Ngl but “My Form Empties” would actually make sense to be in Canto 8

In the book Hong Lu instead of becoming a government scholar to bring honor to the family, he became a Buddhist monk so he can see his true love again. My Form Empties is the statue of the Buddha. Also talks about how Hong Li if he didn’t complete his life and devoid himself of lust I think that he would suffer in hell which My Form Empties would make sense as the battle with it is in a hell like temple full of blood, and the main gimmick is Karma which is something in Buddhism (correct me if I’m wrong). Hong Lu would spent time trying to rid his desires and lust in the book which obviously relate to Buddhism as well, Buddhism is just removing desires to reach nirvana. And what abnormality fits Buddhism better than My Form Empties.

Oh the gears are fucking turning. I am just now checking out the livestream, but I already looked at the roadmap.

So, here's what little thoughts I can give for now:

The Surrendered Witnessing is absolutely going to have a double meaning to it, just like The Dream Ending did. I'm not yet sure what exactly that double meaning will end up being, but that much is clear to me.

Also from what I've learned from someone in a Discord server, the original Korean title for the Canto literally translates to something along the lines of "I have no choice but to look at it". Welcome back Tearful Thing.

The 'surrendered'/lacking choice part could be alluding to a plot point of Hong Lu being reclaimed by his Family. If I am right about him being a runaway, there is a non-zero chance of Limbus Company quite literally Surrendering Him back to his Family in exchange of the Bough, or something similar.

The whole title overall gives major End of DOTRC vibes where Baoyu just sort of gives up and shit properly falls apart all around him. Unable to do anything but watch.

Then there's the Two in One Daiyu-Baoyu of it all. You could spin the English title in multiple ways, such as Baoyu being forced to Witness Daiyu's Surrender for his sake, or how Daiyu quite literally had to Surrender their ability to Witness to let him live. You could do something similar with the Korean title, in how Daiyu has no choice but to watch without intervention at what is happening to Baoyu within their body, and how Baoyu has no choice but to look at Daiyu whenever he looks at himself.

Not gonna lie, with the recent Prelude to it, I am expecting Canto 8 to be Canto 6 2.

I expect a lot of similar frustrating decisions to be made sadly.

At least Xichun will probably survive.

Like everything about her character makes me feel like that it would be the biggest fumble of all time if they don't have her have a continuous character ark along with all the other main characters.
