Older animation (Hook be like)
Hello. I wanted to post it here long time but you know how it is. SCHOOL.
So here I am posting my animation of Captain Hook, Lady Tremaine and Hans in Pattycake production last episode Life's not fair - Villains lair. WITH SOUND! YAY! I animated it in January. I wanted to make them look like they look in the video so yes, Hook's design is little different.
Enjoy!
Hope you like it. :)

So I just realized something while rewatching The Villains Lair again.
The crew that Hook and Tremaine had for the song "Life's Not Fair" didn't appear in either part of Ancient Relics.
Which most likely means that they just straight-up died in the ship when it went down.
These guys literally just existed to sing a song that slaps, then die. What lads.

So I kinda had a thought that I possibly wanna play with one day
The thought being where there's a Disney AU where some of the villains come together and create a sort of team, ik this idea has technically been done before by the channel PattyCake and their musical series "The Villains Lair" but I kinda wanna wanna do my own version that feels a bit more realistic and has a story that makes the protagonists also have to team up
I will have rules for what cannot be added into this idea tho, for future reference:
-No live action remakes will have important characters or cameos
-Bad movies/series will still have chances to have cameos but mainly as jokes, they will not have any important role in the story
-AUs people made will be allowed to be part of the story(you'll see what I mean in a moment)
Alright, now time to list who will be in this team of villains, there will be a secondary list of villains who aren't exactly in the team but are allies in some way
Villain team members:
Evil Queen(Founder)
Captain Hook(Founder)(+ Mr. Smee)
Dr. Facilier(Founder)
Maleficent(Founder)
Ursula(Founder)(+ Flotsam & Jetsam)
Hades(+ Pain & Panic)
Scar
Villain Tinkerbell
Oogie Boogie
Villain team allies(& their typings):
AUTO(One off & Tricked/Unwilling)
Ernesto de la Cruz(Side help/spy & Tricked/Unwilling)
Sanderson Sisters(Backup & Side help/spy)
Syndrome(One off)
Tamatoa(Side help/spy)
Mor'du(?)(Tricked/Unwilling) (Honestly debating on him)
Yzma(?)(One off)
Hades(He's also here bc he kinda goes back and forth)
Claude Frollo(Side help/spy & tricked/unwilling)
This probably isn't gonna be it as there is a lot more villains I need to consider and think logically about so this is technically just the concept
But as you can see, Villain AUs of characters are gonna be featured, mainly bc I am currently obsessed with Tinkerbell's fanmade villain song lmao
And before anyone says that certain things wouldn't make sense, you can alert me to it but do so with the fact in mind that I do know what I'm doing when it comes to their dynamics
Like I am fully aware how out of pocket it is for Villain Tink and Hook to be on the same team, willingly, but I got that covered lmao
This is a big ol' if tho, if I do this, if I make stuff with this. Do I want smth cool to be made from this? Yes. But I dunno when or if I will have the motivation to make anything with it. Like if someone wants to make stuff with it, go ahead, the only thing I want in on is the story, I made the story and I don't mind ppl helping me develop with said story but if something gets made with this concept I fully intend to give the story to whoever is making it with credits towards me.
If.. Anything happens. Big. Ass. If.

Look What You Made Me Brew (Unexpected Musicals) — PattyCake Productions music video
youtube
Every villain is the protagonist of their own story, and part of that viewpoint requires finding ways to justify their actions. The so-called heroes must deserve to be on the receiving end of their machinations.
So when the PattyCake guys decided to convene a meeting of some of their favorite baddies for their second Halloween video, they turned to the music of Taylor Swift, who some people view as a hero, and who has been villainized by others. Her gaslight-gatekeep-girlboss anthem was the perfect choice for these characters to revel in their wickedness.
Details:
title: Unexpected Musicals — Look What You Made Me Brew
performers: Jennica McCleary (Winifred Sanderson), Stephanie Trilli (Sarah Sanderson), Jaimz Dillman (Mary Sanderson), Michelle Knight (Regina / Evil Queen), Leah Lowman (Maleficent), Tiffany Trilli (Cruella De Vil), T. Robert Pigott (Captain Hook), Emma Dahlin (additional vocals), & Hannah Juliano (additional vocals)
original songs / performers: main title theme from Hocus Pocus; "Look What You Made Me Do" by Taylor Swift; "Shake It Off" by Taylor Swift; "I Knew You Were Trouble" by Taylor Swift; "…Ready for It?" by Taylor Swift; "Style" by Taylor Swift; "Bad Blood" by Taylor Swift, feat. Kendrick Lamar
written by: Hocus Pocus main theme by John Debney; "Look What You Make Me Do" by Taylor Swift, Jack Antonoff, Fred Fairbrass, Richard Fairbrass, & Rob Manzoli; "Shake It Off" by Taylor Swift, Max Martin, & Karl "Shellback" Schuster; "I Knew You Were Trouble" by Taylor Swift, Max Martin, & Karl "Shellback" Schuster; "…Ready for It?" by Taylor Swift, Max Martin, Karl "Shellback" Schuster, & Ali Payami; "Style" by Taylor Swift; "Bad Blood" Taylor Swift, Max Martin, Karl "Shellback" Schuster, & Kendrick Lamar
arranged by: Randy Nichols, Layne Stein, & Tony Wakim
release date: 3 October 2017
My favorite bits:
the witches' fantastic acting in the intro
everyone's dramatic entrances
the emphasis of specific instruments for each character — stacatto brass behind the Evil Queen, tinkling bells for Maleficent, cymbals and kettle drums with Cruella, clockwork precise snare drums and piano for Hook
the Evil Queen's gritty belt on the second ♫ "bad dreams" ♫
everything grinding to a halt for the "Shake It Off" gag
all the samples from Taylor's other songs blended into the polyphony section
Winnie's final cackle
the spellbook rolling its eye at their melodrama during the end credits

