Why were so many people on pojo idiots when there were so many sources to get in order to have significant knowledge on how to apply theory properly? They could have easily asked some top players the purpose of Jinzo in maintaining advantage rather than making an assumption based on limited information.
Tumblr media
Top players don't like giving out information, Anon, to avoid losing their edge.
Also, a lot of things became religions and cargo cults on Pojo, and people weren't particularly rational about a lot subjects. Card Advantage Theory, Pharaoh Atem's opinions on the Forbidden & Limited List led to multiple factions of cargo cults, Harassing and bullying anyone into the OCG after Kevin Tewart joined Pojo.
And pretty sure Card Advantage became one of those cargo cults.

Is Mastery of the Unseen (White Enchantment that lets you manifest the top card of your library as an activated ability) a break in white because of the cardadvantage?
It鈥檚 pushing the boundaries for white (aka a pretty big bend), yes.

Do you know what the R&D of other Japanese card games (Like Bushiroad) think of Card Advantage theory?
Tumblr media
No.

But if traps that screwed your opponents card and field advantage over immensely were popular, then wouldn鈥檛 keeping those traps from activating in the first place be an incredibly obvious way to ensure card advantage, even to the average Yugioh player?
Tumblr media
Anon. Yes.
I know this. You know this.
My point is: This was late Aughts Pojo, with one of its ideological movements.
You'd have better chances of finding intelligent life on Mars with some of the directions people were taking their card game theory to. These were the types to assign Jinzo a bad card because it didn't destroy, bounce or spin cards.
