SPOILERS!!!
I will say that Capitano rotting is questionable imo lore-wise considering that Pierro is a literal khaenrian mage who looks mostly normal and is probably older, and that Dottore does what he does being a doctor and all, that literally no one was able to prevent the physical degradation of the strongest harbinger. But all of it did give me an idea a kind of reverse Eros and Psyche myth.
Now that we know Capitano is a decaying beneath his armor imagine that you are a prodigious healer, and whether the fatui has kidnapped you to help him, or a member the house of the hearth who Arlecchino offers to tend to him, you become his dedicated healer who he falls in love with. You tend to him daily and in your healing sessions you've managed to slow and even regenerate some of his cells. You talk endlessly with each other as you treat him, learning all about his past. You don't even flinch when he exposes parts of necrotic tissue. From the first session you smile at him as if he is any other man, not a rotting abomination. Still he refuses to show you his face, but he checks the incredibly slow progress of his regeneration daily, waiting for the day when he can reveal himself to you. It's silly he thinks, he has no fears, but the thought of your rejection terrifies him.
You have been his diligent nurse for years, and there has always been an attraction on your end, but Capitano keeps a boundary up when you try to become closer to him. Physically at least, emotionally he's shared all, and you are his most trusted confidant. He's become so comfortable with you that he'll even let you tend to him in his sleep.
However, as your love for Capitano grows you can't resist the urge to unmask him during one of your night sessions. You can't really figure out how to get the mask off so instead, you carefully bring a nearby candle close to his face to illuminate the near magic darkness that enshrouds his features.
The first thought was that it wasn't that bad. The skin on his face his is blackened with corruption, warping the muscle tissue. But the 'rot' that you had seen on his body was far more advanced in its decay when you had started treatment.
You admire the features that remain, unfazed by the molted and peeling flesh. You become so lost in seeing him, that you don't notice as a drip of wax falls onto his gaunt cheek bone.
Capitano startles awake. It takes him only a second to realize what you'd done, he bats the candle out of your hand now leaving the tent in total darkness.
"How could you!?" He growls, ashamed. He rises to his feet and in his clambering his mask falls off entirely.
Calmly, you place your hands on his chest, you feel his heart beating wildly under you palm while the other snakes up to his jaw. Wordlessly you rise on your toes and place a chaste his on his lips.
You can't see the confusion on his face, but you smile regardless. Only saying, "I've waited so long to do that."

hi all!!! i realize i've been gone for a while so just an update on the status of this blog...
to be completely honest I haven't played genshin in like. over a year maybe. haven't touched any of that french stuff i dunno what a orafice mechanic danielese cartwheel is none of that
so this blog will be going into a long hiatus like its been in for a while. i dunno when i'll go back to playing genshin, i've had problems with their choices of representation and character design for a while now + intense burnout from gameplay and the recent natlan stuff was the nail in the coffin for me. unless hoyoverse listens to criticism and adjusts the game accordingly i have no interest in playing. not even for capitano. i am honestly expecting that man to unmask and be the most clean shaven baby faced glowing wriothesely neuvillette steven universe fusion that blinds all who look at his pale skin like that bald dude from the spongebob movie (if he turns out to be the complete opposite you may throw tomatos at me)
so enjoy these few last badly drawn comics, thank you all for the extremely nice comments and support you've given this account and i hope i was able to make you laugh maybe once or exhale through your nose perhaps even giggle and shit
maybe i'll be back in the future (?) but until then farewell <3

The Laws Of Thermodynamics
Type: One Shot
Relationship: CapitanoxMavuika
Word count: 1,925
Summary: Mavuika, in her tired state has a lapse of judgement, leading her to discover what Capitano looks like under the mask.
—————————————-
Unlike many assumed, Capitano required sleep like any other human did, and just like them, he preferred to be comfortable while he did so. Only, he waited until there was little chance for him to be disturbed, and frequently went without it for long periods of time.
He sat his mask on a nearby table, the hair that was once pushed out of the way, clung to his face. His gaze lingered on a small mirror before placing it face down, his actions were quiet, routine. Uncaring, yet careful. Slowly he removed his gauntlets, then his top. The burn Mavuika had managed to land on him was almost healed completely, soon to be just another scar, added to his canvas of many.
It was a hot night in Natlan, sweat beaded on his forehead and chest, illuminated by candlelight. It might not have affected him as much as it might his men, but the cool breeze that filtered through his tent was still a welcome one. He was about to continue undressing, when suddenly he tensed at the sound of dirt shuffling outside. The footsteps were more human than Saurian, he stayed still, looking over his shoulder to where the fabric was tied together. His eyes narrowed at the familiar silhouette of a woman.