Trivia:
Many of the songs in this medley had also been featured in PattyCake's "Cinderswift" video at the beginning of the year. The one new Taylor Swift song is sung by Leah (Maleficent), who played Cinderella in that project.
Because there is no animated version of Hocus Pocus, the other villains are dressed in costumes and playing characterizations based on the live-action adaptations of their stories.
This video was filmed in a cottage interior set at Columbia Street Studios in Orlando.
Jennica, Jaimz, & Stephanie all returned to reprise their Sanderson sisters roles from "Hocus Heathens" the previous Halloween.
Michelle had played the Evil Queen in PattyCake's very first Unexpected Musical, "Snow Spears", and has continued in that role for their Villains Lair series.
Robby and Tiffany have also remained as Captain Hook and Cruella in The Villains Lair.
Leah first portrayed Maleficent in "Michaeleficent" earlier in the year, and has done so occasionally in the years since.
Some fans pointed out that Maleficent singing the line about "kingdom keys" could also be read as a reference to the Kingdom Hearts video game series in which the character is an antagonist.
The blinking spellbook was created by Rick Underwood, who specializes in props and special effects makeup, which he also uses to create scares for Universal Studios' annual Halloween Horror Nights events.
This video was published a few weeks before Layne flew to L.A. to film VoicePlay's messy version of the song with the pocket.watch crew, which premiered in January.
This video racked up a million views on Facebook in less than two weeks.
Jennica provided a peek behind the scenes on Facebook Live as the cast an crew were preparing to film.

