ā€œAre you sure about this? You know Iā€™ll support you not matter what. But dude, youā€™re definitely good enough to go pro!ā€
Kuroo glances at Bokuto, seated next to him at the bar. His friend is looking down into his drink, brow furrowed, shoulders drooping slightly. He sighs. ā€œYes, Iā€™m sure. I have other things I want to do.ā€
Bokuto nods silently, still looking a bit dejected. And Kuroo understands. He really does. Their final university tournament is fast approaching. After that series of games, theyā€™ll be focused on exams, job interviews, and preparing to move out.
The two of them had shared a university, including a bunch of classes, a volleyball team, and even a living space for the past few years. Their lives had intertwined so much so that Bokuto became more than just a ā€œsecond best friend.ā€
Heā€™s more like a brother now.
But their futures are finally heading in opposite directions, and Kuroo can admitā€”itā€™s a bit daunting. Emotions are running high. ā€œItā€™s not like I wonā€™t be involved in volleyball,ā€ he adds. ā€œI couldnā€™t stay away even if I tried. But I think I want to work from behind the scenes from now on.ā€
Bokutoā€™s mouth twitches into a smile. ā€œYou DO have a lot of options, donā€™t you?ā€ Kuroo had double majored in Biology and Marketing & Communications, all while maintaining his spot on the team. He had been unanimously voted captain in his final year, of course choosing Bokuto as his vice. College had been crazy, but a good kind of crazy, for the most part.
ā€œI want to keep ā€˜lowering the net,ā€™ā€ Kuroo says. ā€œI want to get as many people interested in volleyball as I can.ā€
Bokutoā€™s grin turns toothy. He leans in to clank their glasses together. ā€œNow THATā€™S what Iā€™m talking about!" They both take a long swig. The liquor burns Kurooā€™s throat briefly before a warm, fuzzy feeling settles into his chest.
ā€œYou know, Iā€™m really glad we were here together.ā€ Bokutoā€™s voice is lowered, just loud enough to be heard over the din. Kuroo shifts on his stool, but stays silent, allowing his friend to continue. ā€œIt wasā€¦ hard to accept that Keiji wouldnā€™t be continuing volleyball after high school. And even harder when he chose a different college.ā€
Kuroo nods in understanding. While it hadnā€™t been a surprise that Kenma announced heā€™d be choosing another path, it was still difficult to accept.
ā€œI donā€™t think I couldā€™ve done it without you here, Kuroo!ā€
Frowning, Kuroo reaches to punch his friend lightly in the arm. ā€œOi!ā€ He tuts. ā€œStop that. Or else Iā€™m gonna tell on you to your boyfriend. I know for a fact that Akaashi hates when you cut yourself down!ā€ Bokuto just shrugs. ā€œCā€™mon, Bo. You wouldā€™ve been fine. Great, even. I mean, aside from maybe Chibi-chan, youā€™re the best at making friends. You make your biggest rivals want to cheer for you!ā€
ā€œHey, Hinataā€™s not so ā€˜Chibiā€™ anymore!ā€ Bokuto chuckles. ā€œHave you seen his latest photos from Brazil? My disciple is turning into an absolute beast!ā€
They both laugh, and Kuroo relaxes. Heā€™d been pretty worried about telling Bokuto about his plans. But now that itā€™s done, he finally feels at peace. ā€œYouā€™re going to go far with volleyball,ā€ he declares, raising his glass once again. ā€œI just know it. But someday you might want to put that Education degree to use, too. Hit me up when that happens, okay?ā€
Bokutoā€™s smile is blinding. ā€œYeah!ā€ He nods enthusiastically. ā€œWe could coach at a school, or put a volleyball camp together or something!ā€
Kuroo winks. ā€œNow THAT sounds like a solid plan.ā€
//
Iā€™ve been thinking about Kuroo and Boā€™s friendship a lot lately, especially since I saw that leaked sketch of them leading a kids' volleyball camp together. Itā€™s just so special to me. šŸ„ŗā¤ļø Thanks for reading! If you enjoyed, please comment and share!

Hogtied: Part 2
A month later, your fingers itch to pull up his file. You resist, knowing, and believing that everyone is entitled to their privacy. It is why most workers can only access a heavily redacted copy of Ghost's medical record at your insistence. The full copy is buried in your private files in your office under a false name, same as most of the men you treat, including the Captain.
You've yet to see Kƶnig since his re-check as you have spent a lot of time eating meals in your office recently as due to the mandatory full physicals recently. These days drag on as most do all they can to avoid coming in. Right now, you are waiting on your next appointment. Pulling the file, you see that it is supposed to be Ghost. Grumbling, you stand. There's no way he will show up voluntarily.
Walking into the gym, his most frequent hideout, you see him grappling with someone. "Ghost, you need to come with me." He freezes, and the other man slams him to the floor while he is distracted. You wince, but Ghost pops back up like nothing happened.
"Got me there, Kƶnig. Rematch later?
"Ja, das klingt gud. I look forward to it." You nod to him as you follow Ghost out.
"I was winning before you distracted me, luv."
