Terry Ek of Illinois is bringing this In-Violet 1971 Plymouth Barracuda for our MCACN High School Reunion Invitational. She saved money from part time work during her high school years to buy her first car. She bought her 1971 Barracuda when she was 18 in January 1972. It was a dealer service loaner at Cicero Chrysler Plymouth near Chicago. It had about 7000 miles on the clock when purchased for $3000.00 out the door! The Barracuda was In-Violet, V-8, power steering, and she felt it fit her perfectly. She had gotten a job in downtown Chicago, and needed small & reliable but wanted distinctive. Her friends were critical, they thought she should buy a Honda. The car delivered trouble free, reliable service for many years. From 1972 to 1977 it was driven daily and parked on a side street in a less than perfect area of Chicago. It survived unscathed! (and un-rusted). Eventually Terry married Elliot and other priorities arose- It got stored away until Terry and Elliot could afford to give it a facelift and voila- It will re-appear at the 2024 MCACN High School Reunion!

• ───━━━━─ ● ─━━━━─── •
In a matter of five days, Tyler had learned a lot about that (Y/N) (Y/L/N). The file he had asked for had been delivered with not less than sixteen pages and a pen drive. There, the intelligence people had gathered everything they could find on social media and informations passed to them by the family. With that intel, he was supposed to know her even before he actually did.
He found out that (Y/N) had been born in Chicago, on the 4th of July. The bloody fireworks of independence day were blowing up in the sky while her mother finally gave birth after a 13 hours labour. Through all her childhood, she went to private schools and had the best education a kid could possibly have. She graduated high school with excellent grades and went strictly to the University of Illinois at Chicago, to study History.
She loved coffee and was fascinated by ancient artefacts and events. Her favorite movie was Star Wars. She was a great fan of Queen and even had a Freddie Mercury poster at her beedrom back in Chicago. Books were a passion of hers, she had read over forty at the age of 18, when other teens would probably be causing trouble around and getting themselves into the life of alcohol and sex. But that didn't mean that that girl didn't knew how to party as well.
She frequently attended to parties, drank just enough to the alcohol in her system to make her happier and would dance through the night with her friends. Tyler saw some pictures and a video and in all of them, that girl seemed to have no worries at all. She smiled, laughed, passed her hands through her hair and closed her eyes to feel the beat of the music that was ringing in her ears. The thought that she might never smile like that again after what was happening, kinda disturbed him.
It took some watching through surveillance cameras, intel and study of some rotes of the city, but the team Nik had putted up together called a meeting with everyone who was out after exactly a week since they had first gotten there. They had found (Y/N)’s location.
She was being kept at a incredibly large house for Guadalajara's standards. That part of the city was one of the richest and yet, that place stood out.
With it's enormous extension, the odd distance from every other building in a raid of three miles, metal huge gates and the two heavily armed men guarding the way in, it pretty much seemed like a fortress. A place where important people would probably hide in troubled times. Although in that moment, it was being used by a total different goal.
Such goal placed Tyler just where he was, on the inside of an old '75 Chevrolet, driving smoothly and calmly while heading to the adress he had watched for a day and a half from the woods near by. He had gone there with questions, and came back with it's answers. How many men? At least twelve, plus the two at the gates. Who went in? Not a single soul. Who went out? Two men in a black SUV. Probably the driver in the front and the big boss, whomever that was, in the back. He didn't get a clear visual on any of them to get facial recognition. Which pretty much, pissed him off.
Tyler had gotten into his head that he wanted to figure out who was behind that shit. Who wanted to shut down the Border Control Project and had gone far enough as to kidnapp the daughter of the Senator. Nik had been right before, when she said that a lot of people could have done it. Dealers, traffickers, corrupted politicians, dirty cops. A bunch of them could go down with that project's approval. Whomever it was, the odds weren't good for (Y/N). But well, that's where he came in. To improve those odds. To fucking rescue her and get his money.
When Tyler made a turn to the left and the house he was going to invade showed up in his sight, he took a deep breath and instantly began to slow down the Chevrolet, making the velocimeter drop quickly, until he stopped right in front of the metal gates.
"¿Qué estás haciendo?" the smaller of the two men guarding the gates was quick to approach the car with his ACR firmly between his hands, a stern expression on his face.
What are you doing. Tyler putted on his face the best surprised and scared look he could, while taking his hands out of the wheel and then raising his hands in the air. He kept his bright eyes locked on the gun the man caried, trying to make him see the fake fear he was showing.
“Salga del coche, cabrón!” again the smaller of the guards spoke up, just as Tyler reached for the window of the car that was closed. The fact for itself seemed to piss the guard off, because now from up close Tyler could see that his knuckles were white from gripping the ACR too tightly. “Vamos, vamos!”
“No habló español! No hablo español!” Tyler placed as much accent as he could on those words, eyes still on the other's gun. Get out of the car, of course he understood. But oh, he wasn't going to do that. Not before the other guard came closer as well.
“Step out of the car” translated the taller man, doing exactly as Tyler predicted, taking a few steps towards the Chevrolet.
Tyler nodded, keeping the frightened expression in his face. Slowly he opened the door and got out of the car, stepping in front of the two men with as much causality as he could with his hands in the air again. The smaller one kicked the door of the car closed and held his gun straight to Tyler’s face, as the taller one came even closer and analyzed Tyler up and down with a uninterested look.
