i wonder what levi would do in a toxic relationship
#tw toxic behavior#tw toxic relationship#tw toxicity#this is a tough one i think depending on au#in canon love for levi would be almost once in a lifetime and he’d spot shitty behavior from a mile away#especially physical toxicity#he’s slamming the door on his way out and never talking to the person again#canon levi is tough and so guarded#even tho he isn’t sure about all the aspects of a romantic relationship; a relationship is so alien and strange alone he’s easily put off#modern au is harder cos it depends on his past exactly but if it was close ish to canon#in any au a cheater is dead to him#even if he’s blamed for it or gaslighted into an attempt for him to believe it was his fault levi is still gone but he’s carrying that agony#/insecurity with him to every future relationship and the grave#it’d be hard for him to recognize emotional abuse for what it is bc he doesnt understand his own most times and if he’s dating someone#he really really really really cares about them#and his present insecurity would make it easier for him to believe things are his fault#then if it escalates he’s so confused and idk brainwashed that outside intervention would be necessary. despite the fact his friends probabb#probably pointed out toxicity about his partner before and he fiiierrceeely defended them#bc he’s levi#but what abt s*x abuse. especially canon levi who has a shitty knowledge of sex and what it is he’d be so vulnerable to that i think. and#assume that’s the way it should be and take it#just in general levi is willing to accept pain if his partner doesn’t have to go thru it and the same would apply to his partners pleasure#god that’s so fucking sad#tw physical harm#tw sex assault#tw sex abuse#why am i thinking about this💀💀#levi.thoughts#levi ackerman

Dark Obey Me AU Outline, Breakdown, Game Mechanic + Specifics, + Some Other Stuff
{Previous post}
Kickoff and Quick Summarization:
Leviathan won a new preliminary horror game with VR aspects from a contest to test the game out before its actual release and invited Mammon and Yuki (MC) to play. This experimental immersion becomes too realistic when Yuki's latent powers takes the experience of the game to new levels when the entire House of Lamentation is sucked into the virtualization. Yuki, now alone and confused to the rules of this blended world of reality and simulation, has to venture through the house and recover the brothers from the game's influence. The game seems a little rigged the more Yuki advanced, so is someone actually pulling strings off screen or is paranoia seeping in?
Type of AU:
Mirror Universe, Interactive AU (you can help build up the world of this event)
Potential tags:
Horror, Psychological, Bloody, Dark, Angsty, Possible Sexual Assault, Death Is Allowed, Bodily Harm
Brief (and Liable to Change) Explanation of How the Game Will Work:
-After the House of Lamentation is shifted and adapted into the game's world, the seven demon brothers are also adapted to the elements of the psychological horror genre and placed as progressively harder bosses that MC has to get through to advance the game and undo the effects of what happened.
-The brothers that MC has converted back to normal will stay on their side and aid them in rescuing the other mentally manipulated boys, some even serving as necessary requirements to further progress. They can roam around the house and their rooms can serve as a temporary safety spots, but MC has to be with them to ward off the game's influence from trying to appeal to their cardinal desires based on their sin they govern and controlling them again.
-MC can try to appeal to any brother at any time, but if they don't meet requirements the struggle will be a lot harder and the emotional toll will be more effective on the chosen brother. If MC fails to convert the brother, not only does the next attempt become tougher, but MC takes damage deemed appropriate by the game based on the sin of the brother.
-The only exception to this rule is Mammon. Mammon is basically the tutorial. He's a mandatory scripted event to teach MC how the gameplay will be, and how they'll make it further in the game.
-Each brother is equivalent as a boss. The only way to progress to the next milestone is to release the grip the game has on the brothers' minds, but it's not as simple as breaking a curse like MC can canonically do with their powers. MC has to make a connection to the altered version of the demons, and to reach that connection they have to tackle each brother's insecurities and issues. Not like resolve them entirely with a heartfelt speech, and voila, they're okay again, but really reach into their hearts and remind them that they're not what the game has turned them into, that they're more than their sins and valued individually by MC.