"Sure you were, tiger. Sure you were." You delight in hearing him mutter under his breath about annoying doctors. "I wouldn't have been a distraction if you would show up voluntarily for your check-ups." He is quiet the rest of the way and strips down to his pants without you needing to ask while you mark down his compliance with the mandate in his public file.
"Are you in pain today? Scale of 1 to just cut it the fuck off." He snorts, which has you grinning, though he can't see it as you lock the door.
"Two, bit of an ache on my side and arm from being slammed down." His tone implies that he thinks it is your fault. You refuse to rise to the bait, giving him a full check from neck to toe, including the hated turn your head and cough. At the very end, you ask him to remove his bally so you can finish up. "Why? I'm perfectly healthy."
"You're not, but this is to make sure you don't have a surprise pop up. I'm the only one who will see, promise." You go through this every time with Ghost. He trusts so reluctantly. "Let me see you, Simon." His real name always stuns him. You use it so rarely. He nods and slips it off, closing his eyes. Averting your own, you give him a moment to come to terms with the lack of fabric before quickly checking him over. At your quiet, "done," he hurriedly puts his mask back on. It shouldn't make you sad, but knowing that he feels more vulnerable, showing his face than having you cup his royal jewels always hits you hard. "I'd like to say see you next year, but we both know you won't stay uninjured that long."
He smirks. "I'd miss your hands on me too much, princess." You shake your head and slip out the door to give him privacy. When you look up, you see Kƶnig sitting in the waiting area.
"Are you waiting for Ghost?"
"Nee, you. I have appointment."
"Oh! I'm so sorry. I hadn't looked ahead. Let's go on back." He follows you amicably, sitting on the exam table. "Before we start," you say locking the door. "Do you want me to redact facts on your public file? I do for many of the team members. The original is kept under lock and key with a pseudonym in my office, but that way, no one else has access to your medical history or anything else you want kept off of it."
"I did not know that was option. Yes. There are questions I have refused to answer."
You nod. "It is a common issue, so I buck the rules a bit for you men. If you could mark this up for me then. It is a copy, so don't hesitate to cross things out. Bring it back to me and I will make the changes. Please strip down to your pants. The mask is up to you for now." You turn away and hear him shuffling a bit before he sits again. Turning, you begin your assessment. He leaves his mask on, but is fidgeting heavily as you take in his broad form. "Perfect," you say trying to keep your admiration for his physique from coloring your tone. You take a steadying breath, then jump right in as though he was no different from any others you have examined. The warmth of your cheeks is a sure sign that you do feel differently, despite your best efforts. You manage to get through everything and when you gesture, he slips off his mask without an argument. You tried to force your eyes away from him when you first saw his face as your supposed enemy, but now looking at him as a friend, you let your eyes linger a bit, tracing over his scars and the chunk cut from his ear. You take notes of the various features to add to his file. "Was it a bite or a knife that did that one?"
"Knife, about three years ago. One of yo - our team, actually." You tut quietly and move on.
"It is optional, but we also offer an std panel. Since you haven't had one before with us, I do recommend it just to have a baseline, but I recognize that it is a private matter that you may wish to take off base. It is a blood draw that you can schedule through the online portal. Seems most don't want to have to ask a pretty girl at the reception desk about it." His smile is lopsided as he slips the mask back on.
"Ja, I could see a problem with asking the pretty doctor for a test." You laugh and wave him off.
"We are done here. Make sure to bring those papers back so I can get that handled. For now, I will move your file, so if you get hurt, make sure they know to call me so I can pull it. Have a good night, Kƶnig. It was good to see you again."
You leave, settling back in your office with his file in hand. Head in your hands, you try to ignore the way your body reacted to being in his proximity. Your panties are soaked, and nothing untoward even happened. After a long think, you lock up the file, readying to leave for the day. You pass Soap in the hall, ignoring his declarations of undying love. He switches tactics suddenly, "ye goin t'be at the pub tonight, lassy?"
You stop and consider it. "Yea, send me the address and I'll stop in. Haven't been out in forever."
He whoops. "Sounds like a randan, hen."
"Nae, ye cannae." You glare at his back as he hurries off, ignoring your protest. Throwing your hands up, you relax in your quarters for a few hours before getting ready to go. You hem and haw more than normal, finally deciding on a knee-length skirt and a cute blouse with a bit of makeup. Looking critically in the mirror, you add a set of leggings, too self-conscious with the scarring on your thighs to risk anyone seeing them on accident.
Entering the pub, you see about a dozen members of the team have shown up and sequestered themselves to one area. All of them are men unsurprisingly. Most of the few women at work refuse to have anything to do with the adrenaline junkies that you treat, not wanting to deal with rough men. Having been around them at work and at leisure, you know that most have a few rough edges, but they always make an effort to include you even if they are incorrigible flirts.
It takes only a few seconds for one of them to spot you, "Oi! It's the doc! In a bloody skirt!" You laugh with the men, walking over and getting passed a pint from the table. Taking a sip, you nearly gag.
"Oof! Who bought this swill? You fucks on a diet or somethin?!" You set it down in disgust and ask for a pint of your favorite at the bar, a nice frothy glass of Guinness. Bringing it back, both Soap and Ghost gasp as if wounded.
