Gold-friend
a/n: I wanted to write something for the new Ballon d'Or winner
Tumblr media
*not my GIF* (look at this tiny queen)
Pairing: Aitana Bonmatí x Fem!Reader
Summary: surprise
Type: Fluff
Warning: nothing
word count: 1881
-------
Euro 2022
The Spain national team got kicked out of the competition by the Lionesses. Back in Spain, Aitana found peace with the only person she could call home, you.
For you, you spent the rest of the summer trying to cheer her up and helping her prepare for the next season.
Even if she said it every day, the midfielder would never voice too much how grateful she was that you were with her in every big step of her career.
Season 22-23
Being a nurse and working almost every day meant that you sometimes couldn't be there for your girlfriend when she played. But working with nosy co-workers helped you measure how much the blaugranas' midfielder started to shine.
To be fair, you didn't mean it, but when you walked up to two people talking about football, you wanted to tell them to go back to work until they mentioned Aitana's name.
They were talking about her big performance on the pitch and her awesome season. And what a season it was. Leading the Liga F alone, far away from the runner-up, confirmed that Barcelona was in good spirits, and things were even more incredible when you saw them in the Champions League.
Of course, even if you had to work a lot, you tried to see her play as much as you could.
Champions League Final
Back from a party to celebrate their championship title, Aitana crashed on the couch next to you. A movie was running on the TV, but the football player knew she had all your attention. She rested her head on your lap and enjoyed the silence for a moment until something came to her mind.
"¿Amor?(My love)" She called you carefully.
"¿Si?" You replied and started to play with her hair.
"Are you free in June?" She asked without really hoping for a positive reply.
"Umm, I have to check, but I think I asked to have two days off. Why?"
"Do you want to do something special to celebrate our first place?"
"Uh, yeah, but I was more hoping to use those days to see you play the Champions League's final. But we can do anything you want."
"Well, I wanted to ask you if you—wait, what?" She brutally stood up, almost hitting you in the process.
"What?"
"What did you say?"
You looked at her like she grew a second head. "Uh, I said that I wanted to see you play. Is that a problem?"
The midfielder grinned and covered your face with a lot of kisses.
"You're welcome." You joked.
"Now, come on, we both need to sleep." She turned off the TV and dragged you to the bedroom.
~~~~~
After the finale whistle, Barcelona were sacred champions. You were frenetically moving in your seat while the girls were celebrating. A few minutes later, you were allowed on the pitch; you only had some free seconds to thank the girls before a short body crashed against yours.
"Oh, calmate, cariñosa, let me thank other girls before." You were very amused by her antics.
"I'm really happy that you came." She confessed while all her teammates were making fun of her.
"I'm really happy too."
After a lot of celebration, you were back in the blaugranas' hotel, cuddling with your girlfriend in her room. "Are you sure you can't come to Australia?"
"Yes, I'm sorry. But don't worry, I'll support you." You reassured her.
Word Cup
You had to follow the whole competition during your night shift because of the different time zones. But that was not the worst part. The worst part was everything that happened on the other side of the globe without you being there to support her.
You were working the day of the finale, and almost all the hospital exploded with joy after the final whistle. Everybody matched your enjoyment, and it was totally understandable.
Ballon d'Or
Aitana was on her way to her hotel, but something was stuck in her mind.
"Don't make this grumpy face; you're about to be classified as one of the best players in the world." Salma said trying to change her mind.
"I'm not making a grumpy face."
"Yes, you are. You have since we arrived here. What's the problem? Aren't you excited?"
"Of course I am."
"But?"
"There's no but."
"So you don't look happy when you clearly deserve everything that's happened today?"
"I'm happy; it's just that..." She stopped when the car stopped, and thankfully for her, Patri and Mapi were already there to welcome them.
"Thanks, some people are excited about this day." Salma said dramatically when she get out of the car.
Her teammates gave her a strange look, but they didn't need to question it when they saw Aitana.
"She's definitely taking it more well than I imagined." Patri whispered to the defender, who looked at her very confusedly. "I thought she would be crying and complaining about how much she wanted Y/n to be there." She explained.
"You know what? I'll not even try to talk with you. Let's just try to make her look less grumpy until the ceremony." The defender said.
"I'm not grumpy!" The midfielder spoke loudly while she entered the hotel.