-Thus having the proper brother on MC's side makes that connection a lot easier when it comes to certain brothers. Once that connection has been made and the game has less control, then MC can use the pact they made in the real world as the final move to disconnect the hold the game has in the virtual world.
-Again, however, it's not as simple as a few deeply passionate words and the veils are lifted from the brothers' eyes. Certain items can be found in each bedroom that helps strengthen the pact to mean something aside from a vow between a human and a demon. Requirements are necessary for progress.
-The pacts MC has with the brothers is a key relevancy to progressing the game. Without trying to appeal positively to their insecurities/fears the game has a strong hold on their minds and the use of their pacts aren't as effective
Rundown of What I Mean:
Mammon is the first demon MC bonded with and that applies itself strongly to their connection and relationship, especially in this event. I might be biased here, and not to mention I'm trial and erroring the story with my MC, Yuki, but I believe Mammon has the strongest connection with MC because of how he feels for them, how empathetic he is, and how emotionally aware he can be.
Mammon governs greed and already easily succumbs to his wants in the real world, but as of now in the canon story, he's grown a bit away from his sin, because of his relationship with MC, like most of the boys have. He can put MC above his own desires, and that influence deals a lot with how MC saves him after he attacks them in their room.
Mammon wants to sell MC's body, bit by bit, blood, teeth, hair, organs, nails, etc., as a means to pull in some serious money in the black market. Greed completely takes over Mammon, and he has very little regard for MC's life. When MC tries to use their pact's powers on Mammon the first time not much is really done, because the connection wasn't made. However, being the tutorial, Mammon becomes less influenced quicker than the rest of his brothers. MC has to remind him he's not a total scumbag that loves only money while Mammon is choking them out. So time is of the essence, because MC is physically harmed in this reality and can die as well.
I'll have a rough draft of this scene up later to better explain the process.
So Basically:
MC has to find items or something meaningful to assist them in helping the brothers become aware while under the game's manipulation, and then making a connection to their actual selves that helps absolve the mind control before using the pacts MC has made to finalize the severance, although it's not totally gone.
How I Plan to Progress the Event (Susceptible to Change) and Suggestions That Have Been Implemented by Other People So Far:
-MC starts the event off at the Lord Demon's castle with Diavolo and Barbatos before returning to the HoL to play with Levi. Before MC leaves Barbatos gives them two coins and a cautionary warning [credit to @jinxed-rose ]
-The unstable powers of MC conflicts with the game and locks the HoL and its residents inside the virtual reality.
-The game treats the brothers as bosses and turns their worst qualities up to 11. The small glimpses of how we saw the brothers in the beginning of the game before warming up to the MC is how they're portrayed in the game. They're meaner, deadlier, and heavily warpped from their original selves.
-MC can physically be hurt and/or killed, so the more of the brothers they can rescue the easier the game will be to traverse.
-The brothers are ranked by the order of when they got a pact with MC. So the optional progression between the brothers would be Mammon, Levi, Beel, Asmo, Satan, Lucifer, and Belphie. The longer MC has been in a pact with the boys the easier it is to sway them out of their brainwashing, but it doesn't have to be in this order [credit to @felix-the-lemon-king ]
-Another option of progress with the brothers can be psychological fortitude. What I mean by that is the boys' durability to withstand breaking down from their insecurities being provoked. So Mammon's biggest fear is MC getting hurt so he's automatically the first boss and Lucifer would be among the last to confront because he's mentally strongest and that's where the issues would lie. [credit to 13ineedpills13 on AO3]
-Levi is an optional boss that can be done early or late in the game, it doesn't really matter. If MC goes for Levi first, he'll be relatively easy to return to normal, but if MC doesn't get to him until later then he'll be a lot harder to help. If MC attempts to rescue the others before Levi and succeeds the game will make him aware of this. Levi will get more and more enveloped by envy and jealousy and his insecurities will worsen, making it harder to appeal to him. [credit to @sunshine-apprentice ]
-The reason Levi is an optional boss to go after at any time is because he has a mystery that reveals itself later as the event starts ramping up and big reveal towards the end. It's not really a secret if you read the notes on prior posts, but shhh. [credit to @felix-the-lemon-king ]
-Lucifer is the assumed main person to look out for, because he is the elder, head of the house, and most powerful and sadistic. He watches from the shadows and sets up elaborate snares and ambushes to sike out and slowly breakdown MC. Beel is more frequent around Lucifer's bedroom.