"Ye cannae be serious, not Guinness!"
"Am scunnered ye think tha piss taint pure minging."
"English, ya fucks. Use English."
"What, like right proper Bri'ish, chappie? That piss is a load of tosh. Downright naff, it is." Soap burstd into a fit of giggles at your horrible impression of Ghost. Gaz wraps an arm around your shoulders.
"Never, ever pretend to be English again. My God your accent is horrid."
"WƤre Deutsch besser? ģ•„ė‹ˆė©“ ķ•œźµģ–“? (Animyeon hangug-eo?) QuizĆ”s el espaƱol sea mejor. I can do this all night."
"Rather have you speaking tongues on my cock, later," says a newer recruit. He is promptly elbowed by the guy next to him and a quiet argument breaks out. You opt to ignore the idiot and turn to Gaz.
"How have you been, mate? I haven't seen much of most of you and too much of the rest lately." He chuckles knowing exactly what time of year it is and drops his arm to your back.
"Busy, Captains got me running a lot of things right now trying to keep ahead of the Kƶnig mess."
"I shouldn't ask, should I? They mad we nabbed him and gave him Stockholm Syndrome?"
"That's putting it lightly. They've tried legal and illegal ways of forcing him back. It's been a right mess. I think it will clear up soon though. Poor guy's been through the ringer, but you wouldn't know it. He's been a good asset, thanks to you." You freeze, drink halfway to your lips. Putting it back on the table a little too hard, you turn to face Gaz.
"What do you mean thanks to you?" He scratches his head nervously.
"I just mean, you treated him up nice and it put him in a better mindset. Cooperated with everything and all. After the second meeting, he agreed to join us when nothing would sway him before."
"Oh. Umm... ok. Should I put that on my resume? 'Bedside manner good enough to make men turn traitor'. That sounds like an in-demand skill." He looks shocked and hurt.
"You're leaving us? Why? Is it because of the FNG over there? I'll smoke him right now if it is." His exclamations have drawn the attention of others who also demand answers.
"No, it was just a joke, mate. I ain't leaving. It'd make my parents way too happy, after all. And I'd miss my little arsonists and murderers." You wink at Soap and Ghost who stand a little taller, proud of their work.
"Now, I thought you were gonna get mad wae it, Bubbles." Soap groans at the new moniker.
"It's Soap, nae Bubbles, hen. Noo, haud yer wheesht." You laugh at his descent back into his mother language, not missing the way Ghost's eyes lit up at the nickname. Much of the rest of the night is spent trading stories until last order is called then piling into shared taxis back to base. You end up scrunched between Ghost and Soap, as per usual. They are always perfect gentlemen and don't want to risk that someone else isn't when you can't get away.
Waving them off near their quarters, you stop to enjoy the view of the city. A boot scuffing nearby startles you. Spinning around to face it, you lose your balance. Arms wrap tight around your waist, catching you and pulling you against a large torso to steady you upright.
"Oops!" You giggle, the drinks making you feel loosey goosey.
"You must be careful, Schatz. It can be dangerous." You cheeks flush pink at the nickname. It shouldn't effect you this much to be called treasure by anyone, but it does.
"Ja, alles klar. Ich bin vorsichtig. (Yes, I'm ok. I am careful) You say as you pull away carefully, not thinking much of it. "Gute Nacht, mein Kƶnig." Patting his chest, you turn to walk to your quarters, not realizing that you have stunned him into silence by speaking his mother tongue so easily and calling him yours.
You're glad to have the next day off to nurse your hangover. When you make it to mess at lunch, the men tease you about your preference for dark beers. You ignore them, trying to focus on the dry toast you convinced the cook to hand over and your glass of water. "Worth it," you say at last. "Dark beer is always better going down and light beers taste like you had someone drink a dark beer then piss in a cup for you to drink."
The laughter your statement causes makes you wince in pain, which in turn has them trying to hold it in. "Surprised you aren't tucked into a hoodie, luv. Couldn't find one this morning?" You glare at Ghost.
"You took it back last time. I'm out of comfortable hoodies."
"Och, ye poor lassie. The big bad men took their clothes back." You flip Soap the bird, then jump when a hand comes into view.
"Here, Sonnenschein." You look up at Kƶnig who has apparently been sitting next to you this entire time, holding a hoodie out for you.
"Oh, thank you. It's even softer than Ghost's." You slip it on, happily. The sleeves hang off your hands by several inches and when you stand, it hangs down to your knees. The warmth from his body hasn't left it, making it feel a bit like a heated blanket. "It's lovely. You're never getting this back, now." Kƶnig chuckles, adjusting himself to better see you.
"Looks good on you." He turns back to his food and you make the mistake of glancing up at Ghost and Soap. They are staring at you, mouths slack in shock.
"Gonna eat a fly if ya don't shut yer gobs." You turn back to your toast with a small smile. Hearing their teeth snap together turns it into a full-blown grin.
You veg out in your room the rest of the day, lounging in the hoodie until dinner. Feeling better, you leave it in your room. Sitting next to Kƶnig, he looks you up and down.
