THROUGH THE MOTIONS [pt. 2] ⋆.˚𖦹⋆✮⋆.˚ Ollie Bearman
series tags - ollie bearman x afab!reader, enemies to lovers, slight angst, slight sickfic moment, eventual smut, explicit sexual content
synopsis - Between you getting an international driving permit and a rental car or having to spend time carpooling with the Ferrari Driver Academy co-driver you despised the most, you just had to choose the more difficult option. (Spoiler alert: it didn’t have anything to do with getting the permit or a rental car.)
parts - 1 | 2
rating - part 2 - explicit
warnings -  18+!!! minors dni, alcohol, driving without an international license! (please get the right paper work lol), explicit sexual content, unsafe sex
a/n - this video lowkey fired me up to write this. anyways, enjoy this filth !
Everything was almost annoyingly normal in the next few days—or at least, as normal as you and Ollie could be. It was as if both of you were just going through the motions, not caring to talk about what had just transpired. It was infuriating that you didn’t talk about it, but it was just as daunting to begin thinking about talking about it.
Ollie would pick you up, bring you home, and you two would repeat that routine without a word uttered aside from absolutely necessary one-worded small talk. It was almost peaceful if it didn’t carry a heavy tension in the air.
Sometimes you just wished you could figure out what he was thinking. Other times, you couldn’t help but wonder if he wanted to know what was in your mind too.
Tumblr media
The next time Ollie picked you up was for a joint birthday celebration for two Prema engineers. The house where it was being held was quite a long drive away, and you couldn’t figure out how to get there for the life of you. Maybe it was uncharacteristic of you to text Ollie if he was going and if he could bring you, but again, you had no other options and he was bringing you to work practically everyday anyway; what was one more drive?
You waited out in the cold evening air in an outfit you wished you’d brought a thicker jacket for, and the familiar vehicle pulled up again like clockwork.
When you opened the door, your breath hitched in your throat as your eyes landed on Ollie.
He was in a baby blue button down that looked just swanky enough to make him look more polished than usual. His curls were a bit tamer than usual too, like he’d been running his hands through them incessantly, and his cologne was a tad bit more noticeable. It made you feel like you were being flayed alive that he looked just that good.
You got in the seat, buckling yourself in, trying not to look at him directly again as if he’d become the sun himself.
“Why’d you give me that look?” You could hear the grin in his voice as he started the car. It filled you with a guilty, eye-roll inducing feeling—but you felt your mouth tugging up into a smile like you couldn’t control your body anymore.
You squeezed your eyes closed, like it could stop the feelings rushing through your gut.
“You look—“ Nice. Cute. You clean up pretty decent. “—less horrible.”
His laugh was obviously complacent, like he knew he fished another ounce of vulnerability out of you. Still, you felt like that first time was more his fault than yours. After all, it was his fault he looked for you, and it was his choice to stay.
“You too?” He answered back.
The car ride was exactly 52 minutes. You had to pretend you didn’t want to throw up for a whole 52 minutes.
Tumblr media
When you got to the party, it was all the same with you and Ollie. It wasn’t like a few remarks were going to change anything, much less his heroics to make you drink tea when you were sick in order to make you feel even just a little bit better.
You were convinced nothing could drastically change your dynamic. Maybe you felt like his presence, no matter how annoying it could be at times, had grown into something reliable and comfortable—like a pair of ugly yet useful boots that needed to make your toes bleed before you could walk in them.
To an outsider, it would’ve looked like you were a couple emerging from the car. Still, there was no getting your door, helping you with your things, or holding your hand as you stepped out. It was him, then you, then the two of you separately.
The party went on like that, but you couldn’t bring yourself to mind. Everyone at Prema never made you feel out of place, and it was a welcome break from all the noise about ‘how it feels to be this’ and ‘what does it mean to you to do that’.
Of course, there was alcohol, but you couldn’t bring yourself to indulge and possibly become embarrassing around anyone, especially Ollie for that matter.
You’d drift in and out of circles, a cola in one hand and your phone in another. This was your safe space, despite how fleeting the concept of home was for motorsport drivers. Prema was steady, stable, and ready to be there for you in good times and bad times, and you hoped Ferrari would continue to be the same. It was still strange that Ollie was part of both of those things, if not an integral part of those things in your life.
As the conversations began to die down and your social battery began to falter, you found yourself sitting on a lumpy sofa in the corner of the living room, people-watching from a distance. You were content where you were, an easy smile playing on your lips as you watched 30-something Italian men gesticulate in the foreground.
That was until a familiar looming figure appeared in your periphery before taking the spot next to you uninvited.
“That’s where you went.” Ollie said simply, his breath smelling like a mix of white wine and whiskey. His cheeks were more flushed than you’d ever seen them, and you felt the warmth of his body radiate on you.
“What d’you need?” You asked, trying not to think about your ride home later or how far down his flush went (it was disappearing down his neck and under his button down.)
“Nothing.” He paused and seemed to contemplate for a second. “A hug would be nice.”
Forget a bear, right now he looked more like a petulant little puppy than anything.
You were confused, but considering how drunk he seemed to be, his attitude didn’t come out of thin air. He’d probably forget about all this in the morning anyway.
