A summary of (the first half of) yesterday's Cassette Beasts session with me and my friends:

Don't worry, I did eventually get a Glass-type bootleg. It was a Masquerattle, the less-fun snake, but you have to take what you can get.

Finally got around to making a ref sheet for my Cassette Beasts avatar (more like a self-insert, but that's beside the point).

Although I'm also dating Felix in-game, Barkley won my heart out for being the best boy (and best dog!) in the game.

Ramtasm is my main transformation, but I also have a couple of others that I tend to transform more often than not (especially Spitzfyre). Those will come at a later date.

The idea of a Pomeranian dog partner by itself already reminds me of Missile the Pomeranian from Ghost Trick, who, like Barkley, also has orange and white coat.

As a dog lover, I can never resist dog companion characters in video games.

I mean, I knew the hearts were for something but I thought it was just friendship or someting. It wasn't until after I read the achievements in steam, after I had already done the guitar scene with Kayleigh that I undestood what happend. So yeah... here's a recreation of what happened:

K: Thanks for listening to this deeply personal stuff...

A) That's what friends are for. B) I could kiss you right now.

Me: That's what friends are for.

K: So... what did you think?

A) It was great! B) I could kiss you right now.

Me: *sharing a screenshot with my frinds laughing at the choices* It was Great!

No, I could not go back to a previous save.

Furtonately, I hadn't found all my partners by then and I could see if anyone else interested me. Unfurtonately, the new companion I found was Barkley. Furtonately, I found Viola later and, after some grinding, I got her to max hearts.

So yeah, quite the emotional rollecoaster.
