Late Night Theory
I happily admit I believe Carmilla Carmine to be a fallen angel. Namely a Seraphim.
Her design has a lot of similarities to Sera. The skin tone being in the same area ish, the eye shape, the face shape are very similar to Sera. However, there's parts of the exorcists in Sera too. The irises and pupils like Vaggie and Lute, the sorta pear shaped body she has, and the overall color palette.
also as intelligent as she is, I do find it a little curious she could tell Vaggie was an exorcist because of the X over her eye and the spear. It really leaves me wonder how Carmilla really knew and no one else did. Cause, let's be honest, if it was that easy, how come no one else pieced it together?
Last bit that's a stretch and shot in the dark, but is her going for angelic weaponry in her arms empire. It feels like she might have prior knowledge to them, how the exorcists really fight, all to obtain more weapons during the exterminations instead of just collecting the scattered weapons the exorcists leave behind.
Personally, I think Carmilla might have been the general before Adam, the exorcists made in her (and to the same extent Sera) image. The reason for her fall is her refusing to get blood on her hands/face, likely her refusal to go along with the exterminations. I'm not sure how her daughters factor into this theory other than them possibly being born in hell, being hellborn, but I'm not sure.
Anyway, that's all for tonight. Night/morning y'all

"If it's alright could I request Carmilla Carmine x a fem reader who's a fallen angel? Like maybe they met during extermination and got their wings ripped off for not wanting to kill Carmilla's kids or they were already in hell with Carmilla for some time before the extermination? If you don't want to do this that's totally fine, and sorry if this isn't how to request stuff :)."
Honestly, with how this ended, I'm really tempted to write a much fluffier part 2 to this
Part 2 ↫ Right here
➲ 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚 Carmine + !Fallen Angel!Reader
➲ Romantic ☐, Platonic ☒
➲ 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝 Count; 3,462 Words
➲ Warnings/notes; Female reader, descriptions of gore/blood, canonical Lute slander (sorry Lute), romantic or platonic wasn't requested so I went with platonic to fit the story more (if the requester wants romantic just feel free to ask me), mother mode Carmilla (she might be a bit ooc because of this),
Tumblr media
Oh wow.
Oh wow were you shaking.
You couldn't tell if it was from the excitement or the nerves - Probably both if you were being honest with yourself, but you couldn't shake off the vibrating feeling tingling beneath your skin that made you want to fly laps around heaven. Your stomach was doing flips, but you led mask only reflected your nearly psychopathic grin and twitching eye.
Even after your lieutenant Lute shot you a stern look, no doubt pissed off because you couldn't sit still for five goddamn seconds, you still couldn't resist fidgeting with your spear. It was sparkly, and somewhat heavy, and a murderous weapon that was entirely yours! It was also cold, freezing almost. Even against your gloves it made your palms feel numb and seemed to shine in sync with your own valiant excitement.
Baby's first extermination, basically. While the name certainly sounded scary, you'd been waiting for this day for six months (you and the other forty-five cadets in your platoon) and you were ready to do your best! Sure, you were still technically a rookie, hanging around the flock and bringing up the rear of the exorcists, but this was how you proved yourself to rise the ranks, right?
Your heart stopped beating in your chest when you finally reached the front. Holy shit, that was the high seraphim! Sera, right? Oh wow, she really was much much taller in person, towering above the clustering sea of black and white murderous intent. Her outward vibe was motherly and caring, but you could see the glint of distain, guilt and regret sparking in the deepest depths of her eyes. Which was confusing, because you were doing a good thing, right? Ridding the divine planes of sinners irredeemable souls.
The thoughts crowded your mind - Evil, twisted monsters crawling around like bugs in the brimstone crowded crevices of hell. You could only imagine the satisfaction of killing your first hell spawn.
It would have to be cool no doubt. Something big with lots of teeth and claws and that could breathe fire! You had to come home with a cool story to brag about. You'd heard the tales from all your superiors. From everyone including the first man Adam himself, your respectably awesome (if a little terrifying) lieutenant Lute, to the other lieutenants like Michael and Gabriel. You'd have to off a demon built like a mountain to get their attention.
And by the big man himself, you were going to do it. Even if it took you a hundred years, you could already see yourself commanding a group just like yours, bearing a helmet with horns big and curved and bold, black stripes stippled along your ivory wings.
With a very particular pep in your step, you saluted the high seraphim Sera respectively, head cocked up just so you could regard her kindly warmth in fullness. Her smile didn't reach her eyes, and although she swiftly sent you on your way with the rest of your platoon, you couldn't help but let your nerves sway your resolve ever so slightly.
It didn't matter though! You unfurled your wings with perhaps a bit too much of a dramatic flair, but with your spear in hand and helm polished so it shined with malevolent glory, you kicked off without a second thought, tailing right behind where you were supposed to be.
Tumblr media
Your first impression of hell was the heat.
With the extermination already well under way, raging fires were already burning up half of the city sending whorls of smog up into the air. You easily battered it away with a few strong flaps of your wings. With your head on the swivel, your eagle-eyes peered around the desolate land for the forms of the sinners struggling to thrive below, silhouettes hidden by the thick layer of smoke and ash blanketing the landscape.
Lieutenant Lute furled out her wings below you, a screeching war cry echoing throughout the battlefield as she all but left your rookie platoon in the metaphorical dust. The sound itself only spurred you on, itching for the blood of a demon on the blade of your angelic spear. Without a second thought, you tucked your wings to you sides and dived below, headfirst into the fray.