"Mein Schatz, you have forgotten to wear my clothes."
"Just saving it for later, GroƟer. I don't want to wear it to bits too soon." From across the table, Ghost huffs.
"That's true, too. My hoodie was fuckin threadbare when I got it back. You're rough on clothes, Lamb." You grumble at him, not denying anything. Kƶnig chuckles at your attitude and Ghost smirks beneath his mask. You eat quietly the rest of the meal, listening to them discuss an upcoming mission. You make a mental note to check supplies as it sounds like more than a quick in and out thing.

This was originally going to be in reply to @glowinggreeneyes-e post about the Captain's education and career path...but then I got carried away because I'm so normal about this stuff so it's now its own post...with added angst because I have no control over any of this, my brain just goes.
So for a start the Captain would have gone to a public boarding school. I think it's worth pointing out that public schools and universities operated scholarships for students from less wealthy backgrounds. We're still talking middle class and upper middle, but not always full on wealthy and privileged in the way of someone like Julian. Cap strikes me as having the background of a family well enough off but he probably always had to work hard to prove himself for his place, maybe not so much for public school but definitely for university.
Whatever school he attended would have had an Officer Training Corps junior division. Basically cadets. This would lead to the possibility to do an exam (written and practical) to get what was called certificate A to show he had participated in the OTC.
From the Button House Archives it says Cap got to the front in WW1 at armistice and so never saw action. So I imagine he finished his studies at school in the summer, enlisted and completed basic training, and then was out to Europe just in time for things to end. Because he got his certificate A at school he had the option at university to join the OTC university division. This was a route to becoming a commissioned officer. You either needed certificate A or experience in the ranks to join. For the sake of argument, serving in the army for a couple of months wouldn't count as experience so he must have had the certificate A...
University options at that time were limited to Oxbridge, Durham or London. All of those had OTC. I think London can be ruled out...only because it was busy, loud and ugly, even then (sorry London friends!) and the Captain likes wildlife and the countryside and nature walks...I can't see him thriving in London.
Training with the OTC at university involved physical training, military strategy, history and law etc. The Captain would have had to complete 2 years training before he could have done exams for his Certificate B - practical and written. Passing the exams would have entitled him to a commission on graduation. Getting Certificate B wasn't common because of the amount of work involved and dedication required to be successful. It was hard!
Like I want to point out that to get that far would have required so much effort and dedication right from being a child. And this is where I will get sad and headcanon-y for a bit (let me have this one thing out of all this research!)
Bullying and abusive rituals were a big part of public school life at this time and any boy seen as even slightly different would have been targeted for sure, even by some of the teachers. So although Cap comes across as clever and capable at what he knows I think school would have been socially really freaking hard. For a child in that situation I could see the OTC being a respite and something the Captain would have found very comforting with the set rules, order and expectations and from there you can understand why career army would have been appealing...
And I think that's when things get a bit complicated. The army was his life but in a different way to officers who wanted to be on the front line, like Havers. Obviously Cap worked extremely hard for his commission - and he was obviously very well qualified and knowledgable in his areas of interest, but he was always ever going to be best at HQ tasks like intelligence or engineering or whatever his particular career skills were - loving the army in theory, but some of it would have always been out of his reach. And I think being in a public school during WW1 and hearing of so many former pupils (some he would have known personally as seniors, prefects or head of houses) losing their lives on a daily basis during WW1 would have had a huge effect on him and probably influenced some of the guilt about not having the opportunity to fight himself, but ultimately I think he probably knew that wasn't his part to play even with WW2.
And I think all that that shows in his interactions we see in his past as CO - he was obviously doing a good job at whatever secret little operations he had but he really didn't have the skills/personality needed to be a CO. Having someone like Havers as a second hid that (and that's also seen in Havers getting 2 promotions in 4 years...he was much more of a natural CO) and I wonder if a lot of affection that Cap had for Havers originally came from the fact that Havers not only respected him as CO but he was also just kind to him and saw a person worthy of affection - rather than the CO that everyone tolerated but secretly disrespected and laughed at (just look at how all the other officers couldn't wait to come down on him in 5.05)
And then he lost Havers. But still had to command up to 150 men and operations at Button House for the next 4 years. And it's obvious from the letters and information in the Button House Archives that he really REALLY did try and I think with considering everything it's no wonder he overcompensates a lot and that's where he's at in the first couple of seasons of Ghosts; fighting for authority and trying to do his best.
Last sad point because it does relate: When he died Havers gave Cap the swagger stick to hold - Havers still called him 'Sir' even though he outranked him at that point. I don't know if I can begin to unpick all of that, but there's definitely something in there about respect, belief and the burden of responsibility that he clearly took seriously into his afterlife not wanting to let Havers down both personally and professionally.
If you read all of this I love you and respect you and appreciate you for appreciating my level of not normal xD

I don't know if this is ever going to leave the drafts (if anyone sees this, you can tell I've just said fuck it) but I have many thoughts on bmc but if it was in new Zealand. Or if some of the characters were Māori. Is it largely bullshit? Yeah. Do I care? No. The concept has been swimming around my head for ages I just finally need to get it out
First off. Armageddon. Michael and Jeremy are going every year. In cosplay. Pre Squip Rich would have too. Armageddon = convention.
