Ok so I am on my period and my cramps HURT LIKE FUCKING HELL. So I'll do a Hazbin hotel skit.

(P.S I'm not a great writer.)

Vaggie and Charlie are peacefully sitting in the lobby couch when the front door opens to reveal Carmilla had come in.

Vaggie got up from her seat and walked over to Carmila and began speaking.

Vaggie:"Wha-... Carmilla what are you doing here? Training isn't until Sunday."

Carmilla:"I know, I just wanted you to sign this."

Carmilla pulled out a random packet with neat writing on it. It looked like a consent form but honestly nobody cares enough to read it. Vaggie reached for it and glanced at where she had to sign.

Vaggie:"What is it for? We've done practice a bunch of times, I don't think I need to sign anything for if you harm me or whatever."

Carmilla:"It's something different. Don't worry too much about it."

Vaggie:"Alright?"

She said suspiciously as if Carmilla was planning something. She picked up a pen and wrote on the nearest flat surface there was. She wrote her signature nearly on the dotted line and gave it back to Carmilla.

Vaggie:"Here you go, I guess.."

Carmila:"Thank you Vaggie. By the way, I'm having another kid."

Vaggie:"Oh? Congrats?"

Carmilla:"It's you."

Vaggie:"What."

Carmilla showed Vaggie the packet where it said 'I give consent to Carmilla Carmine to adopt me' extra extra. Vaggie looked confused and questioned everything that she had just said.

Carmilla walked out the door and disappeared in a matter of seconds. Vaggie stood there and had so many unanswered questions.

Vaggie:"How? Why? Huh..?"

Carmilla:"I have to go now to assist your now sisters."

Vaggie:"But I'm so confused.. Can you even do that? I'm a grown adult how?"

Carmilla:"Don't worry about it, hija."

Vaggie:"huh..."

My fucking god, this song is playing on loop on my mind. I changed Carmilla's skirt for a more tutu shape, and tried to make her point shoes more realistic (as realistic as a leg length point shoe can be), and NO we are not taking about those hands.

danny talking about how resentful she became when nobody who she self-sacrificed for cared when she died and then leaving kirsch with laura and carmilla bc "if he stays with me i might lose control again and kill him" kinda confirms my thoughts abt both newly-turnedness and anger making vampires more vampiry

but also makes me think that in more usual circumstances, when the dean turned vampires like carmilla and mattie, that shes really nice at the start to temper any of that unruly anger

Millie, who pushed through fear and uncertainty to have two children she would do anything for.

Lin, who was able to do one of the strongest things imaginable, admitting the flaws of her parenting and apologizing to her children.

Amanda Burke, who shows that just because someone isn't your own blood doesn't mean they aren't family.

Ophelia, who was able to redeem herself and win back not just her son but her son-in-law as well.

There are not many events in the year which Carmilla considers worthy enough to take off time for (employees being a different matter entirely), but Mother's Day is always right there at the top beneath two birthdays. It's only now at this hour when she's returned home, shelling her purse to rest from the ivory coat hanger at the door marked with blessed tips in it bone, and that is when she spots the dark bouquet in her peripheral.

She scarcely needs to guess where they might have come from, but lifting the note for inquiry and finding that familiar wax seal puts her at ease all the same - more than a note from anyone else would. All the light buzzing from stimulation in the busy world beyond her company doors quiets with the lift of her smile.

Her chair swivels beneath her weight, hands bringing the black roses close to breathe in and rest against her chest amongst the glowing white loops of jewelry. She turns to face the floor length windows, gazing out as the red light of Pride grows dimmer and dimmer in the sky. The world quietly tells her it's time for the routine phone call soon. She thinks he'll enjoy hearing about the day all three of them had.. Perhaps next time, he might tag along.

Okay in regards to this poll I'm going to do some Doc Carmilla analysis because I don't like having back and forth conversations in tags. This is long, I couldn't really find a way to cut it down

The biggest thing that fucks me up about her is Brian's morality switch. The concept of a morality switch at all is horrifying to me, taking that control away from someone. Brian's about page on the mechanisms website says the reasoning was because Doctor Carmilla found it "amusing" which. Makes me hate it even more. @x-ca1iber pointed out the fact that Jonny is an unreliable narrator, which is a good point. However, I doubt Jonny wrote everyone's bio and I don't think either morality mode would really let Brian lie about it, lying is wrong and I can't come up with ends that would justify it. Brian could be wrong about reasoning, of course, but I'm not sure why he would be. Because a lot of that second half is speculation, *please* let me know if there's anything to agree or disagree with any of it.

The two other things that make me not willing to chalk all of anti-Doctor Carmilla sentiment up to unreliable narration and character misinterpretation are the end of this video and near the end of Lashings. The first video shows Jonny cut the music and, sounding somewhat frantic, ask Carmilla what she's going to do about being thrown out the airlock. When she doesn't respond, he backs away and accuses her of planning something. This is something that isn't attributable to unreliable narration because the premise there isn't that it's a retelling but an actual event occurring. Also, the way Jonny is on edge, expecting her to do something but not knowing what/when and having to just kind of act like it's fine really makes me read it as a bad relationship for him. The end of the Lashings performance shows Nastya stressed about various other things and Doctor Carmilla coming up behind her and hugging her. Nastya visibly tenses and remains as such for the entire interaction. I've seen people argue that this was due to the aforementioned various other things, and it could very much be that! This is definitely my least compelling piece of evidence. But it's worth noting that Doctor Carmilla doesn't back off from the hug and remains sort of in Nastya's face until Nastya steps away. The situation is either Nastya being generally uncomfortable with physical contact at that moment (or in general) and Carmilla not caring, or Nastya being distrustful of her in general. Either way doesn't reflect well on their relationship.