“Okay, um, from me?” You trailed off as you looked at him, his arms already wide open. You should’ve been worrying about how the engineers and staff might react to this, or how embarrassing all of this actually was in the greater scheme of things. It was your fault, though, that you obliged.
Ollie laid his arms around your shoulders and nuzzled his head into your neck, sighing. He was taller than you, so the angle was a tad awkward. Ollie didn’t seem to mind at all though.
Little did you know that he would take it as a chance to not let go. All things considered, you accepted your fate pretty quickly.
After a few minutes, Rene (of course he’d notice first) approached the two of you, a goofy, knowing grin on his face.
“I told you! Him driving you would get you two to like each other.” Rene said with a laugh.
“No, Rene, we’re not—“ You tried to answer back but the man shook his head.
“Nonsense. I’d know.” He winked in an overly exaggerated way to punctuate his statement. “Anyway, is your chauffer alright?”
You glanced at Ollie, who seemed to be taking a nap with his hair pressed into the nook of your neck.
“Not great.” You deduced.
“You should be the one to drive tonight, he is out of it for sure. Just don’t get caught.” Rene decided for you.
It shouldn’t have ended there, but it did. Little did you know, whatever this was didn’t really have an end in sight.
Tumblr media
You sat there for a moment, holding the weight of Ollie’s head against your shoulder, feeling strangely stuck in limbo. The night had shifted unexpectedly into something intimate, confusing, and decidedly uncharacteristic for the both of you.
“Alright, up you go,” you muttered under your breath, nudging Ollie’s shoulder. He groaned in protest but eventually sat up, his head lolling back against the couch.
“You good?” you asked, leaning forward slightly to catch his gaze. His eyes were glassy, his lips tugging into a lopsided grin.
“Never better,” he mumbled, and you couldn’t help but roll your eyes.
“I’m driving,” you announced, standing up and straightening your jacket.
Ollie blinked up at you, processing your words with the speed of molasses. “You don’t have a license.”
“Neither should you right now,” you shot back, holding your hand out to him. “Keys, Ollie. Or we’re both walking.”
He grumbled something under his breath before fishing the keys out of his pocket and handing them to you. His fingers brushed yours for just a second too long, and you felt a strange jolt of electricity shoot up your arm.
“Come on,” you said, avoiding his gaze and pulling him to his feet.
The walk to the car was uneventful, aside from Ollie’s occasional stumbling. You kept a firm grip on his arm, steadying him when he leaned too far to one side.
“You’re bossy when you’re sober,” he slurred, leaning his head against your shoulder as you fumbled with the keys.
“And you’re unbearable when you’re drunk,” you retorted, shoving him gently into the passenger seat.
The drive back to your host family’s house in Maranello was quiet, save for the occasional murmur from Ollie as he slouched against the window. The streets were empty at this hour, the soft hum of the engine filling the silence.
“You didn’t have to come get me,” Ollie said suddenly, breaking the quiet. His voice was softer now, tinged with something that sounded like regret.
“Yeah, well,” you muttered, keeping your eyes on the road. “I wasn’t about to leave you there.”
He turned his head to look at you, his gaze heavy. “You’re too good for that.”
You scoffed, trying to brush off the unexpected compliment. “Don’t get sentimental on me now, Ollie.”
The rest of the drive passed in a haze of quiet moments and shared glances. When you finally pulled into the driveway of your host family’s house, you turned to look at him.
“Come on,” you said, nudging his arm. “You’re not staying alone tonight.”
Ollie blinked at you, his brow furrowing slightly. “Here?”
“Unless you want me to take you back to your place and risk having Dino or Rafa film you passed out on the couch,” you said, arching a brow.
He considered this for a moment, then nodded. “Fair point.”
Tumblr media
Getting him inside was another adventure. You shushed him more times than you could count as he stumbled over the threshold, laughing quietly at his own clumsiness.
“Shh,” you hissed, dragging him toward the guest room you’d been staying in. “My host parents are asleep.”
Ollie grinned at you, his steps faltering as you guided him to the bed. “You’re like a secret agent,” he whispered dramatically.
“Yeah, well, secret agents don’t babysit drunk soon-to-be Formula 1 drivers,” you muttered, pushing him gently onto the mattress.
He flopped down with a satisfied sigh, kicking off his shoes and wriggling under the covers. You stood there for a moment, watching him settle in, his face soft in the dim light.
“You good?” you asked, your voice quieter now.
He nodded, his eyes already fluttering shut. “Thanks,” he mumbled, his voice barely audible.
“For what?”
“For… not leaving me.”
You didn’t know how to respond, so you simply tugged the blanket up to his shoulders and turned off the light.
As you closed the door behind you, you couldn’t help but smile to yourself. Whatever this was, it wasn’t over—not by a long shot.
Tumblr media
When morning arrived, took a moment to register the unfamiliar weight against your side, the soft sound of breathing near your ear.
Ollie.
He was still asleep, his face turned toward you, his curls a wild mess against the pillow. One of his arms had ended up slung loosely across your waist, his hand resting near your hip. You froze, your mind racing as you pieced together the hazy events of the night before, the same clothes still on as a reminder that all of this was real.
