on the road the better.”
You don’t need any more convincing.
“Alright kids, buckle up and please, no kissing in the back seat.”
“Don’t make me stab you Dean.”
Sam chuckles and Dean just laughs as he pulls out of the motel driveway. His little nervous glance in the mirror confirms that he’ll probably refrain from making any more remarks in the foreseeable future.

TITLE :   in the arms of an angel . PAIRINGS :   early seasons!castiel x reader. PROMPT :   imagine waking up from a particularly bad nightmare and cas comforting you.  WARNINGS : mentions of blood,  guts and corpses from a violent nightmare . panic attacks .
THE NIGHTMARE WAS TORTURE WITH NO PLOT  .     were it not for the demon wards scattered across the room,  you would’ve thought it was down to someone actively trying to hurt you and not just an over reactive imagination .  you could feel the blood stick to your skin even as your body shot up,  your ears ringing and straining,  still hearing the screams in your mind  -  there were so many bodies,  mangled and twisted into nothing but mush of guts   -  you could see the way the people alive would get cut down,  you tried to save them,  tried to run towards them and protect them from the unknown entity in the dark -  but you couldn’t,  WEAK the shadow monster screamed as you failed to reach them,  PATHETIC it repeated going onto the next victim  .  it wouldn’t stop,  when will it stop  ?   UNTIL EVERYONE YOU LOVE IS DEAD .   it was then dean came into view,  sam ...  castiel ...  your hands flew over your ears and you screamed,  not truly registering that you’re awake and rocking on the bed,  your mind far too focused on the imagery that it previously threw at you to really have a grasp on reality  .
YOU HEAR YOUR NAME  .  it’s gentle but urgent,   you try to focus but it simply slips away in favor of the nightmare  -  there it is again,  firmer this time followed with a hand on your shoulder that did nothing but make you flinch violently away .  but the person wouldn’t stop,  wouldn’t ease until you were back in reality,  back with him  .   you feel a dip in the bed,  this time both hands placed on shoulders firmly,  giving a comforting squeeze  -  your name again,  but this time it was your nickname  .  eyes flew open and the moment they do,  the crying only seems to get worse,  though it was the form of relief than anything else .
“  I HEARD YOUR DISTRESS CALL,  i came as soon as i could - “  castiel wasn’t very good at comforting,  though he makes up for it all with his want to do good .   you say nothing,  even if you wanted to it was impossible with the violent wheezes and gasps from the panic attack that seemed adamant on staying  -  instead,  you open your arms out,  the man takes a moment to understand -  the minute he does he’s dragging you into his arms,  a hug that was gentle but grounded you as much as it could in the moment .  the angel simply lets you cry,  lets you weep,  sob and shake  -  from what he does understand from human emotions,  from dean and sam,  it’s about letting ones like these run its course .   in your state,  it wasn’t smart to try and rush it along .  so instead,  he shuts his eyes and runs a hand through your hair,  playing with the strands and brushing them of their knotted state .   then he decides to try something new  .
HE SINGS .   in his mother tongue :  enochian .    the sound is similar to that of a choir,  low and gravelly with a sweet undertone that has your sobs silencing  -  it takes a while,  but it happens,  like subconsciously you’re trying to hear the man better .    he doesn’t stop,  not even when you fall limp in his arms from emotional exhaustion,  in fact when that happens he just scoops you up in to his arms more,  practically cradling you and wanting to do anything to protect you from both the outside world and your own mind .   your ear is pressed against his chest,  there’s no heartbeat,  but the vibrations are more soothing than any regular beat .    your eyes open,  staring up at the man with tearful eyes .  you swear,  in that exact moment,  you could see a halo,  a glow that eloped him that you couldn’t help but gaze at in awe,  even in your state .
“ C -  CASTIEL  ?  “   it hurts to speak,  but somehow you manage .  his singing instantly stops,  you already miss the sound .   his eyes open and stare down at you,  head tilts in question,  eyebrow raising,  urging you to continue without saying a word  “ TH -  THANK YOU “  you don’t want to talk about it,    he knows that too  .  but he’s already aware of the images that went on in your mind,  he wishes he could’ve been there to take them away,  to stop them  -  it’s the first time he’s felt truly powerless .
“ THAT’S ...  QUITE ALRIGHT .  though a thanks isn’t needed “  voice low,  a borderline whisper as he brushes his fingertips across your cheek  “  you are tired,  you need sleep .  i won’t leave you  “  quickly added on at your panicked expression,  not helping but using a small dose of his grace to help you melt back into him  “  i will watch over you “

castiel x reader: can we be strong
[a song sprint to Cold War Kids’ Can We Hang On. little on the angsty end, but i won’t apologise for that. thanks for reading!]