“Mavuika.” His voice rumbled, addressing the woman and breaking the silence of the night. Instinctively he reached for his mask, eager to remain unseen, but for once, he hesitated. His hand barely hovered over it before dropping to his side again. His brows furrowed, perplexed by his own actions.“It’s late, what are you doing out here?” He would send her back, and then he wouldn’t have to worry.
"Captain.” She replied, crossing her arms. A certain tiredness laced her voice, akin to the dying embers of a campfire. “I needed to speak to you.”
“And it could not wait until waking hours?” He ran his fingers through his hair, mildly frustrated, wishing he could finally sleep. Had it been any of his men, he would’ve dismissed them sharply, they knew better than to disturb him. But he found himself unable to do the same to her.
“Unfortunately, no.” She paused. “It involves the Lord of the Night, and the Abyss. Things I do not want to be overheard.” Capitano hummed in acknowledgement, but before he could reply, the unexpected happened. Another set of footsteps approached, and without thinking, Mavuika dipped into his tent.
She didn’t know what she was thinking, maybe it was the lack of sleep, or the weight of the last few days that influenced her stupid decision to pull back the tent’s entrance. But she knew that being seen in the middle of the night outside the First Fatui Harbinger’s tent would be more trouble than it was worth.
The last thing she expected was to come face to face with the unmasked Captain. As for a moment, she had forgotten a face laid under the mask, that the Harbinger was a human, not some monster. She was not immune to assumptions, the Captain was nothing under all the clothes, he was inhuman, he didn’t require basic human necessities. But as her wide eyes matched his own, she realized her mistake.
Capitano turned around, his face wrapped in the shadows, hidden from her. Unfortunately, it was impossible to hide his damaged arms and torso as quickly. “What are you doing?” he practically growled at her.
“Quiet.” She hissed, the footsteps were growing closer, and she hadn’t quite processed what had just happened, more focused on the prospect of being caught. He almost fought back, until he heard them himself. His fists clenched.
“Get down.” There was no room for argument in his voice. She had no other choice but to obey, crouching on the ground next to what was most likely his bed. Capitano watched carefully as the silhouette of Ororon walked by. It seemed that no matter how much trouble the kid got in, he lingered by his side. Mavuika took note to ground the boy later.
“He is gone.” Capitano muttered, taking a deep breath, a poor attempt at refocusing. All he had to do was kick her out, and forget she had ever seen him. But it seemed that whenever he wished to turn her away, she interrupted.
“It isn’t that bad, by the way.” Mavuika began, brushing the dirt off her knees. “I know plenty of people who’d still like a piece of you, maybe even more so now.” she mumbled the last part, unable to hold back a smirk. She had met a few people in her years with…interesting tastes to say the least, but for once, she understood them.
“What?”
“Your face.” She elaborated, her back was turned from him, assuring he was out of her sight. With how much she had screwed up, it was the least she could do. “It isn’t as,” she hesitated. “Gross as you had made it out to be.” Capitano looked at her, her hair matching the flame that burned nearby. At first, he was quiet.
“You are mistaken.” he huffed.
“Ever consider that you were the one mistaken?” Her words were like drawn arrows, quick to hit their target. Capitano furrowed his brow as she sat on the edge of his bed, facing the very place she had so boldly entered before. He had calculated her actions time and time again, but with her, he found them falling short of the true answer. She was as predictable as the flames she represented. It both relieved and irked him.
“You’re wrong.” He reiterated, unsure as to why he hadn’t told her to leave yet. He felt possessed, his body acting before he had the chance to think it through. A moth to a flame, his feet led him forward until he was towering over her, his callused hand gently grasping her chin, directing her gaze to his. “Look at me, and tell me you’re wrong.”
Capitano would regret his actions, adding them to the internal list he read like a bedtime story before he could go to sleep. But he was so cold, and she was so warm, like ice he melted in the palm of her hands. He found himself begging for a reason to hate her, to push her away. It had been centuries since someone had seen him like she had, and though he would never admit it, he was terrified.
But she couldn’t tell him she was wrong, because it wasn’t true, even if it were, Mavuika would stay loyal to her words, not afraid to fight for her cause. She looked at him closer, noting his soft frown and long lashes. He looked at her like a stray dog, afraid of the same thing he craved.