Voiceplay Visuals: Drunken Sailor
Man I've been waiting to get to this one!
Drunken Sailor was uploaded on the 12th of August, 2023, and like the other pirate-themed video Voiceplay did akmost two years prior, it features Jose Rosario Jr! It also features Matthew Buckner (aka "Bucky") in an acting role, as the "drunken sailor" that Voiceplay sing about. "Bucky" used to be a vocalist in "4:2:Five" for a while (iirc), and he's good friends with Geoff, and even helped with the choreography for Geoff's Monster Mash video! Just like Hoist The Colours, both the arrangement and video were done by Geoff (who also wrote an original bridge for the song! (genius that he is)), and he also co-directed the video (with Tony), and worked together with Eli on lighting design. This might be one of those posts where I get close to the picture-upload-maximum and have to start counting them just in case, but still, it would be for good reason! So let's go!
Tumblr media
Group shot! Shoutout to Pattycake Productions for the set design!
I'm not sure if any of the group are wearing any of the same clothing pieces they wore in Hoist The Colours (I did a brief bit of visual comparison), but Jose, acting as the captain of this "ragtag motley crew" once more, is pretty close.
Also, Geoff is going with the bare-shoulders look again (we always stan), but so is Cesar! (Good For Him)
Tumblr media
Not even 10 seconds in and I've already found a funnier-than-first-expected/realized screencap! I'm not sure whose face I love more here - Layne's or Geoff's 😂😂
Tumblr media
Obligatory comment that Geoff was absolutely serving looks in this video! The subtle "guyliner" plus the light stubble and the black sleeveless shirt/tunic? I freaking live for it 👀👌
Tumblr media
Jose staring right down the camera, and Cesar giving 110% as per usual 😄
Tumblr media
Pfft XD
Tumblr media
Crazy Eyes Layne back again! 😆
Also look at Eli's face! He's terrified by the story that Layne is 'telling'!
Tumblr media
"I'll have that!" (also notice that when Layne makes the whale "eat"/bite the boat, Eli covers his head with his hands in distress! The Lore! The Lore!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
PFFFT, if looks could kill! 🤣 (and the fact that he's still beatboxing the whole time really makes this 👌)
Voiceplay said in the comments (in a reply to someone) that "there were a few different takes of this shot, and this was the one where it looked the MOST like Layne was gonna burst into flame." I think they nailed it 😝😁
Tumblr media
"Stick him in a scupper with a hosepipe bottom!"
Firstly, it sounds at least like Cesar is singing "hosepipe bottom", but the original line is "hosepipe on him". And despite what Cesar is implying with the wooden toilet seat, the line has nothing to do with toilets or bathrooms. A "scupper" is "an opening in the side walls of a vessel or an open-air structure, which allows water to drain instead of pooling" (according to Wikipedia). Ships have scuppers at deck-level, to allow for rainwater and/or seawater to drain off. So basically the line about "stick him in the scupper with a hosepipe on him" is about spraying the drunken sailor in question with a hose[pipe] (to try to sober him up with a dousing of cold water), in a part of the ship where the water can easily drain away afterwards.
Tumblr media
"ew I can't believe I just touched that!"
Tumblr media
Yes, that doll is definitely creepy, and I have no clue where Geoff got it from or what gave him the idea, but, according to Geoff in the comments section (comment from Voiceplay's channel, but it was almost definitely him who wrote it): "Her name is Clara and SHE HAS FEELINGS!" 😅
Also, the line "put him in the bed with the captain's daughter" probably isn't actually meant to be taken literally either. The main consensus that I've seen online is that "the captain's daughter" actually referred to a cat-'o'-nine-tails whip. (Not talking about the vocals or arrangement, I'm talking about song background/context! Which I've done before!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
EAR-LY IN THE M O O R R R N I I N N G G G
Tumblr media
*YEET*
Tumblr media
"Hey that's my cup!" (rip Eli)
Tumblr media
Hey look it's the screencap my profile pic comes from! (And for good reason - Geoff is positively unhinged and Cesar's reaction is priceless 🤣)
Also apparently Geoff holding a wooden spoon while singing "I'm gonna carve his heart out" is a reference to the 1991 movie Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves. "Why a spoon, cousin? Why not an axe?" "Because it's dull, you twit. It'll hurt more!"
Tumblr media
"And we should make him listen to Voiceplay while we do it!" "You... are a monster"
(I freaking died laughing first time I watched this bit, also look at Eli's smug grin! 😂)
Tumblr media
Have I mentioned that he's gorgeous and I love him?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This video is really just pure unbridled/chaotic fun. It's the best 😁
Tumblr media
Cesar twerking! Get it!
Tumblr media
It took me an embarassingly long time to release that Geoff isn't actually sitting down in this shot here; he's kneeling instead 😅
Also note that while Layne, Eli, Cesar, and Geoff all freeze into place (in what is apparently sometimes known as a "tableau shot", Jose doesn't, instead doing a little bit of fourth-wall-breaking to give the audience a lighthearted half-shrug 😄
And no, I haven't forgotten the "bonus scene"!
Tumblr media
"HEY! Hey, I'm not drunk!"
Tumblr media
I'm just tired, because you simpletons been singing all night!"
(Also ayyy another Eli Eyebrow Raise!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Wey, hey, and up she rises. Wey, hey, and up she rises. Wey, hey, and UP she rises! Ear-ly in the morn... ONCE AGAIN!"
Aaaaand I've officially hit image limit! At least I did make some attempts to be conservative with screenshots! 😅
This cover is utterly fantastic - all the silliness of "Classic Voiceplay", with the serious skills and high-quality video production of "Modern Voiceplay"! The video is hilarious, the cover is ridiculously creative, and really it just highlights all of the things to love about each person in the video, visually/performance-wise and vocally!
Not many Voiceplay videos left for me to make posts about now, but there are certainly still ridiculously-amazing things to come, so stay tuned!

So for like 5 hours I was absolutely knocked out but I remember the odd dream I had and it was me being the captain of my own little ship, tied up in a chair by a magic mom accompanied by her mushroom child and then Brute
Tumblr media
They all looked less cookie and more human/monster like which ngl I loved my face probably said it all cause Pomegranate was almost immediately annoyed by my presence but none the less it was an experience and I just had to draw it
Not to mention like halfway through the dream PM and Brute sat down together and started playing around (well more like PM sat and started talking at random and Brute listened to the kid) then a game of pattycake started and my heart just melted I love it when I have heavy dreams sometimes

My Favorite PattyCake Productions song
Tumblr media
Around two weeks arrived final part of second season of Villains Lair.I loved full series but this one is my personal favorite. So I just wanna say that I love this song, costumes and everything around that. They brought Disney villains back to live.Captain and Tremaine are besties in this series (it's my opinion) and Hook respects her.But Hands, pardon,Hans is the opposite.Lady Tremaine was right when she said, being prince is not everything and you need to gain respect.
I decided to make some fanart because I had motivation and I loved it.It's not done yet but I thing you would like this.