"Yep, definitely grumpy." The three other players said together.
Okay, to be honest, Aitana may have been grumpy, but only because she was worried. You were supposed to be with her this night, but you didn't answer her last text. And she sent it a few hours ago.
In the room where she was supposed to get ready, she found Fridolina, who came a little earlier. The tall woman greeted her with open arms, something that she felt she needed.
"Nervous?" The Swedish player asked, and the Spanish one just nodded. "Is it about tonight or about Y/n?" She asked even if she already knew the answer.
"Both," Aitana said, sitting next to her teammate, "maybe more about Y/n than about tonight. She was supposed to text me when she arrived in Paris, but I didn't receive anything. I try to not freak out. I'm saying to myself that maybe she just had an emergency at work, but if it was, she always told me."
"Don't worry, I'm sure she's just doing something and forgot to tell you." Her teammate tried to reassure her.
~~~~
A few hours later, the girls were ready to leave, but the midfielder was still waiting for your text.
"Hey, stop worrying; I'm sure she will come with your parents." Mapi said while forcing the brunette out.
Outside, a vehicle was waiting for them. Someone opened the door for them. Your girlfriend was the first one to enter, but she stopped immediately.
"¿Qué haces aquí? (What are you doing here?)" The short girl asked, making all the players behind them stop.
"Nunca me perdería esto por nada. (I would never miss this for anything.)" You replied.
"Oh, look at who finally decided to show up." Patri commented, making you snort.
"Okay girls, I would like to talk, but I think you're waiting somewhere, so what are you waiting for?" You reminded them.
During the whole ride, Aitana had her head pressed against your shoulder while her hands were stuck in yours.
"I think that's the first time I've seen her smile since we arrived here." Salma said loudly, making everyone laugh in the process.
"She just missed her girl; I think it's fair." Mapi defended her.
"And I missed you too." You whispered to your girlfriend before landing a kiss on her head, which made all the girls coo at the same time.
~~~~~
"...And the winner for the women's Ballon d'Or is... Aitana Bonmatí." Everybody was applauding, and you started to feel tears in your eyes' corners.
During her speech, you were remembering all the moments you spent together. Since the first time you met her when you were just two kids until now. And it was a long journey.
There were tears, exhaustion, and loss, but there was also victory and joy every time you watched her play, the tittles, collectively or personally. And above all, there was love. The same love for the same girl since you were kids.
The same with whom you lived with since almost four years, the same girls who were always there for you when you needed the most, the same who knew you maybe more than yourself.
In the reflection of the video that were shown about her journey, you were seeing what she could achieve later and what you could both have been in the future.
After the ceremony and the photo, you were back in the hotel when something came to Aitana's mind. In front of the hotel, while every girl started to fill the building, the midfielder used that moment to keep you behind.
"Hey, is everything okay?" You asked when you felt her hand on your arm.
"Can we walk away? Don't worry, it's just for a few minutes."
"Yeah, of course." You let her lead the way until she found a spot not too dark with some lovely spotlights. She took your hands and made you look at her.
"Amor, I want to thank you for being here today with me and just being in my life. I-I know that I tell you every day, but I love you. I'm in love with you, and it's not going to change. You're one of the reasons why I'm here today and why I became so good. I wouldn't be able to do this without you."
"I'm sure you would."
"Please don't ruin it."
"I'm sorry."
"I was thinking about it for a moment now, and when I saw you tonight, it confirmed what I thought. Y/n, I want to spend my life with you, to be able to love you and be worth yours for the rest of my life. Y/n Y/l/n, would you marry me?" She showed you a velvet box with a beautifulring in it.
"Wow, do you mean like right now? I know that Paris is called the city of love, but I think we need someone to officialize everything." You replied.
"Stop being a smartass and answer, please." She slapped your arms, making you laugh.
"Of course I do." You replied, and she finally smiled again. "I would be a fool if I declined the offer." You added.
"Can we finish that? It started to be cold." You chuckled while she placed the ring on your finger. You both stayed looking at each other for a few seconds before finally kissing.
The cute moment was interrupted by some applause from the other girls.
"What are you doing here?" Aitana asked, a little embarrassed, to the audience.
"Patri wanted to follow you; and Mapi agreed." Salma said earning a nudge from the two older women.
"Who cares about that? We're proud of you." Patri said while she quickly came to hug her teammate. Quickly after, all the girls came to hug you both and congratulate you.
