They offer a range of taxi services, including regular taxis and app-based booking options, similar to other popular ride-hailing services.
Please note that the popularity of taxi companies can change over time, and new companies might have gained prominence since my last update. I recommend checking with more recent sources or local sources to get the most up-to-date and accurate information about the current popular taxi company in Delhi.
Does GTC Cabs work in Delhi?
Yes, GTC Cabs does work in Delhi. They provide a variety of taxi services in Delhi, including:
Airport taxi
Outstation taxi
City taxi
Car rental
Carpooling
Sharing taxi
GTC Cabs is a reliable and affordable taxi service in Delhi. They have a fleet of modern taxis that are well-maintained and clean. The drivers are also well-trained and experienced.
You can book a GTC Cab online or by calling their customer care number. They offer a variety of payment options, including cash, credit card, and debit card.
Here are some of the pros and cons of using GTC Cabs in Delhi:
Pros:
Affordable prices
Reliable service
Clean and well-maintained taxis
Experienced drivers
Variety of payment options
Available 24 hours a day
Cons:
Not as many taxis as some other taxi companies in Delhi
Some drivers may not be familiar with all parts of the city
Can be difficult to get a taxi during peak hours
Overall, GTC Cabs is a good option for taxi service in Delhi. They are affordable, reliable, and have a variety of services to choose from. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a taxi in Delhi.
Who is India's trusted outstation taxi partner?
The choice of a trusted outstation taxi partner can vary based on individual preferences, regions, and specific requirements. However, there are several well-known taxi and ride-hailing companies in India that provide outstation services and are generally considered reliable:
GTC Cabs: GTC Cabs is a dedicated car rental service in India that specializes in outstation trips. They have a presence in various cities and provide options for one-way and round-trip journeys.
Ola Outstation: Ola is a popular ride-hailing service in India that offers outstation taxi services. It's available in many cities and has a wide network of drivers.
Uber Intercity: Uber, another major ride-hailing platform in India, also provides intercity or outstation taxi services in some cities.
Meru Cabs: Meru Cabs, as mentioned earlier, is a well-established taxi service in India that offers outstation rides along with local taxi services.
MakeMyTrip and Goibibo: These travel platforms also offer outstation taxi booking services as part of their travel packages.
It's important to note that the availability and reputation of these services can vary from city to city, and it's recommended to check recent reviews, ratings, and current availability in the specific city or region you're interested in. Additionally, new services might have emerged since my last update, so I recommend checking local sources and online reviews for the most up-to-date information.
What is the price of taxi in Delhi per km?
Taxi fares in Delhi can vary depending on the type of taxi service, the time of day, and other factors. As of my last update in September 2021, here's a general idea of taxi fares in Delhi:
Regular Taxi (Non-AC): The base fare for regular non-air-conditioned taxis in Delhi is typically around ₹25-30, with an additional charge of around ₹14-16 per kilometer.
AC Taxi: Air-conditioned taxis usually have a slightly higher base fare, starting around ₹25-30, and an additional charge of around ₹16-20 per kilometer.
App-Based Ride Services (e.g., Ola, Uber): App-based ride services like Ola and Uber offer varying rates based on the type of vehicle you choose (e.g., Micro, Mini, Prime, etc.) and factors like surge pricing during peak hours. The base fare can start around ₹25-30, with per-kilometer rates ranging from ₹6-12 or more, depending on the service and vehicle category.
Please note that these are approximate fare ranges and could have changed since my last update. Additionally, taxi rates can also be influenced by factors like government regulations, fuel prices, and any changes introduced by taxi service providers. It's recommended to check directly with the taxi company or use the app-based services to get the most accurate and up-to-date fare information for your specific ride in Delhi.
How much is a taxi from Delhi airport to Dehradun?
The taxi fare from Delhi Airport (Indira Gandhi International Airport) to Dehradun can vary based on the type of taxi, the service provider, and other factors.
Regular Taxi: The fare for a regular non-air-conditioned taxi from Delhi Airport to Dehradun could range from ₹3,000 to ₹4,000 or more.
AC Taxi: For an air-conditioned taxi, the fare might start around ₹3,500 to ₹4,500 or more.
App-Based Ride Services (e.g., GTC Cabs, Ola, Uber): App-based services like Ola and Uber might also offer rides for this route. The fare can vary based on the type of vehicle you choose and any surge pricing that might apply. As of my last update, the fare could be in the range of ₹2,500 to ₹3,500 or more.
