Good morning dear! I just fawn over these beauties. Honestly, when I watch a deer move I feel lazy. I see them leap and hop as though it is effortless, their bounce amazes me every time. They're quick; so fast they'll be halfway across a quarter acre field in seconds. Super stars of running and hopping. I love watching the muscle tension it takes them to glide through the air like that. I will try to get video of this soon... #documenting #endtransmission #deer #life #garden #Ilovethattheycomeout #sopretty #nature #baby #fawn #canIpetit #noCatie #letmeloveyou #deerpet #petdeer #kindof #wildlife #look #dontstomponyourfresh https://www.instagram.com/p/CEJ7HRggpcK/?igshid=1p7xvbdmaw9it

Lions and giraffes and zebras, oh my!
There are a lot of good reasons to come to East Africa but one of the first things many people think about is the animals — lions, giraffes, zebras, leopards, cheetahs, water buffalo, rhinos, hippos, elephants. All the things that come to my imagination when I think of this part of the world
We were supposed to just pass through Nairobi on our way to Tanzania but as I casually read more about Nairobi I decided we should spend a couple days there. The Nairobi National Park was one of the reasons.
It’s a (small) national park in Nairobi. You’ll need a (sturdy) car (the roads in the park are definitely 4WD) because you are in the home of the animals. Sure, you could walk but, um, how do you feel about being a lion’s lunch?
We start a week-long safari in Tanzania next week but I jumped at the chance to see these animals in Nairobi. We started out early (6:30 am) with a driver and SUV with a pop-up roof. Once we got through the gates and out of some of the initial foliage, the scene opened up to savannah (with the city skyline a hazy backdrop).
It’s thrilling to see a wildebeest or rhino or even a warthog in the wild for the first time. We saw large herds of zebra enjoying a breakfast nosh, a lioness lazing in the shade of a tree, black rhinos getting ready for nap, wildebeests comandeering the road, giraffes lazily loping along, and more.

I'm a beardo. I used to hate them. But now I feel a man just isn't a man without one. When I see a nice one I just can't help but stare. Sucks when the owner of the beard isn't attractive #ilovebeards #canipetit #sosoft #tickleme