Most of his face had been devoured by the curse that plagued his blood. Unrecognizable, yet, she could see the outline of handsome features, a phantom of his past. His jawline was sharp, his eyes glowed a striking blue. Her hand reached out, brushing up against his face as if she were inspecting thin glass. It was unlikely he would give her this chance twice, she had to make the most of it.
The corrupted skin wasn’t pleasant to touch, nor was it particularly appealing to look at. Nevertheless, it wasn’t enough to take back her words. The moon was a muse for many, its surface bruised and scarred. Yet, books of poetry had been dedicated to praising its quiet beauty.
To all others, the Captain’s humanity could be questioned, but so could her own. Both of their identities stripped away with the passage of time, the humanity they clung to, pried out of their stubborn hands.
Mavuika’s thumb rested on his chin when she had finished memorizing every inch, not quite ready to pull away. Capitano looked at her through stray strands of his hair, pleading for her to tell him what he wished to hear. Instead, she simply tucked the raven pieces behind his deformed ear, and held his cheek.
“We are no gods, Captain. Even if we were, no god could have stopped what happened.” Her words seared into his tender flesh. “We cannot let the Abyss drown us like it has our homelands. You cannot spend every moment wading in regret, do not let it push you to make decisions you would not make. That is all I ask of you.”
Capitano’s breath was hot against her skin as he stared at her intently, feasting on every word she spoke as if he had been starved. His hands rested beside her, caging her in. He could find no reason to hate her, it tormented him. She had made him soft. “You do not understand.” He hissed. Her eyes seared into his.
“Fight for what we have left, Captain. You have no right to take away my people's identities because it would bandage your torn heart. I will not allow it.” Mavuika meant it, Natlan was worth more than his pity. He had stroked her temper in the wrong way, anymore, and his tent would be ash.
“Anything is better than their lives lost.” He fought back.
“No it isn’t. What is the point of living if there is nothing to remember?” The grip on his face tightened. “The heroes you fought with, the very thing driving you to fight for my people, would be lost forever. For the First of the Fatui, you sure like the idea of taking the easy way out. I thought better of the man, whose strength was enough to rival my own.” Her words cut into his pride like hot iron. He snarled.
“You know nothing.” The words infuriated the woman before him.
“Then explain it to me.” Capitano, for the second time that night, hesitated. He had lost this battle, his second defeat stung worse than the first.
“I cannot.” Her grip on him loosened before her hands fell to her lap. Capitano despised the way it lingered, how he found himself missing her touch, her fingers much softer than his own. He stood up, creating the much-needed distance between them.
“Then trust me.” The wind blew harder outside, emotions foreign and familiar swirled within him. He made a disgruntled noise, unsure of the right response.
“I will consider it.” He picked up his mask, caressing the chilled metal, a reminder of everything. After a moment of contemplation, he sat it back down and turned to where she was now standing. “You are terribly stubborn, and it is most irritating.” He grumbled softly.
Mavuika burst out laughing. “All that, and that is the only thing you have left to say? You perplex me, Captain.” He found himself lucky the only candle had eaten through most of its wick, the dim light aided him in hiding his slightly flustered expression.
“You should get home, it is late.” He mumbled, the bags under Mavuika’s eyes were more than noticeable, his own indistinguishable from the dark veins that laid there.
“I had other things I wished to discuss with you, before you distracted me.” Capitano scoffed.
“It was the other way around.”
“A lot of things depend on perspective, Captain.” He wondered how long she would persist. He prepared to spar the subject, but to his shock, she was already beside the exit, her hand had pushed the fabric aside, exposing the moon. “Meet me tomorrow.” Her voice grew fainter as she left him in the dark, the fabric rustled behind her. “Goodnight.” Was barely a whisper, and suddenly it was cold again.

For some people, words are just sounds thrown to the wind, pledges are just unimportant lies, and truth mingles with lies in a thread that will either hold you still or get you down faster. For some people, words are nothing but means for an end, and their lack of truth will not disturb them by any means. Some of his colleagues are exactly like that, twisting their tongue into lies and tuts hardly separated from one another, the process of unmasking it boresome and unnecessary depending on who they are talking about. And even if the Tsaritsa decides to surround herself with twisted tongues, even if Pierro ignores these people’s character on behalf of their usefulness, Capitano will remain the very same person he was five hundred years ago.
Back then, his skin wasn’t rotten, and his mind wasn’t perturbated by horrors no one should have had to face. The only thing he clings to is the truth coming from his tongue, the honor within his blood, the chivalric code he grew up worshipping instead of a god. Eternity is a curse for someone like him, and thus, he must ground himself with some sort of sense of duty, else he goes as insane as the others.