“Who are you? What are you doing here?” the taller guard asked, calm but yet, as dangerous as the other one. He had his hands on his gun, but just for protocol. His grip wasn’t that tight in the metal beneath his fingers. His mistake, Tyler thought to himself.
“My name is Jeffrey, I’m a tourist” Tyler said with the best worried voice he had, keeping his eyes locked on the one who could speak english. “I lost my turn on the road and don’t know how to get back to the city. Please, I just stopped for information”
The taller man squeezed his brown eyes, thinking about his words. Deciding if he should believe him or not. After minutes that seemed like hours, he bought the story and nodded for the other to lower his weapon. His second and last mistake.
Tyler acted like a lightning. Too quick. He elbowed the smaller one that was closer, kicked him in the legs and made him fall, hitting his head on the ground. Just before the taller one could grip his weapon firmly enough to shoot, Tyler grabbed it and took it out of his hands after throwing him a punch. Two shots, the taller one was gone. He turned around to shot at the smaller one and was surprised to see that he had already gotten up and charged forward, aiming the gun to his face again. Tyler pulled the trigger four times. The blood wet the ground and he was alone.
“The front gate is clear” he said, after pressing the wire in his right ear so that the team could hear him clearly. Leaning down, he inspected the smaller one’s pockets and after finding nothing, went to the other dead man and found the keys to open the gate in his back left pocket. The keys he had seen they use while he was on watch.
“Well done, Jeffrey” Nik’s voice seemed to come from inside his own head, like she was his consciousness. As he smirked for a moment for the childish thought, he couldn’t deny, that would be a good thing for him. To be rid of his bloody consciousness, if he had one at all.
“I’m going in” he twisted the keys on the gate and heard the lock click, opening.
Instead of entering though, he stepped to the side and leaned against the big walls. As he expected, the men from inside had heard the gunshots and went to the gates. Now, they were stepping outside slowly, with their guns held high and strongly.
Tyler took a deep breath. Feeling excitement run through his whole body in the form of pure adrenaline, he started to pull the trigger over and over again.
• ───━━━━─ ● ─━━━━─── •
You woke up to the sound of gunshots. Endless gunshots. They scared you and ringed in your ears as if they were coming from millimeters away. You thought if some of the men had began a fight between themselves. You had heard some of them arguing before, but they never got violent. Until now, anyway.
The idea that they could be distracted occurred to you and you found yourself realizing that that would be the best moment for you to escape. To try and get out of there without being noticed. Even the man that guarded your door, Juan, as you had heard other call him, was gone. Probably to inspect the origin of the firing.
Pulling against the restrains with enough force to scratch your skin you tried desperately to be free, not allowing yourself to make a single sound behind the gag. Oh no, you wanted them to continue forgetting that you were there and that you were now alone.
The gunshots stopped after so much time that now the sudden silence felt weird. The quiet made you panic, because you were very aware that your chance to escape was slipping away from you. Your only chance.
You started to scream from frustration behind the gag, crying and pulling so much that your arms ached and hurt as if they were being cut open. The door then was kicked open and that was when you really started to scream.
That man, you had never seen around the house you had been taken to. He was really tall, blond. Wore a blue shirt that had the same color of his eyes and old jeans. He was covered in blood. So much blood. In his face, arms, boots. Blood everywhere. The sight made you sick with fear. Was he the one sent to finally kill you? The moment he pulled out a knife from his waist, you got the confirmation you needed.
The tears wet your face and you made one last, useless attempt on the restrains. He got closer to the mattress, towering over you like a fucking building. You closed your eyes and took one last deep breath, finally accepting your fate as he kneeled on the floor beside you.
And then the restrains were gone.
Opening your eyes, you felt his rough hands touching your skin as he took the ropes completely out of your arms and then reached for your gag. Instantly, you kicked him in the legs making him fall on his side.
You ran out of the room, your hand flying to your own mouth and taking the gag out. You tossed it aside and forced your legs to work as without any orientation you tried to find your way out of that place. You ran as fast as you could, but you only made it to two corridors until you found yourself falling to the ground with a heavy weight upon your body. That man’s body.
You screamed and kicked, pushed and punched. Freedom was so close. You just had to…
“Stop fighting!” the man spoke for the first time, turning your body towards his and grabbing your hands when you tried to punch him in the face. He pressed your wrists with an iron grip to the ground. You continued trying to kick him, and that made his grip get harder. “Listen to me, (Y/N)! I’m here to save you!”
That made you go still. Frozen in place. None of the men there before had used your name. Never. You had the feeling that they didn’t even knew who you were. They were just tools, used to keep you under control under the command of someone much more important.
You stared into the man’s eyes, analyzed his expression. It was serious, dangerous. Some of the blood from his face fell on yours as you just stared at him and thought of the odds of him being actually telling the truth.
“If what you say is true then get the fuck away from me” you growled at him, every word hurting your throat as you spoke again after so much time in silence.
“Will you run if I let you go?” he asked fiercely, staring deeply into your eyes with such intensity that it made you nervous. Only when you denied with your head, he complied to your demand and released you, getting to his feet.
You got up slowly, without taking your eyes out of his for even a moment as you did. Your eyes went down to the knife that was back at his waist. You swallowed dry and tried to run again, but he seemed to have predicted that for the way he grabbed your forearm before you could get even a few steps away.
“Listen to me!” he grabbed both of your arms and shoved your much smaller body into the nearest wall. “Your father hired me! The Senator! I’m here to get you to safety but I cannot do that if you keep trying to run from me!"