He must’ve shifted in his sleep, you told yourself. It wasn’t like either of you had planned this. And yet, the steady warmth of him next to you sent a pang of something—comfort? Panic?—coursing through you.
You shifted slightly, trying to wiggle free without waking him.
“Don’t,” he mumbled, his voice groggy and muffled. His arm tightened just a fraction, holding you in place.
“Ollie,” you whispered, trying to keep your tone steady.
“Five more minutes,” he muttered, his eyes still closed, a sleepy smile tugging at his lips.
“Seriously, you’re—”
He cracked one eye open, his gaze meeting yours, and the sight of him that close—soft, unguarded—made your words falter.
“You stayed with me,” he said, his voice rasping with sleep.
“Yeah, well,” you mumbled, looking anywhere but at him. “You were in no shape to be left alone.”
“Good excuse,” he teased, though his tone was gentle, his hand brushing against your side as he shifted to prop himself up on one elbow.
You shot him a look, heat rising to your cheeks. “You’re lucky I didn’t just leave you on the couch.”
“Lucky, huh?” he said, his grin widening.
There was something about the way he was looking at you—like he was trying to memorize every detail of this moment—that made your chest tighten.
“Yeah, what are you gonna do about it?” You tried to taunt, without any bite coming out of it like you meant for it to. Instead you felt your faces inching ever closer, so close that you swore you heard his pulse racing in time with yours.
That was finally, finally when his lips crashed into yours. Your body felt like it was about to give out, but it was even more overwhelming that you knew Ollie was right there to catch you. You were lightheaded from how much you wanted this.
“Okay?” Ollie pulled away to ask as he moved to pin you down on your bed. You honestly couldn’t think straight anymore.
“Yeah, God, just—come on.” You replied breathlessly, and you felt Ollie smile against your lips. It was imperfect in most ways, morning breath and all, but it was everything you never knew you wanted. Maybe it was everything you weren’t allowing yourself to have.
Ollie continued to move on top of you, moving to kiss your forehead and cheeks before proceeding to bite down on your neck. That left you gasping for air, melting like putty in his hands.
Next thing you know, you’re pawing at his button-down, all rucked up and wrinkled from your activities the night before. He made quick work of it, and soon the baby blue was discarded on the floor, the pile soon being joined by the dress you had on, and Ollie’s trousers.
“Shame, I liked that.” Ollie said as your dress hit the ground. “I like this more though.” His toothy grin took on a whole meaning of its own now, one that you’d probably think about nights from now, with your hands down your underwear.
“Shut up.” You answered back, your body deciding to blush in spite of yourself and the situation you were already in.
You continued kissing, harder and more desperate than before, and Ollie was grinding into you through the thin layers that still remained between the two of you. The whimpers that left his mouth made you feel a sense of power over him, one you never thought you’d have. It wasn’t drunkening though, it was more of a soft glow that you felt exuding from your body.
“I don’t have a condom,” Ollie was the breathless one now. “We don’t have to—“
“I’m on the pill.” You said with finality and a hint of desperation. You weren’t sure if you wanted Ollie to know the latter or not, but you definitely wanted what was to come.
“Fuck, okay.” Ollie looked a little blindsided by that, eyes blown wide and filled with what you could only explain as unabashed want.
You unclasped your bra (you wished you could pause and frame the look on Ollie’s face when you did) and shimmed out of your underwear. When Ollie slipped out of his boxers, you hoped your face didn’t give away any particular thought. Because honestly, he was well-endowed.
“Like something you see?” He had the nerve to be smug as his cock was out, red and hot and waiting.
“Could say the same for you.” You retorted, pulling him down by his neck so you’d be face to face as it happened.
You wrapped your legs around his hips, and he seemed to get the signal because soon, you felt his tip breach your entrance. You bit your lip to prevent any noises, seeing as your host family was likely still home somewhere.
Ollie continued to slide in slowly, biting at your shoulder probably with the same sentiments as you. When you felt his hips flush against yours, you relished in how good it felt to be completely full.
A soft “Move,” exited your mouth, and soon Ollie was pulling back and thrusting into you with force. You were so grateful your beframe wasn’t betraying you with sounds of what was going on.
It was surprisingly tender, but still so satisfying. Ollie was thrusting into you at a steady but deep pace, leaving you gasping and leaving crescent-shaped indents down his back as you tried to hold on.
Something shifted though when Ollie hitched up your left leg and started thrusting into you harder and faster. You felt yourself barelling straight to release as you could feel everything without any barriers between you and him.
“Ollie, please.” You cried out, him now hitting your g-spot with every thrust. He was still fucking you in earnest, but clearly getting sloppy.
“Let go for me baby, that’s it.” Ollie encouraged, punctuating with particuarly hard thrusts, leaving you clenching uncontrollably. Eventually, you felt your orgasm roll through you, and you pulled Ollie back into a kiss just to muffle the sounds you were making.
You felt Ollie still hammering into you, and you could nearly cry from the excess of pleasure and overstimulation you felt. He laid into you with one, two more deep thrusts and he was spilling inside you with a grunt he couldn’t silence.