Please note that these are approximate fare ranges and can change due to factors like fuel prices, government regulations, and any updates from taxi service providers. It's recommended to check with taxi companies directly or use app-based ride services to get the most accurate and up-to-date fare information for your specific trip from Delhi Airport to Dehradun.
Why GTC Cabs is no. #1 in Uttarakhand?
If "GTC Cabs" is indeed considered the number one taxi service in Uttarakhand, there could be various reasons for their success:
Quality of Service: They might be providing exceptional customer service, reliable vehicles, and well-trained drivers, which can contribute to a positive reputation.
Affordability: Offering competitive and reasonable prices for their services can attract a larger customer base.
Wide Coverage: If they cover a wide range of destinations within Uttarakhand and have a strong presence in various cities, it could contribute to their popularity.
User-Friendly Technology: Utilizing user-friendly apps or online platforms for easy booking and tracking of rides can enhance the customer experience.
Safety Measures: Implementing stringent safety measures and protocols can build trust among customers.
Word of Mouth and Reviews: Positive reviews and recommendations from satisfied customers can significantly contribute to a taxi service's reputation.
Innovative Offerings: Providing unique features or services that differentiate them from competitors can attract more customers.
Local Knowledge: Having drivers who are familiar with the local routes and can offer insights to travelers can be an advantage.
It's important to note that the perception of being number one can vary based on individual experiences and preferences. If you're seeking specific information about why "GTC Cabs" is considered number one in Uttarakhand, I recommend checking local sources, reviews, and the official communication from the company for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

Car Shipping Us 9412 - DIY Transport, Inc
The Best Way To Get From Point A To Point B We all know how important it is to get from point A to point B as quickly and efficiently as possible. Unfortunately, this isn’t always easy or convenient. That’s where technology comes in. From ride-sharing to carpooling, there are plenty of options available to make getting around town a lot easier. And if you’re looking for ways to cut down on your commute, you should check out these five tech solutions. Car Shipping Us 9412 The Different Types of Transportation There are many types of transportation available to get from Point A to Point B. Some options include walking, biking, cars, buses, trains, and boats. Walking is a great way to get around if you have enough time and want to explore different neighborhoods. However, if you need to get somewhere fast, walking may not be the best option. Biking can be a great way to get around town if you have the time for it. Bicycle lanes are usually well-marked and traffic tends to move more slowly in bike lanes than in other areas of a city. Bike commuting can also be very rewarding, both in terms of environmental benefits and personal fitness gains. Cars are definitely one of the most popular forms of transportation. They’re convenient for getting from Point A to Point B on short trips and can accommodate a lot of people and cargo. However, they’re not always the best option for long trips or for getting around dense urban areas. Bus rides can be quite long depending on the route you take, but they’re often cheaper than car rides and go through some less congested parts of cities. Trains can also be quite convenient for long trips if you have plenty of time; however, they can be quite expensive compared to other forms of transportation. Boats are another great option for getting around town; they offer a unique perspective that few other forms of transportation provide. Bo Taking The Bus The best way to get from point A to point B may be different for everyone, but there are several bus options available that can get you where you need to go. When searching for the right bus option, it is important to consider the time of day, the location, and the price. There are several types of buses available, depending on what you are looking for. Local buses run frequently between major cities and towns and are perfect if you are looking for an economical option. Regional buses cover wider areas but may be less frequent or have more complicated schedules. Intercity buses connect larger cities and offer more comfortable seats and amenities, but they can be more expensive. If time is not a concern, flying can also be an option; however, this can be more expensive and less convenient. Taking the Train There are many different ways to get from one point to another, and the best way to choose depends on what you're looking for. Some of the most popular methods of transportation include walking, biking, cars, buses, and trains. When deciding which mode of transport to use, it's important to consider the distance between the two points, the time it will take to travel that distance, and the cost of tickets or passes. One great way to save money on transportation is to take the train. Trains can be a great option for long-distance travel because they're often faster than other modes of transportation and they're cheaper than flying. Plus, train stations tend to be centrally located so you won't have to hunt for a parking spot or worry about getting lost in an unfamiliar city. If you're short on time or want to avoid driving during peak traffic hours, taking a bus may be a better option. Buses usually arrive more frequently than trains and they don't require any advance planning – just show up at the bus stop when you want to get on. Plus, buses can get crowded so it's important to plan your route carefully if you want to avoid being stuck in close quarters with other passengers.