Everyone who likes Disney Villains, listen up.
There's a really cool YouTube channel by the name of Pattycake Productions, that is currently producing a series called The Villains Lair.
It's about the disney villains getting revenge on their respective protagonists. Their lair is inside The Evil Queen's castle and they have a plan to work together (and at most tolerate each other) to achieve their individual goals at revenge.
Far better than any live action remake, the series has top notch costumes and actors that embody the villains to a T. From Dr. Facilier's charisma to Lady Tremaine's poise, they're spot on. Not to mention, the set design is great.
Of course, there's music galore. Can't have a bunch of villains without a few songs. The music slaps and the villain's voices are top tier.
Tensions arise between villains, interactions are fun, certain villains pose a threat to others. It has nearly everything that a Disney Villain lover wants.
If you're curious about which villains are included here's a small list.
The Evil Queen
Maleficent
Jafar
Frollo
Scar
Captain Hook
Yzma
Dr. Facilier
And there's more!
Now with all that said, if this seems like something that interests you, consider watching the series and the first episode, it's a fun ride.

@captain-pattycakes [x]
Patty disappearing for so long had her worried. She had shared that worry with Yuri, once it was nighttime and Patty still hadn’t come back, and the two of them left the inn and split up to look for the little pirate.
A glance around, pausing and gasping when she saw the familiar hat. Though the sky was dark, the barrier and the lux blastia around her allowed her to see past the oddly stained hat and the pirate that was a little further away. Breath caught in her throat, Estelle hurried over to the other and knelt down.
Tumblr media
“It, it was nighttime already, and you still hadn’t come back, so Yuri and I got worried...” But now was not the time for that. She bit her lip. “We should... get you back to the inn and... get you cleaned up so I can heal you. Um... can you stand? Or, should I carry you...?”

What Goes Around Comes Around (Villains Lair) — PattyCake Productions music video
youtube
Through the first two years of their "Unexpected Musicals" series, PattyCake had accumulated quite a roster of Disney villains. So when they decided to start writing original music for their next video series, they convened a meeting of their existing baddies and invited a few more for good measure.
Details:
title: Villains Lair — s.1, ep.1 — What Goes Around Comes Around
performers: Michelle Knight (Evil Queen / featured vocals); Alejandra Martinez (Maleficent); Jaimz Dillman (Queen of Hearts); Helaina Wize (Mother Goethel); Navid Nowakhtar (Jafar); Andrea Stack Dunn (Lady Tremaine / featured vocals); Tiffany Trilli (Cruella De Vil / featured vocals); T. Robert Pigott (Captain Hook / featured vocals); Chris Ross (Dr. Facilier / featured vocals); Olivia Adkins (Snow White); Jason Tibbs (Prince Charming); Hannah Juliano, Randi Solomon, Martin Roberts, Tony Wakim, & Layne Stein (featured vocals)
written & arranged by: Tony Wakim & Layne Stein
release date: 12 November 2018
My favorite bits:
the intro narration beginning with "Once Upon an Ever After" 😉
that anxious heartbeat percussion line
Michelle increasing the frustration and grit in her voice as the Evil Queen watches "Snow Spears" flashbacks
each character being introduced in a way that reflects their personalities
the dramatic bass hits and drum cadence under Facilier's speech
passing the spell rhyme from villain to villain as they add components to the cauldron
the Queen of Hearts stomping across the floor in time with the music to ramp up tension before the key change
that fantastic final belt from the Evil Queen backed by lush harmonies that devolve into rhythmic laughter
Tony being offended that Layne even has to ask which villain is his favorite
surprise Ursula!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Trivia:
Jaimz had previously appeared in PattyCake's first two Halloween videos as Mary Sanderson from Hocus Pocus.
Alejandra originally played Maleficent in VoicePlay's video for their cover of "Once Upon a Dream" four years earlier.
This video was filmed in a rented warehouse space with broken air conditioning (in the Florida summer heat, no less). During the long overnight shoot, the cast were able to cool off in the walk-in refrigerator of the florist next door.
Tumblr media
The song was partly inspired by "In the Dark of the Night" from Anastasia (1997).
Building the new set was a family affair, achieved with a team including Layne's step-daughters and Jaimz's daughter.