“And I am just supposed to believe you?” you looked up at his face, the dry tears on your face now were mixed with blood you had gotten from him. “How can I believe you?”
“Your name is (Y/N) (Y/L/N)!” he said firmly, his grip still firm. “Your mother is Eleanor and your father is Charles (Y/L/N)! You love coffee, you were born in Chicago! Your best friend’s name is Maggie! Your favorite movie is Star Wars and you study History at college! Your first cat was named Thomas, he died two years ago!”
You just stared at him in complete shock. It was true. Everything he had just said about you. He new everything. Stuff no one could know unless they had spoken to your family. He was telling the truth.
“Y-you’re telling the truth” you said in a weak tone, trying to wrap your mind around the fact. After such time being a prisoner, you couldn’t believe it.
“I am” he seemed calmer now that he could see you believed him, but his eyes were still dangerous. Still completely alert. “Now let’s go. We have to get out of here before whomever kidnapped you notices what I did and sends reinforcements”

A L L I S O N C L O V E R S A N D R A C A R R O L L . twenty-two teamaker. chicago, il. psychedelics/coke dealer. tramp. dropped angel.
cw: maternal death, sexual coercion, frequent drug mentions.
“SANDY CARROLL” --- formerly known as allison clover --- grew up in the underbelly of chicago, raised by a fatally over-protective single mother, who tried to shield her daughter from the grit and grime that covered every square inch of their community.
as a child, allison was kept busy at all costs, distracted by a wallpapering of catholicism from the influence of her peers and the sordid history of her family. she was brought up in the church; she socialized primarily within the church’s community, she played on the church’s softball team, she participated in the church’s charity events and she helped organize the church’s fundraisers.
the clovers ran an online business selling homemade incense, candles, and teabags from herbs and spices grown right in their apartment. it was just enough to help keep the lights on when her mother’s job at the plant nursery couldn’t cut it. this is to say: a young, naive allison wouldn’t have much in realm of inheritance when she would need it.
shortly after ally’s 18th birthday, her mother was killed in an assault.
gang initiation. body mutilated. her teenage daughter had to identify the corpse.
the tragedy shattered allison’s eden. she woke up to the nihilistic nature of the world, in which good people can die with no rhyme or reason. it showed her the true nature of the modern christian and their shortcomings in practicing what they preach. in the wake of ms. clover, the church community offered allison their prayers and platitudes, but no one in their impoverished community had a dime to spare or room on their couches when allison needed a place to stay. every bystander assumed someone else would step up to take care of her.
emotionally distraught and disappointed in her paper thin support system, ally stopped sticking around after mass and isolated herself from the community, eventually opting not to attend altogether.
the scraps of wealth she had left after paying for a catholic funeral would not help her afford the rent. her underwhelming resume would not be enough to get her a job to support herself. with too much grief to handle working two minimum-wage gigs--- with her mother deeply estranged from the rest of their family--- with her long history of being isolated from her neighbors--- she had nowhere to turn when she was evicted.
her naivete and lack of options paved allison’s way to falling in with a bad crowd. her first night at a local shelter, she was recognized outside by a shaggy boy from her graduating class. immediately trusting, she opened up to him about her situation and vulnerability, and he was all too quick to offer her a place to stay until she got back on her feet. she never stopped to question his character or intentions.
she was fast to fall in with the boy and his band of delinquents, which she would later understand to be a gang deeply involved in several webs of drug trafficking in the city. her sheltered upbringing left her unprepared to notice red flags, and her gullibility made it easy for the kids to take advantage of her on the grounds of offering her bedrooms to stay in and spotting her meals in her hard time. when offerings of basic human necessities turned into talking her into smoking with them and bringing her along to parties, it wasn’t hard for them to pressure her into using her inexperienced body to show appreciation for their hospitality.
catholic guilt went head-to-head with disillusioned catholic angst, both raging inside her head with feelings of physical violation she didn’t have the wisdom to identify. in the midst of the chaos, she developed a taste for the escapism. she preferred to live in the haze of inebriation and work out her conflicts of spirituality with mushrooms rather than face her situation or her grief. but she didn’t realize she was running up a tab with her friends.
from a peer’s perspective, she picked up on their culture fast. learned the slang and the technique. gave off the impression of someone who knew what she was getting into when they started sending her to drop off and pick up at college campuses, and when she was smoking herself into debts she’d never be able to repay.
after ignoring the scarier and grittier aspects of the new friends she’d made for a year, and then upsetting them when she started avoiding sex— depriving her friends of their payment— things came to a head after a traumatic trip on DMT, a vision of her disappointed mother sent her into a serious crisis of faith and a fear that her sins were becoming unforgivable, which prompted her choice to branch out to people other than the dealers she was wasting her youth with.
when the ghouls started getting insulted by her pulling away, one of her lovers let her know that she still owed them for all that they had provided for her, and when she stood her ground and put a lock on what they wanted, he told her she owed them at least $4,000 for their troubles before they would let her scurry away.
in a cold sweat for finding that kind of money in the near future and feeling a serious threat to her safety at the mercy of a gang, she opted instead to commit one last sin in the form of stealing a suitcase and backpack of drugs from the trap house and taking a bus as far out of illinois as she could go.
she started going by the new name SANDRA CARROLL, and planned to keep moving and sell the stash of psychedelics to keep her afloat until she could start using her legal name again and get a law-abiding job. she tried to go to hipster bars and college parties, looking for less dangerous people to pick her up as a sugar baby and give her a couch to sleep on until she was far enough and emotionally stable enough to take care of herself.