On your way back, you had your arm around Aitana's shoulder. Listen to the girls talking about the ceremony with a big smile on your face. You looked at the midfielder under your arm and gave her a light kiss on her shoulder.
"Te quiero."
Frenkie de Jong Imagine
Author’s note: This is a request from Wattpad. They wanted something sad, but I had no idea what to write. I told a friend about it, and she joked about last season when Manchester United kicked Barça out of the Europa League, so I used that as my inspiration. Is it sad? I don't know, tbh 😅 Also, no idea if he played that much and was one of the best. I don't watch Barça's games or keep up with them. Hope you like it and thank you for reading! 💜
Masterlist
"Frenkie, lunch is... What are you doing still in bed? And what are you listening to?" I say when I walk into our room.
"Break up songs."
"Why? Are you going to break up with me?"
"What? No, no. It isn't that."
"Then?"
"I'm sad and this helps" he shrugs.
"Ok... Why are you sad?"
"Why? Do you really have to ask why?"
"Yeah."
"This season sucks! I suck!"
"You don't suck, Frenkie" I chuckle.
"Yes, I do! The whole team does!"
"You won 5-0 this weekend. That isn't something a team that sucks do" I say, moving to sit on the bed next to him.
"But what did we do on Wednesday? Lose 0-4 against Real Madrid and at home, which meant goodbye to the Copa del Rey."
"Yeah... That was unexpected."
"It wasn't. We suck. Or have you forgotten what happened in Europe?"
"You..."
"We got kicked out twice. Twice!"
"Second time was against a big team like Manchester United, it can happen."
"But we are freaking Barcelona! We should be able to win or at least put up a fight against other big European teams and don't look like fools!"
"You didn't look like fools, Frenkie. It was so tight anyone could have won."
"But who won? Them" he says, covering his head with the duvet. "I should have signed for them."
"What?" I laugh.
"With them I would have won something already. And since Casemiro is constantly out because of red cards, I would be playing a lot."
"You also are playing a lot here. You are always named amongst the best of the team."
"Yet look at us. We aren't winning a thing" he scoffs.
"You are going to win La Liga."
"Or not."
"Frenkie..."
"Or not!" he says, uncovering his head and sitting up. "Yes, Real Madrid are losing points, but look at what they did the other day! At what they do in the Champions League! They could suddenly change and win all the games from here to the end of the season!"
"I doubt it" I chuckle.
"But they can!"
"And the world can end tomorrow for all we know!"
"It actually can, yes. And it will find me here, feeling sorry about myself" he says, laying down again.
"Frenkie..." I sigh.
"Hello from the outsideeeee... At least I can say that I've trieeeeeed" he sings.
"Ok, I've had enough" I say, grabbing his phone from the bedside table and turning off the music.
"Hey! I was singing!"
"And destroying my ears in the process."
"Sorry."
"That's what you are gonna stop being, yes. Sorry for yourself."
"I can't."
"Yes, you can. Because my boyfriend isn't a quitter. If he was, I wouldn't be here."
"What?" Frenkie says.
"How many times did I say no to going out on a date with you?"
"13."
"Wait, so many?" I laugh.
"Yeah. A bit creepy on my side to keep insisting, but" he shrugs.
"A bit, yes. But you never gave up."
"Because I love you."
"And do you know what else you love? Football. That's why you aren't going to give up, and are gonna keep playing, showing how good you are and winning La Liga at the end of the season."
"But..."
"No, no buts. You are gonna get out of that bed, take a shower while I change the sheets, and then we are gonna have lunch together. No more crying or destroying Adele's songs."
"It wasn't that bad..."
"It was worse" I chuckle. "And tomorrow, you are gonna go train and kick some asses, which is what you will do in the next game, and the next, and then the next after that one. Understood?"
"But what if..."
"Nope. The Frenkie I know and love doesn't give up."
"Maybe that Frenkie is gone..."
"Then maybe I'll have to leave him and find myself a new boyfriend. Is Pedri single?"
"You only like blondes" he laughs.
"Maybe I'm done with them" I shrug.
"Ok, fine. I'll stop feeling sorry for myself. There still is a title to win, games to play."
"Exactly" I smile. "Now get out of that bed and go shower. Chop, chop."