Billowing flames licked past you harmlessly, though they burned like hell (which seemed rather apt, considering where you). You didn't falter, flying through the embers like a goddamn phoenix ready to cleanse the realm sprawled out beneath you. The solid wingbeats of two of your fellow cadets only strengthened your resolution, a holy fire burning in your soul - An itch to clear the filth of devil scum away. This was the chaotic strength that your captain had sought to build in you, and now you were finally able to act on it.
But everywhere you looked, you only found simple, humanoid souls running and screaming in terror. Eyes wide, half-dead or bloodied beyond belief as they scrambled to find shelter from the onslaught of exorcists like yourself. Nowhere could you see the mangled forms of the demons you'd been taught to slaughter. Descriptions from your seniors before you passed through your mind - 'gleaming eyes with with wrath and lust', 'gangly limbs twisted to an unholy form', 'mouths filled with rows of sharp teeth, and claws like knives'.
You faltered, confused. The words of Lute rang out in your mind.
"Of course, it's not like they can actually hurt you. You're all warriors, the toughest, just use your spears to stab the shit out of them!"
You were alone now. You couldn't hear the comforting sounds of your fellow rookies behind you anymore. They were well in front of you now, peering around with a similar confusion to yours. But to your absolute horror, they simply shrugged their shoulders and dived forward with bloodlust evident in their glowing white masks. Silver points of spears were jammed through the heads of the terrified demons below. But were they demons? They didn't look like them at all. Every single book you'd seen depicting demons drew them as eldritch monsters with too many eyes to count, tentacles and claws and fangs with nary but bloodlust and vile thoughts hidden within their slitted eyes.
But the demons in front of you looked just like people. You could see the way their faces contorted in terror. You could see them scrambling to help what you could only assume were friends and family, pulling them along and carrying the ones who couldn't run for themselves. You could only feel your heart fall as you watched one of your best friends land on top of a sinner already crushed by rubble, turquoise skin stained red. The begged and pleaded and cried, but their voice was silenced as the spearhead sunk into their skull.
You flinched. The world around you ignored you completely, and for once, you were completely happy to go unnoticed.
Shakily, you touched-down in a nearby street. It was littered with already oozing corpses, but other than that it was peacefully empty. At least here the sounds of violence and pain and terror was muffled, far away enough that you could at least try to distance yourself and get your breathing under control.
You barely reeled in a gag as the smell of blood invaded your senses.
Was this really what you wanted to do for the rest of your life? You could still see yourself in your mind's eye, a model exorcist like your lieutenant now leading her own platoon into another extermination. Maybe this would be a one off, just a shock to the system that would get your mind reworked into killing mode. But, the more you thought about it, the more your heart clenched in pain and terror that seemingly matched the suffering souls around you. You were an agent of heaven, you thought you were killing mindless monsters, not those with human souls! Sure, there were probably shitty people fucking around down here, but what about all those who had to sin in self defence?
A chorus of startled gasps startled you out of your panic ridden stupor. Your wings flared up, trying to make yourself look bigger, more threatening as you wheeled around. The spear in your hands looked more like a prop at this point, and it was clear that you had minimal idea how to use it inside a proper battle. But still, you fumbled with it and pointed it threateningly in the direction of the two demons that had appeared right behind you.
They clutched each other, stumbling backwards and further away from the danger of your angelic weapon. One of them placed an arm in front of the other, her eyes narrowing behind her red-tinted glasses as if she was both terrified by you, but was daring you to do something about it.
But still, you could see them shaking from where you stood. They both seemed rooted to the ground, the one with platinum blonde hair refused to take her eyes off of you, but the demon behind her (maybe her sister? A friend?) was looking around nervously.
You could see yourself reflected in those crimson specs, and for once it made you freeze. You'd seen yourself in uniform plenty of times before, the steel boots and guard gloves and the led, horned helmet, but it always seemed almost comforting before. When you were surrounded by your cohorts, it made you fit in. Out here, you realised, you were the monster.
The ever-present smile on your mask shrunk, falling into a grimace as your grip on your weapon tightened. Your wings drew in, you shrunk backwards, almost stumbling over your own feet in the process of trying your hardest to get away. You never wanted to scare people.
So drowned by your own confusion and fear and reckless thoughts of worry about the future that you didn't notice the confusion growing the faces of the demons in front of you turn into abject horror as a far more ominous silhouette grew behind you.
"I thought I taught you not to hesitate," Lute growled in your ear, placing her free hand on your shoulder and digging her fingers in till your were sure a bruise was marred into your skin. You didn't respond, couldn't even if you wanted to. The trembling that rattled you only grew stronger, and you fumbled as your hands cramped painfully. With a resounding clatter, your spear dropped from your grasp an on to the brazen brimstone floor.
Lute growled.
She didn't say anything, but she knew. The both of you knew by now. You couldn't kill a sinner.
Lute didn't even hesitate before shoving you to the ground. Your head collided with solid stone painfully even with your helmet on, stars shining behind your eyes as her words blurred together as she pressed her foot firmly between your shoulder blades. Your wings shivered and spread involuntarily, and you feared the moments that would come next. Lute was unpredictable, but this could only end with bloodshed.
The two girls still hadn't moved, transfixed in horror as they watched the scene in front of them play out.
Asphalt stung your hands and you tried to claw your way to freedom, fingertips digging into the scorched Earth as you started crying. Lute, however, was stronger than you. Of course she was, she'd been doing this for centuries, and you were still a fledging on her first trip out of heaven.
