Jerry Bey, bekend van het broer en zus duo Jerry en Mary Bey. Jerry bracht een lp uit als ode aan Willy Derby, met als hoogtepunt het lied "Hallo, Bandung" , verhalend over een telefoongesprek tussen een moeder en haar zoon in Nederlands Indië

🍁Willy Derby was a very successful Dutch singer in the interbellum and during the war years. He mainly sang the lighter genre and the levenslied. Jerry Bey, known from the brother and sister duo Jerry and Mary Bey. Jerry released an LP as an ode to Willy Derby, with the highlight being the song "Hallo, Bandung", telling the story of a telephone conversation between a mother and her son in the Dutch East Indies

🧀Cornelis Vreeswijk werd in 1937 in IJmuiden geboren. In 1950 verhuisde het gezin naar Stockholm in Zweden. Het gezin remigreerde met dochter Tonny in 1961 naar Nederland, maar Cornelis bleef in Zweden wonen, om daar een carrière op te bouwen. Vreeswijk was geliefd in Zweden, maar ook omstreden. Een aantal van zijn liedjes mocht niet op de radio gedraaid worden, omdat men de teksten aanstootgevend vond. In 1966 werd Vreeswijk door de VARA uitgenodigd naar Nederland te komen. In Nederland is Vreeswijk vooral bekend van liedjes als De nozem en de non, Veronica en Bakker de Baksteen. Zijn bekendheid in Scandinavië is veel groter.

The family emigrated to the Netherlands with daughter Tonny in 1961, but Cornelis stayed in Sweden to build a career there. Vreeswijk was popular in Sweden, but also controversial. A number of his songs were not allowed to be played on the radio, because the lyrics were considered offensive. In 1966, Vreeswijk was invited to come to the Netherlands by the VARA. In the Netherlands, Vreeswijk is best known for songs such as De nozem en de non, Veronica and Bakker de Baksteen. He is much more famous in Scandinavia.

🇨🇦 Amanda was born in Namibia and is now living in Somerset West, Western Cape. After her 1st single “Ek en jy” was released in May 2024, she is excited to release a children’s Afrikaans song called “Lappopkind”. As a children’s dentist at her own practice DinoDent, she sings to the children regularly to try and make it fun for them. She even sings in a big green dinosaur suit at schools along with her own “Toothbrush song”.

🇳🇱 Amanda is geboren in Namibië en woont nu in Somerset West, West-Kaap.