Somewhat Established "Rules" of the Game:
-Each encounter with the brothers during the actual moments of fighting and struggling will be violent and dangerous. Injuries will be painful and won't magically heal after the fight is done. [credit to syvintri on AO3]
-Death is very much possible, but it's tough for the brothers to die. It's not that hard for MC though. So, perma-death is plausible, but it's evened out with the two coins MC gets from Barbatos.
-The end goal is in Levi's bedroom, but it won't be accessible until after the brothers have all been released from the grip of the video game.
-MC's room is the only actual safe room in the house, so it's basically the headquarters
-Beel is the guard that routinely patrols the hallways, but he can be lured away with food from an area for a bit of time
-Each brother's room has a way to help figure out how to un-brainwash the boys, but they are dangerous to go into
-Overcoming the boys' insecurities and sins are a key relevance in progressing the game
-Line up of the boys in order as bosses (potentially): Mammon, Asmodeus, Belphie, Beelzbub, Satan, Lucifer, Leviathan
Concerns and Questions:
There's still a lot of gaps and unfilled holes that I'm not entirely sure how to connect properly. Trying to figure out how to write the encounters between the brothers that are being manipulated and MC/the brothers rescued is going to be tricky. Making sure the boys' characterizations stay close to how they would be will be a challenge.
So my questions for you will help me figure out what people would like to see and also help me connect dots in the story and plot.
A matter to discuss, for instance, is what a comment said on AO3:
"I think them interacting in a proper manner storywise when they are brainwashed is impossible, and such a drag to read. They should only interact during battles, and after battles, as they go on and save the others."
How should I go about writing the progress of the story?
Should I write it like an actual fanfiction, all detailed and specific and going at a constant pace, or should I skip moments instead of writing every scene that could occur to stay fresh and steady-paced, or should I try to base the chapters like actual event lessons in-game where stuff happens briefly and isn't very long?
Or another comment:
"So maybe this is just me, but I think it'd actually be more horrifying if the 'game' wasn't perma-death. Especially if everyone remembered despite any sort of revives or resets and with in-game injuries actually being painful. There's a high potential for angst is all I'm saying. But I guess that lends itself better for a normal fic rather than a choose your own adventure thing"
How should I write the "fight" scenes?
Should they be brief yet detailed or meaty with the conflict as MC tries to resolve the situation before anyone gets too hurt oor would this be good moments for turmoil between the brothers to arise and brawls break out ooor... I don't know what else.
How would the angst and heavy trauma best be applied according to y'all?
What kind of angst would each brother go through as MC tries to rescue them?
Some other questions:
Is the line up of the brothers as bosses okay, or should they be reconfigured to make more sense? Should it be linked how psychologically weak to strong they are or how their sins correspond to the next?
What would they be like at their absolute worst? How far do you think they could dive into their sins if they didn't have morals?
How dangerous would the brothers be?
How would the game use each character's insecurities and fears as their driving point?
How would you like to see brothers interact with MC during the confrontation? Or with each other before/during/after?
If MC were to die what would be the best way to take them out that would really fuck up the boys and devastate the psyche? Any brother is liable to maim or hurt the MC, but which one(s) could actually kill them? Or if a brother took a hit meant for MC, who would be more inclined to step into the line of fire?
These aren't all the questions that I have knocking around in my head and stumping me, but they're the biggest ones. I would like to hear inputs from others, BUT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't feel inclined to answer everything that I've listed. Those are just questions that I thought of and put on this post as examples of what I'm trying to figure out.
Finishing Off:
So yeah. That's the progress I've made so far, both on my own and from suggestions and opinions from other people.