You never thought it would end like this.
Lute dug her fingers into your wings, tangling into your still downy feathers before she yanked with all her might. The scream she tore from your lips was hellish, agonising, yet the blended with the sounds of violence all around you. You were sure you blacked out several times throughout the process, but by the time your old lieutenant was done with you, barely anything but feathery stumps and golden blood remained of your wings.
You could only curl up, cry and watch as Lute tossed clumps of feathers aside as she stalked toward the two demons that still hadn't had the thought to run. And for the first time in your life, you felt sorry for the sinners that populated hell's ring of wrath.
She would make them suffer, that was for sure. If she was happy enough to tear of another angel's wings, you could only imagine what she would do to a sinner. You didn't want to imagine, and your mind was fuzzy enough that you thankfully didn't have to.
The sound of something sharp rang throughout the air. It made you groan in pain, the sound piercing your ears and making your brain rattle in your skull. Sharp - 'Tink tink tink tink tink.' If you could see the look of relief coming across the demons faces, a part of you might've urged Lute to run. Only, she had just torn your wings off with little qualm, and now you had no shits left to give if she lived or not.
The exorcist never got the chance to strike, her weapon torn from her hands and thrown across the street till it collided with a bloody body. Lute herself barely had time to react before she was struck over the head once, then twice in rapid succession. A whirlwind of white and angelic steel and pure fury launched herself in the path between the two demons and the exorcist. It was almost exhilarating to watch, seeing Lute strike out with her fists in a pathetic attempt of hand to hand combat against her new foe. Whoever they were, they were really fucking fast, almost too fast for you to keep up with.
The fight was over before it started. Without her weapon, Lute couldn't do much against the sinner she was pitted against, and as ruthless as she was, she knew when a battle was lost. In a flurry of black and white feathers, she fled. And then the newcomer's attention was shifted to you.
At this point, you would've welcomed death. The pain alone was making you drift slightly, and you didn't even have the energy left to groan when whoever nudged you slightly with something hard and cold.
"Mother.." The words were so soft, floating away from your ears.
"We need to leave." It was undoubtably her. That voice was the one who beat Lute into the ground.
"What about..?" That was the one who called out for mother.
"Won't she tattle?" So that had to be her sister.
Those words sent a dose of adrenaline through you. With as much strength as you could muster, you clawed yourself into an upwards position. You could feel the clotting blood running down your back, but if you were going to die, you at least wanted to do so with some dignity.
Shakily, with much more effort than was really desired, you reached up and peeled your helmet off.
It clattered noisily like glass against the floor, and suddenly the world was much brighter, much more red and the air was laced with more sulphur and death than you could imagine. But what really surprised you was the look of shock written across the sinner's face.
She was tall. Really tall. The only person who could really compete was Seraphim Sera or maybe Adam, but you really couldn't tell with how delirious you were.
"Una niña?" They all looked surprised.
The one called mother took a few steps forward, confusion and anger clearly present in her eyes. But, as she kneeled down in front of your comparatively tiny form, you realised the anger wasn't directed at you.
"Did she try to hurt you?" She turned back to face her daughters. They both shared a look, but ultimately shook their heads no. That right there, was your saving grace.
She looked back at you, hair pinned into high horns, and took your helmet in her large hands. She passed it off to one of her daughters, before gently scooping you into her hold.
You whined, writhing minutely in her hold as the searing phantom pain of your wings being torn off returned. Fat tears rolled down your cheeks, and yet the demoness tutted softly, shushing you like you were a baby.
Her daughters followed without a word, and you and the family unit moved swiftly through the desolate roads. So many questions were running through your mind, and yet you couldn't find the answer to any of them, your thoughts to lost to the fog of blood loss to ever truly return.
"You better not betray me," Were the last words you heard before promptly passing out.
Tumblr media
The plushness of a soft blanket was the first thing you felt waking up. For a moment, you felt nothing but relief realising the entire thing had been a horrid nightmare, but when you tried to rustle the numbness out of your wings, the relief was replaced with horror when you realised that your wings were just straight up missing, only two feathery stumps remaining in their place.
That made you shoot up in horror. You didn't even care about the sharp sting that ran down your spine and into your very being, you were a bit too concerned about your current predicament.
"You're awake."
That made you promptly scream before ducking under the covers like you were a nestling again. A soft sigh reached your ears, but you dared not to venture out from the warmth of the thick covers.
Not like you had a choice, though, as you were soon pried away from their safety. It was her, the demoness with the high-pinned buns. She looked down on you, red eyes glowing in the low light, and yet, you couldn't sense a smidge of hatred towards you. Only distrust and sadness laced her expression.
"How old are you?" She asked after the silence had gone on long enough.
"I'm a fledgling," Is all you said. You didn't really fancy giving too much information. Although, the look of horror the crossed her face maybe suggested that you'd already given away plenty.
"Obligan a los niños a hacer esto?" She raised a hand and carded it through her snowy tresses, locks of white hair threaded loose as she paced back and forth. You only watched her, slowly sinking back into the comfort of the warm blankets.
"You're still a child." It was a statement.
You hated being a child. You didn't want to be a child, at least, you hadn't wanted to be a child in the past. You wanted to join the ranks of the exorcists, and to do that you at least needed to be juvenile. Hell, you were lucky enough to make it into the cadets while you still had baby feathers decorating your wings. But now, the fact that yes, you were still technically a kid made your saviour look upon you with more than just disdain and hatred like any other exorcist, but rather she looked upon you with an emotion that you'd never seen before, and not one you could really name.