*
You couldn't recall the name of the bar, couldn't recall exactly how far you had run to get away from the motel, away from the worried faces, away from him.
A quiet exchange of words, a conflict of interests, misplaced accusations-
His calm features had clouded over in the course of mere seconds, your own temper rising to greet it.
Always the strategist, always the warrior-
He chose the words that would cripple you, two rapid-fire strikes that ripped all fight from you, left you struggling to find purchase of any kind in your surroundings.
There was no mercy in his eyes, only the cold, calculatory, cerulean Celestial glare that had witnessed the Great Flood, that had surveyed the siege on Bahgdad. He was unaffected by how his own words had wounded you, expression passive as you felt your control slipping away, moisture limiting your perception, a chill carving deep in your bones.
You had rushed away, barely thinking to grab your jacket and wallet before rushing out into the fogged evening, boots pounding against asphalt and cement and grass as you kept running, desperate to put as much distance between you and Castiel as physically possible.
You had heard Sam's voice calling out to you, his own footsteps fading away as you kept going, adrenaline and pain propelling you to a reckless speed you would not have considered in any other scenario.
You kept running, constantly rubbing at your eyes in effort to stop your tears, his words replaying in your head in a steady refrain, shards digging deeper and deeper with each repetition.
You tried to reassure yourself; Castiel couldn't have meant any of it. He must have spoken out of anger, using the dirtiest form of self-defence to stop you from hurting him.
The logic had you slowing, steadily reducing your speed to a stroll, awareness coming back to you.
He loved you.
It wasn't intentional.
He loved you.
He didn't mean it.
He loved you.
But that didn't mean that his words hadn't hurt.
If you knew the Seraph, his face had most likely crumbled almost immediately after your departure, regret consuming him before you had even made it past the parking lot.
Dean probably was giving him the lecture of the millennium, and Sam undoubtedly was worrying beyond all comprehension.
You felt your head droop, eyes studying the sidewalk as you continued to walk on.
There had been a time when Castiel had been the skip to your pulse, when his smile alone could make you feel as if you could fly, when the blue of his eyes was the only colour you would dream of.
There was a time- years ago, now- when you had both tumbled awkwardly into the beginnings of your relationship, tripping over your words and unable to meet each other's eyes whenever you would hold hands.
You had both grown together- you into an adept Hunter, he into a more autonomous Being- every battle you faced together an intricate dance routine easier than breathing.
Like an idiot, you had ignored the signs of his discontent, had feigned ignorance of his increasing irritability, pretended the sparks of irritation igniting infernos out of formerly pleasant banter weren't born from a deeper problem.
The orange glow of neon caught your attention, the familiar scent of woodsmoke and the rumble of classic country successfully snagging your interest.
A drink. A moment to think.
Water was the only thing you craved, and soon you found yourself sitting in one of the black stools, arms folded under you as you rested your elbows on the counter, your corner of the room cast in soft blue light.
Why had you let things spiral so far out of control?
If you had just talked to him-
When had you reached the point in your relationship when you felt it easier to keep things quiet, as opposed to the beginning when you could so clearly, freely, openly share everything with one another?
You couldn't help but wonder what would happen if he decided you were no longer worth the effort, if he was finally through masquerading.
Where would it leave you?
Where would you be now, if he hadn't been there with you for all these years?
Where would he be, if you hadn't fought so hard to save him?
The thought teased a fresh bout of tears, and you quickly downed several swallows of your drink to contain them.
With the passing hour, you slowly came back to yourself, dragging the tattered fragments of your pride back to where they belonged.
The boys were probably having a field day; you noticed with bemusement that you had forgotten your phone in all the emotional chaos.
You requested one more drink- this time a soda- and fell back into your seat with a sigh, eyes closing as you whispered his name, a prayer and a plea woven together into one.
You were unsurprised to find that he had yet to arrive; perhaps he had finally reached his breaking point.
The thought elicited a bitter laugh, falling past your lips as you once more slouched over the counter, studying your reflection in the glossy finish.
Tomorrow, you decided, you would try to make your apologies.
Tomorrow, you would demand his.
Tomorrow, you would finally have the conversation both of you had been avoiding for months.
That was, of course, if your head would let you move past his final words to you, would let you finish the night with some sort of sanity.
You were on the cusp of considering another motel when you felt his presence, years of living with him having long ago attuned your senses to the space he occupied, to the sounds of his feet on the floor, to the way the world would shudder so slightly with his arrival.