I'd love to hear what y'all have in mind or would like to suggest or a take on a matter for any scenes, interactions, or whatever. Even if it's ideas of your own that relate to something that hasn't been brought up or mentioned, feel free to comment it or send me an ask.
Something this extensive will require a lot of thought and work to be done right, so that's why I had the notion of making this an interactive AU
So, if you're interested or wanna talk about the concept, hit me up! I'm dying just to ramble about potential stuff or read viewpoints about the brothers that you want to see happen or stances for whatever.

How do you think Levi would react to having a yandere s/o? Would he look past their obsessive nature and focus on the fact that they love him unconditionally? - 🥧
So here's my take on Levi x Yandere I'm kind of dipping into canon Levi a bit but it's still just my interruption of his character and remember if you want Levi and Yandere to work you can write it working or get somebody else to make it work xD that's the blessing of fan fiction screw canon make that ship work baby >=) (I'd even write it but at the moment I'm kind of swamped with art requests )
Levi is a smart perceptive guy, he'd notice yandere watching him, he'd feel their eyes on him even when his head was turned and he was sipping on his tea. He'd take note of this.
He'd look down on an over stalking Yandere
Would he look past their obsessive nature and focus on the fact that they love him unconditionally? That is a tough one , Levi is very assured of his strength so I don't think he'd be too afraid of Yandere, unless they got creepy and put his comrades and friends in danger.
Levi is pretty humble , he goes "tch please" when people go on about his strength in the anime, I don't think he's the type to be needy for obsessive love I think Levi wants somebody he can look up to as well as to protect (He's got the King's loyal knight in his blood, he's strong and assertive but wants to submit and follow his beloved, he's kind of the guard dog type (this personality trait is confirmed canon )
That being said I could see how there could be sexual tension in the beginning of the relationship because Yandere does everything in their power to be the person Levi needs and wants, which means IF and that is an IF Yandere is smart enough to manipulate Levi in the start of their relationship it could be very sexual and loving (As long as Levi is ok with no longer being a virgin anymore, I recall that Levi was once described as the most sexually frustrated character in attack on titan, it's canon that Levi touching his dick is to him shameful ) poor Levi ;( he is so anti hedonism , no sex, no wine and plain food, duty and attitude comes first.
" Question: ‘What’s the most disgusting thing Levi’s ever done when he was alone?’
Isayama’s official Answer: One time he touched his dick"
So I think Levi is more sexually repressed than ace ? If he is described as the "most sexually frustrated character " but I'd need to double check if that is canon.
I think it's to do with him 1. being a clean freak and 2. His mother's death from working as a prostitute.
Yandere though would not push Levi, and might help Levi heal and explore his sexuality without feeling so guilty. Yandere is so love with Levi they'd give up sex with Levi if they had to even if Levi made them super hot and for a lot of Yandere's this would be the case xD
When Levi calls out Yandere for being possessive, creepy and jealous this is where things get interesting...........Levi can hold his own against Yandere , but Yandere.........What if they where a threat to those around Levi.
I think Levi would put down Yandere himself even if he loved them , Levi would put love beyond duty , Erwin made him this way. We can see this in the suggested canon
manga spoiler Bellow ********* Ship of Levi x Hangi,
He reacts to her death like no other, he is the saddest he has ever been since his friends where killed , he doesn't let go of the hand that touched hers and he scowls at the sight of planes. When the word heart appears in the manga it is above Hangj's head......both of them put duty before love so Levi could kill his Yandere lover if he had it.

Chapter 1. Chapter 2
____________________________________
Chapter 3: Brace
____________________________________
Summary:  Capricorns can be naturally pessimistic. They already expect unfortunate things to happen in life, so they take them in a stride.
Alternatively, Levi braces himself for the worst and is pleasantly suprised.
____________________________________
Telling his squad had gone better then he thought it would. His special ops members took the news it in a stride, immediately launching into a discussion of what they needed to do now and how to utilize this information best. Eren, as expected of his 15 year old version, was befuddled.