Ollie laid on you, his head nuzzled into your neck, softening cock still inside you.
“You keep surprising me.” Ollie broke your solemn silence, brushing his fingers over your face.
“I hope you like surprises.” You quipped back, unable to hold back your smile. You knew that this moment had to end sooner or later, and this would turn a bit disgusting with Ollie’s cum drying between your legs. However both of you were here now, still. Here. Still.
“I do, actually;” Ollie replied simply. “I do.”

Better than me - Charles Leclerc x Reader P3
Plot: You are a rookie in your first f1 season, adding to the ever-growing amount of Brits performing in the grid.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"I think this is the perfect outfit" your manager tells you, as you open the door for her. You'd asked for her opinion on what you should wear, knowing that you'd be in pictures with your friends tonight and you didn't want to come across badly on the media.
"Do you want to drive?" she asked, you didn't normally drink but she didn't know if you'd want to let loose and have some fun tonight where you'd performed so well in the race.
"Erm, no I'll drive. You know what I'm like" you smiled, the minute you passed your test on your 17th birthday you never let anyone else drive.
"Well, seems like your all ready. Bahrain has been a blast, so lets go party tonight and get you ready for Saudi yeah?" she smiles and you both head down to the rental Audi you'd been using while here in Bahrain.
You'd pulled up to the venue that Charles had sent you after you exchanged numbers. Half an hour after that you'd been added to a group chat called 'The Grid Boiss'

You'd laughed at the fact that the whole name had been changed just for you.
"Y/N over here! Come here!" you heard from the left and see a load of flashing cameras as you hop out the car. Your manager had agreed she would park your car while you went in and made appearances.
You walk over to see fans and the Paparazzi, all taking pictures. You start to sign objects thrusted towards you, some getting progressively stranger making you laugh with the fans. You had a few people ask for pictures and hugs so of course you oblige, taking selfies left and right giggling while people ask you numerous questions.
Eventually you say your goodbyes and head into the club, the bouncer not recognizing you, made a scrunched face waving his hand for you to leave.
"I've been invited by Charles Leclerc I'm a" you start but the tall man interrupts you.
"You know how many times I've heard that sweetheart, now lets ,move on and go down the street" he says his hand softly resting on your shoulder.
"I'm a driver, I'm with Audi this year sir. Not a fan" you try to explain but he scoffs.
"Sure you are... and I'm" he starts but Charles and Daniel come rolling out the club dying of laughter, before spotting you.
"Y'N" Daniel shines, pulling you in for a hug and leaning down to place a friendly kiss on your cheek.
"My apologies" the security guard admits. Nodding for you to follow the two guys in.
You take Danny's hand dragging him in, you walk through into the dark room faced by Neon lights and smoke from a machine up at the DJ booth.
"Is- is that Lando?" you shout to Danny and Charles over the music trying to work out in the person in the bucket hat up at the DJ booth messing around with the actual DJ.
"Yes, yes it is" Danny laughs shaking his head.
"Pierre, Alex!" you shout spotting them by the bar.
"Ahhh Y/N you want us to get you a drink?" Pierre smirks, looking behind you a Charles who had an odd expression on his face.
You'd only really given him a short hello when you'd first arrived and it irked him, he wanted you to talk to him, he wanted to get to know you.
But then again, the club wasn't exactly the best place for deep and meaningful conversations.
"Well Charles won today, so maybe let him buy the drinks?" Alex asks also seeing the expression on his face.
"One thing i wont ever say no to is a free drink, however I am driving so no alcohol please" you say twisting round to look at Charles having felt his presence behind you for a while.
"You've been driving all day, and you will drive here and back?" Charles asks, his gaze was so... prominent. It had your head dipping down not to meet his eye.
"I don't trust anyone else to drive" you smile, Pierre grabs you the drink, Charles leaning over you to swipe his card on the reader. He smiled down at you before taking the glass and bringing it to your waiting hand.
"Thanks, love" you grin, nodding you head at him.
"Hey guys, you look amazing Y/N" Lewis says coming over and joining the group, George trailing behind him. You pull him in for a hug thanking him for the compliment before returning it.
"You wanna go dance?" Charles asks placing his empty glass on the counter, looking over you.
"Yeah sure! You guys coming?" you ask the group that you'd situated yourself with for the night.
"Nah, we're gonna attempt to pull Lando away from the booth" Alex laughs, looking up to the stage, Lando was dancing to the beat, headphones on around his neck while the DJ just had his arms crossed watching him.
"Okay, if you need help just come and grab us" you smiled before taking Charles hand, you pull him into the middle of the dance floor.
You both are dancing together, originally you'd been facing each other, just watching each other and the way that they moved. However, as the dancing became more you'd turned around and his hands had swiftly made their way onto your waist.
Between the dancing Charles had gone back and forth getting drinks, having now been on his 4th shot and seventh drink he was beyond drunk.
You pulled him too a quiet corner, so that he could here you a little better.
"Charlie, listen to me. Do you have a way back to the hotel?" you ask, looking around to see if you can find Danny, Lewis or Pierre. The people you assumed that would be taking him home.