The pact made with the Pyro Archon is yet another example of his own stubbornness in following alongside his morals. What are you when stripped bare of the only thing that keeps you human? Skin, shape, it says nothing of you, for there are monsters wearing all kinds of clothing. His flesh might as well be decaying, but the same will never be said about his memories, about his vows to himself. He might as well be found dead before breaking a promise. Mavuika made a great job of convincing him out of his plans, showing a different kind of approach to a common enemy, one that is dangerous and will put her right in the clutches of the Heavenly Principles, one that will turn her into a bright flame for a moment before it fades for eternity, and he, mesmerized by the glow of her light, can only come to terms with her choice.
Helping the future at the cost of the past is not Natlan’s way to go, apparently, but Mavuika is agreeable to turn herself to the less favorable plan if only to keep her people alive. Listening to such a claim coming from the people itself also made things harder for his stubbornness. Any kind of human being is able to ponder, understand, and evolve, so it comes without surprise that he decided to give up his own ideals of saving Natlan on behalf of fighting with the descendants of his friends instead of going against them. Which in turn brings him to the outcome of his choices.
“The Pyro Archon has never been a god after the very first one,” chides him against her leisure-like demeanor. Yes, he knows she has more things to do. And that’s exactly why the clawed gauntlets adorning his fingers are so careful as they press antibiotics over a tanned skin, much softer than his own if he were to ever remove his gloves to feel it. Mavuika would likely be disgusted by what’s hidden underneath the heavy layers of Snezhnayan attire, and so, he keeps this to himself. Nothing new, just strangely… stingy. Ignoring the weird way his chest reacts to the thought of Mavuika’s displeasure, clear blue eyes focus on the wound instead.
It isn’t big, however although it seems rather simple, the wound is deep. Every press on it should remind her of it, the muscle cut likely near a tendon, making movement more difficult. The Captain is no healer, sadly, but he is fairly versed in patching himself, and this will go until they get around someone that can make the flesh patches itself back together. “You possess great power and wisdom to use it,” commends him once more, never short of praises for this woman, “but do remember of your own mortality when the high of battle settles.” Capitano is a fighter himself, and has traded blows with her not long ago, so it may be weird to be taken care of by yesterday’s enemy. That kind of uncomfortable he would understand. However, whenever his eyes meet the fire within hers, the sun gazing down at the sea, he can’t help but find her enjoying this situation. How long has it been since someone took care of her as a person, not as a god? Such a weird thought coming from someone like him, who serves the frozen tempests, yet finds himself so very captivated by the glory of the sun.
When Mavuika finally settles into her destiny, once again relaxing in his hold, the leather of his gloves meets the skin of her bicep, eyes focused on the cut. Capitano then rummages through a box with a first aid kit, so much gentleness withing such large fingers. He’s a towering figure when they are standing side by side, but now, with Mavuika sitting as he patches her skin back together, she seems so much smaller. Confident, naturally, but in a sort of predicament stressing the vulnerability he didn’t know would attract him so much. Instead of paying attention to the gentleness of her breaths, the pulsation within her veins, the warmth radiating from her, which he can feel even through so many layers, Capitano gently digs the nail around to accomplish the sewing process he had begun. He’s tender, careful in a way he’s not with himself. It’s not because he doesn’t think that she can’t take it— if he were to put it into words, maybe he would say that he wished she didn’t need to withstand it in the first place.
“Your own welfare should not be taken as insignificant.” Whilst it is a phrase that comes out much more like a definitive sentence, not giving room for discussion, his voice is soft on the edges. Stern, chiding, but respectful and concerned. When his job is done, the cold of his clawed gauntlets brushes around the cut, blue eyes verifying the quality of his work. Then these same clawed gauntlets run up her shoulder, taking a lock of vibrant red hair between them, tucking it behind her back. “A leader’s duty also consists in caring for themselves. You should see a proper healer.”

thinking about the connections people are making with capitano and his commedia dell'arte counterpart and the theorycrafting going on because of it. my thoughts is that capitano isn't necessarily weak physically, and he likely hasn't ever been (that happened to his brother instead). rather, instead he has personal weaknesses.
the most important to him being his unmasked appearance, which he guards fiercely, even with his life if he has to. nobody but pierro and dottore have seen his reigned-in, human form after he escaped the abyss, and he at least trusts them enough to not let anybody else know about it. if you become his partner, he is going to have the utmost trust in you if he shows you how he looks.
next is his abyssal taint. his outfit in general, especially his helmet, does a good job at hiding the fact that a good portion of his strength comes from being touched by the abyss-not all of it, but a good chunk. he did spend a long, long time in there after all. most, like varka, would assume he's simply a very strong human, save for those with a sensitivity to the abyss (such as childe). capitano also guards this secret with his life, because though there are others like him among the harbingers, he...actually doesn't want to be isolated from others more than he already is.
there are other things, such as his mixed ancestry, origins, and past as the bloodstained knight, but for the most part its these two that cap keeps as close to himself as he possibly can and away from anyone who might take advantage of those facets of him.