Levi wondered how someone so innocent looking transformed into a complete monster in such short time.
His squad had lived up to his expectations, easily concluding that they need to keep this information to themselves for now. Eld, ever the natural born leader, took the lead and suggested that they need to learn to work with Eren. So that they aren't caught off guard on the bare minimum skill level they can expect from the traitor.
Gunther was the one who brought up the possibility of facing the armoured titan, and even though Levi was sure they wouldn't have to face that particular beast yet, he still agreed with their suggestions of carrying some fire arms. Thunder spears didn't exist yet, which meant that grenades and canons would be their best shot.
Eren had tried to voice out his own suggestion, that he wanted to train his skill set too. He felt that he needex to improve in some areas, and although Levi bitterly recalled how much Eren had improved without help in another life, he had to agree with the brat.
His squad, however, didn't share the same opinion and immediately began to shut Eren down.
'Eren, your job is to trust us. We expect you to leave it all to us and transform as an absolute last resort!'
'Yeah, you brat, don't get cocky. The only way you'll fight is if we somehow di-'
Olou had bitten his tounge and cut himself off before Levi could. Levi had then interrupted before Eld and Gunther could throw in their two cents.
'Eren is the main target, what will all of you do if Eren is somehow dragged away you from you and has to fight for himself? We need to prepare this brat for everything, especially how to fight in his titan form.'
They had all shut up, but he could tell it was only because of Eren's presence. They wouldn't be caught dead speaking speak out against their superior, especially in front of Eren. Levi had taken advantage of that little fact.
'We'll get back to this in a while-- Eren it's time for you to transform. Four eyes is here'
____________________________________
It went just like last time, Eren wasn't able to transform. He sat in front of Levi, looking just as despondent he had the last time. He didn't walk away from Eren like last time, instead having chosen to stick close to the brat. Some things still needed to happen, and Levi was just waiting for that inevitable explosion.
When Eren accidentally transformed this time, he immediately took out his blades and points them at his team, not at all surprised that they had already drawn their blades.
They would always be talented little brats, but they had a long way to go..
'Captain-'
'Put down your blades Petra.'
'Captain get away from Eren-Please-'
It had continued on, with the brats arguing in favour of heatedly questioning Eren and his motives, while he had ferociously stood by the him. It was a part of the plan really-he knew that Eren would be fine no matter what. He just hoped that, at least this time around, the brat would take his taking a stand for him like this into consideration before he decided to launch a mass genocide on his own.
'Shut up and obey.'
His team had faltered, and then slowly lowered their swords as he began to speak.
'Do you have any other titan shifters?'
They all looked confused. Only Olou managed to speak croak out a strangled no. Levi pointed at Eren, who was panicking alot less since Levi had begun to speak in his favour.
'You see this dumbass? He's our only shot. There's no replacement for him. All of you can be replaced, Erwin can be replaced, Hange can be replaced. Despite your silly admiration of me, I could easily drop dead and be replaced too.-'
His squad had looked scandalised at the thought of their beloved captain being anything remotely close to being replaceable. Then again, none of them had experienced Mikasa and her unnatural strength yet.
'We need him. He doesn't need us. Understand that none of you can afford to point your blades at him without my orders. The next time you do so, I will be your opponent.'
Eld and Gunther had looked nervous, Olou had visibly begun to sweat and Petra had looked at him a little strangely. However, they all seemed to understand the point he wanted to make. '
'Am I clear?
They all nodded
'Yes Sir!'
____________________________________
He had made sure to still have that chat with Eren, to make him understand his squads actions. He knew Eren trusted him a little more this time around-his showing support toward him like this had likely changed his opinion of him, if only a little. Levi was banking on that, hopefully he could push the kid in the right direction.
He had gone to his room after Hange had explained Eren's transformation and his squad had shown support towards Eren by biting their hands. A filthy act, but he supposed in this case he would allow it. Not that it stopped him from ordering them to go sanitise their hands and not come near him for a while.
He had even made his tea on his own, unwilling to let them touch them with their germ infected hands. Petra had looked at him oddly when he had told her he would do it on his own, almost like a kicked puppy.