"You are a child, and now you have fallen," She eyed your mostly healed wing stumps, and you couldn't help but reflexively flex them anxiously. The literal weight off your back made you want to cry.
"Was this your first extermination?" She gazed upon you with a guarded look. You nodded.
"And you didn't hurt my daughters?" Another nod from you. That seemed to make her relax just a tad.
"Could you ever hurt someone?" That made you pause, the memories of the extermination rushing back to you full force. Tears grew at the corners of your eyes, and still, you answered with a simple 'no'.
She exhaled a sigh of relief before closing the distance and kneeling down to your eye level.
"Carmilla Carmine." She reached a hand out toward you. So that was her name.
You clutched your hands close to your chest, fearing her touch, but gave her your name anyway.
"What are you gonna do with me?" You asked, voice cracking. Her gaze softened, finally letting her guard slip for just a moment.
"Well, you weren't going to make it out there by yourself. You'll be staying with me," The words took a moment to sink into your mind. Well, at least it was better than death.
Gently, like she was working with a scared animal, Carmilla coaxed you out from the comfort of the bed, slowly ushering you to her side. With your wings missing and their remains bandaged, head bare and missing your exorcist helmet, it felt like the safest place in the world.
"Welcome to Hell."

Head Canon/Theory Part 1:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love the idea that Carmilla is also a fallen angel. But she wouldn't be just any angel, she would be an Seraphim.
Sera, the emissary: She's the head of the "Holy Trinity", the diplomatic, the one who guided her siblings.
Carmilla, the keeper: She was the one who acted in case diplomacy didn't work, the one who would give everything for her siblings.
Lucifer, the dreamer: He'd be the balance between both ladies, promoting joy and hope. He is the youngest.
When Lucifer fell with Lilith, Sera and Carmilla became estranged, one could even say they hated each other. They both watched as Lilith rose from hell, but Carmilla never blamed her, but rather Sera and the other celestials.
Then Adam arrived, proposing extermination, but the one leading the battle legions was Carmilla, and she flatly refused to do something like this. Adam, upset that she didn't support him, or as we say in Spanish "no le siguió el amén", cut off her wings and sent her to the hole with Lucifer.
Zestial was the one who found her, and took care of her, taking her to Lucifer. He at first was reluctant to talk with Carmilla, since he saw her as a traitor for not defending him against Sera.
As the years passed, and with the help of Zestial, they were able to rebuild their relationship, with Carmilla being Lucifer's right hand and the CEO of Carmine Industries.

Adam would replace Carmilla, and Emily would replace Lucifer.

Random thought based on the whole "Carmilla is a fallen angel" idea. Emily is visiting the Hazbin Hotel for political reasons at the same time Carmilla is visiting for work.
Carmilla herself is to busy to notice her (At first) but Emily is very surprised to see her Sister's ex-lover. And everyone else is verrrry surprised to learn that Carmilla used to date a fucking seraphim.
When Carmilla does notice Emily, they have a record scratch, Spiderman-pointing-at-alternate-versions-of-himself moment, where they're like, "YOU?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" Leading to some very long, complicated explanations on both their parts. The only other person who knows Carmilla is a fallen angel is Zestial. Emily doesn't know this, so she accidentally outs Carmilla by mentioning she used to be an angel, blowing her cover. Now Carmilla has to explain everything, to Charlie and Vaggie in particular. And Vaggie is like, "THAT'S HOW YOU KNEW HOW TO MANIPULATE ANGELIC WEAKNESS?" Then they find out she literally dated Sera, and Vaggie nearly faints. THAT SERA???

Pet peeve when people call Vaggie a fallen angel in fanfics… this IS NOT cannon! Her eye and wings were ripped off by a jealous/sociopathic superior but she did not go through a trial from seraphim’s or those with actual authority. She just couldn’t get back into heaven with the portal in the air and no wings…
In contrast to Lucifer, who said that he CAN’T go to heaven to support Charlie (because he was exiled/fallen?) and grows horns and has a whole demonic form. Vaggie can still get into heaven and only has angelic features and also actively referred to herself as an exorcist when Carmilla confirmed her identity… (“you know I AM an exorcist?!?” Note the present tense)
Headcannon that she will have her halo (and eye?!?) restored and Lute will be punished and maybe even fallen for illegal vigilante justice 😈

~Lost And Found~
-Summary: Vaggie after the fall, gets found by Clara. she slips due to the pain but luckily Carmilla takes pity on her and gives her hospitality
Notes: I think vaggie is my favorite character now....
also, requests are still open, you can send an ask if you want to see vaggie suffer more and get comfort. or if you just want to see some fluff
The pain in Vaggie’s eye and back was pure agony. Breathing was difficult without spiking pain in her back. She wished she hadn’t gone to heaven. If you were one the seraphims or God couldn’t decide where to put you, you could choose to be an exorcist or go to hell. Now Vaggie was really regretting her decision.
As she crawled over to the dumpster, more pain ran throughout her body. Her breaths were ragged and heavy. She groaned as she forced herself to sip upwards. Her mind was starting to process what was happening. She was a bit slow in things and couldn’t process events until long after they happened. Realizing how heaven lied to her, how many souls she’s killed, and how many people she hurt, she let out a pained sob. She was a monster. She’d only kill so Adam wouldn’t beat her and instead praise her for her “amazing” work. Realizing how she’s been manipulated, she started to slip. No, not literally. Slip into her weak headspace. Littlespace.