Drama Criteria A Commedia Dell'arte
Historical and Cultural context
Historical and Cultural context
Character types
Character types
The physicality I used to portray the character, Pantalone, was to be hunched over and with strong footsteps as well as having my fingers together. I used this physicality to portray how old pantalone is as well as his old attitudes, i also wanted to portray Pantalone’s greed and cunning, and his obsession with money.
Il Capitano
I researched detailed information about Il Capitano and discovered that his origin is Spanish, and his status or social class is often a loner due to him being a foreigner. His character is a pretentious coward, he represents an arrogant boaster who always claims to success and fortune, however he is always found to be a coward. As for his physicality, his stance includes a high posture, straight back and pushed out chest (occupying as much space as possible), his animal characteristics are a hunting dog and a peacock. His walk is described as a mountain walk (heel to toe) and his gestures are extravagant and sustained, and some of his poses include standing at attention, and hands on hips with chest out. His vocal characteristics include having a Catalan accent as well as being very loud and deep, basso profundo, however when he is frightened his voice goes very high pitched. His costume consists of, a military esque uniform from the 1500’s, he often wears a feathered helmet or hat, lots of ruffles a long sword and a neck ruff. The characteristics of his mask include, having a very long nose; originally his mask was coloured very flamboyantly with bright colours however modernly it is coloured in a flesh tone. Capitano’s signature prop is a very comical long sword that is too long to use and he can never manage to use it due to its length. His relationship to the audience includes his awareness of their presence and often acknowledges them and salutes them so that he is admired. His stage function is to be unmasked, meaning that during all of his sketched he always ends up being exposed as a coward or a liar, and stripped of excess confidence.
Lazzi and performances
In Commedia dell’arte, the Lazzi is essentially the rehearsed stock joke or punchline that is included to ensure the comical ending of the sketch due to the improvisation aspect of the plays. Some of the Lazzi’s that I used in my performance included my sketch with Sophia, as Pantalone and Il dottore. Our sketch was about pantalone trying to convince Il Dottore to marry his daughter, Isabella. Il Dottore refuses however he offers a condition, he will marry Isabella if Pantalone offers him a dowry of 1 million billion million billion etc dollars. This was the Lazzi of our sketch as it is a very exaggerated amount of money and it also illustrates Il Dottores lack of knowledge about money, even though he pretends otherwise. Some of the Lazzi’s I saw in other groups was in Julia and Kanta’s performance with Il Capitano and Brighella. Their sketch was includes Kanta, as Il Capitano telling Brighella lots of impressive stories about how he fought against lions and dragons etc. Then Brighella tells Il Capitano that she has to tell him something but that it is really scary, he says he can handle it then she says boo, and Il Capitano screams. This is the Lazzi as it masks Il Capitano as a confident military man and reveals him as a coward. Another group that I made TEAM notes for was Olivia and Molly, I found that the tension between characters was evident from the beginning, as immediately you could tell which character they were because of their physicality. Additionally the tension between the characters and Molly’s uninterest and disengagement with Olivia trying to impress her. I also thought that both of their commitments to the character depicted their emotion really clearly, as Olivia was very energetic and persistent to showing off her skills, and Molly maintained her uninterest throughout which illustrated their emotions and goals as characters. The atmosphere of their performance was evident as the dance scene, had a very comical atmosphere due to their exaggerated physicality. I think both Olivia and Molly clearly showed the meaning of the piece due to their commitment to the character and how their emotion and goals as characters maintained the same and were clear throughout the play.