He sat in bed, tea long finished and mind occupied.
He had been somewhat productive so far, managing to manipulate Erwin into changing the plan to capture the female titan. His squad was well in the loop, and likely making several plans to take on a titan shifter. Eren was beginning to look at him with more trust, something he hoped would blossom more.
There was still too much to figure out though. And since Levi had resolved to not let Erwin in on the plan, he was now drowning in things he needed to figure out. How Erwin managed to sort through so much crap was beyond him.
Some things, he had already figured out. Others were still being debated upon.
When it came to Historia, he would injure her tommorow, to the point she wouldn't be able make it to the expedition. She would likely try to jail him for it after taking the crown, but he figured he could call it vacation time from work and enjoy the silence. Those brats were too loud anyways.
He knew that Rod Reiss might come after her sooner after hearing that she had been injured, so he would have an old friend keep an eye out for her. It was an aquantince from the underground, one of the few he could trust, that had managed to crawl their way to the surface too. He was strong and capable-and very good at hiding when he needed to.
Only Levi had ever been able to find him- and since he knew Kenny Ackerman wouldn't be used yet, he felt it was the best way to keep her safe.
He had also decided that he would have to kill Kenny. He had contemplated recruiting the old bastard, but Kenny was too much of a gamble. The type only Erwin would take on trying to recruit. And while it would be feasible to drop hints about his mentor in the underground to the Commander, he wasn't sure the Survey Corps could handle a mission like that. Their attention needed to be on capturing shifters and getting Historia to the crown.
Maybe Erwin could risk something like that, but this time it would be his deicison. Kenny, despite his conflicting feelings towards him, had to be eliminated. He just couldn't chance their opposition having someone like that on their side, and wasn't confident enough that they could get him to jump ship.
The rest he was still a little muddled on. He was reasonably sure he could draw Ymir to their side, especially if he told her about how Historia would be queen soon. But the girl wasn't dumb, she would also be able to tell that Historia would have a part time job as child breeder, and might even try to leave with her then.
It pained him to do so, but he couldn't save Historia from that fate. He could, however try his damned hardest that her children wouldn't be turned into shifters.
The other shifters left him feeling conflicted. They needed the Colossal titan, he would be their mass weapon against other nations. The moment he could, he would get the serum and feed Bertolts titan to one of their soldiers. There would be no compromising on that, no matter how much he wished he could lure the kid to their side instead and spare him from that painful death. He just didn't know the kid enough to ensure he could win him over.
As for Reiner, Levi recalled the young man who had stepped up to stop Eren. He recognised that he was stuck in a tough place, but again, he would have to harden his heart. He had to keep his side as safe as possible, even if it meant taking away the armoured titan.
A part of him still hoped that he could get the kid to join him though, he would definitely try for it.
As for Zeke and Pieck, who had likely already arrived on the island, they would be dealt promptly. Zeke would need to be restrained and hidden away in a deep tunnel, while the cart titan would be given to someone else.
He would, unfortunately, have to allow Zeke to turn Ragako Village into titans. But he figured not everyone needed to be turned for it, he could at least get the children out of there. Connie's mother had been key in figuring out the truth about titans, and so he would have to sacrifice her. But Connie's siblings would at least live this time around.
More of his cormades would survive the attack too, having less titans to deal with. He was hoping that Mike and his squad would get out of it alive and not be dealt the same unfortunate fate they had suffered through before.
When it came to Annie, however, Levi already knew what to do. If all went well, he was more then sure that the Female Titan would be fighting for the Island soon enough.
His plans regarding the shifters were a big gamble on his part, since it was all relying on one thing specifically.
Getting the titan serum from the Royal government.
But Levi was a thief at heart, a man who knew how to get things no one wanted to give, to find them in the shadiest corner, completely undetected. Worst comes, he would easily infiltrate. Their security was crap anyways.
He would know. It wouldn't be the first time he had stolen something from those bastards anyways.
Levi laid down, covering himself with a blanket. He thought of one last thing before he allowed sleep to overcome him.
