❝ Yuri. ❞ Otabek simply tries to get his attention as he takes up the spot next to his friend. He was fully aware from the second he entered what was hanging above the Russian skater’s head but Otabek had a feeling Yuri had no clue what was going on around him, having probably entered the room while already checking his social media or watching cat videos or paying more attention to whatever was on his phone at the moment rather than his surroundings- not that Otabek could blame him.

This was always the more annoying part of some of these parties with other skaters. The adults would get drunk and be ridiculous and the rest of them were left to be exasperated.

❝ You might not want to stand here. ❞ He held up a finger pointing at the mistletoe above then pointed to the very drunk Viktor just a little way’s away stumbling around with Yuuri.

❝ One more drink and he or Katsuki might come over and kiss your cheek or something and I doubt you want that so you could move or we could find something more interesting to do. ❞ A simple enough offer. Maybe they could find a place to eat or just see the sights. Anything was probably going to be better than this and they got so little time to spend together alone when they trained in different countries.

Hands gently cradled his cheeks as her lips moved gently against her boyfriends, as if she was holding something precious. And she was holding something precious to her. Lips were turned up into a gentle smile as she pulled away only enough so her eyes could meet his, and Momo kissed his nose too for good measure.     

"Happy birthday, Katsuki."

Katsuki ​smiled softly when he could feel Momo’s familiar weight pressed against his back. “Hi...” he greeted as she kissed across his shoulder. He was already turning to face towards her when she tugged on his waist. 

Once he was fully facing her, his arms slid down around her waist. He melted into her kiss and returned it with some added heat. He was flushed when they pulled apart and shifted so their foreheads pressed together. 

A smirk curled across his lips and he really couldn’t help himself. “So, are ya saying that you’re my present~?” he teased.

Katsuki bristled the moment “shit” left his daughter’s mouth. Shit. Momo was gonna kill him later. 

Still, he tried to keep a straight face and wrapped his arms around his kid. “It’s a word that only adults can say,” was his best reply. Honestly, he didn’t give a fuck if his kid cussed, but Momo sure as shit cared. “Guess you could say it’s ‘bad’, but it’s just not a word a kid can say. It’s like.... how you can’t say the f-word either. Another one of them words.” 

“If you say them, it’ll hurt your mom, and you don’t want that, do you?”

After ensuring the Barbarian's survival followed by handing him over into the care of proper healers, the necromancer wanted on his mighty to.

Or well, that was the plan, the barbarian's dragon who turned out to be a shifter had been keen on keeping him around. At the very least until his rider would be awakened. Being torn between staying at the side of his rider or trying to keep the magic-user around. Ultimately choosing the former thanks to Shinsou continue on moving.

So, given all that after a full day of walking it shouldn't be surprising of spotting a dragon - a red dragon - flying up ahead landing in the nearest clearing.

Crossing his arms, Shinsou approached the duo slowly, there was no point trying to leave, looking up at the blond atop his dragon.

"     Shouldn't you be on your way back to your land by now    "

He was irritated, question why they even bother to seek him out.

Katsuki was doing some studying of his own when he heard his phone buzz on his desk. He reached over to pick it up and smiled warmly when he saw the message that Momo had sent him.

He quickly began to text back.

To [Momo]: Love you too. Wait up for me? 

To [Momo]: I’ll come over when I’m finished with math homework.

Realistically? What the fuck was that supposed to mean? The question felt like some passive aggressive bullshit; like Katsuki didn’t deserve to be with Momo. 

He was quiet for a long minute. Then, he let out a deep breath to calm his irritation. “For as long as she’ll have me,” he answered quietly. “I’m not gonna quantify our relationship with numbers because I don’t know what the future holds for us.”

“I just know that I love her and I wanna spend the rest of my life with her after we graduate. That’s all that matters to me.”

Katsuki’s expression darkened considerably at the greyface’s insults. He would have been lying if he didn’t sometimes feel insecure at all of the interested suitors Momo had waiting to step in if he ever failed. Todoroki, in particular, made him feel uneasy in regards to his girlfriend. Those two had much more in common with each other and the guy was more level headed than him. Not to mention, Momo had admitted to him before that she once had a fleeting crush on the bastard. 

Yeah, maybe, Todoroki was better for her, but none of that shit mattered. 

“Yeah, maybe I can be a pain in the ass to deal with sometimes, but so what?!” Katsuki snapped. “It’s none of your damn business whether or not we deserve each other!” 

“I don’t give a shit what people think because she chose me over everyone else!” he added with a growl. “Even with all of my damn flaws, she still loves me and that’s all that matters!”

Katsuki predictably shivered at each kiss to his shoulder scar. Ever since the bandages had come off, his scars had been sensitive to the slightest bit of pressure against him. He relaxed into her hold, just quietly enjoying her warmth against his body.

“...Yeah, we should,” he agreed after a moment. A soft smile crossed his face before he turned his head to meet her lips in a kiss.