the panic attacks and paranoia made it hard for her to nail a trustworthy hookup, but she found a way to survive by couch surfing at a state university in kentucky. the low threat level and high libido of clients on a college campus makes it easier for sandra to deal, especially to inexperienced freshmen who were too insecure about playing it cool to ask questions when she hiked up her selling prices. it was a perfect environment hustle free food and beds to sleep in, and she could have stayed afloat there for long enough to let her trail run cold, find a new social circle, and eventually even heal.
that is, until she spotted one of the gang members looking for her at a party.
sandy wound up packing up her things that night to flee to a remote place she’d heard about, in the countryside of north carolina, serene and inexpensive, far away from signals or surveillance, in a quaint little camp town called wrenbury.
(( TL;DR: sheltered church girl is ill-prepared and too naive to survive on her own when her mother dies unexpectedly; she falls in with a gang and loses control of her expenses and her body; steals an enormous stash of cocaine and psychedelic drugs and flees chicago, going by a false name and dealing to stay just barely afloat. spent the last year dorm-surfing on a college campus before coming to wrenbury. lives in fear of her ex and his gang who are still looking for her. haunted by the specter of her mother, imagining she is devastated to see how far her harlot daughter has fallen from grace. ))
> PERSONALITY / FAST FACTS.
pleasant. gentle. hazy. airy. strange. erratic. passive. flighty. compassionate, but unreliable.
the usual refrain you’ll hear is, “SHE’S NOT ‘ALL THERE.’” sandra mostly comes across as dreamy or dazed out. you might assume that extreme levels of stress and substance abuse have fried her brain, and she might agree with you, but don’t be so sure. there is a part of her that prefers to buy into that story and assure herself that she’s too disconnected with reality to process it. and she’s willing to stay as high as a hot air balloon to make it convincing.
she zones in and out during conversation, absent-mindedly wanders into places she shouldn’t be while lost in thought, and tends to lose track of time or forget important things, like curfews or notices of restricted areas. she has a mind that can muse a mile a minute, and she tries to keep it busy with innocuous thought tangents about what type of flower a person would be, rather than focusing to what the person tells her about the latest murder, for fear of ruining her vibes and falling into a panicked spiral.
she grows flowers, spices, and herbal plants all over her cabin, taking advantage of the rustic life to relive her childhood of making homemade teas and incense. she has yet to ask if marnie and regina mind all of the aromas and dirt she brings into their common area.
she views sex as something that’s casually transactional. might get confused or even suspicious if you do her a favor without accepting a lay in return.
wrenbury and its glitching borders have fanned the flame of her lack of faith in her own sanity, and made her unsure of what to believe with regards to the killers. she tries to take the word of the townspeople over her fellow campers.
the kind of person who you might see sway-dancing like a twin peaks character, stopping in her tracks to stare at a caterpillar on a tree trunk, sticking her hand out of a moving car’s window and surfing it in the breeze, or praying only when she thinks no one’s looking---and if you look close, you might catch a tear streaming down her face while she does so.
she still has a trace of purity to her that most people don’t pick up on until they outright find out about her religious upbringing. she comes off as an eccentric wallflower sitting in a circle with the stoners at a party; not unfriendly, but not the person to start the conversation; doesn’t instigate the orgy but she certainly keeps up. innocent but not inexperienced. very good at maintaining lucidity just long enough to escape any witnesses when she’s having a bad trip.
some sandy carroll pinterest boards created by myself and my friends: (i), (ii), (iii), (iv).
> WANTED CONNECTIONS.
friends, especially people with easygoing personalities. someone who can make her feel comfortable enough to have more sober conversations. people who buy from her (she’s currently carrying cocaine, ecstasy, and acid). enemies (could be on the grounds of sandy being twee, inconsiderate, or a liability). a disinterested person for her to have a crush on even though they wouldn’t notice if she was hacked up by one of the killers. a kinder person with a crush on her that she’ll never pick up on.
hookups~ sandy is pansexual and doesn’t realize that she’s been traumatized by years of sexual coercion, so she consents to a lot of bad ideas, and is still conditioned into the mindset that it’s something you use to pay gratitude to people for being nice to you.
someone she met from the college she was squatting at, especially if they’re a hippie who brought up wrenbury when they were having a stoned dorm room conversation about wanting to move off the grid.
someone, either from or hired by the gang, who was sent to track her down and collect her debt and is now trapped in wrenbury with her 👀 :GRIM_REAPER_EMOJI:

DION DEMPSEY. greaser; twenty-five. jordan calloway. TAKEN.
and, as dwayne once said:
“You missed, sucker!”
BEFORE THE PARTY;
In a town like Rosewood where people’s dirty laundry was passed around like the morning newspaper, Dion Dempsey was one of the few who managed to keep his business out of people’s mouths. Occasionally it came down to brute force and intimidation, but for the most part it was simply because he did what others seemed incapable of and kept to himself. Marlo and Polo talked enough for all of them anyway.
There were only two things most people know about Dion: his motorbike was his baby, and he worked as a bouncer at Coyote Ugly, which conveniently meant he could simultaneously work as a dealer as well, though both jobs barely scraped up enough cash to cover the rent in the tiny apartment he had been left in after his father’s arrest a few years prior. Surviving was hard enough, then SoWood’s impact drove the cost of living in the area through the roof. From the moment the project broke ground he'd never stood a chance.