It was dumb of Marley to send six of their shifters to the Island, and all at the same time too. Because Levi had no intention of letting any of them go back home, not this time around.
____________________________________
In all his years of living, Levi had gotten used to being surprised. He had gone through surprise attacks, friends turning into foes, getting punched by the Queen and even time travelled. Yet had taken it all in a stride.
He had expected that half his plans would fail, that he would end up losing his squad anyways, that Annie would escape this time too. But here they were, sitting in the mess hall, post expedition, and very much alive.
Erwin had informed more squads about the traitor, although thankfully Reiner and his squad hadn't been told. Most of them had understood that they likely wouldn't be able to take on the threat, and their squad leaders had made sure to have them engage very litte. They had tactfully allowed the Female Titan to pass through the formation, thus leading her to Eren. More lives had been saved this time around, much to his pleasure.
They had gone through the same plan, trapping her in the forest. Erwin had stood by and watched as the female titan glared at him. Beside him had stood soldier with black hair, wearing a hoodie. Their face had been hidden, but everyone had called that soldier captain Levi. It had made Annie think she was safe, that when she called titans to her and left to go after squad Levi, Humanity's Strongest wouldn't come after her until she accomplished her mission.
It was only when she reached the squad and made to slice at Gunther that she realise that she had been duped. The sight of Humanity's Strongest blocking her blade with his own had caused her to sweat.
Things had gotten on easily then, she hadn't been much match for him. And his squad had taken double their usual measures, going as far as to throw explosives at her before he could carve her out of the nape. Eren had watched it all in awe, thankfully the brat hadn't needed to transform this time around.
His expression had quickly changed to shock and betrayal once he spotted his comrade sealed in a crystal. Levi wasn't suprised that she had sealed herself like that this time too, he had been counting on it actually.
Levi snapped out of his thoughts and pushed his now empty tray away. He decided it was the perfect time to put his plan into action.
He needed to pay Annie Leonhart a visit.

A/N: Heyooo. Here's chapter 3! Any guesses how Levi is getting Annie on their side?
Sorry I don't post much, but I swear things have been ridiculously busy. Uni life, housework, and my mom is sick too :(

If Xanxus were to be trapped in the Capital of the Empire from Akame ga Kill without his guardians and you had to choose six characters from six different anime series to be his guardians, who would you choose and what would their cover job while stuck in the capital? We all know Xanxus would probably be a high quality gunsmith/craftsman when not being the Boss of his new guardians.
First off, I will admit that it took me a while to respond to this because I didn’t know the series so I had no idea what the Imperial Capital of Akame ga Kill was like. So then I read through it a few times to really get a feel for what the Capital was like. So lots of wow, dark and gruesome. Also unviable in the long-run in terms of the Imperial Captial’s consumption of human lives/resources but it wasn’t like Honest cared about that. Country bumpkins and all that.
All it did was give me a more massive lady-crush on Esdesu/Esdeath. Because wow. Like throughout it I was like, she’s a goddess of sadism and I will happily worship her as such. I will now measure any ice-user against Esdeath and find them falling short when she’s been described as “a natural disaster with a wicked conscious,” to paraphrase.
Second, it took me time to consider who. I don’t watch a lot of anime, but that’s because that takes so much more time than reading the manga. More to the point, I wanted people that could get along with Xanxus and not end up killed or attracting too much attention from the capital’s guards.
I mean it’s rather counter-productive if Xanxus kills them or they kill Xanxus?
Storms are supposed to attack fast, keep attacking and not let up. For the famiglia or something; that’s the role of the Storm Guardian. Therefore finding someone of Storm temperament that’s not a complete reckless idiot is an issue.
I wanted to use Ichigo but then I realized that he’s too moral to last long in the Empire. Then I thought about using Renji and I was like, ‘too naive about human culture, will get killed.’
So then my brain goes destruction, disintegration. Scar from Full Metal Alchemist. I’d think he’d make a decent carpenter, when he’s not investigating some rumor. I fully expect him to gain a wanted poster at some point.