She let out a wail as more pain, mentally and physically, flared up. She wasn’t able to mask as easy when she was small. If she felt like crying, she would wail her heart out. And unfortunately, that was happening.
“Hey, are you okay?” someone came running up to her. The person looked around and saw golden blood leaking from her eye and back. She saw her torn wings on the ground and the… stabbed eyeball. The person almost puked just looking at it.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” Vaggie whimpered, screwing her good eye shut, ready for it to end.
“Mama! You need to come see this!” The person shouted, trying to alert the attention of someone else.
Another figure came running over. She was tall, had ballet shoes and her hair was put up so it looked like horns. Once she saw the golden blood, she pulled the other girl close to her.
“That’s an angel, Clara, leave it to die,” The woman spat. Vaggie just cried louder, knowing her inevitable death would be painful instead of quick. The scene made the woman, Carmilla, feel a bit weird. Weren’t angel’s supposed to be tough?
“I’m sowwy! End it ‘wuick, pease!” Vaggie begged, not being able to stop her babyish lisp from coming out.
“Mama, she needs help. She’s clearly fallen. The exorcists left over 3 hours ago. Plus, only angelic weapons can hurt angels. Maybe she rebelled against them?” The girl, Clara, told her mother.
“We can perhaps return her to heaven and see if she really did fall,” The mother said. That freaked Vaggie out. Adam was going to kill her, torture her, do anything to her. She couldn’t bear it.
“No, no, no! Don’t send me back! Adam’s gonna huwt me, again!” she cried.
This piqued the mother’s interest. Adam was hurting his exorcists? Maybe this girl was worth saving anyways. Besides, this girl clearly was not in a big headspace, she would have to take care of her.
“Fine. We’ll patch you up and once you’re feeling better, you can tell us the whole story,” The women picked Vaggie up and started to carry her away. Vaggie muttered “I’m sorry,” over and over again during the walk back to their house.
“I understand that you’re sorry, you need to stop over apologizing, child,” She told her. Vaggie shut up but still let out a few whimpers due to the pain she was in.
During the walk, Carmilla couldn’t help but feel empathy for this girl. She probably did something like spare someone's life and they did this to her? It was cruel. The girl wasn’t a killer. Well, not now at least. She tried to ask the girl a few questions like her name, what happened, and what age she was feeling. She didn’t get much of an answer to the ‘what happened’ question but it did sound like she spared a soul and was really sorry for the whole extermination.
When they got to the house, Carmilla set her up on one of their guest beds before grabbing a first aid kit from the bathroom. The poor girl seemed to be shaking as she patched up her eye. She had to clean her back and knew it was probably going to be painful. She gave affirmations while Vaggie yelped in pain from the wet rag cleaning her wound.
Vaggie seemed to calm down when she began to bandage her back. However, the calmed silence was interrupted as Vaggie squeaked before hunching her shoulders and softly began to sob. Carmilla was facing her back and didn’t know what was going on. So she got up and went to face vaggie when she saw it. The girl had an accident.
“I- I’m sorwy, I didn’t mean to!” she cried. Carmilla should’ve been prepared for this. The girl was feeling very much in the baby range. These were bound to happen. So she quickly called odette into the room.
“Mija, go to the store and get some overnight adult diapers. Little one probably won’t be able to move much and it’ll be safer to have more absorbent ones,” Carmilla handed the blonde girl a fifty dollar bill and sent her off.
She didn’t know why but she felt this sort of weird connection with this angel. It felt like she was caring for her daughters when they were younger again. It got her feeling all maternal.
After undoing the bandages on her back, she carried to the bathroom and ran the bath.
“M sowry,” Vaggie said once more.
“It’s okay sweetie, accidents happen,”
Carmilla felt a lot less aggressive and assertive towards Vaggie as she bathed her. The girl was in so much pain that it was practically impossible. She probably in a lot of mental pain too.
Washing Vaggie’s hair was a bit hard because she couldn’t get the bandage wet. But she somehow managed to do it.
When Carmilla carried vaggie back to the room, she saw that the bedsheets were replaced and a bag of diapers, a bottle, and a stuffed bear waited for them on the bed. Odette must’ve seen what was happening with the girl’s headspace. The bottle was also full with warm milk too.
After changing her into some padding, a big pajama shirt to act as a nightgown, and new bandages, she set her in the bed and began to help feed her the bottle. Carmilla smiled. It’s been awhile since she’s done this but it felt nostalgic. She loved caring for her girls but they were all grown up now. It was nice to be able to care for a baby again.
Before long, the girl had fallen asleep with her new stuffed bear cuddle to her chest. No doubt she was exhausted from the pain she endured. Carmilla tucked her in and left the room. The next day was going to be tough, but she would have to push through it.

End Of The Line (Alastor x F!Reader) Prologue
Summary: Sylvia Moore is the youngest child and only daughter of her family. Due to this, she was used to being a bit spoiled and getting her way. And when at a gala, she’s introduced to an up-and-coming radio host, Alastor Hartfelt, by her older brother. She decides rather quickly that she wants Alastor. (Luckily for her, he feels the same way) And nothing, not even the forces of heaven or hell could keep them separated.

Nothing bad ever happened in heaven.
After all, how could it? Anyone who ever had an evil thought or did anything bad was cast into a separate realm. Where they were punished eternally for their crimes.
