Latest additions to my collection. Heard Yo-Kai Watch was fun. Batman on the Wii is made by the excellent Wayforward, the makers of the Shantae series. As a huge fan of the early games, I couldn't resist getting the Assassin's Creed pack. I'm not usually one for collecting variants, except when there are differences in the game disc or cartridge itself. This variant contains both the first and second AC games on one disc. Now that we have some sunlight, I can take a decent picture of the two latest additions to my library. After the ending of KH3, I had the itch to play The World Ends With You, and I figured the best way to do that was to get the remaster on the Switch. The Fairune Collection by Super Rare Games is a limited physical release of a series of indie RPGs in an 8-bit style, which seemed pretty cool. Valiant Hearts finally has a physical release! Both Child of Light and Valiant hearts were made using the UbiArt Framework used to develop Rayman Origins. Since the engine is used for cartoon-y 2D graphics and so is not suitable for Ubisoft's usual open-world sandbox games, they let some auteurs have a go with some novel ideas. Child of Light is a RPG that basically feels like you're playing through a children's bedtime story (with a soundtrack by the amazing @beatricepirate!). Valiant Hearts is a puzzle-adventure game based on letters written by a German soldier in the first World War. I played through Child of Light on the Vita and loved it. I have not tried out Valiant Hearts yet, but I've heard great things. Latest additions to my collection. I wanted a GBA e-Reader since I was in primary school, but never came across one growing up, and could not find one on eBay at a reasonable price. This is the Japanese e-Reader +, which is the same (and only) version the West got. It's an interesting gadget; you scan a card with a specific kind of barcode to play games or unlock content in games. I remember several sets of Pokémon TCG cards released with such barcodes on them. This brings me to my second purchase - Let's Go Eevee. After watching the review by @thecompletionist, I thought it was worth a shot. I guess my sub-theme for the day is strategy games, as my post for day 21 of #rcecollectember2018 is Warsong for the Sega Genesis. Also known as Langrisser in Japan, this game's only release in the west was in the States. Apparently, however, it's getting a remake on the PS4 and Switch alongside its sequel. Not sure if I want to play the original or wait for the remake.
