When did I create my blog: I made this specific blog around October 2011 when I first started getting sick, but I think that was more a coincidence at the time. 

What do I post: Uh, kind of a hodge-podge of everything plus my rambles.

Last thing I Googled: “can wearing glasses more frequently make your eyesight worse” because I feel like that’s been happening, but maybe it’s just the same decrease in vision that made me start wearing them more frequently in the first place (according to google it is).

Do I have any other blogs: Uh, a bunch. Like, I have at least four different main blogs and then a bunch of sides on most of those. On this end of things the only one I post to with any semblance of regularity is @cchristina but then there’s a bunch of abandoned projects/ideas, half of which ultimately served the same purposes of put-creative-shit-in-one-place.

I have a bunch of game blogs and different iterations of ~personal/vent~ blogs and even another blog that was basically this one v1.0

Do I get asks: almost never

Why did I chose my URL: Because I’m Christina C, but that looked dumb, so then I made @christinasees because it felt right and then I realized, no I should be @christinaseas because this blog is just a deep sea of what I find interesting at any given time. Or something. Plus the ther url was deffo more fitting for a photography blog or something.

Dream trip: So many! Especially if “dream” comes along with “all better and totally healthy and good to go”. I really want to hike around Patagonia. 

Fav food:  Stop making me choose favorites. Especially because food is so contextualized and different stuff is right for different situations. But I guess let’s just say my dad’s red sauce that he makes a couple times each winter.

Last book I read: I finally got around to reading Turtles All The Way Down in January, and then classes started and I haven’t read anything since. 

Top 3 fictional universes I wanna join: Some nice fictional world where it’s not like everybody but the heroes  are dealing with some apocalypse, or the heroes all have magic or something, because I’d just be a background average joe who doesn’t get adventures, or maybe a corpse considering New York gets Fucked Up a lot. 

Now I can’t stop thinking of worlds that arejust examples of what I said.

I thought it best I finally update you on our lives! Thank you @canarydown for reminding me!! Tiny Dot is just not a Tiny Dot anymore! - She is a lovely, healthy 20lb ish - Has just started to crawl!! - Can say Mama - Feeds herself pretty much anything - Is becoming more and more independent - Loves the Maracas, her Jumperoo, stacking blocks and rings - She will be 9 months next week - She is very sociable and loves playing with other children - Still sleeps perfectly Bar a few nights in the blistering heat - Still no teeth!!! She has been teething since she was 12 weeks, I swear - Now in size 6-9 clothing and on 75th percentile (which, for saying she started on 0.2, is incredible) - Loves all animals and especially likes horses (yesssss!!!!) - Her favourite fruit is now raspberries and she's partial to a Banana - Loves a story! The touchy-feely books are her favourite - Loves loves loves swimming and has lessons every week - She is a very happy baby and we feel so very lucky to have her I shall post some more photos of her after this ☺️ Things have been so busy and hectic since I posted around the beginning of June and I'm so sorry for abandoning you guys! Tiny Dot is just incredible and has such a busy social life! I'm trying desperately not to hold her back because of her CF so we do anything and everything; lots of sensory classes, messy play, park trips, family visiting, birthday parties, playing with animals - the lot. We had a slight scare not long after our holiday and she had gone through four different types of antibiotics and still hadn't kicked a bug she had. We almost needed to take her in to hospital for IVs but my bad ass baby got rid of it just in time. She was relatively well in herself but if it had have continued, it may have done some serious damage to her currently perfect lungs. Matt and I ran 5km Colour Obstacle Dash in June and raised £1800 for the CF Trust and the init that looks after her. I cannot believe how much we smashed our £500 target and I am so eternally grateful to those that donated and shared my pleas for help. Aaaaand - I have started a new business venture with the aim to not have to return to work in the new year! So far, so very good and I am so excited with what it is going to bring to my family and our future. This is what is taking up a lot of my time I guess, I'm trying to throw everything in to it to ensure it is a success. I will not fail. 💪🏻 I'm still around guys and I promise to be more present. I've missed having a sounding board when things have been getting tough and I have really missed keeping up with you all and your adventures with your littlies. Xx

Movie

So I went to college in Kentucky, and freshman year, one of my friends found out that they were looking for (non-paid) extras for scenes for the movie Seabiscuit being filmed about an hour or so away from our college, at a horse racing track.  We had to wear “typical 1930s-1940s winter attire” so about ten of us went to the local Goodwill and got some stuff that would work.  It ended up being a freezing cold snow-flurrying day so we were glad for the old-fashioned warm coats and scarves.  We got to to be in the “infield” pretending to be cheering Seabiscuit on in the last lengths of a race that he won.  We got to “meet” the jockey Gary Stevens who was playing a part in the movie and he had beautiful blue eyes.  We got a free lunch.  It was fun. :-)