Modern Comedy inspired by Commedia Dell’ArteTo conclude, Commedia dell’arte has had a massive impact on how comedy is created and the characters used in comedy. Influences from Commedia are constantly used in comedy, one example of this is how we now consider the Commedia stock characters as stereotypes. Stereotypes are constantly used, and not only in comedy, they allow the viewer to get a generalised idea of a character as a shallow person that everyone can recognise. Some examples of how these stock characters have been used in comedies are: Manuel from Fawlty Towers as the zanni, and Basil as Brighella, Edmund Blackadder is also Brighella, and Baldrick as arlecchino, Jasmine and Aladdin are examples of the lovers, Kronk from Emperor's new groove is arlecchino, Gilderoy Lockhart from Harry Potter as Il Capitano, Columbia as Colombina from The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and many more. The Marx Brothers, Monty Python, Mr Punch and Mr Bean have all also been known to include stock characters from Commedia dell’arte. Many aspects other than stock characters have also been incorporated into modern use, for example the idea of physical comedy can be traced back to commedia. Many comedies use exaggerated or silly physicality as the joke or funny aspect, this is evident in works such as Charlie Chaplin, Chevy Chase or The ministry of silly walks by Monty Python, the chocolate factory scene from I Love Lucy, or the Three Stooges. In addition, the use of the ‘lazzi’ is still commonly used, as it allows for a scheduled comedic moment. In general, it is undeniable that modern comedy is constantly turning back to the origins of Commedia dell’arte due to its classic timeless comedic aspects.

This is the part you want to see. Mudan and Erica were walking down the road until they were attacked by a creature that looked like a wolf. They were split up. Mudan was stuck inside a dead end. Erica was stuck inside a cave.
The fatui harbingers are in a meeting . They are discussing mysterious occurrences in snezhnaya. Dottore brings up that there are plants growing around the rivers. Pantalone said that plants those plants are medicinal. A fatui member comes in and says that they were reports of beautiful women. They say one of them describes that of an inazuman noble woman , another describes a woman who looks like they come from liyue. While they were talking. As they came from the discoution, Capitano said that he would investigate the rumors.
Capitano asked for an agent to come with him to the places were these reports were coming from. As they were on the road they saw to women Capitano and the agent saw two women running for their lives against a group of wild beasts. Capitano ordered the agent to follow the other one cause they both looked like one of the women in the described report. Mudan was worried about dying cause without Erica she cannot activate her powers to escape. The beasts were about to attack her were killed in a single cut by a masked man. Mudan thanked him and asked him if he wanted help. Mudan felt love at first sight. She looked at him and felt like something familiar. She felt like that he was a general that came to the emperor and proved her that she did not commit the crime but the emperor did not believe him. The emperor did exiled her instead of execution. She did not remember his face. Capitano then said they were mysterious reports of women appearing nearby. Mudan told him that she came from a portal and came and was lost with her friend Erica. They were suddenly attacked by a those creatures. She said that something about him felt familiar. She told him that while she was walking back to the road before they split up. Capitano in his mind felt that she looked familiar to him. Capitano started to feel a warm feeling inside him that started to thaw his frozen heart.
The Agent killed the beasts. Erica thanked him and asked if he needed help. Erica told Mudan's story from her POV while walking back. Erica then explains what she is she is a group known as the Rikka. They are spirits of snow and ice that are not dangerous. We are known for making abnormal but harmless to beneficial effects on the land. She explained that she and her friend were lesser fairies meaning we cannot activate powers without each other. Erica told them about the three queens Teardrop the one that can heal the land,Kanzashi she brings nature to cold and barren lands where ever she goes and finally strenna she brings good fortune to area by give wreaths to an area. They about them as they met up with the other two. She was happy to be see each other. Erica told them that they can meet again here. To know that she gave the agent a small whistle.
The Agent then gave the info to Capitano.
This happens a few weeks later. Erica meet up with the agent and he trusted her to finally let him show her his face. Erica finally recognized him as a second in command to the general that prevented her bestie's and her death. Erica told her that she reminds her of someone who saved her life in a past life. They both talked about how her best friend and his boss are both in love with each other. The agent knew about this cause Capitano told him about it cause he knows about those to close enough. Erica told him about the plan to finally get these two to date. After the talk they go on their separate ways. Capitano meet Mudan at an area. Erica was Mudan's wingman and Mudan finally told her that she is in love with him. The agent was Capitano's wingman. He watched from a tree and he saw those two finally confess their love he fell out of the tree only to fall on top of Erica. Capitano unmasked himself where you can see his mouth and kissed Mudan. Capitano put the mask back on. Erica told the agent how she felt that she loved him. He told her that he felt the same and he removed a bit of his mask to the point that you can see his mouth and kissed. Mudan and Capitano checked out to about the loud noise and saw those two kissing. Erika saw those two see her in this position embarrassed she covered her face. Mudan did the same thinking what they were going to do. The agent puts the mask back on and said sorry to his boss. His boss was not angry just asked him if he wanted to do that do it in a more private area. Erica asked Mudan that they should go know Mudan said goodbye to Capitano. Then those two left.