Anyway, Chloe and Jake as being Māori. Well. Undecided on Chloe, but if she were she would have the pukana down to an art.
This is where projection comes in with Jake. Jake pretends a lot, deflects his own feelings. Let's add in a small identity crisis but making him a white-passing Māori who doesn't know where he whakapapas too. He knows he's Māori but with his parents not encouraging it as he gets older and then just leaving, he's lost the only real tie to who he is and if he doesn't know who he is then what's the point in trying to forge that connection himself when he has no idea where to start. The language that he grew up learning is foreign to him. There's a hole that he just can't fill and there are options for him to take but he won't. After all, who would believe him if he tried to stake his claim?
Speaking of Jake, he's head boy material. If he's not head boy, he's house captain. He'd hold records for athletics and swimming sports.
I don't think this was a universal NZ high school experience, but my high school had a parables competition (yay! go Catholic school! /sarcasm) which was basically each house did a short play that was lovely based on a parable and full of jokes and references. This has Christine written all over it.
(speaking of Catholic education, I do occasionally think about the concept of Jake being raised Catholic. He'd have top marks in religious studies but god he'd be even deeper in the closet)
Brooke and Michael both take art. Michael falls victim to the 'term 4 rush to complete the art portfolio because you spent the whole year procrastinating' curse and rushing to put something together. Brooke has it done in plenty of time. One year, Michael finished his portfolio right before it had to be packed up and sent away.
Brooke makes it to the excellence exhibition for her level three portfolio
Chloe is the type of girl to get all her clothes from Glassons
A while ago I made a post about Jake shopping at Factorie, which I don't think is around anymore. But I walked past it once and everything was brightly coloured and fluorescent
Chloe and Brooke have matching Pandora bracelets. I don't think that's strictly a kiwi thing but they absolutely would
Speaking of Brooke and Chloe, we have no Pinkberry. My town used to have Kiwiberry, so I guess that's the equivalent?? Or they go to Tank and get smoothies.
Christine participates in Summer Shakespeare, or the Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festivals.
I don't think much would really change plot wise. Jeremy buys his Squip in the back of a Kmart. Not sure where Michael's getting his vintage fizzy from. Jake's 100% an over achiever. They're all likely to be wearing school uniforms, and Jake would 100% have a blazer (if he can't have a letterman, he gets a school blazer. It's close enough). My only thing is that school productions (in my experience and observations) happen in the middle of the year? Before Halloween. And if they're juniors in high school, then I would assume they would be like year 12. So that's really getting to the time of year where they have like a week or two left of school because exams start in November. So the climax of the play and Jake's Halloween party don't line up.
The only way I can think of it working is starting, like, the year before? Midway through the plot is when the cast would join the play. Jake's party could just be a regular house party during the term breaks. Or, y'know, I could be completely wrong regarding the timings of school productions. But exams do start in November so the characters wouldn't really be in school.
Unless the squip tries to hijack prize giving which would really be an odd choice.
(i actually took a look at when some of the local high schools do their shows and scratch all that, it could work out since they do their shows in march which would mean they probably would start preparing the year before? im not 100% sure considering that is a lot of time for a show- maybe too much. most of the theatre i did during high school was not at school. the theatre i did at school aligned more with a musical but put most of the focus on dancing rather than plot. anyway, those happened in like september)
(im putting way too much thought into the logistics for the plot of a silly little musical that takes place in new jeresy)
Jake's that kid that needs help carrying all his awards and trophies off the stage at prize giving.
If I were to assign them house colours, Jake and Michael are obviously red, Chloe is blue, Rich is green, Brooke is yellow. Not sure about Jeremy, Christine, or Jenna. Are houses a thing in us schools?
Christine becomes performing arts committee leader, Chloe becomes the social committee leader who plans the school ball (Brooke and Jenna are also on the committee).
Chloe is a netball girlie. All the girls who you could possibly think of as the mean girls all played netball
(and they all had platinum blonde hair too...)
Jake, Brooke, Rich and Chloe all have lunch bordering on the out of bounds area, where teachers don't often pass. Jeremy and Michael have a classroom. Michael gets his slushies from the school tuck shop.
Chloe did Kapa Haka as a kid. Undecided whether or not she still does in high school.
Jake gets an excellence endorsement in every subject because of course he does

Alpha Two
Your death came sooner than most. You were an orphan that's all you were. And in your country that meant you were The Undeserving. You didn't get love or a home. No, they took you and the other orphans and experimented on them. The only problem was many died. You did to eventually. The outside world flourished while you bleed for it to be better. Finally when your body and spirit were broken. When you couldn't give no more you were tossed like the rest.
You were dying but you heard a gentle voice humming a soft melody. The masked woman said, "It's time to begin anew my child." When you awake you are in a bed. And that same masked woman is waiting for you asleep in the chair beside you.