Evicted and essentially orphaned, Dion felt forgotten by the world, by the gang that was supposed to be his family. If Ace hadn’t stepped up and offered up his own home, Dion didn’t know what he’d have done to survive the winter.
Accepting help was probably the most difficult thing for him to come to terms with. Ace wasn’t the kind of guy that dished out charity though, he took his obligations as a member of the gang seriously, and in turn Dion owed him his allegiance. It was that simple. Even if he’d ended up crammed into a shoebox of a house with three other guys and a storm in a teacup, the roof over his head was more than anyone else had offered him. That they’d been friends before didn’t matter, not when so many of the people they’d all called friends had already left them to choke on their dust. They ran on loyalty alone. Show it, and get it in return.
It didn’t take long for word about the destruction of the South Side to find its way back to his father, or someone who knew something about the man— he assumed, because he sure as hell wasn’t going to willingly walk into a prison to ask the man himself. The note slipped into his pocket while he was distracted and dealing with rowdy frat boys trying to climb the bar at Coyote Ugly gave no instructions, just a name: Bunny Chadwell.
Rumors were rampant in Rosewood, and despite his general disconnect from society, being a bouncer at the bar meant his presence went unnoticed on the outskirts most of the time. More than once he’d heard a few entertaining local legends, stuff like some nerd losing his virginity to an apple pie, those weird PA kids trying to take each other out to get a part in a musical, and the one that mattered most to him now: that Bunny Chadwell had never been a Chadwell at all.
It made sense if he thought about it, but what in the hell was his dad doing knocking up a Chadwell’s wife? And why hadn’t he cashed in on it sooner? Dion had been living in near poverty his entire life, while he presumably had a sister at the very top of the food chain with the (now former) Governor of Illinois for a father who would have paid anything to keep a secret like that quiet?
Now, he had to decide what to do with the information. He’d never crawl to a richie for a handout, but family was family, right? Or, if Ace’s influence had anything to do with it, he could blackmail them until he was swimming in enough cash to set himself up for life.
DURING THE PARTY;
When Ace had finally given the go ahead for them to hand out the ass kicking Sodapop had earned himself, Dion couldn't have been happier to oblige. Sure, he was following orders because he basically owed Ace his life, but he agreed with the punishment as well. Too many greasers had gone soft, had sold out and turned tail as soon as they'd had the chance. Only Two-Bit still held some clout in his opinion, despite him snitching on his old man. At least the guy wasn't afraid of a fight, and was proud of where he'd come from.
Like the rest of the boys he'd taken his turns making sure Scott remembered what he'd signed up for when he'd come running to the gang with his chest puffed out and all those rebellious ideals fluttering around in his head. If it had been one on one the middle Cruz would have stood a chance, the guy could fight better than most of them, which was exactly why the four of them were on him. By the time they were done he was a mess, yet Ace still had to put the cherry on top. It all seemed too flamboyant to Dion, but that was Ace's way so as long as it stayed directed at anyone that wasn't him, he had nothing to say about it.
If he'd had his way they would have at least dropped Scott closer to the hospital - they were only sending a message, not trying to have him freeze to death in a snowdrift - but none of them had a car and the snow had been too treacherous for their bikes, so they didn't have much of a choice but to leave him to find his own way home.
Dion had more important things to worry about anyway, like how he was going to manage to ditch the rest of the guys and find his maybe-sister. If Ace knew what he was up to he'd be labelled a traitor like the rest of them, no questions asked, even if he wasn't looking for a way out, just some answers. If he could help it, he was trying to avoid being laid up in the emergency room next to Scott.
Being of the social status Bunny was, it was near impossible for him to get close to her on a normal day, so a public event felt like the best chance to at least try to get an idea of how she'd respond to his claim. If she was as much of a dragon as people said she was, he wasn't above blackmail, but he wasn't as short-fused as Ace. Violence and intimidation was an answer, but not always the answer. Especially when it came to people who could have his ass thrown into jail to rot with a snap of their fingers. Hopefully things wouldn't go that far though. Hopefully he'd get his foot in the door and somehow find a way to use their shared blood for the good of the gang.
alternate faceclaims and prompts.

♚ALP.YAVUZ
“ Them boys don’t think about the wrath that’s about to set down on ‘em. .“
✚ AGE & DOB: Twenty-eight & November 13th, 1990 ✚ OCCUPATION: Private Investigator ✚ AFFILIATION: Unaffiliated
♛THE HISTORY♛
If we don’t have each other, what else is left?
It was Dede’s favorite saying: how he’d reassured Harika when she ran away at age seventeen and came back pregnant and sobbing and alone, fearing her father wouldn’t take her in; what he’d said when they were evicted from their little apartment and all three of them, grandfather, young mother and five-year-old boy, had to share a single room for a while; what he’d told Alp when they finally finished the Mustang—the car was beautiful, yes, and they should be proud, but their family was still the most important thing of all.
And Alp took it to heart. He was fifteen when Dede died and their family narrowed to two, but two was enough. His mom was everything to him, and he was everything to her, both of them fighting to keep afloat in a world that seemed determined to turn against them. But if they had each other, they’d be fine. Alp was sure of it.