I am going to do Childe tomorrow.

Speaking of masks… i agree so hard. capitano deserves to have the mask on 24/7 esp while he’s pounding you until you’re squealing. have you seen all the art of him with a long, monstrous tongue? that stuff is so fucking good; capitano with huge muscles, a massive 8 foot tall stature, and a long, slimy tongue is my bread and butter… huge monster capitano for the win hehe
#love sex where one person is fully clothed and the other is completely naked#hot power imbalance#that with capitano… <3#chats#spicy#rosieoppai

Very interesting analysis. Some lines definitely stand out to me, such as
Columbina being the sensible one/common sense character
Scaramouche using or being helped by the audience
Capitano being unmasked
Harbinger Names and Commedia Dell'arte Analysis
The names for the various Fatui Harbingers stem from an early form of professional theater originating in Italy known as the commedia dell’arte. The commedia dell’arte made use of various stock characters that were given names. These stock characters are where the Fatui Harbingers get their names from. What’s interesting is seeing how these stock characters interact with each other and how they might give us indicators as to the character and story of the Harbingers. I’ll analyze the Harbingers in the known order and save the question mark order Harbingers for the last. The analysis is under the cut and (fair warning) it's pretty long.
Starting with rank 1, we have Pierro, code-name The Jester. His name, Pierro, comes from the French stock character Pierrot, which is actually a rather interesting character for the play. Pierrot is a sad clown who pines for another stock character, Columbina. The Pierrot typically ends up heartbroken since the Columbina character often ends up with the Harlequin (Arlecchino) character. The Pierrot is related to a different, Italian, stock character called the Pedrolino. Pedrolino is not a sad character but rather a character who works to move the plot along. He might do this by helping or hindering the lovers (the Innamorati) who are the main characters of the play. The Pedrolino is also more cunning than the Pierrot and works as a sort of engine for the story. The Pedrolino also frequently has the La Signora character as a lover. Interestingly, both the Pierrot and the Pedrolino stand out from other stock characters as not being masked. Judging from this, Pierro is probably incredibly important to the Harbinger subplot or the Tsaristas' plans.
Rank 2, the infamous Il Dottore, code-named The Doctor. The stock character Il Dottore, is typically an obstacle to the lovers (Innamorati) and thus an antagonist. He is usually self-loving and greedy as well as an older man. Interestingly, the stock character of Il Dottore emerged as a foil to the stock character Pantalone. Il Dottore may be rich, but that typically depends on the needs of the plot. Nonetheless, he is usually an educated individual of some sort, such as a doctor. Il Dottore is meant to playfully parody the educated elite. He is often fond of girls, but dishonest and typically gets caught cheating frequently. In some cases the Il Dottore may be father to one of the lovers, usually the female, or the Columbina in some cases. Based on this I imagine Genshin’s Il Dottore will be connected to Pantalone in some sort of way, though how this may work remains unseen.
Rank 3, Columbina, code-name Damslette. The Columbina is actually a very important female servant stock character. She is sometimes the lover of the Harlequin(Arlecchino) character and wife/unrequited love to the Pierrot character. She might also be hounded by the Pantalone character. She is also more down to earth and sensible than other characters and, unlike other stock characters, may have several masks to confuse the Harlequin. The Columbina character’s main purpose is to aid her lady, the female lover, in gaining the affections of the male lover. It will be interesting to see how this Genshin character works out since her commedia dell’arte counterpart is the one sensible character of the play. She will possibly have a connection to Pierro (as the Pierrot/Pedrolino) and Arlecchino.
Rank 5, Pulcinella, code-name The Rooster. The Pulcinella character’s role changes depending on what part of the social class he is in, but either way he is an opportunistic old man. Though his main motivation is self-preservation he often ends up saving other characters which creates some interest for this character. Judging from Childe’s lines regarding the Genshin Pulcinella he lives up to taking care of others.
Rank 6, Scaramouche, code-name The Balladeer. The Scaramouche (or Scaramucchi) is an interesting stock character. He is always rather villainous and is often beaten by the Harlequin (Arlecchino) character due to his boasting and cowardice. Interestingly, He also sometimes influences the audience to do his bidding. Even though the Scaramouche character’s plotting and affinity for intrigue often gets him into trouble, he usually escapes scot-free and the blame ends up placed on someone else. An in-game example of this could be Scaramouche getting the gnosis from Inazuma and getting away scot-free while La Signora ended up dying. It’s also interesting that Genshin’s Scaramouche reflects the commedia dell'arte stock character’s ability to influence the audience when he tricks the traveler into a dangerous situation by manipulating their rage at their (and Teppei’s) situation. The only curiosity here is if he will lose to Arlecchino in some way.