I’ve been interested in getting started in druidry for a while, but I have a really hard time self-studying without someone else to hold me accountable in person, but I live alone in the Quad Cities and the only druid groups I know are over an hour away and I have a hard time justifying the ecological impact of making that journey. Thoughts?
Thank you for this really important question! As druids I believe it is almost universal that we should have concern for the environment, and sometimes we need to scrutinize our actions or try to rationalize them.
I have a few questions to which I don’t necessarily need an answer, but are aimed to help you explore some options.
Is there an intercity bus route that can get you close enough to your destination? I think I heard that bus travel has the equivalent of 150-180 “passenger miles” per gallon depending on the number of passengers.
I’m going to guess that you have a vehicle at your disposal. Does it have a higher-than-average fuel economy? If not, are you in a comfortable financial situation that you could consider purchasing a more efficient vehicle?
This is not a paid endorsement, but I bought a new Chevy Spark in 2016, and I’m getting a lifetime average of 43 MPG with my driving habits over the last three years. It is the #1 most affordable new car of 2019 and has high safety ratings. It is a really small car and it doesn’t accelerate quickly, but that’s the price of being more eco-friendly.
I’m assuming you’re in the Iowa-Illinois border Quad Cities? (There’s a cluster of mining towns in the Iron Range of northern Minnesota also called the Quad Cities, but there are only like 20,000 people there.) Assuming Iowa-Illinois Quad Cities, I would next check out local metaphysical shops like Crystal Palace in Moline. You could ask the proprietor if they have a community bulletin board you could tack a flyer on to try to generate local interest in a study group or druid group, or propose carpooling to the group that’s an hour away.
You could do the same at bulletin boards at public and community colleges in the area to generate local interest, too. It takes a bit of courage do do that, but it could be worth a try.
How do you feel about buying carbon offsets? Or planting trees to bring balance to your impact on the environment?
I calculated that if I were to make an hour-long journey and back home again in my Chevy Spark twice a month for a year, I would only need to plant four trees to make up for the CO2 emissions. If you drive an SUV, you would need to plant 12 trees (or 8 trees for a midsize sedan) annually, and that only covers meeting up with the other druid group.
There’s a carbon emissions & tree-planting calculator [here].
My other suggestion would be to make the journey a multi-purpose adventure or help in additional ways.
Can you make an occasional camping trip out of these travels?
Can you visit nearby places of natural beauty as sacred pilgrimages?
Do you pick up litter to mitigate damage to the environment?
Could you join an “Adopt a Highway” group?
Is there a local food co-op near your destination that you can support?
Make offerings to the gods in exchange for a blessing on your journey?
If you feel any of these questions merit further dialog or inspire additional questions I would be more than happy to help!

Intercity commuters are a puzzle for Chinese officials
FEW CHILDREN grow up dreaming of being a commuter. But there is a logic to a life spent between a city job and a home in some quiet, affordable spot. The first modern suburbs sprang up to greet trains puffing out of Victorian London. As countries such as Japan, France and Spain invested in high-speed trains, travelling at 250kph or more, new pairs of cities found themselves an hour or so apart, allowing for previously unthinkable commutes.

Now it is China’s turn. Planners did not have commuters in mind when they began building the world’s largest high-speed rail system just over a decade ago. They started with national trunk lines and regional spurs, to bind together a vast country and boost growth. Now, with more than 35,000km of lines laid, planners are building more intercity routes, creating conditions for fast, short hops. One study in 2018, using mobile-phone data to track movements, found tens of thousands of people commuting from neighbouring cities into Shanghai, a megalopolis of 24m. Most of them came from Suzhou, a historic city half an hour away by fast train.
Last year the Journal of Transport & Health, an international outlet, published a survey of such pioneering riders. The typical respondent was a married man with one or two children, a middling-to-high income and a university degree. Three-quarters became long-distance commuters only after the arrival of high-speed rail. More of them describe intercity travel as a route to a better job than to a higher quality of life. Indeed, many call commuting stressful, and something to do “when they are young”, notes a co-author of the survey, Chia-Lin Chen of the University of Liverpool. China’s high-speed railways do not sell season tickets to commuters, who must often scramble to secure daily tickets on trains meant for long-distance travellers. Moreover, to promote newly built districts, high-speed railway stations are often built far from existing city centres, obliging commuters to travel long distances from stations to workplaces. All this exacts a toll on marriages and families, says Ms Chen.