Whereas those with pure souls without flaws and who had never done anything wrong; were allowed beyond the pearly gates and into paradise.
This was why when Sylvia Hartfelt met St. Peter after she died in 1933, the seraphims and archangels were at a loss for what to do for once.
While her soul was indeed pure, it wasn’t without flaws. Because if you peered deep enough, into the depths of her very soul. You could see a small, inky black stain. And because it was so close to the space near her heart, it was practically hidden.
Eventually, after a few decades' worth of debates - while Sylvia herself drifted mindlessly in limbo - it was decided that Sylvia would still be allowed into paradise despite the stain.
This was perhaps heaven's biggest mistake and ultimate flaw on their end.
They should have at least looked closer at her wedding vows.
"While some vows have death do us part, Alastor, my love. I want it stated for the record that not even heaven or hell could keep us apart."

Note
So all the overlord demons have a normal form and a full on demonic horror form.
I bet Carmilla has her wings when she's in horror mode, still angelic white and gold, but claws, glowing eyes.
But it makes me think of Charlie transforming, the tail and all and makes me wonder both about the Carmine girls forms, and what happened to upset them enough the first time that they showed those forms.
I mean horrible angst is an option but with two girls either twins or very close in age toddler tantrums are also a great possibility lol
I like the idea of Carmilla having her own unique angelic demon form when she really goes ham. Lucifer's form seems very inspired by his snake and apple motif. Lots of reds and whites in his wings and tail, with the little heart maybe being a nod to his love for humanity before the fall. The little flame on his forehead is probably where his extra eye used to be.
I also want to note that I got this ask back-to-back with the dominion angel fanart that was sent to me, so I'm going to say I highly appreciate @alieliscious's design and may actually head canon some of those elements. (Like the galaxy theme, wuuuuut! How pretty is that! 😭😭)
My head canon will probably be a little different for Carmilla than yours. I initially envisioned Carmilla's motif having more blues or purples, as well more black, for the black swan thing. Maybe more black for her where Lucifer is white. Her wings are also probably a lot less reptilian than Lucifer's, and retain more of the bird-like features of a Seraphim.
Odette and Clara's forms are probably a combination of Carmilla's and their father's forms, like Charlie has a little of Lucifer and Lilith in hers (maybe leaning a little more toward Lucifer's, since his angel blood is probably stronger, and she gets her tail and horn shape from him). It's hard to say the exact features of Clara and Odette's, without knowing what their father was like, but they might also lean a little more toward looking like Carmilla since she's a fallen angel.
The first time Carmilla witnessed their demon forms was probably when they were having a spat, like over a toy or something. Kids overreact to so many little things, they'd probably go full demon mode over something small that they perceived as a big deal. She has to teach them to control those tantrums and not to blow up, because they could really hurt each other or others. They probably haven't done that again since they were children, but if Carmilla's life were in danger, that would definitely bring it out of them.

I present, Myrtha, the second of the captains for the Nephilim AU that will appear in Truth Beneath the Rose. She is the captain modeled after the fallen seraphim, Carmilla Carmine. Of the trio, she represents combat prowess and strength, shown further with how her sword/weapon of choice is a claymore/great sword.
Also, because Clara and Odette are named after protagonists, I took a different turn with Myrtha's name. Her's is a character from the ballet Giselle, an antagonist. Myrtha, Queen of Wilis, an undead queen that leads other undead maidens that had been scorned, deceived, and betrayed as they refuse to forgive or forget the offense. Fitting for a captain that had to lead other exorcists that were betrayed with Carmilla's fall and Adam replacing her as leader of the angelic armies.

How strong is Adam actually?
[Power scaling is hard due to Heaven not having been fully fleshed out yet. The most influential Catholic angelic hierarchy was that put forward by Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite in the 5th or 6th century in his book De Coelesti Hierarchia (On the Celestial Hierarchy). Dionysius described nine levels of spiritual beings which he grouped into three orders:
Highest orders: Seraphim, Cherubim, Ophanim (thrones)
Middle orders: Dominions, Virtues, Powers
Lowest orders: Principalities, Archangels, Angels
During the Middle Ages, various schemes were proposed, some drawing on and expanding on Pseudo-Dionysius, others suggesting completely different classifications.
Now, with what we know of Vivz's lore shown so far, Angels have their own hierarchy, with certain groups and tiers of angels dictating the degrees of authority in their government, such as the high-ranking Seraphim. It has also been stated that the powers angels possess are distinct from the powers that demons possess, with the former inherently holding dominion over the latter. Seraphim are still up high on the power dynamic but we're told there are "Elders" and Sera herself answers to these beings who can outrank/outpower her, hinting they have the power to make an angel "Fallen". We saw the Cherubs in Helluva Boss but, like they are in modern media, they aren't like their biblical source as badass warrior enforcement, but cute baby-like messengers that appear near on par with Imps (this might have been just the ones in the episode or the joke due to both groups being parallels for the bit). Ophanim are also present and have been since the start (the many-eyed wheel heads) but we don't know their role or if they are still up there with Seraphim but likely so. In the episode "Overture", Adam mentions a sexual encounter with a "Virtue chick". The term "Virtue" is also often the angelic counterpart of the Seven Deadly Sins, each one being a direct inverse of the respective sin. It is unknown which use of "Virtue" Adam was referring to.