Unwilling to abandon your comfort entirely, you only turned your head to face him, features softening as you took in his haggard appearance.
He breathed out your name, the regret in his shoulders and the furrow of his brow earning your forgiveness before he could even request it.
Who were you kidding; you would forgive him for casting all the stars from the sky if he asked it of you.
You offered a watery smile, gesturing to the empty stool beside you, the weight on your shoulders lifting significantly when he accepted the invitation.
Together, you had weathered worse storms than this, had vanquished demons far more formidable, conquered monsters far more powerful.
The conversation ahead would hurt, undoubtedly.
There was a chance that you had lost the opportunity to talk things through, that the words he had chosen to cut you wouldn't scar over entirely, that this December-mayfly romance had already met its end.
But dammit all-
You were selfish.
You were going to hang onto Castiel for as long as you could.
Forever, hopefully.

Seeing the Stars
Castiel X Reader
It was midnight and Dean, Sam and I had just arrived back at the motel. I look up to see the whole sky is blanketed in pure black without a star in the sky. Three months have passed since all angels fell from heaven and during that time I have joined the Winchesters on their hunting trips. I had to get used to human life fairly quickly once I fell and I still have many difficulties understanding the humans strange customs.
"Those vampires were a bitch…bar anyone?" Dean asks the two of us whilst already heading in the direction of the bar across the street from where we are currently standing. But suddenly, a metallic thrumming noise starts from the alley way to our left.
"Can you guys hear that or is it just me?" Sam, the younger Winchester, asks with a confused yet curious expression on his face.
"Never get a break around here…" Dean mutters quietly under his breath. The three of us start walking towards the alley where the noise appears to be coming from. At the end of the narrow aisle, a strange blue blur is appearing in and out of my vision. Is this some kind of demon trick?
The three of us inch our way to the strange sight ahead of us at the end of the alley, weapons in our hands. The blue blur takes a few seconds until it starts to materialize into an actual sight. A blue box with the words 'Police Phone Box' stand in front of me and it comes in and out of my view a few more times before it stops.
"Uh, Cas. Any idea here?" Dean asks me with wide eyes. I don't reply because honestly, I'm just as clueless right now. So instead I just shrug and the three of us start to move closer to the box ahead.
Out of nowhere though, the door is burst open by a man with a bow tie and shaggy brown hair who quickly takes in the sight of myself and the two Winchesters on either side of me as well as our, not so concealed, weapons.
"Uh, there's no need for weapons. I'm not here to hurt you." The man says with his hands slightly up as if in surrender. What is this blue box? I've never seen something like this. It just appeared... seemingly out of thin air.
"Who are you and what the hell is that?" Dean shouts at the man in apprehension and fear of the unknown.
"I'm the Doctor and this is the TARDIS. She's my ship. Who are you?" The Doctor asks.
"This is Dean and Sam Winchester," I say with glances at the two hunters. ", and my name is Castiel. I am an angel of the Lord." I say to the man in front of me.
"An angel? Well, I haven't seen an angel in centuries. Please come in. Let me show you around." The Doctor says, ushering us all into his TARDIS. Seen an angel? So he's met my kind before...
Who is this man? I have never heard of this Doctor, although he seems to know of my kind. Walking into the box, I look around and stop. I can vaguely hear Dean shouting how we won't all fit in here, but stepping into the box, I see that it is bigger on the inside. How? This technology is more advanced than humans possess. If only I was an angel… then maybe I could do something. But I do not believe this man wants to hurt us.
"Cas, man. Get out of there." I hear Dean shout from the outside. The Doctor leans against what looks like the control console of this contraption.
"Dean, Sam. It's fine. There's nothing to fear. We'll all easily fit." I shout back to the two brothers standing outside. "What is this?" I ask the Doctor who has gone to a screen behind me and is looking at it intently and focused.
Behind me, Sam and Dean slowly and anxiously walk into the Tardis, guns in hand. "Weapons away. You won't be hurt in here." The Doctor says with a glance at the two and a confused glance towards me. Why?
"Y/N, come in here. We have guests." The man with the bow tie exclaims out of nowhere.
"No need to shout. I'm here." A girl with (Y/H/C) hair comes bouncing down the glass stairs on my left. Wow. She's beautiful. I've never seen a girl like her. The way she walks with such confidence. "Who are these people Doctor?" She asks the man with a friendly smile.
"Y/N, this is Sam and Dean Winchester. They stopped the apocalypse." He says motioning to the two behind me. Wait, How does he know that? Both are still looking in awe at their surroundings when they finally notice the girl called Y/N. Their eyes are focused on the girl in front of us and both walk forwards to be closer. She is stunning.
