I was thinking about the fake dating trope for personal writing reasons, and I tried to think of a bl with fake dating and come up short. Are there really no bls with fake dating? How did we get omegaverse before fake dating?? Am I forgetting one??

EDIT: @manogirl Reminded me of 2gether in the notes. And I think there was a korean history bl with that subplots. But that is all I got.

Fans of Love Game in Eastern Fantasy complaining about the ending and wishing they'd end up together in modern settings is so hilarious to me cuz die hard Scarlet Heart Ryeo fans WISHED they could be as lucky as them. Horribly tragic ending, an unreleased deleted scene on what COULD'VE been and no reunion or season 2 (except for that hilarious scene in Hotel del Luna, if you know you know). LGIEF fans can just turn around, watch Moonlight and BAM! Miaoqi as lovers in a modern setting, right there ready for ya!

Ianthe Tridentarius and Baru Cormorant are two wildly different people and yet at the first book of their respective series they are in kind of similar positions? Like, they have spent ages meticulously scheming. They're smart and strategic. They've got everyone deceived.