"Pierre he took me here" he grins, leaning into you resting his head on your stomach groaning.
"Okay stay here in this seat. I'm going to find him" you direct, you move back onto the dance floor, looking around for people. However, Pierre seemed to not be there, only Alex and George remained, talking to one another.
"Hey guys where's Pierre?" you ask, coming up next to their booth.
"Oh, he left with Lewis, Oscar and Lando a while ago" Alex offers, looking over at George hoping he'll add to the statement.
"Yeah Lando and Oscar were very drunk so they took them home. Why?" George asks.
"Charles is really drunk and he's saying Pierre was supposed to take him back!" you admit, not knowing what to do.
"Well, my cars full. You drove didn't you? Could you take him back?" Alex asks, smiling slightly making you groan.
"Sure, but if he throws up in MY rental, you Pierre and Charles are splitting that" you frown, looking back at Charles who is currently sat in his chair, scrolling aimlessly through his phone.
You walk back over, gripping his arm, he looks up at you with a massive grin.
"Come on, lets get you to bed" you tell him, he nods hopping up swaying a little bit in the process.
"You, are very very pretty" he grins, as he leans into you.
"Come on Charles" you laugh, gripping him so he wouldn't trip taking him to you car.
Tomorrow you'd actually talk to him.

Another Lie || CL16 {5} - Max's Ending
Warnings: 18+ only, fluff, angst WC: 2.7k
F1 Masterlist || One || Two || Three || Four || Five (Charles) || Five (Max) || 5.1 blurb request
Tumblr media
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” you sighed as you saw the traffic backed up behind a collision. There was no way you were going to make it to your flight with the busy narrow streets brought to a standstill.
Knowing there was nothing to be done you found a good playlist and hummed along to the songs until you swore you heard your name. Sure enough, when you turned the music down and looked up you found Max Verstappen walking out of the apartment block beside you.
“It is you,” he greeted with a bright smile as he walked up to the door of your rental car.
There was no point leaving the engine running when the traffic wasn’t going to move any time soon, so you turned it off and unbuckled your seatbelt.
“Are you back for good?” he asked as he opened the door for you.
“I was actually on my way to the airport but that doesn’t look like it’s happening now.”
His smile dimmed around the edges. “Oh, what brought you back?”
“The baby shower. Weren’t you invited?” You frowned as you remembered seeing at least Pierre, Carlos and Lando at the venue and there were probably more drivers that you didn’t notice.
“I’m not interested in going anywhere that asshole is. The only place I see him is in my rearview mirrors on the track.”
Your frown deepened at the acidic answer. “I thought you were friends.” They had always been friends off the track and you had even been to Max’s birthday parties with Charles.
“No, that ended in Vegas. My mother used to say we’re only as good as the company we keep, so I told him my opinion and left it at that.”
Your lips parted but you were too stunned to speak and it took a second to recover. “Your opinion?”
His blue eyes held yours as he stepped closer so no one overheard the conversation. “I told him he was a fucking imbecile and that you were better off without him. You deserve better.”
You looked down at your feet with a smile and a soft laugh. “Thank you, Max. I honestly didn’t think anyone cared.”
“I tried to call you to see how you were…” His hand came to rest on the small of your back and guided you off the street that was getting busier as more drivers left their vehicles. “Do you want to come and wait upstairs?”
You looked around the crowd and saw some had their phones out snapping pictures of Max. “Is Kelly here? I don’t want to cause any problems for you.”
“You won’t,” he said quietly as he led the way inside. “She moved out a few months ago.”
“Oh, that sucks. What happened? If you don’t mind. I don’t exactly keep up with the gossip pages anymore.”
He pressed the button for the elevator to the penthouse as he shrugged. “We were at different points in our life and she wanted things I just wasn’t ready for.”
“Commitment?” you asked curiously but he barked a laugh and shook his head.
“Commitment I have no issue with,” he sighed and brushed a hand through his hair as the elevator climbed higher and higher, “but she wanted to have another baby because she was turning 35. I didn’t think age was a good enough reason to bring a child into the world, and I don’t want to be a part time father but I’m sure as hell not ready to retire either.”
Most people misunderstood Max’s blunt honesty as being cold and impersonal but you welcomed the practicality of it after all the lies you had been told. You respected him even more for it.
“And she really wasn’t willing to wait a few more years?”
“I thought she was. She said she was,” he said as he unlocked his door and opened it for you. “When I found her flushing her pills down the toilet, it was over.”
“Oh, Max,” you sighed and wrapped your arms around his waist knowing all too well how hurtful it was to be fed lies. “I’m sorry.”
He was slow to return the hug but you had to admit it felt nice when his arms encircled your waist and you realised it was the first time you had ever actually hugged him.
“Do you want a drink?” he asked after you pulled away not wanting to make him uncomfortable.
“I’m not keeping you from your day, am I?”
He shook his head. “I was only going for a walk to get out of the house. My own company wasn’t cutting it.”
“I know that feeling.” You smiled as he spoke of another similarity you shared and followed him to the kitchen. “I’ll have whatever you’re having, thanks.”