Kasane Wulf - F - (RO)
Age - 23
height - 5.3
Power - Sword Manipulation
Kasane doesnā€™t like you. Oops sorry make that Captain Kasane doesnā€™t like you. Or it could be that sheā€™s brash with everyone. She seems to tolerate your existence be that temporarily. Kasane does however look at you as useful. Thatā€™s simply because you are a Kitsune. (She's very bad at interaction. So she's blunt plus the whole ex of hers sorta ruined her.)
(Kasane romance can start early with a secret FWB or a situationship. She's still cold and no feelings are involved. But we all know how this works. You can choose to be in love with Kasane or feel nothing at the beginning. This will not lock in the romance.)
Arashi Snow - F - (RO)

Your follower and sworn sword from birth. Annos family has been serving yours since the beginning of your family's reign. She tends to only interact with you and your men. Fic Update: Bottled Ocean, Chapter 37
Bottled Ocean summary:
Lance knew the moment he saw the one-armed Human man in pain, bleeding and tied up like bait in the ocean that the people on the nearby ship were the ones Mers like him were warned to stay far, far away from. Lance knew the moment he saw the one-armed Human man in pain, bleeding and tied up like bait in the ocean that the people on the nearby ship were the ones Mers like him were warned to stay far, far away from.
But even with such a warning there was no way of knowing how dangerous this particular ship, belonging to Night Elf Captain Lotor, could be.
And even had he known, Lanceā€™s actions would have been the same. The man, Shiro, needed help. Shiroā€™s younger brother, a half blood Human / Night Elf and fellow abused slave needed rescued. And Lance could not, would not, turn away from those in need.
But all actions have consequences.
Lance is captured and now the fate that awaits him is as a test subject as Lotor seeks to unravel all of the legends, the mysteries and the magic of the Mers. His only hope is an escape alongside Shiro and Keith. But the clock is ticking as Lotorā€™s experiments and methods grow more cruel, more violent, and if they donā€™t escape soonā€¦ the only freedom any of them will find will be in death.
Chapter 37 snippet:
ā€œAs I had expected,ā€ Lotor sounded above his sharp breaths, ā€œyour magic levels are still depleted. Pity. I suppose we shall have to move such studies to another day as,ā€ and a hand landed upon Lanceā€™s head, sharp nails raking both gently and painfully through his hair, ā€œI cannot risk losing my beloved Mer.ā€
Lance tried to find the silver lining of relief in those few words ā€” Lotor didnā€™t want to kill him accidentally by draining his magic, Lance didnā€™t have to feel that terrible cold and darkness again (yet), and Lance didnā€™t have to perform magic and have Lotor try to study it again today ā€” but Lotorā€™s hand twisting his hair and the still too tight cold feeling in his chest made it difficult.
It also meant he was down to two choices of experimentation.
ā€œThe first viable option I shall offer you is a further physical exam and basic dissection,ā€ Lotor said as pleasantly as one offering menu options while Lanceā€™s stomach clenched as heā€™d known it was coming, butā€¦ butā€¦. ā€œNothing too extreme, of course, as I have a great many plans for you yet, but something to get my more physical studies started.ā€
Lance was almost more terrified to know what the other choice was because it couldnā€™t be worse than dissecting him ā€” and Alaraan, it would hurt so much and thereā€™d be no escape and justā€¦ justā€¦
ā€œThe secondary option would be a little experiment of sorts to study some of the ancient legends I have found in my research of Mers to see if there is more fact than fiction behind such wild tales,ā€ Lotor continued. ā€œThat is all I am able to say on such an item as I cannot have my lovely test subject,ā€ his thumb stroked across Lanceā€™s head, ā€œskewing my data with any preconceived ideas. Both are of course methods I shall be researching in full, but I shall allow you to choose which to start with.ā€
Lance trembled.
Either submit himself to literally being cut open and apart ā€” and he and Lotor he was sure had different definitions of extreme to where the only thing Lance was somewhat certain of was he would not be losing any limbs at this point ā€” or some unknown experiment involving Mer lore and possibly revealing elements of his culture and history.
One definitely promised pain while the other could hurt in so many other ways.
Butā€¦
Lance swallowed, feeling his throat bob.
He didnā€™t want to be cut up. He didnā€™t want to be taken apart in pieces. And right now, as proven, he didnā€™t have the strength to even try to heal any of the damage Lotor left behind.
Whatever this other option wasā€¦
It seemed, at the moment, the lesser of the two evils even if Lance knew he was just delaying the inevitable.

From Student to Skywalker: How to Become a Pilot After 12th
Tumblr media
Becoming a pilot after completing your 12th grade is an exciting and fulfilling career choice. If you've always dreamed of soaring through the skies, pursuing pilot courses after 12th could be your perfect adventure. Hereā€™s a step-by-step guide to help you make that dream a reality.
Step-By-Step Guide to Help You Become a Pilot After the 12th
1. Understand the Qualifications
Ā To pursue a career as a pilot after 12th, you need to meet some basic requirements. You must have completed your 12th with Physics and Mathematics as core subjects. Additionally, a good physical and medical health status is essential to meet aviation standards. This is the first step in ensuring youā€™re ready for the rigorous training ahead.