None of this is to say that I think she's trying to cause them harm. She does see them as her kids, in her own way. The only other close relationship she had that I'm aware of is Lorelai (please let me know if you have any more information on this! I'm always open to corrections) and that wasn't exactly healthy. She could very well not know any other way to treat them, and I really do think she meant well. The problem with meaning well is that is doesn't change the ramifications of your actions. The best of intentions don't change the fact that you hurt people. This is, in my opinion, especially prominent in parental figures, which she is.

That is all about her as a person, though. As a character? She's fantastic. Trans lesbian vampire scientist with dubious ethics? Great!!! And all of the things I just talked about that make me dislike her as a person make me love her as a character. That disparity is what makes it really hard to answer the poll I linked at the beginning, because holy fuck morality switch but I love her as a character

Alastor fluff - a continuation of 'Almost Instictual' and 'Instinct.'

"Alastor, love." The radio demon turned around, looking at your disheveled frame before eying the baby in your arms. A gentle smile overtook your features as you attempted to not just fall over and go to sleep right there. "Y/n. Dear, you're not supposed to be up and about yet! Go back and rest-" You shook your head, putting a finger up as you shushed him and continued to rock the two-month-old in your arms. Taking a deep breath before speaking once again.

" I need you to take Maria out today, or just away from me for a little bit- I need to sleep and my stomach has been hurting so much. Please-" Alastor watched as you walked up to him and gently gave him the sleeping girl. He stiffened at the contact. "Y/n- I have a meeting today-" You waved your hand, dismissing his statement and laying back down in bed. You looked horrible. Still recovering from the C-section they had put you through after you went into labor. "I need sleep, I need time away so I don't strangle her. Please just take her for the day, or get a babysitter- I don't care."

Alastor wasn't someone who had much shame or could be embarrassed easily. It wasn't a secret that he would do things without thinking, and this moment was an example of just how bad that was.

"Is thou your offspring, Alastor?" Zestial poked a little black claw into the baby's face, a small chuckle leaving his form as the baby grabbed onto it. A babble left Maria's mouth before Alastor realized that he was being spoken to. "Biologically? No....But I have relations with her mother. Who is recovering from getting surgery and was asked to have the little thing accompany me today while she sleeps." The green man nodded. "Thou was domesticated my eyes see." Alastor laughed a bit himself, gently pushing zestials finger away from the child face before exiting the elevator. Had he truly been that tamed by you?

"Alastor, zestial-" Carmilla pinched the bridge of her nose, staring at the board at the end of the room with her back turned on them. Ready to yell at the two men before she turned around and just stood there. Staring at Alastor.

"Is that a fucking child?"

Alastor gently glared at the woman and covered Maria's ears. "Whoops." Rosie jumped up from her seat and ran towards the two. Smile as bright as ever as Alastor let her take the baby. "Oh, there's my goddaughter! Hi Maria! It's anti-Rosie!" Maria giggled a little bit and grabbed Rosie's hat. Alastor stretched a bit at the loss of weight in his arms. "Alastor where did you..get this child." Alastor deadpanned, gently taking Maria back from Rosie and ignoring the woman pleads to keep holding her. "She's mine, technically. Now- Maria here will be attending today's meeting." Rosie snickered, returning to her seat with Alastor. "Okay then..." The room shifted their gazes over to the doors, three voices laughing about how stupid the meetings were booming throughout the room now as the vees entered the little room.

"You five are late. I expected better than you. Including you, zestial." the old man just chuckled and nodded. The vees seated themselves without a care in the world.

Carmilla pinched the bridge of her nose. "Now, we are all here because-" Valentino raised his hand like a child, his eyes on Alastor who had a baby in his grasp. Carmilla groaned loudly. "What, Valentino?" "Why does Alastor have a child?" Vox glitched a bit, looking at the red demon who seemed completely unphased as the baby girl started to play with his ears. "Okay let's get the elephant out of the room already!" Carmilla stood up, pointing to Alastor and Maria. "The radio demon we all have known to be an asshole now has a baby. Alastor is now 'dating' a woman who has a child and she is not well so he brought her here. Any objections?" "Should we trust that fossil with a baby?" Velvette giggled a bit, raising her hand as well as rosie and alastor glared at her. "I ask you don't swear in her presence. Her mother would kill me" Alastor quickly added on. Vox gawking at the display. "So- you got someone to sleep with you?" Alastor shook his head no. "No! Of course not, i do not with for such....nasty activities. Just dating her mother. Isn't that right maria." "Carmilla, would you mind holding her?" She nodded as alastor handed the baby to her, a small sigh leaving his mouth as he fixed his suit. Looking over to see the baby being passed around. His static screeched to a halt. As soon as the baby got to vox, who was holding her normally. She started to cry. Everyone silent in the room as the baby was passed on to velvette. Who was surprisingly good with calming her down. As soon as she got to valentino tho he didn't know what to do, grimacing as he held the child up like simba. Alastor quickly took the baby and glared at valentino, holding her tight. "Now may we start the meeting? Thank you.”