Of course with Scar means that I can’t use Oliver Armstrong as one of the six but she wouldn’t have made a good fit either.
Suns are supposed to protect their famiglia through the use of their bodies. Which sounds vaguely meat-shield-ish until you realize it’s more about crushing enemies than tanking. Vongola Suns are supposed to be scary badasses, alright?
I decided on Yuusuke Urameshi. He’s distinct, kinda flashy, a little crude and not a complete idiot. Also has moral limits but mostly in regards to his friends and allies. The ‘not a complete idiot’ thing disqualified a lot of them.
As Yusuke’s skills extend to either cooking or fighting and he has issues with authority, he’s probably cooking something to earn money.
In theory he could teach martial arts or something but I don’t think he has the discipline to do so. Plus it seems like all training centers/temples are under the Empire’s control so would be bad bad idea.
Lightnings are supposed to draw attention and conflict to them. And then survive it. It’s a meat-shield/tank position, alright? Also bait, but well, they clearly get the worst gimmick here.
Levi Ackerman. He’s probably a very Cloudy Lightning, but he’s terrible with authority he doesn’t respect. I believe that Xanxus and Levi could learn to respect each other, if they didn’t kill each other first.
That cleaning obsession is a bit useful though. He probably ends up scouting for the Rebel Army and killing various Imperials because he does value human lives. This Levi is a lot more competent than Xanxus’ previous Levi; that’s better, this one is fun.
Honestly if Xanxus makes weapons, Levi is going to likely work in the store. Just shopkeep Levi… the idea is hilarious and will likely end up with dead bodies on the floor at one point.
Rains are supposed to wash away conflict and square up accounts aka grudges. Another killing role there, alright?
My first thought here was Gray Fullbuster. And then I realized that that wouldn’t work either. Too reckless. Also his ice is rather pathetic compared to Esdeath.
Somehow my mind went to Karasuba from Seikeirei from there. Not sure why. Probably because she and Esdeath are vaguely similar.
Honestly Akame is very much a Rain. However I went with Robin from One Piece. Morbid humor, assassin experience and the ability to deal with people without wanting to dismember them.
Sales-lady.
Izzy could have gone with Uzuki Yuugao from Naruto but she wouldn’t mesh very well with the others, so Robin.
Mists are another defensive/protective role, dealing more with misinformation and deception. It’s an important role, involves a lot of trust but also puts them as support types for the most part.
Fast-paced trickery is difficult and takes a lot of intelligence to pull off effectively. Also illusionist/mages… Most mages end up being weak glass canons or godly strong and just blast stuff. I wanted a rather more balanced one and ended up with someone that might be overpowered.
Ban Mido from Get Backers. Between being extremely proficient in casting illusions on other people with his eyes alone, he’s also very tough and strong. How much of that is magic quasi-physics and how much is real is debatable but his grip strength is known to crush steel. More to the point his illusions are strong enough that the victim thinking they’ve died from a fire in an illusion will burn. More to the point they can affect the physical world as well.
Ban’s stupidly talented like that. I’m jealous.
Clouds are wanderer who are supposed to watch from afar and help out on occasion. Generally by killing those causing problems.
Kazuma Yagami from Kaze no Stigma. He does his own thing, on his own terms and wants people with the talent and ability to get stronger by honing their existing talents or cultivating new ones. Even to his own family. Not that he’ll say as much and he had to be bribed to do so.
He’s shrewd and hard to take off guard so would not get killed by people in the capital taking advantage. Still would hate the idea of teaming up but would probably end up borrowing their proverbial couch on occasion.
Other things: Most of these characters are rather bitter and professionals. Which isn’t by chance as I wanted them to be able to survive the Capital and Xanxus. More to the point, most of them are more morally grey, although there are limits to it.
Further more, do you really think that Xanxus wouldn’t examine the teigu and try to re-create some of them?
Xan-xan the golden goose of quasi-teigu. Izzy needs sleep but she’s prowled through numerous wikis for a refresher course on some of these people.