The Xiao Langfang housing complex is a cluster of apartment blocks in the small, nondescript city of Langfang, 60km from central Beijing. It is an excellent base for commuting—a seven-minute walk from a high-speed railway stop that is, in turn, a 21-minute ride from Beijing South station. The one-way fare is 28 yuan ($4.33). It is a friendly spot. On a mid-week afternoon, its landscaped grounds are thronged with children flying kites, yapping lapdogs and old women playing cards in the winter sun. Above all, here in the northern province of Hebei, just outside Beijing’s city limits, property is cheap. Apartments in Xiao Langfang sell for 15,000 yuan a square metre. A comparable flat in Beijing could easily cost six times as much.
Shao Zeyu, a young father playing with his five-year-old son in the compound’s gardens, met his wife in Beijing and rented a home with her there for years. They left the capital after their child was born. Mr Shao’s legally registered hometown is Langfang, while his wife is from Tianjin, a nearby coastal city. Mr Shao’s mother lives in Langfang, so she can offer both love and free child care. But the family faced constraints, too. It is very hard to obtain a new household-registration permit, or hukou, from Beijing, a city that Chinese leaders consider full. Without a Beijing hukou, the Shao family could not easily gain access to many public services in that city, including school places. So they left.
The train has been a boon. Initially, his wife carpooled from Langfang to her job in northern Beijing. She left at 5:30am and reached her desk before most colleagues, allowing her to return home early to see her son. In bad traffic the journey could take three hours each way, and left her exhausted. The fast train to Beijing enables her to leave home at seven. That makes the Shao family lucky. Many friends work such brutal hours, until nine or ten each evening, that they come home only at weekends. Mr Shao himself used to work similar hours for a computer-games firm in Beijing, and is now looking for a job he can do locally. Because Tianjin is affordable and offers better schools and an easier route to university, the family expects to move there when their son is older. Mr Shao’s wife plans to commute by train from Tianjin.
In China working nine-to-five is a luxury
Such hyper-mobility is new in China. The government is promoting a new form of urban development that embraces multi-city clusters, including one uniting Beijing and Tianjin. But the aim is to make it more appealing to live in a wider range of secondary cities and new towns, not to create alternative routes to work in central Beijing. In 2016 the Communist Party boss of Hebei said that Langfang “absolutely cannot become a dormitory town for those who work in Beijing”. Indeed, China’s tax system currently punishes commuter towns. Someone who works in Beijing pays taxes and social-security contributions into the capital’s coffers, even when sleeping each night in Langfang. Locals murmur that officials in Langfang blocked moves to call a housing development “Shouzhan”, meaning “First Stop” on the line from Beijing.
The authorities in Langfang want new residents to live and work in their city. They recently eased restrictions on outsiders buying property there, allowing them to invest if they make six months’ worth of social-security payments to Langfang’s fund (on top of payments made elsewhere). But Langfang should be realistic, suggests a local property-salesman. He calls his home town a place where newlyweds and those starting families will choose to live until they can afford to move on.
In truth, Langfang’s greatest asset is being a convenient stop on the way to bigger places. That is a puzzle for officials rewarded for developing the place under their charge, not for facilitating the restless ambitions of individuals. China’s high-speed railways are a spectacular economic achievement. Their impact on society may prove as dramatic, if officials allow it.■

This Company Just Solved The One-Way Car Rental Problem
MirrorTrip co-founder and COO Cameron Lang (left) and CEO Reece Griffin.
Call it the one-way car rental problem.
If you rent a vehicle and return it to the same location, you can usually find a competitive rate. But rent the car in one place and return it somewhere else — a one-way rental — and you’ll pay hundreds, and sometimes thousands, of dollars more.
Why? Car rental companies charge hefty dropoff fees to give drivers an incentive to return the vehicle to their original location.
But what if there was a way around that?
There is, and Victoria Pritchard discovered it when she needed a one-way rental from Edmonton to Vancouver. A friend recommended she try renting through a new site called MirrorTrip.
MirrorTrip pairs a driver with another who is going the opposite direction. It’s an elegant solution to a problem that’s as old as the modern car rental industry. The systems are currently available in western Canada but are being rolled out in North America soon. When broadly implemented, they could effectively eliminate pricey one-way car rentals.
MirrorTrip matched Pritchard to another driver who wanted to return the car from Vancouver back to Edmonton. It charged $54 a day and guaranteed a full-size vehicle. That’s considerably less than car rental companies, which were charging anywhere from $178 to $899 as a drop fee. Pritchard, a human resources manager who works in Edmonton, became a fan.