He gestured to the kitchen island where a couple of bar stools were tucked away and you took a seat as you inspected the gorgeous home.
“You look great,” Mac said suddenly as he handed you a glass of orange juice. “I almost didn’t recognise you, you look…happy.”
“Thanks…I think,” you chuckled before taking a sip of the drink.
“No, but seriously. Every time I saw you it looked like you were in pain. I guess you were, I just didn’t know why.” He sat beside you with his own glass and ran his finger around the rim. “So tell me, what have you been doing with your freedom?”
An hour later Max had heard all about your ‘recovery time’ as you had called it and he had smiled proudly as you regaled the adventures you had been on after the initial heartbreak. You had then moved out onto his large terrace to enjoy the afternoon, and it was the perfect spot to sit and watch to see when the road was ready to be reopened.
You were disappointed when the road was almost cleared and it was time to start making your way back down. It had been fun hanging out with Max and actually getting to know him. Whenever you had spoken in the past Charles had always been quick to take you away, his jealousy and possessive nature keeping you from ever getting too close to anyone else.
“Are you sure you have to go?” Max asked as he walked you back to your car and saw your luggage on the back seat. “You only just got here.”
“I know,” you sighed sadly. “I didn’t expect to want to stay longer.”
“Can I at least get your new number?” he asked as he pulled his phone out of his pocket. “So I can actually hear how you are doing.”
You grinned as you took his phone and entered the number very few people had. “I’d like that, Max.”
He opened your car door and you surprised him as you threw your arms around his waist but he returned the hug much faster this time.
“I hope I can see you again soon,” he admitted in your ear before he kissed your cheek and stepped back. “I like seeing you happy.”
“Me too.” The smile he had brought to your face would remain there for hours as you slipped into the driver's seat and placed your phone in the holder. “I’ll be waiting for your call.”
He closed the door for you and as you pulled away from the curb your phone rang over the stereo. You could see him in the rearview mirror with his phone to his ear and you hit the answer button.
“Hey,” you greeted with a giggle.
“I didn’t want to keep you waiting…”
Four Years Later.
A dark head of hair disappeared into the narrow alley between motorhomes and you frowned as you waited for another to follow. When three long seconds had passed and no one went after him you darted out of the Red Bull motorhome and into the same alleyway.
Industrial sized power cords littered the floor and hazard signs lined the cladding of the two motorhomes that housed the Red Bull and the Ferrari central hubs. You knew he couldn’t have gotten far as you burst out the other end and into the busy paddock, your eyes scanning the crowds before spotting him weaving aimlessly through the people.
“Jules!” The boy stopped as you called out and he looked around to figure out who it came from. By then you had reached him and placed a hand on his shoulder as you knelt to his height. “Where are you heading, little man?”
“Looking for my father,” he said with tears in his green eyes. He was the spitting image of Charles with his hair and those eyes, it was just like looking at his childhood photos again.
“I can help you, Jules, if that’s alright? My name is Y/N.”
He politely shook your hand that you offered. “How do you know my name?”
“I’ve known your father for a very long time and you look just like him. Come on, I’ll take you to him.”
You fired a quick message to Max letting him know where you were disappearing to since he was expecting to find you in hospitality.
“Do you like racing?” you asked, making small talk along the way.
He nodded eagerly. “I’m going to race for Ferrari when I grow up.”
“I remember another boy who said the same thing, and he did it so I know you can too if you put your mind to it.”
You received a few odd looks when you entered the Ferrari garage but no one stopped you as you weaved through the workshop and tire shelves and eventually found a familiar face.
“Alessandro, have you seen Charles?”
Alessandro’s eyebrows rose at the guest tucked behind your legs before pointing to the room with Charles’ name on it. “Careful. He’s in a bad mood.”
“When isn’t he,” you muttered as you led the way and rapped your knuckles on the door.
“What?”
“Pére!” Jules shouted happily when he heard his father’s voice and the door was torn open.
Charles’ face flashed through a montage of emotions. Shock, confusion, excitement, anger. You watched it all as his eyes darted between you and his son before he recovered and picked Jules up.
“Where’s your mother?” Charles asked, his voice laced with barely restrained anger. “You’re meant to be with her.”
Jules shrugged. “Don’t know, but I want to stay with you. Can’t I stay with you, pére?”
Charles sighed and tucked Jules’ head into his neck so the boy didn’t see his jaw clench or hear his teeth gnash together.
“I found him wandering the paddock looking for you,” you explained as you backed away. “I didn’t see Sapphire anywhere.”
“I’m surprised you even noticed, you’re always so busy with Max.”
You rolled your eyes at the bitterness. Charles had never accepted his situation he got himself into or the fact that you moved on. There wasn’t a conversation where he didn’t criticise the relationship you had with Max which was why you tried to avoid it where possible.
“Maybe you should worry more about your own family and less about mine. There’s 20,000 people in the paddock today, Charles, you should be thanking the fucking stars it was me who found him.” An annoyed sound growled in the back of your throat as he didn’t even blink at your words and you knew sparing anymore would be a waste of breath. “It was nice to meet you, Jules. Goodbye, Charles.”
A hand caught yours as you turned away and you narrowed your eyes at the owner until he dropped it. “Why him?”
