Who are your favorite characters?

If we're talking strictly about HP, Severus Snape, Harry Potter, and Sirius Black in that order. Severus is my favorite literary character because he brings duality and a discussion about atonement and redemption. I also really like the Black sisters and the Black family in general. They bring me the same energy as the Targaryens, and if J.K.R. wanted to explore more about wizarding families (something she doesn't seem to want to do) or in the hands of another author, we could have some amazing stories about them.

If we expand my favorite characters to other universes, I really like Percy Jackson. He's just as sassy as Harry and the first-person story brings an engaging perspective that the Harry Potter series sometimes lacks. I also like Suzannah Simon from the Twilight book by Meg Cabot. I loved the series. I've never reread it as an adult because I think I would lose the magic since I read the books in school.

I like Capitu from the book Dom Casmurro by Machado de Assis and Dr. Bacamarte from the book The Alienist by the same author. Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice. I also like the character Raskolnikov from Crime and Punishment and all the discussions he brings up. I have a law degree and many of the philosophical discussions in the book were part of my reality in college.