Harika’d just turned eighteen when she had him, just a kid herself, but to Alp she was perfect—never too busy to read or play games or sing to him, her voice mellowed by the cigarettes she was so careful not to smoke near her little boy. And when he got older, she made sure to take the early shift at the drugstore so she could come to his games—all his games, baseball and basketball too, even though they both knew football would be the key. With a football scholarship, he’d be able to go to college, something she’d never been able to do—she never said it was because of her pregnancy—and make something of himself, and become something better than a mechanic like Dede, or a cashier like her. And he’d told her that there was nobody better than her or his grandfather—but he worked as hard as he could, kept his grades up, got more game time and finally the starting quarterback position, and then, finally, after years of Harika’s dreaming and Alp’s blood and sweat, he got a full ride to Illinois State University.
And for a while, things were perfect.
They still didn’t have a lot, but with Harika’s work at the drugstore and Alp’s part-time jobs they were able to get by, and in just a few years he’d have a criminal justice degree and could be a policeman or detective or even eventually (Harika said, and Alp laughed) an FBI agent. She told him how proud she’d be to know he was out there as “one of the good guys,” helping to make the world a better place; he told her to start picking out paint colors, because as soon as he got a job he was moving her to a better neighborhood, one without bars on the windows or bums on each corner. And she’d laughed and kissed his forehead and said that that sounded awfully nice, but all she really needed was to have him come home safe each day. Because if they didn’t have each other, what else was left?
And then, out of nowhere, she had lung cancer.
Alp was 20, almost done with his sophomore year at Illinois State, and when the phone call came he left school and never went back. How could his mother have cancer? How could it be so advanced? Sure, she smoked, she’d been smoking his whole life, but that was the only bad thing she had ever done! And she wasn’t even forty yet! And damn it, he needed her!
He joined the Marines the next day.
Harika cried when he told her—Dede had been to Vietnam, and although he’d never wanted to talk about it, she knew it’d been terrible. He’d lost his brother there, and his best friend had taken his own life, and what if that happens to you, Alp?! How can I live if something happens to you?!
He couldn’t guarantee anything, but he’d promised it wouldn’t—that he’d train so hard, even harder than for football, that nothing and no one would be able to hurt him. And anyway, he’d said, the important thing was, he’d be sending money home for treatments they couldn’t afford otherwise. And if we don’t have each other, what else is left?
So he left for basic training, and he worked as hard as he’d promised, and no matter how tired or sore or angry he was, he pushed on. Harika was his secret weapon, the thought of her giving him enough motivation to finish the endless and seemingly-impossible drills, the picture of her in the barracks enough to make him first out the door every morning. And then his superiors asked if he wanted to transfer to SEAL training—and they told him how hard it would be, but they also told him how much more he’d be paid, and he didn’t think twice before saying yes.
He spent the next year pretty sure he was a step away from dying. But no matter how he felt, shivering in the ocean or covered in wet sand or paddling boats until his arms were numb or nearly-drowning as he worked knots loose, he knew his mom was feeling worse. She was sick, and she needed help, and he’d help her no matter what. I love California, he wrote the day after Hell Week, when it hurt to even pick up the pen. He’d slept four hours in five days. Training’s going great. I can’t wait to see you.
She told him things were going well for her, too; that the doctors were optimistic, that she was feeling a little better, that she loved him and missed him. And knowing she was okay, that he was helping keep her alive, was enough to get him through anything.
And then, just after he’d come back from Kodiak, with four weeks left in SQT and all set to get his trident, Alp got called out of mess hall to take a phone call.
Harika was dead. And the doctors told him she hadn’t had chemo in months—that they’d told her it wasn’t working, and she’d found her own way of dealing with the pain. And she hadn’t told him about it. She’d died alone.
What else is left?
He still doesn’t know where he went after that, only that someone yelled after him as he ran, and then later, in the middle of the night, he was in the desert with a car he didn’t recognize. Stolen, the judge said later on, from some old lady at a gas station. The lady was there in the courtroom, but it was like Alp had never seen her before. There’s a lot about the next few weeks he doesn’t remember, just running around the West with nowhere to run to, nowhere to go, nothing to lose. –Or so he’d thought. Because losing his mom hadn’t been enough—when he finally wandered back to Coronado and tried to explain, they’d refused to listen. You think you can just leave a mission?! Warrant Officer Alvarez had shouted. Before, Alvarez had hinted about recommending him for the SEAL team he’d served with. You think we’ll succeed out there if we can’t even count on our own team?!
And they were right—Alp knew they were right—but these were guys he’d spent a year with, been through hell with, and couldn’t they understand? They all knew he’d enlisted to help his mom. They all knew she was sick.
But his friends turned their backs when he collected his things, and the court branded him with a dishonorable discharge, and he had nothing left.
And Chicago wouldn’t give him anything, either. No one would hire him—not even the auto shop where Dede’d worked, where they’d known Alp since he was a baby—and the landlords wouldn’t let him reapply for the lease, and their apartment was full of drug paraphernalia he didn’t recognize and couldn’t stand seeing. Why hadn’t she told him?! Why had she done this to herself?!
And then, he had one thing: the need for revenge.
He’d gone into the bank bent on finding out what she’d done with the money, whether she’d left any trail to her dealer, but to his complete surprise he walked out with a job offer. And he couldn’t say no. He had a place to live, work he could handle, maybe—impossibly—a friend. So if The Money asked him to overlook certain things, well, Alp would do it. It was none of his concern. And if his boss asked him to investigate people—well, he’d put in a year for the SEALS. He might as well use the training.
