I spend a lot of time writing about love as an officiant, naturally. I am usually writing about the beginning of a new life shared with the one you love most. Today I'm reflecting on life's end as I write a memorial service for the passing of a dear friend's grandmother. She was a remarkable woman and I hope I grow to be more like her before my time is over. Funerals are always a reminder that we never know when that could be, so always make the most of it.