“I usually rent a few times with MirrorTrip during peak season, so I’m saving thousands of dollars,” she says.
Why are one-way car rentals so expensive?
Why do car rental companies charge outrageous dropoff fees? Historically, rental firms approach one-way rentals as something to avoid — and if they can’t be avoided, then monetized. It’s costly and inconvenient to return a car back to its original location.
Fleet management systems aren’t designed to find another driver who is willing to return the car. So car rental companies charge extra for a one-way rental, effectively discouraging the practice. (It’s just one of many car rental problems I deal with as a consumer advocate.)
What is MirrorTrip?
MirrorTrip, the brainchild of serial tech entrepreneur Reece Griffin, represents a new kind of car-sharing he calls “ride switching.”
“We created it to solve a long-lived problem that my co-founders and I had run into many times before — the one-way dropoff fee that rental companies normally charge you if you want to pick a car up in one city and drop it off in another,” he told me.
Griffin said the solution was to match renters with other people driving in the opposite direction.
“The second driver returns the car to where it started from after the first driver has finished with it,” he says.
MirrorTrip is available as an app (iOS and Android). You can book a MirrorTrip reservation with Hertz in western Canada, but there are plans to expand its technology nationally throughout the U.S. soon.
“It’s a new concept, and for them a potential edge in order to make car rentals price competitive with other intercity travel options such as bus, train, carpooling, and short-haul flights,” says Griffin.
“A great solution”
Colin Filkow, a retired music industry executive from Calgary, was in the market for a one-way rental from Vancouver to Calgary when he found MirrorTrip.
“The reservation process was simple and straightforward,” he says.
But the best part of the experience was the savings. Filkow estimated that by matching his itinerary to another driver heading in the other direction, he cut $1,000 from a typical one-way rental cost.
“I think a one-way car rental is a great concept and have recommended MirrorTrip to family and friends,” he says.
Chris Brown, editor of Auto Rental News, an industry publication, says MirrorTrip could eventually solve the car rental drop-off problem.
“The business model seems to benefit both the rental company and the renter,” he says. “It alleviates the steep drop fee while relieving the company’s labor to transfer the car. In the fleet world, we’re seeing how sophisticated algorithms are being used to make back-end processes more efficient.”
How MirrorTrip started
The idea for MirrorTrip came to Griffin on his summer vacation to Europe in 2016. He and his wife were about to rent a car for a one-way road trip through France and Spain.
“From previous experience, I knew a one-way rental from France to Spain would be pricey,” he says. But it cost even more than he expected — the going rate was 1,500 euros for the drop-off fee alone. To avoid the fee, the couple decided to drive several inconvenient loops around southern Europe.
“On the home stretch, the penny dropped for the MirrorTrip idea,” he says. “After Googling it to confirm that it was a problem that others were experiencing, I was excited to see a blog post with hundreds of commiserators commenting on some of the most popular blog articles.”
Back home, the idea for MirrorTrip solidified. Griffin and his co-founder developed a system that paired a one-way driver with a returning driver.
How MirrorTrip differs from a regular rental
After the initial matching process with MirrorTrip, the experience feels a lot like renting a two-way rental. MirrorTrip creates a separate contract for each driver, so there’s no chance of shared liability.
“MirrorTrip acts as a financial escrow on behalf of both drivers,” explains Griffin. “Once the booking is confirmed, it makes a unified payment on behalf of both of them to the rental company. All you have to do at the rental location is sign your own contract, show your license, get in the car — and drive.”
There are some differences, though. MirrorTrip’s rentals are prepaid and non-refundable. That’s mostly to ensure both drivers show up and honor their contracts.
“On the other side of the coin though, once you’ve paid with MirrorTrip, your trip is guaranteed,” says Griffin. “If for some reason the other driver is unable to fulfill their obligations, MirrorTrip will still make sure a car is available, and you still won’t incur any one-way drop-off penalties.”
What you get when you rent with MirrorTrip
The site prompts you to enter your travel dates and then tries to match you with another driver. If you’re outside western Canada, MirrorTrip can still be useful. A “price lab” feature shows you one-way rates in the United States, along with a helpful price history chart.
One of the drawbacks of the system is that if it can’t find a return-trip renter, you have to wait to be paired with a driver before receiving a confirmation. For business travelers who need instant confirmation, that might be asking too much.