"Hello." She says with a soft angelic voice."I'm (Y/N) (L/N). This is the TARDIS. It's bigger on the inside due to sciency things, but I'm sure the Doctor hasn't explained a thing to you, going by your expressions that is." She says with a laugh towards the Doctor. "I guess you've never been in a time machine before. Wait apocalypse?" She says with a shock at the end, changing the subject.
"Against Lucifer." I offer to her. Turning her head, her (E/C) eyes meet my ice blue ones and all over I feel a warm feeling.
"Lucifer. What like the devil?" She asks and I nod my head as an answer, not being able to keep my eyes off her. "Huh, I thought they were just old stories you know, hell, heaven. In the future, religion really isn't a big thing. Nearly non-existent. Oh and you are?" She finally asks for my name in a sweet voice. Religion isn't a big thing, the future?
"Did you say the future?" Sam asks the girl. Her head turns away from me before I can answer and she starts to talk to Sam. For some reason I feel disappointment and another strange feeling to her talking to another man.
"Yes. I'm not from this time. I'm from the 51st century and live in what you would call London. Doctor what's going on?" She asks confidently. Her eyes shine with hope and dreams... and even a bit of rebelliousness.
"I found them outside. I've been wanting to meet you three for a long time. The ones that stopped armaggedon and that fight between the two archangels." The Doctor says whilst rapidly turning to us. His eyes are blazing with curiosity. "You've never met an angel have you (Y/N)?" He asks the girl.
"No. I haven't. Why? One of you aren't angels are you?" She says with the same curiosity in her bright (E/C) eyes as the Doctor. Her eyes shift amongst the three of us.
"My name is Castiel, I'm an angel of the Lord... or was." I say,my eyes falling to the glass floor.
"I was wondering about that. Where is your grace Castiel?" The Doctor asks, looking between the screen and I. That must be why he keeps looking at me strangely.
"Heaven was closed up and the angels fell. My grace was stolen by another angel, thus making me human."
"All angels fell?" (Y/N) asks me, stepping forward slightly.
"The trials right?" The Doctor asks. I don't say anything but stand in silent shock. How could he know that? "I'll take your silence as a yes." He says before checking more equipment on the console.
"How the hell do you know so much?" Dean asks angrily, obviously getting annoyed at the man's vagueness about himself. "Who are you?"
"You haven't told them?" The girl asks with a shake of her head before leaning on the console.
"I'm getting to it." The doctor replies, waving his hands at her to stop leaning on the controls. "So I'm the Doctor. I'm a Timelord from the planet Gallifrey and I'm very old. I'm basically a madman with a box." He says quickly, seeming to be in a rush. Timelord? I've never heard of a Timelord or Gallifrey before. "Okay, you guys ready?"
"Ready? For what?" Sam asks the man.
"An adventure." The Doctor says with an excited glint in his eyes before pulling down a lever. Then the doors shut and the room lurches up slightly. The metallic thrumming noise is heard again from the centre console of the room and everyone immediately goes to hold onto something to stop themselves from falling down. Sam, Dean and I are still in shock whereas (Y/N) and the Doctor are just laughing giddily to themselves.
"What the hell is going on?" Dean shouts from beside me.
"Wait and see." (Y/N) says calmly. Once the room stops shaking, the Doctor and (Y/N), who seems to be a companion of sorts, walk out of the room and step out of the doors. "Come on guys." She calls to us. Looking at each other, we slowly walk out the TARDIS and are shocked to see that we've moved.
"What..." Sam says, not being able to think of a solution for our shift in space. Laughing, (Y/N) and the Doctor look at us all and just walk around the place, commenting on the different species of people around us. Apparently we are not on Earth anymore and are on a planet far away. The Doctor says he just wanted us to see something and felt random at the time. I get the feeling that this is a normal occurrence with him.
During the day, the three of us had become settled into the new enviroment, Sam asking the Doctor plenty of questions about the universe and Dean trying every food he came across. I went a separate way, following (Y/N) as she showed me plenty of different things from a variety of cultures.
"Hey Cas. You hungry?" She asked me as she pulled me towards a cafe of sorts. "This place has great food. You'll love it." For some reason, I felt a connection towards this human girl from the future. She was beautiful, but it was more than that. I felt like I'd known her my whole life.
"Yes. I am actually." I answered to which she just smiled a breathtaking smile and pulled me to a table near a water display of sorts.