Which now brings me to Adam and the Exorcists. Adam is a human soul that went to Heaven and for being an ordained mortal soul, the dude is fucking OP, on par with Overlords, which I think is hilarious considering I believe mortal souls being angels are the bottom bitches of Heaven's citizens which shows just how insane divinity can be when compared to the demonic powers. Now for the hard part, because Adam hints at making the Exorcists. We don't know if they are former human souls like him or if he himself made them, as he even gave Vaggie her name and Carmilla refers to the other Exorcists as Vaggie's sisters. Now this could mean they are all creations, and it does fit with Adam's ego to make a group of women who are subordinates under his command, but they also could've easily been recruited by Adam and he merely gave them new names upon being Exorcists. I also think Exorcists are even weaker than basic angels and are as barebones as an angel could be possible. Exorcists rely heavily on their weapons and lack defense, wielding no shields and having little armor, very much brutal crusaders that live for the slaughter of the damned under the guise of a holy mission...They're pawns. They also appear to lack abilities other than flight and making portals to traverse realms. Exorcists are very bloodthirsty and love violence. They seem to take sadistic joy in killing demons. Their loyalty is a core staple of their character, even so, Exorcists don't tolerate betrayal of any kind, and express hatred for Vaggie and the desire to gleefully kill her when offered the chance to go after her, becoming even more eager to do so when Adam offered a reward to the Exorcist who successfully brings him Vaggie's head.]
{So after all that, to answer your question of how strong is Adam...The dude was fucking strong. As the first human soul to go to Heaven and with millennia of training under his belt, his strength was up there to possibly archangel level and he was a threat to take seriously.}
Abilities
Flight - Adam had a set of wings that he could use to fly at great speed. He could also remove a feather from his wings to use as a quill pen.
Nephokinesis - He could control clouds he creates and make them into steps.
Cloud creation - With a flap of his wings, he can create a gust of clouds around him.
Immense strength - He was shown to be able to smash a light projector in front of him with brute strength in a moment of rage, and later shatter Alastor's barrier with a single punch. He was also shown to be strong enough to physically overpower Charlie, despite the latter assuming her full demon form. However, Charlie managed to use more of her demonic powers to stop him from punching Lucifer, utterly overpowering him and confusing him, indicating that he is only stronger than Charlie if she doesn't focus on all her power.
Enhanced endurance - Despite having not experienced pain for likely millennia, Adam was able to easily shrug off getting stabbed by Charlie with her trident despite saying that it hurt and he quickly retaliate after being repeatedly punched in the face by Lucifer.
Angelic power - As an angel, he most likely possessed high angelic power, especially as the leader of the Exorcists. His strength was proven to be immense, surpassing all but the strongest of Demons and Sinners as he was able to easily overwhelm both Alastor and later Charlie, who had assumed her full demon form and could have won had Lucifer not interfered.
Portal creation - Adam could create portals for other Angels to use, notably to transport himself and his Exorcist army to Hell at the start of each annual extermination. He also opened a portal to banish Charlie and Vaggie back to Hell in "Welcome to Heaven".
Conjuration - Adam could summon objects as he pleased, summoning his guitar and physical Exorcist copies during Hell is Forever, a golden scroll informing Charlie of Heaven's decision to move up the next Extermination, and a piece of golden paper to write on in court.
Alteration - Adam also showed he could alter the objects he created, such as when he made his axe guitar larger while fighting Alastor.
Photokinesis - Adam could fire blasts of holy light strong enough to vaporize Sir Pentious and his war machine in one small blast and slice tall buildings in half. He also showed he could channel his light through his guitar/axe to create powerful blades of light that were able to cut through Alastor's cane and through his fist to destroy demonic barriers. In "Overture", he created a giant bright orb of light above him while he was singing Hell is Forever.
Skillset
Musical talent - He was capable of singing and in "Overture" was implied to have been part of a band.
Guitar-playing - Adam was talented at playing the guitar and did so seemingly whenever he could.
Axe proficiency - Adam wielded his guitar-axe with amazing skill as he could fight out and seriously wound Alastor during their duel.
Leadership - Adam appeared to be a competent and capable leader of the Exorcists, often personally leading them into battle. Additionally, Adam appears to genuinely care for his subordinates.
Strategic mind - In both "Overture" and "The Show Must Go On", Adam demonstrates sound and logical thinking both in and out of combat; in the former, Adam waits to begin the next extermination so as not to prematurely reveal his plan, while in the latter, Adam personally attacks high-threat targets to even the odds for his Exorcists, as seen with his battle with Alastor, since he recognized him as the conjurer of the hotel's barrier.

So Emily after sneaking into hell to find her mother realizes it was a bad idea. Things are so much more chaotic and we'll worse than she thought she gets attacked though is able to escape unharmed and is having a bad time wondering if she should go back to heaven before suddenly she gets hit a by a dart and fall unconscious. She is waking up in a room tied to a chair hearing to women talking in Spanish about what they should do with the angel on is wearing a lab coat with glasses the other a crop top and pony tail. Once they notice Emily has come to they talk demanding to know what Emily was here to do and refusing the answer of looking for her mother. Clara (Emily doesn't know any names yet) threatens to torture her to get the answer out trying to seem though before Odette tells her they aren't both for ethical reasons and the whole torture doesn't work reason. (It doesn't look it up.) Clara wouldn't have she doesn't have the heart to actually hurt Emily but Emily doesn't know that. Emily insists that she is looking for her mom who fell thousands of years ago and the girls continue to not believe her. Finally Carmilla shows up she was in a meeting when she learned her girls caught an Angel and only just now got out to see this angel who they think is a spy. Carmilla doesn't recognize her at first and like her daughters assumes she is lying until Emily says her mothers name is Carmilla. (Emily doesn't know Carmilla's name at this point since the girls call her mom and mama)
Carmilla looks at this woman that her girls have brought before her, shocked and overcome with emotion. Never in all her years of being an overlord has she ever witnessed something like this. An angel, who had been waltzing around Hell and asking questions, as if every second in this place didn't mount the danger for a stranger such as herself tenfold.