2. Choose the Right Pilot Course
Ā There are different types of pilot courses available after the 12th. The most popular options include:
Commercial Pilot License (CPL): This course allows you to fly as a commercial airline pilot. It usually takes 18-24 months to complete, with a mix of theoretical and practical training.
Private Pilot License (PPL): This is a shorter course for those who wish to fly for personal purposes. Itā€™s often the first step towards a CPL.
Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL): This is for those who want to fly larger aircraft or work as captains for major airlines. However, this course generally requires experience from a CPL first.
3. Enroll in a Reputed Flying School
Ā After choosing the right course, your next step is to find a reputed flying school. Look for schools that are approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to ensure that your training meets international standards. Flying schools offer practical flying lessons, simulators, and classroom training to prepare you for various aviation challenges.
4. Financial Considerations
Ā Pilot training is costly, so make sure you're financially prepared. The cost of obtaining a CPL can range from ā‚¹15 lakh to ā‚¹30 lakh, depending on the school and location. Many students opt for education loans or scholarships to help cover the cost of training.
5. Physical Fitness and Medical Exam
Ā Being a pilot requires top-notch physical fitness. Youā€™ll need to undergo a Class 1 medical examination approved by the DGCA. This will assess your vision, hearing, and overall health to ensure you're fit for flying.
6. Build Flight Hours and Gain Experience
Ā Once you have completed your training, you will need to accumulate a specific number of flight hours to qualify for your commercial license. This will involve flying with an instructor, and later, solo flights.
Conclusion
Ā Becoming a pilot after 12th is challenging but incredibly rewarding. With the right training, including pilot courses after 12th, perseverance, and passion for flying, you can turn your dreams into reality and become a Skywalker, commanding the skies.

why does Starfleet have so many weird psychological tests? you walk in there to take the bridge officerā€™s exam or something, and youā€™re immediately greeted with an unlikely, no-win, secret-test-of-character scenario that requires you to cross out options A, B, C, and D and invent your own option Z. captain picard calls you into his office and yells at you for twenty minutes and you canā€™t take that at face value because you might be experiencing a How-You-Respond-To-Being-Yelled-At-For-Twenty-Minutes Test. why do they ALL play insane psychological mind games? I think my head would explode if I had to deal with this on an everyday basis

Why did you elbow me? 97
Achilles Castle part 2
Castle: pov it's 8am and Kate is still sleeping. I try to get out of bed to go to the bathroom but as soon as I put my foot on the ground to stand I let out a yelp as the searing pain hits me, Kate is immediately up and by my side. The pain is overwhelming, she manages to help me to the bathroom. She quickly got me and herself dressed. Her and Alexis help me downstairs to the car. It's decided we are headed to the Er since my leg is swollen. The ride to the Er is short.
Dave: pov it's a rush to get dressed, we help get Mr Castle get in the car. Me and Alexis run into the Er to get a wheelchair for her dad since it hurts for him to walk. Mr Castle is filling out some forms. After 30 minutes his name is called. I offer to wait here in the waiting room until he is done being examined.
Kate: pov me and Alexis wheel Castle into the exam room. The Dr named Clark is nice. We help Castle onto the exam table. The Dr feels around his leg/foot and says nothing feels broken but there is a lot of swelling and a small gap. He has Castle lay on his stomach so he can look at the back of his leg. I explain how he got injured, Dr Clark said why didn't he come in yesterday I mentioned he said he was fine. Also we had no power. They are going to take him for x-rays and more in depth scans. The Dr thinks it could be that something is pulled or ripped in his leg like a muscle or tendon which is scary and concerning. Me and Alexis are waiting for him to get back from his scans.
Castle: pov a nurse wheels me to the scan room so I can get an x-ray and a more in depth scan. Once the scans are over I'm then taken for an ultrasound of my leg. I tell the nurse my wife always tells me how cold the gel is but I never realized until today how cold it really is.
nurse Karla: pov well instead of seeing a baby you're seeing your leg muscle. How many kids do you and your wife have?
Castle: pov i tell her I have one from a previous relationship but other than that none together.
nurse Karla: pov Oh I thought because you talked about the ultrasound gel being cold that you had kids together.
Castle: pov no my wife has a heart condition, so she gets a lot of echocardiograms.
nurse Karla: pov I'm so sorry I had no idea. What type of heart condition does your wife have? He says ventricular tachycardia. I ask if she was born with it. He says no she got shot at her Captain's funeral she is a homicide captain out of the 12th precinct. He mentions she had to have emergency heart surgery, Wow.
Castle: pov I'm sent back to the exam room to wait for the results. 40 minutes later the Dr comes in and mentions an orthopedic surgeon will be brought in to look at my scans. He says I have a Achilles tendon rupture. That sounds awful, he goes over the options with us.
Kate: pov me and Alexis are in the room with Castle. The orthopedic Dr and surgeon are giving us options he says surgery might be the best option so this doesn't happen again if we had come in yesterday he might not have needed surgery. Since Castle is a writer he can still work while he is recovering.
Castle: pov I agree to have the surgery, I tell Kate to call my mother, Lanie and the boys. Kate says she will also update her dad. Since I haven't eaten since last night it means I don't have to wait to have the surgery. They go over my medical history with me while Kate calls our family and friends.