"Any idea what you want?" She asked me and when I looked at the menu I had no idea. As an angel, I never required food, but now, as a human, it was needed to keep me alive. Shaking my head at her, she smiled and ended up ordering for the both of us. "You'll like it, I swear." She says to me before starting on her food once it had arrived. I copied her way of eating, with both hands, the strange yet delicious food. I hummed in delight at the food in my hands.
All day I had been getting to know (Y/N) better, both of us asking questions about the other. She was interested in the fact that I was once an angel as she said that she had never heard of my kind. "(Y/N), if you don't mind me asking, but why did you join the Doctor on his trips?" I anxiously asked, hoping I hadn't 'crossed a line' as Dean says.
"Why not?" She replies with a laugh. "I had nothing keeping me home and I saw an opportunity to see the stars. Plus, I couldn't not go. Who wouldn't want to see the whole of time and space?" Thankfully I hadn't upset her but I'm curious as to what she means by 'having nothing to keep her home'.
"Why wouldn't you have anything at home?" I ask quietly. Her face dropped and I immediately started to regret my question. "I... I'm sorry. Forget I asked." I hurriedly say before she cuts me off.
"No it's fine, Cas. Really..." She says before stopping for a second. "My parents gave me away when I was a child and I grew up in an orphanage with a bunch of other kids. I never had a real family and all I had when I was older was my job. I was a soldier in the army but I lost my friends and squad due to an attack and I couldn't carry on. So I left the army and met the Doctor. We've been travelling together ever since..." She says and my hand immediately finds hers. I don't know why, but her soft small delicate hand in mine feels right.
Smiling at her, I become lost in her eyes. Bright with happiness yet hurt from her past at the same time. A slap on my back brings me out of my thoughts, and I notice how I had unconsciously moved closer to her. Both of us jump away from the close proximity and I turn around to see the Doctor along with the Winchesters smiling at us knowingly.
"Well. As much fun as the day has been, you should probably get back. Come on. I'll take you three back home in the TARDIS now." The Doctor states before walking back to the blue box that brought (Y/N) to me.
Walking with Dean and Sam, the two ask me about (Y/N). "So what? You like her?" Dean asks with a grin.
"Maybe...I don't know." I answer but like isn't a strong enough word. There's just a connection between us two and I feel like she can see into my soul, if angels had one that is.
The two brothers laugh but quieten down by the time we arrive back at the TARDIS. All five of us enter the room and the Doctor immediately starts to set the controls to our time. The Winchesters and (Y/N) laugh about the differences between the present and the future as well as things they have seen today. The TARDIS starts making the same metallic thrumming noise and after a few seconds the Doctor opens the doors with a click of his fingers and I can see we are back where we started.
"Well. It was nice meeting you three. Today has been fun. If you ever have any alien trouble give me a call." The Doctor says before turning around to look at the screen once again.
"See ya Doc, Bye (Y/N)." Dean calls out with a wave before stepping out of the box.
"Yeah. Bye guys." Sam says before following his brother. Now I have to leave. I probably won't see her again.
"Goodbye Doctor. (Y/N)," I say, walking up to her where she is standing at the door saying goodbye to Sam and Dean. "I'll miss you. Goodbye." I reluctantly say before walking out of the box.
"Goodbye Castiel. I hope we meet again." She says with a smile and bright (E/C) eyes. She turns to close the door but I quickly grab her wrist.
"Stay with me." I ask her, wanting nothing more than to kiss her in that moment.
"I can't. I'm sorry. The Doctor... needs me. He can't be alone. It's not good for him." She answers, looking back at the Doctor worryingly. She told me how close the two were. Almost like brother and sister.
"Oh..." I say. Disappointment showing clearly on my face. "Well. Then I guess this is it." I reply, letting go of her wrist reluctantly. My hands already missing the contact.
She steps forward suddenly and grabs my face within her hands. She looms down at my lips before flitting her gaze to my ice blue eyes. I lean into her touch until I feel her soft lips brush against mine. I lose myself in the kiss, forgetting about the fact that I'll never see her again. My hands reach up to twist in her (H/L) (H/C) hair. After a minute we break apart.
She pulls away and steps backwards, back into the blue box behind her. "Goodbye Cas." She says with a sad smile that doesn't reach her eyes before closing the door between us. My shoulders visibly fall at that moment. Already missing the warmth I felt whenever she was near. After a few seconds the TARDIS starts humming that metallic noise and the wind around us starts to pick up slightly.
"Cas. You okay?" Dean asks me, placing a hand on my shoulder.
"No. But she'll be happy with the Doctor. Seeing the stars." And with that I walked away, never forgetting the girl that stole my heart within a day. Hopefully I'll see her again...
