Art for the @cap-ironman RBB! I had the thought that for a World of Warcraft AU, Steve as a Human Paladin and Tony as Draenei Paladin who is more about analyzing the light than truly believing would be a fun idea! Luckily, my art was picked up by truthiness_aura, who wrote an amazing fic about these two slowly getting closer. I am super excited we finally get to share it with everyone. Whoa I’m glad I sent you an ask then :) as someone who has an entry in there and awaiting claims anxiously, let me tell you that any fanwork based on the thing I’ve created will make ms immensely happy. And you are a brilliant writer and I’m sure any art you pick, you’ll make your artist thrilled and the fandom that little bit happier.

As the person who’s done this event as a writer every year since I’ve joined this fandom, it’s sooo much fun. You get a chance to work with a new friend and maybe form relationships for much longer!!

Stellar Love Affair

Captain Steve Rogers gets assigned to command the starship Avenger. Everything is going as expected until he sets eyes on Tony Stark, who happens to be the first omega Steve's ever met. A Star Trek AU with omega Tony and small alpha Steve a bit of pining, very competent Steve and Tony who are definitely better together

Time Travel

Captain Stevens and Doctor Potts

Back in 1970, Steve and Tony are forced to hide in a closet for a while, which might be the perfect opportunity for Captain Stevens and Doctor Potts to finally do the thing that's been long overdue. A small time travel piece with these two idiots who are a little bit less of idiots in this timeline in this closet.

Steve asks Tony out on April Fools' Day, not realizing what day it is. Tony gets upset and rejects him. Tony can't believe Steve would mock him like this. Steve can't believe Tony would reject him like that. There is a bit of a twist though, and Steve might need to take matters in his own hands. Protective Steve, sad Tony, jerk Ty and some terrible misunderstandings that get resolved!

Tony finds himself tied up in an unknown place. Steve is there but not to help Tony; he has a whole other agenda. ———————— “No Tony, that’s not how it works. I don’t wanna ask you. I wanna make you. I wanna hurt you, fuck you, and then hurt you some more, and I don’t need your permission for it.” Tony holds Steve’s gaze breathing hard, terrified that he can’t find the earnest, sweet stars that always shine in Steve’s eyes. “That is what I want. The fact that you’re so fucking into it is a bonus.” He reaches down to palms his own cock from over the fabric. “You’re so good for me, Tony, even when you don’t want to be.” Consensual non-con with a twist, top Steve, bottom Tony, bondage, rough sex; the darkest thing I've written.

Steve and Tony hook up on a night out in a bar. They wake up the next morning to the news that they have to self isolate for two weeks. There would be sex. There might also be … love. Lots and lots and lots of smut with even more tooth-rotting fluff as well as a double identity porn.

Unintended Side Effects

Steve has to go to the ER with a rather embarrassing problem - thankfully Dr. Stark takes excellent care of him. Medkink with a very embarrassed very very turned-on Steve and very attentive, very caring Dr. Tony with a twist at the end.

I love this issue so much. Also this cover. At first I wasn't entirely sure if I had read any fic inspired by this issue specifically (rather than fics that just mention it in passing) and then I remembered that I had in fact written a very long story with a key scene that absolutely hinged on this issue. *facepalm*

I have not, however, posted this story. It's the 150,000-word Madame Masque story that I wrote for @phoenixmetaphor's awesome art for the Cap-IM RBB back in 2019 and, for a variety of reasons that don't need exploring at this juncture, I ended up not posting it and writing an entirely different story that was just long enough to hit the word count minimum for the RBB. At some point I need to just take some time and rip out and redo a couple of big scenes closer to the end of the story, but I really hate editing and still haven't figured out how to fix the scenes and that's why I still haven't posted it.

Anyway, it has a pivotal scene (not one of the ones I am planning on changing) that heavily involves that issue. Phoenix even drew some lovely art for this particular scene and posted it a couple years ago, and, yeah, I still haven't posted the story.

I was going to post a longer excerpt of the scene in question but I couldn't figure out how to give the necessary context for the scene without spoiling about half of the story. So, uh, maybe someday I will manage to edit and post the entire thing. I just need to sit down and edit it. I have not yet managed to do that.

But you can have a couple hundred non-spoilery words of the very beginning of the story, because the actual first paragraph of the story is Tony having a nightmare about being back in the flophouse from IM #172. Uh, TW for alcoholism?

Tony woke, terrified, gasping for breath, the illusory taste of whiskey still lingering on his tongue. He clawed at his neck as phantom smoke stung his lungs, as his throat burned from the liquor, as tears leaked down his cheeks, while the flames roared around him, as he huddled alone and waited to die -- and then his eyes snapped open into quiet, serene darkness.

It had felt so real.

You're okay, he told himself, the beginning of the litany he'd made to ward away his nightmares. You're okay. It was a dream. It was terrible, but you're not there anymore. It's over. You haven't had a drink in years. You didn't really take that drink. You didn't ruin your life again. It was all a dream. You're safe. You're going to be okay.

The craving was still there, of course. It wasn't going to go away just because he wasn't drinking. Even if he never took another drink in his life, he was never going to be able to forget every last detail: the heft of a rocks glass in his hand, the way the light filtered through amber liquid, the smoothness of a fine scotch as he swallowed. His mouth was watering. He tried not to think about it, tried not to remember, tried not to build an image of something he couldn't ever have again.

The thirst was a siren's song, and it always had been: just one drink and nothing will hurt. Just one drink and nothing will ever hurt you again. Just one drink and you'll be happy.

It was a lie, and he knew that too. It was a lie, and for him it was never going to be just one drink, and that was why he couldn't have it.

But he wanted it. He always wanted it.

He pushed himself up to his elbows, and the sheet pooled down around his waist, exposing his bare skin to the air. The lights were off, but there was enough light through the curtains from the streetlights outside to orient himself.

You're in Avengers Mansion, he continued. You're not in that goddamn flophouse anymore. You're not shivering on the streets. You're in your own home and you're in your own bed and you're with someone who loves you.

That was when Steve, a light sleeper as always, rolled to his side and opened his eyes, pale blue gone nearly colorless in the dimness. His brow furrowed. "Tony?" His voice was thick with sleep. "Sweetheart? Everything okay?"

My @cap-ironman RBB 2021 for the fic: Down All Your Darkest Roads by @soldiersshield! 

The Time Gem rarely intervenes in the affairs of those who wield it. But with its siblings shattered and the Incursions on the horizon, it decides to take matters into its own hands. Steve Rogers and Tony Stark are the key to saving this failing timeline, and it intends to repair them-- no matter what it takes.

Or: The Time Gem chooses Steve as its host, and instead of flinging him far forward into the future, it drops him on Superior's doorstep. If Tony doesn't kill Steve himself, the ensuing time loop certainly will.