In all honesty, the question was three years overdue. Charles had had plenty of opportunities to ask that question in the years since the relationship had gone public and you returned to the paddock, only this time it was in support of Red Bull.
“Do you hate me that much?” he asked when you remained silent.
“I don’t hate you, Charles,” you said honestly. “To hate you would mean feeling something for you, which I don’t. My relationship with Max has absolutely nothing to do with you. Max and I understand each other and we respect each other, it’s a relationship built on trust and it’s healthy.”
“What a load of shit,” Charles snorted and put Jules down on the chair in his room before stepping closer. “You can lie to yourself but you can’t lie to me, bella. You always liked to play these games to make me jealous.”
You stepped out of the room as you saw the dark glint in his eyes, but still he followed you through the garage as his crew watched. There was an edge to him that grown sharper over the years as he spiralled into the hole he found himself in, but so long as his risks paid off on the track no one brought attention to the behaviour.
“This isn’t a game, Charles. Haven’t you learnt that yet?” You reached the fresh air and saw the welcoming red and black colours next door. “You could have lost Jules today. Go and take care of your son.”
An arm curled around your waist and you breathed a sigh of relief and Max kissed your temple. “I was just coming to find you.”
“Why? Worried she came crawling back to me?” Charles challenged with a smirk.
“No, I don’t have to worry about that,” Max laughed before he recovered and looked at you. “We have an announcement to make. Ready, my love?”
You laced your fingers together and nodded, a flutter of excitement rippling through you at the thought. “Ready.”
“What’s the announcement?”
“I’m not going to spoil the surprise,” Max said as he walked you into Red Bull where everyone was waiting. Spotlights were aimed at the two chairs behind a table draped in Red Bull livery and Max pulled your seat out for you, pushing it back in as you sat down. The heat of the spotlights were uncomfortable but you forgot about it when Max kissed you knuckles and gave you a reassuring smile. “No backing out now.”
You chuckled and squeezed his hand that rested on your thigh. “It’s a little late for that.”
The media producer held his hand up and counted down the seconds to the cameras going live. For two people who lived relatively private lives, you were about to make a lot of noise but in a few short months it would be impossible to keep secret anyway.
“The people here at Red Bull have been my family for the past decade and I would not have had the success of winning five championships without their support. I want to thank each and every one of you guys for all the hard work you have done over the years.” Max’s voice started to crack and pulled his hand up higher so it rested against the very slight swell of your stomach.
“This will be my last session in Formula 1,” he said to the camera with a smile. “I will be retiring from racing to start a much more exciting adventure with my wife, as we are having a family of our own.”
A loud cheer erupted through the packed motorhome and Max looked happier than when he was on the top podium as he kissed you in the chaos. “I love you,” he whispered against your lips. “You and our child will never want for anything, I will always be there for you, both of you.”
“I know. I trust you,” you replied as you rested your forehead against his. Max had shown you how love was supposed to be, he had shown you how to trust again. He had kept every promise he ever made, he treated you like a queen and worshipped you like a goddess. You couldn’t imagine a better man to spend the rest of your life with and raise a family with. “I love you, Max. You’re my everything.”

Special Birthday Surprise [Ewan Mitchell x Fem!Reader]
Other HOTD stories [requests open]
A/N: Seeing mine and Ewan’s birthday is only seven days apart, I decided to post an early birthday one shot for Ewan. Hope y’all enjoy. 💚 (it’s a few days late- it was supposed to be posted on my birthday- I apologize. 😂)
Summary: Being Ewan’s longtime girlfriend, you have rarely spent a birthday without him. With filming of the second season of House of the Dragon beginning shortly before his birthday, it was believed you would not be able to spend it together….
“Oh, he is going to be so excited!”
You smiled hearing Phia gush over your birthday present for Ewan. “I know, he called me the other night saying he wished I was here,” You said giggling.
You came in on a flight last night, everyone being in on the surprise. You had called a local bakery ahead of time to make a special cake in the shape of a green dragon.
"Mama!" Your five-year-old daughter, Charlotte- or Lottie for short- whined a bit. "I want to see daddy." She pouted.
You giggled while picking up your daughter. You remembered when you first found out you were pregnant; Ewan was so excited to be a father. He had been there with you through your good times and your bad. A part of you was scared that he was not going to take the news well at all but he was beyond happy to become a father, even if you were so young at the time.
"Well, Phia is going to take us to set," You began while rubbing her back gently. "Then we're going to surprise daddy with a giant dragon cake."
Lottie pouted but nodded. The girl may have been a spitting image of you, but she was a daddy's girl through and through.
“Tom is distracting Ewan right now,” Phia spoke up as she helped you with your bags in the rental car. “He calls it operation surprise birthday party.”
You couldn’t help but giggle at the name while you got Lottie in her booster seat. “I trust Tom being a good distraction.”
You gotten along well with all of Ewan’s costars, them especially loving Lottie. It did not matter if they were Team Black or Team Green, they absolutely loved the young girl.
“Well, let’s get Operation Surprise Birthday Party underway,” You said while getting in the passenger seat.
