Don't get me wrong, I love that capybaras (carpinchos to me) are getting the love and admiration they deserve but I do kinda dislike that they are just considered random cute animals out of context as if they just showed up ex nihilo in Japanese onsens with oranges on their head, when they are native to South America, something that many people seem to forget. Carpinchos should, IMO, be drinking tereré and eating chipá under palm trees on a subtropical sunset, not eating waffles or whatever.

Tricky one for me because I usually purchase cool colored things, but I succeeded in finding a full board of orange! Hope you like it!

Some capybara design ideas for the g7 capybara. Honestly I kinda like the mold of the one Basic Fun made I just wish it was fluffier, and less of an eyesore when it came to colours lol.

Yeah, I know the orange looks huge on the capybara's head, but I only realized it after finishing the drawing lol.

When I have the time and patience, I'll fix that detail in the drawing.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

My first Art vs. Artist, but JoyousJoyfulJoyness has been around for 3.5 years.

Can't believe another year has already passed, and it's been 3.5 years since I created JoyousJoyfulJoyness! I've put together some of my favorite pieces in a year end collage.

So much happened last year!

- Got addicted to painting and drawing Capybaras and developed a huge collection of Capybara art including a Capybara Zodiac Collection.

- Launched custom painted portraits and custom stuffed animal portraits.

- Grew my sticker collection to over 100 designs.

- Fundraised with the Common Humanity Collective.

- Got selected by the SF Giants to paint a baseball base and attend their Pride Game.

- Participated in two local gallery openings, one solo and one group.

- Created the Close Encounters Collection of cute and silly cat paintings.

What's next for 2025?

Teaching myself how to paint with color last year has unlocked an entirely new passion in my art creation, and I will continue following my inspirations!

As always, my shop is open for purchasing foiled prints, painting prints, stickers, and custom portraits!
