Remuria looks stunning and Cassiodor, you really did follow your heart and a will to write your own fate. As what I have understood from the quest, Remus wants to defy the prophecy and fate of his people, by surrending their mortal body and cast them in a stone golem, however as Cassiodor mention, they are still mortal in essence. Boethius is blinded by power and put himself up to the pedestal. Phobos mention that they grant them their wishes, and cease their civilization in the end. It seems that Fate only happens when they only focus too much of the cause and temporary resolution, but not something out of the box, a long term resolve to save their people. It's like Remus is an opposite result of what will happen to current Fontaine.

It made me realize that, during archon quest act five, the prophecy still happened, however, the resolution that Focalor/ Furina is to trick celestia that the ending is doom and end of fontaine. The solution she made is to give back the authority to the rightful owner, which is the hydro dragon and grant them their wish, to be a full fledged human. He is the god of life after all. To continue to exist, and saved from the prophecy. Since Furina's divinity died to save fontaine, it made me think that the water flooded to fontaine is her power or her control over hydro ( the reason for the flood, then fate takes its course) , just like what happened to Havria, as per Zhongli, even though Havria is not that powerful , the death of a god still cause calamity to its people, hence the reason why they turn into statue covered in salt. (It's just sad to think that, Egeria has the authority since she was made to be the heart of primordial sea however, she is limited to do something to help the people before due to Celestia being a b*tch)

Remuria is interesting and maybe the old civilization demise is like a parallel to some current events in teyvat, if their god or their archon, made the same decision as it happens before. It's like history repeats itself, not to mention about the cycle that the ordo mention. There are lots of possible outcomes, it is just depends on which path they take and what's the best path to take action to.

(I have so many thoughts about the world quest, however I have to read again the artifact set, books and notes again to make sure I understand it right, so far the quest is short but beautiful, I love swimming along with Scylla while we made the final note that Remus gave to Scylla)

That... that "oath" sounds much more like a proposal than friendship, especially given after YEARS apart Errighenth still refers to Cassiodor as "MY (Cassiodor's birth name presumably)" and is still obviously fond of him/intends to remember said oath. Cassiodor also still thinks of her years (probably centuries given Remuria was destroyed at least 2,000 years ago) later. Tragic Remurian romance for the win ig?

Cassiodor mention? Did I just. Miss a ton of build up because I was like holy cow there’s so much new lore!! I knew that Remus was a guy, he had a boat and sailed around, and there was a golden bee and something called Fortuna because of those mentions with the archon quest. I was also vaguely aware of the lochknights from the fontinalia stuff. The new Remuria lore was insane man. I already liked the music things they’d been mentioning in like. The one melusine quest with the giant shell, the golden troupe and the weapon level up stuff but this was way beyond what I was expecting and I love it. And the vishaps!!! God I’m just. Excitedly stimming so much. Petrichor 10/10, excellent vibes

yeah man (genderneutral) i'm sorry to tell you but like- 80% of what was in the remuria world quest was not news. like it had all been there pretty much since the release of fontaine via weapon materials and artifact info and all that jazz. so like- yeah. i mean i'm not faulting you for not knowing or anything! but no, nothing was new.

i mean that's not true, the part about how scyla attacking was part of remus' plan was news (i think?), as well as quite a bit of stuff surrounding remus' final plan and how it all played out. and it's also true that while we had heavy clues towards what had happened with boethius, we had no confirmation (that i know of). so the world quest was basically yeah here's what actually happened.

to be perfectly honest i don't know that we had direct confirmation of the emmanuel guillotine - cassiodor link? like if you'd been reading the lore you'd have just known, but idk that it was ever spelled out for us.

basically the quest was there to confirm most of what we already new and give us some new info on stuff we would've had no way to know otherwise

either that or there were some of us on the lore corner doing some wild jumping to conclusions and landing them all correctly, which just- no. p sure it's more the quest confirming stuff.