“Yeah!” Lottie squealed causing you and Phia to giggle.
“I believe Tom and Ewan are in the middle of filming so it shouldn’t be hard to sneak everything in,” Phia explained.
You rubbed Lottie’s back as Phia led you into the big green room. You smiled seeing the banners already up and balloons set in place.
“It looks like you guys have been busy,” You said while giggling.
“Well, Fabien was a good guard dog while we set it up,” Phia stated with a small smirk.
You laughed a bit once more. "So, they should be dropping the cake off around two," You stated while checking the time on your phone. "It should give us plenty of time to finish setting everything up."
Phia blew out a breath while nodding. "I know we still need to set up the gift table still and have a few decorations to hang up."
You looked around with a small smile. You knew he was going to love this little surprise, and even love the present that you had for him. He had never been one for presents, always enjoying the company you and your daughter brought him yet this present was a special one.
"Let's get going then!" You said while tying your hair back so it was out of your face.
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
“He should be here in about five minutes," Olivia called while walking into the break room.
You nodded a bit, placing your hands on your hips. The green dragon cake turned out to be perfect- even better than you expected. The present table was completely filled from costars that were there to costars that sent their presents in. You even were able to bring presents from his family. You wanted to make this day extra special.
“I feel like Tom needs a raise for being the distraction,” You said with a small giggle. You looked around and smiled at everyone that could make it. “Thank you guys for your help. It really means a lot to me.”
“We are always happy to help,” Phia said with a wide smile bringing you into a hug.
You smiled returning her hug, laughing as Lottie hugged your legs. The House of the Dragon cast was like a second family and you were glad they were able to help you make Ewan’s birthday special.
“They’re coming!” Fabien called turning to you with a wide smile.
You looked over as the door opened, Tom and Ewan in their Aegon and Aemond get up respectively. A bright smile came on your lips when Ewan’s blue eyes connected with yours.
“What are you doing here, Y/N?” Ewan asked, clearly shocked.
“Did you really think you could celebrate your birthday without your girlfriend and daughter?” You teased and laughed as he hugged you tight.
“Happy birthday, daddy!” Lottie exclaimed and squealed when he picked her up.
You smiled as you watched Ewan sit at the special throne you made for him. Although his character wanted to be king and couldn’t, this was the second best option being the birthday king. You took pictures of him with Lottie in his lap, the little girl just excited to be with her daddy again.
“That’s payback for the Viserys Funko,” Tom stated seeing Ewan open the present from him which was a Daemon Targaryen Funko.
Ewan chuckled a bit as he looked at it. “Well, Daemon is my favorite character so I’ll still cherish this,” He said with a wide smile.
You tilted your head and looked down at your hands with a soft smile. “There’s one more present,” You spoke up when he opened everything.
You bit your lip gently as you handed over a pink envelope before pulling out your phone to record his reaction. Ewan slowly opened it before furrowing his brows as he pulled out the pictures. You laughed a bit seeing the tears forming in his eyes.
“We’re going to have another kid?” He asked looking up at you.
You laughed and nodded with a small smile. It was the first pictures of your second baby. You were finding a good time to tell him and the perfect way was to tell him on his birthday. You smiled wide as he stood up and kissed you suddenly on the lips as everyone cheered around you.
You smiled lightly against his lips, placing a hand on his cheek. “Happy Birthday, Ewan,” You whispered kissing him once more before hugging him tight.

hey guys. I need to tell you a story about my bizarre life
i'm around 11. me, my parents, and three friends are crammed in a car on the way back from seeing the eclipse (we had to drive out of state for it to be visible). on this trip our car broke down three times, we almost burned down our hotel room during an impromptu birthday party while we were stranded, and lots more. but most traumatizing was the small water/mystery cd day.
we're in the line at mcdonalds. my mom is exhausted from hours of driving with three children in the back seat and is trying to order a happy meal with a water for the drink. simple, right? not in this stranger avatar ass car. my mom went back and forth with the mcdonalds server, who tried to tell us we could not get a small water, and it had to be a medium or large if we wanted it with the happy meal. otherwise we had to order it separately (something like that). my mom was so delirious she ended up breaking down in tears at the drive thru window until the employee just charged us for a small water.
so that was its own whole thing. we're all split between laughing and crying, thinking about how fucking weird that exchange was. anyway, we drive up, get all of our food, and the tension is so high in the car, so we need something to calm us down.
my (then) step-dad remembers that we found something in this rental car when we got it: an unlabeled CD. i mean, it had some guys name on it, but that was it. we, thinking it would be someone's underground music project, thought it might be fun to listen to. we pop it in. friend #1 has her small water in hand. we're reversing out of our spot in the mcdonalds parking lot. the audio starts.
what followed was the sounds of frantic movement, a baby crying, and someones haggard breathing. from the speaker, a child cries: "mommy won't wake up, what's wrong with mommy?" more crying, more shuffling, more confused wailing. this went on for a full 20-25 seconds before we stopped the track.
silence in the car. what the fuck was that.
that shit was haunted. im pretty sure it caused my mom's breakdown and the future car issues. all of my struggles since then have been the result of the evil spell that shit cast on us as a family