But that wasn’t the only thing he looked into. He kept his ear to the ground, always looking for signs that’d point him toward his mother’s killer (and in his mind, there was no other way of looking at it. They must have gotten her hooked). The only clues he had were the strange drugs they’d found traces of—something more than what anyone could buy from petty dealers. But although he burned for revenge, the SEALS had given him patience: Don’t run to your death. And so he kept on the hunt, tracking down every rumor and possibility, until they finally started to come together.
And in the meantime, he keeps busy untangling the web of mobsters that want The Money’s support. Some seem half-promising, others dangerous—and the more he finds out, the more it looks like The Money’s involved in crime, too. But they were the only person willing to give him a chance when his world looked the darkest, and that’s a debt he’ll never take lightly. They didn’t question him, so he won’t question them—but he’s sure as hell not going to let anything happen to them.
And anyway, backing out would lose him the one supporter he has…and if we don’t have each other, what else is left?

Illinois No-zone Truck Injury Lawyers
When a commercial truck is involved in a blind spot accident, it is often referred to as a no-zone accident. The size and the design of a large tractor trailer or commercial truck often impair the driver's ability to view vehicles traveling around it resulting in a serious accident. AsWichita KS truck accident lawyers, we handle many types of automobile and motor vehicle accidents that can cause many types of injuries, including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries, fractures and burns. Many of the motor vehicle accident cases we handle include:
● Head on collision
● Rear end crash
● SUV rollover accidents
● T-bone accidents and side impact collisions
● Chain reaction accidents and Vehicle pile-ups
● Underinsured or uninsured driver accidents
● Blind spot collisions
● Trucking accidents
● Motorcycle crashes
● Fatal car accidents
● Drunk driving accidents
● Pedestrian accidents
● Recreational vehicle accidents
● Highway collisions and accidents
An experienced Wichita truck crash attorney should be consulted when you are involved in a no-zone truck accident. Determining who is at-fault for a no-zone accident can be a complicated question and is determined by the facts and circumstances of each case. The driver of small passenger vehicles like an SUV, cars and motorcycles must be aware of truck no-zones. These drivers may respect and pay attention to them. All drivers on the road bear responsibility for being aware of dangers they may encounter. Truck drivers, who must go through professional training, must also be educated about blind spots in their vision. They have to take precautions to make sure that the risks involved with these blind spots are reduced. The issue of blind spots is often brought upon during lawsuits and argued about when assessing each person and their responsibility for an accident.
It is vitally important to begin investigating a no-zone accident. An experienced Wichita KSinjury lawyer will take steps to preserve evidence that could be necessary to prove your case. Finding interviewing eyewitnesses to an accident can sometimes make or break your case. Red-light cameras installed to cities and villages can help to obtain photos or video of an accident. In today's technology, most tractor-trailers are equipped with black boxes. These boxes can provide scores of information that can be important to the case. Many black boxes will identify the location of the truck, speed of the truck at various times, including time of impact and other information that can benefit your case. Many times, a lawsuit must be filed and a protective order entered by a court must be put in place to ensure that the data on the black box is not destroyed.
Our Wichita KS truck accident firm works with many experts, to help establish the liability in a case. Black box experts are used to extract important data. We also retain accident reconstruction experts where appropriate, to recreate an accident based upon the available evidence. These experts, in serious injury and wrongful death cases, where the expense is warranted, can make all the difference between winning and losing a case. Immediate accident by an experienced Wichita injury lawyer can go a long way toward securing a successful result for an injured victim.
Free Consultation
We offer a free consultation to evaluate your legal case. It will cost you nothing to consult with a lawyer to see if you have a case. It is essential that action be taken promptly to preserve evidence, investigate the accident and/or conduct in question and to file a lawsuit, when necessary prior to a deadline imposed by the statute of limitations.
No Fee Unless We Win Your Case
We give all our personal injury, workers' compensation, wrongful death and medical malpractice clients a promise that if we do not recover monetary damages in your case, we will not charge you an attorney fee. If we take your case, we only get paid if we win your case.
Blind spot warning and cross-traffic alert
By adding radar sensors to your car, you can enjoy two popular safety features. The two that are most commonly bundled together in aftermarket kits are blind spot warning and cross-traffic alert.
If you want to change lanes, the device warns you if a car or truck is in your blind spot. In busy parking lots, even a rear backup camera might not show you a car that’s coming. But cross-traffic systems alert you to when a car’s approaching, even if it’s out of sight. This is another upgrade that might need to be done by an electronics expert.
Bluetooth connectivity
Hands-free use of your mobile phone is an important safety feature and can prevent you from getting a traffic ticket. Some basic units, selling for as little as $25, are basically plug-and-play. Simply connect the device to the auxiliary power outlet (formerly known as a cigarette lighter) or the audio input jack, and you can make and receive phone calls safely through your existing sound system.
Head-up display
Surprisingly inexpensive, and costing less than $100 for some models, a head-up display projects your car’s vital information on a small screen right in front of your eyes. So, instead of glancing down at the gauges, your speed and other information are in your line of sight. Installation is easy — most units plug into the car’s computer connection, under the steering wheel, and a single wire leads to the display unit on the dash.
Dash cam
The aftermarket is flooded with many types of dash cams that provide an array of features. In a basic unit, selling for under $100, a small camera records a looped video on a digital storage card. If you’re in an accident, the event is locked in the memory so you can download it and use it for evidence. More expensive dash cams offer other information such as vehicle surveillance, sending you a notification if someone bumps your car or breaks into it. You can install most units yourself in a few minutes.