Lanie: pov I'm in the morgue examining the body trying to determine what killed him. I can tell he was already dead when his organs were removed. I pick up the phone and call Esposito to update him on what I found.
Kate: pov I call Martha first who is very worried for her son, the boys and Lanie have a homicide which means they can't come down right away but hope everything goes well, my dad is in a meeting so I left him a message.
Alexis: pov me and Kate are with my dad saying goodbye as they are getting him ready for surgery it's around lunch time now. In the waiting room Dave offers to get us food because we never ate breakfast. I get up and tell Dave what Kate can eat.
Castle: pov an iv is placed in my arm and I'm wheeled into the OR. The surgeon cleans the area he will be working on. The anesthesiologist puts a mask on my face and has me count to 100.
Esposito: pov I'm talking to witnesses of the crime to see if they saw or heard anything.
Ryan: pov I'm looking the guy up online and checking out his financial records. Lanie was able to I'd the guy thanks to his wallet being in his pocket. Esposito is getting in touch with his family.
Dave: pov I grab 2 sandwiches and for Kate a bowl of oatmeal, the lady gives me a bag so I can carry the waters. I hand Alexis her sandwich and water.
Alexis: pov Dave hands Kate her oatmeal and water which she puts next to her. I'm very hungry but nervous about dad's surgery. Gram should be arriving soon. Me and Dave manage to finish our food Kate hasn't touched hers yet. I ask her if she Is nervous about dad's surgery, she says yes, something bad could happen. I can tell there is more to it but won't press her on it. I tell her that she doesn't look good. To be continued. ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦

OK 2ND PART YAYAYAYAYA my biases from these groups are namjoon + yoongi , taehyun + beomgyu , sunghoon + jungwon & hongjoong + san!! from the other groups it's eunchae + maybe sakura / chaewon (not sure yet!) , hoshi + hao + cheol + gyu + shua (THE LOMLS <3) & chenle + renjun + yuta + taeyong + xiaojun for nct šŸ˜‡šŸ˜‡šŸ˜‡
i also really like the boyz , p1harmony , newjeans + other groups & soloists + krnb
i only have 1 friend who's into kpop because here they are lets say.. v closed off and narrow-minded so they are more the type to make fun of u or directly judge it without even having heard a single song (ive experienced it firsthand MULTIPLE times & almost everytime received a judgy comment when they found out i liked kpop šŸ˜‘) NOT THAT I CARE BUT STILL ! it would be really fun to make pcs of each & listen to kpop tgt ngl but it's ok since i got my one closest friend who's also a kpop fan so we can talk about our groups, cbs, pcs and kpop news and buy albums tgt šŸ˜ we were even supposed to go try and see ateez last year + this year but BOTH times it was exam season so we couldn't but she likes svt so much now she said she would accompany me if they go on europe tour šŸ˜
omg should i watch it if i can ...... that sounds genuinely so cool šŸ˜ imo art is so so cool i love it sm but as much as i would like to and admire it, i am not too much of an art gal except for writing. i did draw a bit when i was young and even got a drawing tablet & i love watching dance videos but writing is my thing yk so i just do that and have been for years hihihi
BUT i do get what u mean because it's difficult to turn those things into jobs yk like u have to be really really good at it and even then it's still difficult. WHAT ARE U GONNA STUDY because ur not into stem apparently and much more into arts obviously
don't flatter me too much hehe šŸ˜š nekoma <33 always a soft spot for them ngl i think in general i had a huge thing for captains ... HELLO WE KINDA HAVE THE SAME FAV LIST :O i haven't watched s4 yet because im trying to collect the manga but yes i heard the animation was a but eh . But that the matches were v interesting like i saw so many tiktoks about the inarizaki game & it looked so so cool i wanna watch it so bad i swearrr I NEED TO REWATCH IT I STOPPED BEFORE THE TRAINING CAMP
omg the amount of overlap in biases that we have,,, im vv much jin, taehyun + beomgyu, sunghoon + jungwon, eunchae, jeonghan + dino + dokyeom, yuta + johnny + mark + chenle + ten + hendery biased :DD and potentially yeosang bc heā€™s so ?? pretty ?? AND AAGH TBZ !! i love kevin omfg ++ soul from p1h && haerin n hanni from newjeans :D ugh all of the newjeans members r so <3 tbh
and ugh so sorry to hear that !!! tbh i think itā€™s bc i live in a predominantly asian town so i think people around me r a lot more receptive to kpop,, but so glad u have a close friend u can share the joy w :DDD && vv much hope svt goes on a europe tour for u guys !!!!
yesyes !! u should def watch it !! the set is on youtube && itā€™s like 6 mins long so it wonā€™t take too much time out of ur day :D and iā€™ve applied to most unis as a creative writing/english literature major !! but iā€™d hope to minor in media studies, linguistics, or fashion communications/styling/journalism !! it really just depends on which school i end up committing to && what they offer,, but im honestly so unsure abt my future so i want to explore diff options if possible :D what abt u ?
AND YESYES !! dori omg watching the rest of haikyuu imo is soso worth it,, like overall the series is just,, vv comforting && fun :D
