Braga Ch D R1: Marco Bortolotti/Daniel Cukierman def. Daniel Elahi Galan/Carlos Taberner 7-5, 6-1 Match Stats
📸 ATP official website
D.E. Galan/C. Taberner might have appeared aggressive to start the match, but it took several games for M. Bortolotti/D. Cukierman to get going, ultimately breaking back thanks to their anticipative returns. By the second set, while everything did not work for the former pair, the latter capitalized on it through putting more pressure from the baseline, utilizing the net well while keeping their point construction as concise as possible. This way, they converted 4 out of 7 break points compared to D.E. Galan/C. Taberner's 25% break point conversion rate out of their 4 chances to break.
Besides, M. Bortolotti/D. Cukierman also appeared more solid on serve thanks to their dominant second set showing. Scoring an ace to complement their first serves, they won 75% of their first serve points despite the slow start in the first few games of the match. Somehow, their only 2 double faults came right at the first game compared to D.E. Galan/C. Taberner's 3 double faults, which faded their second serve winning percentage to 45% as a result of the tank-mode in the second set.
In the quarterfinals, M. Bortolotti/D. Cukierman will face the winner between first seeds Victor Vlad Cornea/Denys Molchanov and Czech pair Hynek Barton/Vit Kopriva, which second set will start several timeslots after H. Barton finishes his second-round singles match, with the first seeds taking the first set 6-3. This could still be an intriguing match in terms of their pacing and their point construction, but it all depends on their final shot and range consistency to stand out at the end. Should be a fun watch to close the day with!

Okay so. I have rambled enough. I'm just going to give some fun facts and details, of the book. Just cause. I got all excited because the episode is just so much of the vibe it has.
Names! Main characters are, of course, Tadeusz Marek and Ruben Vergara. (I am cringing but I am free. I am cringing but I am free. I am cringing but I am free. I am–)
The book will be titled, Eden's Horizon.
Other characters names include;
Sophie! Lesbian Icon, who introduces Tadeusz to the job offer at the ranch, and lends him her mare.
Tahoma (Taho) and Zachariah (Zach)! One of the couples. A Navajo and a black man. Lovely guys. Zach's Tad's best friend at the crew.
Carlos and Philip! Another couple. The OGs there. Carlos' mexican and Philip is black as well. 2 Elder gentlemen, in their late 50s and early 60s. Philip's a sweetheart and Carlos is grumpy with a heart of gold and a past tragic love!
Zepporah! Sophie's secret girlfriend and barmaid at Sophie's father's tabern. Also, Zachariah' sister.
Premise! A young 25 year old man, from Chicago, (Tadeusz) leaves for the West although the uproar for it has largely died down when he does in 1898, for a new start to his life, and maybe a place more tolerant and open. Then through contacts he gets on his first day, he finds himself a job opportunity, at a Ranch in Arcadia, California.
And there is where he finds this handsome twink– I mean, young man, 21 year old, Ruben, the grand nephew of the current owner and grandson of the original, and trail boss of the horse trappers. And there's where our story begins!
Here's the vibe!

I was planning on doing a name's meaning gifset but Tyler acutually comes from 'tiles maker' and can be traced back to 'someone who owns a tabern' too which is not very inspiring... Carlos means 'king' and 'warrior', tho. I might still do that one.

The second set turned out to be a one-way traffic once M. Bortolotti/D. Cukierman nailed their return game, where they started with a service game hold to 1-0 before a successful smash from M. Bortolotti to the volley error from D.E. Galan/C. Taberner secured their 2-point lead. The former pair then secured their break point through D. Cukierman's forehand return winner, where even if the latter saved one of those break points, the former pair still broke to 2-0 before they consolidated with a service game hold to 3-0.
Subsequently, it was between some return winners and an erratic service game for D.E. Galan/C. Taberner, where they faced a deciding point due to their forehand error before another return ace from M. Bortolotti/D. Cukierman caused the break of serve to 4-0. They then strengthened their position with a service game hold to 5-0 before D.E. Galan/C. Taberner put their names on the board, but the former pair still baked the second-set breadstick (6-1) at the end as they secured their spot in the quarterfinals.

Wimbledon 2022, Day 1: Play suspended on outside courts due to rain
Jun 27, 2022 17:39 IST London , June 27 (Always First): The opening day of Wimbledon has been interrupted by rain, with play at the grass-court Grand Slam in London suspended at 11:40 a.m. local time on Monday. Centre Court and Court 1 at the All England Lawn Tennis Club are both fitted with a roof, meaning their schedules will commence as planned regardless of the weather. Defending champion Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz and home favourite Andy Murray kick off their campaigns at Wimbledon on Day 1. Opening day also features Hubert Hurkacz arriving at Wimbledon off the back of one of the performances of the season so far in his straight-sets win against Medvedev in Halle. The 2021 semi-finalist must pass a difficult opening test, however, in Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. British No. 1 Cameron Norrie kicks off the action on Court 2, where the ninth seed will take on Pablo Andujar. Norrie reached the third round for the first time in 2021 before falling to eight-time champion Roger Federer, and he arrives in London having already added two ATP Tour titles to his collection in 2022. Wild card Ryan Peniston, who upset Casper Ruud en route to the quarter-finals in Eastbourne, opens against Henri Laaksonen. Third seed Ruud seeks to respond strongly to that shock defeat against Albert Ramos-Vinolas. The Norwegian is seeking his maiden main draw win at Wimbledon, while Spaniard Ramos-Vinolas chases his first win on the London grass since he reached the third round in 2017. The 2014 semi-finalist Grigor Dimitrov is also in action, taking on Steve Johnson. Four seeded Americans also begin their campaigns Monday, led by the big-serving duo of Reilly Opelka and John Isner. The 15th seed Opelka is up against Carlos Taberner, while 20th seed Isner faces French qualifier Enzo Couacaud. Their countryman Frances Tiafoe, the 23rd seed, takes on Italian qualifier Andrea Vavassori, while 30th seed Tommy Paul meets Fernando Verdasco. Top seed Novak Djokovic takes on Soonwoo Kwon on Centre Court at 1:30 p.m local time, with two-time champion Andy Murray in action later on against James Duckworth. On Court 1, the play starts at 1:00 p.m. local time, with Carlos Alcaraz facing Jan-Lennard Struff. (Always First) Read the full article