Rank 8, La Signora, code-name The Fair Lady. The La Signora stock character occupies a very specific role. She may be a courtesan, but is typically the wife of the Pantalone character and lover of the Pedrolino character. She is characterized as tough, calculating, and beautiful though she is frequently overdressed. She often ridiculous others which typically leads to her getting in a fight with another female character much like how Genshin’s La Signora ended up fighting Raiden Shogun. The La Signora is more of a sexual character than the Columbina and often has an immediate attraction the the Il Capitano character due to him being a sort of male counterpart of her character.
Rank 9, Pantalone, code-name Regrator. The Pantalone character is actually quite important. He is the money of the play and is typically at the top of the social order. He typically has high regard for intelligence, but becomes the butt of quite a few jokes. That said he can, sometimes, be quite cunning. He is often the father of one of the lovers(Innamorati) and is, for plot reasons, driven to keep the lovers apart. If he is a single widower he hounds most every female character present, if he is married it is probably to the La Signora character. If there is an Il Dottore character present, the two often form a sort of duo. Perhaps as the parents of the lovers or just as the older males of the play. It will be interesting to learn if Genshin’s Pantalone had any relation to their La Signora.
Rank 11, Tartaglia, code-named Childe. The Tartaglia character is often rather dainty and has a stutter. He is a fairly common character and may even make up one part of the lovers. The Tartaglia character often represents the lower social class but sometimes comes from the middle or even upper social class. Genshin’s Childe may be portrayed as more sympathetic than the other Harbingers as a way of mirroring that the Tartaglia character isn’t necessarily bad and may even be one the lead characters as one of the lovers.
Rank ?, Il Capitano, code-named The Captain. Another very common stock character, the Il Capitano is a braggart who claims greatness because no one actually knows who he is, as he is typically a foreigner. The Il Capitano character is typically a coward who will run away from a fight and has trouble talking to and being around other men. The Il Capitano character may be hired by the Pantalone character to guard his daughter (the female part of the lovers). This often results in the Il Capitano character setting up a bidding war for his services between the suitor(s) and the Pantalone character while he goes about wooing the daughter himself. His primary purpose in the plot is to be ‘de-masked’ or stripped of all his confidence and shown in a moment of panic and humility. As such I imagine this character will likely be defeated or brought down in an incredibly brutal manner that may feature quite a bit of humiliation. However, Genshin’s Il Capitano may also be the opposite of what is seen in the commedia dell’arte since Childe’s voice line regarding Il Capitano implies he is very powerful. He may also end up working with (or for) Pantalone which could be interesting.
Rank ?, Sandrone, code-name Marionette. An interesting traditional character. The Sandrone is actually a male peasant who has a wife and child. These characters were originally presented as puppets. The Sandrone character himself is crude, clever, and cunning. He typically makes witty remarks through the play about city life or criticisms regarding officials. Sandrone’s accompanying creature/robot may be a tie-in to the fact that the commedia dell’arte Sandrone was part of a family and was once played by puppets.
Rank ?, Arlecchino, code-name the Knave. The Arlecchino, better known as the Harlequin, is probably the best known of all of these stock characters. The Arlecchino character is a light-hearted, nimbler servant who thwarts the plans of his master and pursues the Columbina. He often competes with the Pierrot character. The Arlecchino character is a sort of trickster and may even be a romantic hero. It will be interesting to see several things about Genshin’s Arlecchino. Will they be connected to Columbina? Will they compete with Pierro? And are they going to thwart their master (Tsaritsa)?
The only primary stock characters not portrayed in the Harbinger group are the Innamorati, or the lovers, who typically fill the lead roles. Everything about the play revolves around the lovers which makes it seem almost like in Genshin Impact the players would fill this role since the plot of the game revolves around the Traveler. The only problem here is that the player can only fill one part of the role leaving the other side empty. Admittedly, since the Tartaglia character does sometimes sub as the male lover it could be argued that only one lover is needed, but this is only if Childe is filling that role and he may not be. Another option is that two NPCs may appear in Snezhnaya and fulfill these roles, or that the Tsaritsa will fill one role and there will be someone else to be her counterpart. However, the Innamorati are often aware of the audience's presence which does complicate matters. This again points toward the Traveler, but does not seal the deal. Either way, it will be interesting to see how the Genshin Impact writers make use of the potential connections between the Harbingers and the commedia dell’arte stock characters.