Tunes, directions and apps
The head unit in your car is often a touch screen used to access the car’s features and connect with your mobile phone. Swapping out the head unit is best done by a professional, but it can add to your in-car entertainment by allowing access to your favorite apps. Prices range wildly from $50 to $500.
Massaging and heated seats
On long drives, it’s nice to get a massage to stay alert and feel refreshed. And, on cold mornings, heated seats warm you up before your car’s system blows hot. There are many models available for less than $100. All you have to do is put it in place and plug it into your car’s power source.
Shopping tips
Review the product description carefully to make sure it is compatible with your year, make and model of car. This is easier on eBayMotors.com and other sites that allow you to enter your car’s information first, then display compatible products. Be realistic about your installation abilities. If drilling and wiring is required, have the upgrade installed by an electronics expert, a mechanic or the dealer. Search for information about the best products on car forums dedicated to your vehicle. This way, you can contact other owners of your type of car for advice.

Key Features
● Mirror Size
The size of your side mirror will largely affect the size of the blind spot mirror you need. You’ll want a blind spot mirror that is large enough to give you a clear viewing angle, but not so big that it blocks most parts of the side mirror. On the other hand, a small blind spot mirror will not be of much help if you have poor eyesight.
● Material
Most blind spot mirrors are made of plastic since it is an affordable material. However, some manufacturers raise the bar and use aluminum since it is the best material recommended for blind spot mirrors. Aluminum is an expensive material, but it makes the mirror more durable and resistant to rust and corrosion.
Other Considerations
● Shape: Blind spot mirrors are installed at the bottom outer corner of the side view mirror. Keeping that in mind, you should pick a shape that looks natural when placed on your side mirror. Round is a common shape for blind spot mirrors, but others come in oval, rectangular, or square shapes. The shape will not affect the clarity of the view, but it does add to the aesthetics of your side mirror.
● Attachment Method: Blind spot mirrors either come with an adhesive or a suction cup for attachment. Adhesive attachments are the best since they do not come off easily, but the downside is that they cannot be transferred from one car to another. Suction cup attachments are detachable and can be transferred to another car, but they can easily come off the side mirror.
Essential Contraptions Rear View Blind Spot Mirror
Automotive Blind Spot Mirror Extension Installation Service Near Wichita KS: The Essential Contraptions Blind Spot Mirror is our top pick because it is cost-efficient, has high-quality features and is built to last for a long time. The brand offers a four-pack set that is enough for two vehicles or for replacements for broken mirrors. This model is a universal fit and can be installed on motorcycles, trucks, and SUVs. The mirror is made of a rust-resistant aluminum housing and can, therefore, withstand harsh weather.
An aluminum frame enhances the mirror’s stability and sturdiness when installed and protects the mirror from damage. Much like other blind spot mirrors, these have an adhesive attachment that sticks onto the side mirror. A practical design with a 2-inch convex mirror made of real glass lets you have a clear view of blind spots. With real glass, you do not have to worry about the mirror hazing after a few years.
However, the mirrors aren’t adjustable since there is no swiveling adaptor. The mirror stays wherever it is placed, so you’ll have to get it right the first time you install it. The mirror also has a small profile that can be a struggle to see through. The four-mirror set is also impractical unless you have multiple vehicles.
TIPS
Automotive Blind Spot Mirror Extension Installation Service Near Wichita KS:
● Installing a blind spot mirror is not a difficult task. Follow your instructions to install one in your car properly.
● The first thing that you need to make sure that the viewing mirrors are positioned correctly. It should naturally make the blind spot minimized. Before installing the blind spot mirror, it would be best if you clean and dry both the viewing mirror.
● Note that the glasses should be completely dry off before the installation. Now, choose a suitable place for the mirror to install. The best place would be on the upper outside corner of the mirror or bottom outside corner of the stock viewing mirror.
● However, the position varies depending on the vehicles. So, if you have more than one type of vehicle, you need to separately experiment the positions to find an optimal coverage of the blind spot.
● Bear in mind that, you will not get benefit from the passenger viewing mirror even though there is a blind spot mirror. For the driver, it limits the visibility of the reflection. While on the other hand, passenger side view mirrors are convex to provide the blind spot coverage.
● You will find a sticky surface on the back of your blind spot mirror. It will help you to stick it on the side view glass surface. Peel off the paper from the sticky surface and stick it on the glass.
● When you are done, take a towel or a piece of cloth and rub and press the mirror viewing mirror glass. It will tell you whether the mirror is firmly stuck to the glass.
● You do not want to get hit by a car. And if it happens without your notice, the frustration would be even worse. Road accidents may happen where vision paths are intersected.
● Herein, a blind spot mirror can help you to overcome this visionary limitation while you are holding the steering.
● With the help of a blind spot mirror, you can avoid the accidents with passing traffic, pedestrians or even structural elements. You can place the mirror in what position makes you feel more secure.
● There will be a time when you will think about taking hard left or right, but through a blind spot mirror, you will see a car approaching. You will be aware of that situation and change your mind which will prevent you from an accident.

An experienced McAllen TX injury lawyer will take steps to preserve evidence that could be necessary to prove your case. Finding interviewing eyewitnesses to an accident can sometimes make or break your case. Red-light cameras installed to cities and villages can help to obtain photos or video of an accident.