It's even worse...so much worse, because she is practically a carbon copy of...her. Sera. Her long lost love. The resemblance is uncanny. Like if she reaches out and touches those freckled cheeks, she will feel the cool and familiar softness of Sera's face against her palm. Could she be...could Sera have moved on? Without her? Then why is this person here, asking for a "Carmilla?" Asking for her?
"Run this by me one more time, Emily," Carmilla says, even her one remaining virtue of patience being tested by this girl's wild story. "You left Heaven, of your own free will, to come look for this Carmilla? Why in all the realms would you do that? Without an entourage or escort? What business could a young angel like you have with a demon?"
Emily looks down. Poking her fingers together, like she's ashamed to have been caught. Ashamed to be breaking one of Heaven's greatest taboos. She should be ashamed, but for some reason, despite the danger, and how utterly careless this young woman is being, Carmilla can't bring herself to push the matter further.
"Like I told your daughters..." Emily begins, motioning to Clara and Odette, who are watching curiously from the sidelines. "I am looking for my mother. She's a fallen angel. Named Carmilla. She was pushed out a long time ago...I just wanted to see if she's still alive...and let her know that my other mother misses her very much."
Carmilla takes a deep breath. Lets it out slowly. No, her other mother couldn't possibly be...
"And what is your other parent's name?" Carmilla asks, already anticipating the answer.
"She is the High Seraphim, Sera. I was conceived right before Carmilla fell. I don't even know if she realizes I exist."
Sera...Emily...Seraphim. Leave it to Sera, but her naming scheme is predictable, if nothing else. Oh, holy fucking Hell, how had Carmilla not realized this sooner?
Carmilla turns around. Clara and Odette look on in concern as Carmilla takes her face into her claws, holding her cheeks as she tries desperately not to show how startled she is. Emily...her and Sera's daughter...here with her now...with her and Sera's other children...
She turns back around to look at Clara and Odette. Her other girls appear to have come to the same conclusion, their startled and shocked expressions giving away everything they must be feeling inside. She's never hidden Sera's name from them. She'd always wanted her girls to know where they came from. Had told them everything a long time ago.
Their mother is also Sera, because Carmilla had also Fallen while pregnant. So this Emily person is their other sister...which means Sera is alive and well. Heaven hadn't found out about their relationship and punished her, too. Oh, thank her lucky stars for that.
Carmilla turns to Emily. Her face has suddenly changed from stern and concerned, to warm and inviting. There are tears in her eyes. Emily tilts her head, wondering if she'd said something to upset the older woman.
"Are you okay?" Emily asks, genuinely remorseful. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you sad. Do you want me to leave?"
Carmilla shakes her head. She's smiling now.
"No. I'm all right. Please, don't go. I'm just so...happy!"
Emily does look confused now, but also curious. What is this overlord getting at?
"It's just that...my name is Carmilla. I'm the only one I know of in this entire city. Most people change their names when they come here, but I didn't. And I think, based on everything you've said, that I'm the one you seek. Sera was my partner...for many hundreds, thousands of years. She was pregnant when I fell. I think you might be...I hope beyond hope that you are mine."
Emily's eyes widen. She looks at Carmilla, like her eyes might pop out of her head at any moment. Then she is the one crying. Big, drippy, snotty tears. Completely unafraid of how she looks before these complete strangers...in front of her mother.
"Carmilla!...Mama! Are you certain?"
"I think so, mija."
"Ma-Mama!" Emily throws herself at Carmilla, hugging her so tightly, Carmilla thinks her spine might crack. Emily is bawling now. She puts her head on Emily's quaking head, feeling her move up to be closer against her front. "I can't believe I finally found you. Mom...Sera...she will be so happy! I don't even know you, but...I'm sorry I came here alone, but she missed you so much! And I just wanted to meet you!"
Carmilla strokes Emily's hair, as the small angel cries into her chest. "Sshh, it's okay, mija. Everything is all right. I forgive you. Everything will be all right."

Hazbin hotel au/rewrite, the seraphim.
There's always 2 at any given time, sometimes there's more but not usually.
The first two are Carmilla and Sera. IDK if Lucifer is a seraphim in hazbin hotel but in my au he's just a fallen arch angel.
Carmilla ran the executioners before Adam replaced her with the exterminators. She was the younger of her and Sera by only about a week.
Sera was the first seraphim, back before Lucifer fell she was more trusting and forgiving but she considered Lucifer and many other angels who fell including Carmilla as friends and it caused her to look down on sinners of all kinds.
Back before Lucifer fell she was kinda an asshole but more in the 'i've been alive longer than any of you, will you please just listen to me' way.
Meanwhile Carmilla saw all the same stuff and just interpreted it way differently causing them to butt heads more than once.
The day after Carmilla fell a new seraphim spawned, not Emily though. This seraphim left but never fell so Emily only came around the time Charlie did.
The seraphim that left was named Maria, no one knows exactly what happened to her but someone named the toy maker showed up in hell not too long after and people have theories.