Why don’t car rental companies already do this?
Here’s an obvious question: Why don’t car rental companies do something like this? Turns out that managing a car rental fleet across multiple locations is difficult. Some locations may be franchises, while others are corporate-owned. Their systems see one-way rentals as a nuisance.
MirrorTrip offers car rental companies another option: by matching drivers, it adds new customers while at the same time keeping costs low.
Griffin hopes those lower costs will also make car rental companies more competitive with other forms of transportation.
“Potentially, it makes car rentals price-competitive with other intercity travel options such as bus, train, carpooling, and short-haul flights,” he says.

Hi everyone,
It's Harry, Ethan, and Omid here from Motion (https://inmotion.app). We built a Chrome extension that uses real-time interventions to prevent people from unknowingly wasting time on online distractions.
A few months ago, I mentioned that I was spending too much time on Facebook. Omid recommended a browser extension to block certain sites. It worked well - my time wasted dropped to 15 minutes the next day. However, a few days later, I was setting up my company’s Facebook page, and the extension blocked me at the 15-min mark, the time I set for myself. I needed to finish that page, but there was no way around the hard-block, so I had to uninstall the extension.
Later, I tried other similar extensions. Each was either so permissive that it wasn't useful for my purpose, or so strict that I had to uninstall it. We realized that existing solutions did not work because their approach is too prescriptive and simplistic. They didn’t recognize that people also need to use Facebook, Youtube, etc. for legitimate purposes. The problem is really intricate. On one hand, Facebook is great for getting reminders on friends’ birthdays or managing business pages; on the other hand, every minute spent on Facebook could potentially lead to a trap. These traps come in all forms - video autoplay, news articles with catchy titles, and sponsored content that looks just like your friends’ posts. Instead of always being hindered from visiting these sites, I needed to have access to their useful parts, but be careful to not get distracted in the process.
I decided to build a simple tool for myself - a countdown timer each time I visit a distracting site. We all started using it and liked it, so we decided to hand out the extension to some friends. Surprisingly, despite many bugs, our user retention was infinitely higher than our previous ideas. In fact, we built 6 MVPs during our pivoting process - commission-free prediction market, recruiting platform for quant traders, intercity carpooling service, workplace motivation app, online travel agency, and crypto options market making (last one because both Ethan and I were options traders before our startup; Omid was a college student until this year. For backstory - Ethan and I were best friends in college, and Omid and I have been friends since high school) Since none of these ideas had worked and we were finally getting some users, we decided to work on this one. Also, with this one we were solving a problem that we ourselves had.
Here’s how it works now: each time you visit a distracting site (e.g. Twitter), we show a screen where you can choose to either leave or proceed to the site with a visible countdown timer. On sites like Facebook and Youtube, you can choose to hide the newsfeed or video recommendations. Once time is up, we ask you whether you're done. When you visit less distracting sites such as Gmail, you get reminders on how long you’ve been on these sites, so you don't unknowingly spend too long on things like responding to email.
Before you start working on something, you can write down your task, and it will show up with a timer on every tab you visit until you clear the task, so you don't get sidetracked. Finally, every morning, we give you a report on how you spent your time the previous day, and allow you to mark the sites that are distracting.
We firmly believe in data privacy, and promise that we will never sell user data. We do not collect the URL or content of sites you visit. We had to decide between using Chrome's "all_urls" permission and the more narrow "activeTab" permission. If we only had activeTab, each time the user opens a new page they would have to manually activate our extension. That would be an unacceptable user experience in our opinion, so we settled on the broader permission.
The extension is free at the moment. We plan on releasing for other browsers in the upcoming weeks. We plan on monetizing either through a premium tier with productivity tools built for power users or charging a very low amount from every user.
Big tech companies have been attacking our attention with sophisticated technology, spending billions of dollars to optimize their engagement metrics. We may think we are in control, but often we are unknowingly being exploited by companies who profit handsomely off our attention—which, if you think about it, is the most valuable asset we have. If we could just simply turn off all these products, that would be an effective defense, but for many people that's not an option, so something more is required.
It's far from complete, but we believe we're on the road to building a more useful tool to help individuals defend their attention against these traps. This is a problem many in the HN community have thought a lot about. We’d really love your feedback and learn what you would like to see in a tool like this - what productivity problem do you have that a tool could help solve? How can tooling help to give us back control over our own attention? Thanks so much in advance!
