I’ve started riding my bike to and from work and oh my god… I get it now. I get why bike people seem so prone to evangelizing about their bikes. I want to tell everyone about how much fun I’m having riding my bike. Fuck!!!! I love my bike.

Don’t so much love when I have to ride in the street instead of on the car-free designated bike path though. After having spent so much of my commuting life driving my car, I’m still getting used to the feeling of being decidedly a middle link in the personal transportation food chain.

He found a chair to perch on and he slid the shoes onto his feet. He took his time with the laces, pondering how stupid this suit looked with his purple striped socks. Then he stretched out his legs, watching the way the gold flashed in the store’s gnashing fluorescence.

“I like them,” he said.

“Can you walk in them?” Quinn asked.

Nat hopped up and tried. The thick base of the heels probably helped, as did some miraculous vampiric sense of balance.

Quinn took him by the hand and twirled him around. “You look amazing!”

“Thanks!” Nat said. “I feel weird!”

“No one can tell,” Quinn said. “They’ll be too distracted by how attracted to you they are. You’ll be stealing every heart at the party, I promise you.”

Nat blushed, and this time didn’t bother to turn his face away and hide it. An unfamiliar bubble of laughter rose in his chest.

“I have one last thing to add, but it’s at home,” Quinn said, slinging their arm around him. “You’ll just have to trust me on it. It’ll be perfect.”

“Sure,” Nat said.

“Now you go get changed while I pay for all this,” Quinn said. “Quick, before I fall in love with you.”

Nat went, but not without a little hesitation.

anyways i genuinely and deeply believe that seb is one of the best, well-rounded, most talented racing drivers currently active and i think no matter where he was racing, he'd adapt within less than one season. he's incredibly versatile, everyone who has worked with him praises his quick understanding, intelligence and detailed feedback. he's a genius on track and seizes every opportunity he can and any team across all of motorsport recognizes his talent. so many other drivers know him to be courteous and friendly and so many racing series want to win him (and the fanbase and recognition that comes with him) to drive for them. It's clear that once a team is genuinely happy to have him and listens to him, he's a major force that very few other drivers could come up against.