"I'm doing it, I'm doing it" he says, slowly leaving the bed.
"Good boy" I smile again. "But can't believe that what made you change your mind was me saying that I was going to leave you for Pedri" I tease him.
"That wasn't it."
"Sure..."
"It wasn't" he says, wrapping an arm around my waist and pulling me against him. "You would never change a blonde for a brunette."
"Well..."
"Never" he repeats.
"Nah, you are right. I like my blonde way too much."
"Even if he sometimes does lame things like feeling sorry for himself while listening to Adele?"
"Even so" I laugh.
"I love you."
"I love you too. And once you've showered, I will love you even more."
"Ok, message received. I stink."
"A bit, yes" I giggle.
"Thank you for everything. You are the best."
"I know. And now go shower!" I say, pushing him away from me.
"Ok, ok. No need to get violent" he says, sticking out his tongue and laughing his ass off when he dodges the pillow I've thrown at him.
I love your takes on Vi and Cait! I'd love to hear your thoughts on Jinx, both tickly and just in general! I find her such an interesting character, I can't wait to see where her story goes next season
Thanks! Currently obsessed with them. Lol
I actually have done tk headcanons for those two and Jinx in the past, but this was before I actually watched any of the show…it was primarily research-based.
In broad terms, my thoughts on the characters haven’t really changed, just refined and grown more fleshed out.
As far as Jinx, she now strikes me as a person who, despite being so aggressively physical to others, recoils at the idea of being touched (in any way) herself. There’s too much trauma to unpack there, too much anger, bitterness, and distrust. Physical affection repulses her. She’s more than comfortable laying hands on enemies or lovers when she’s in complete control, as we see in the show. But I think she would most likely avoid receptive skin contact whenever possible.
Next season is going to emotionally eviscerate us all, isn’t it? :/
6, and 11
munday momence.
6. is roleplaying the only writing-based hobby you have, or are there other things you like to write?
i'm currently running a dnd campaign, entirely homebrewed with a kingdom & plot made from scratch, & i've got a whole backlog of potential future characters rolled & written up, lore & all. i love playing dnd, i've thoroughly enjoyed dming thus far, & i can't wait for next session so i can do some murder attempts on these yahoos so they may face the consequences of their fucky-wuckies, & i lowkey can't wait to be done with this part so i can get back in the player seat & weave together my next pc's lore w my previous pc's lore coz im the only returning player not reusing their character (he went into the feywild & all he got was an eating disorder & a bounty on his head for releasing a vampire from the fey oops).
11. describe your ideal outcome/endgame for the muse you are currently writing.
the ideal endgame is ... kind of a lack of one. satoshi will never ever stay put, that's just a fact. the adventure will always continue, on & on, until death finally catches up to satoshi for the last time. at this point, the closest to the ideal i suppose would be what i've got going in my frontier brain verse?? pulling back from competitive battling a little, no longer chasing all those big titles, just focusing on defending the ones he has, setting up a frontier near home & letting the challenges come to him for once. still traveling, though, still helping the world, working in an unofficial sense with interpol & putting the strength behind his titles to good use, putting his aura training to good use ( learning more about aura itself, strengthening his bonds with pokémon through aura & learning to wield it as the multi-tool that it is ) . learning to keep in touch with people ... working on the frontier stadium together with friends, with people from his town, with his mama. always returning to alola for a few weeks every year for the league season there to defend his title ( & then after finally losing it coming back to cheer on the new champion & have an exhibition match with them after the season's conclusion ) , & hang out with friends & alolan family, check in how lei has grown, be the cool big brother, get into trouble, go on an impromptu adventure with the kapus & solgaleo. just ... enjoying life, learning how to be a part of everyone else's.
Sportbladet did their own Nilla retirement interview day after the announcement
Nilla Fischer on the new challenge: "Perhaps I am the next Leif GW Persson"
Nilla Fischer, 38, is no longer a professional soccer player. In the end, the body said no.
For Sportbladet, the veteran talks about the decision, the pain that has been and the new challenges that await.
- It feels exciting but also very scary.
She has won SM gold, Champions League, German league titles, championship medals with Sweden and double diamond balls but now her career is over.
Nilla Fischer is no longer a professional soccer player.
What made you decide in the end?
- I knew already in the last training when Andrée drew up the pre-season schedule that no, how is this going to go again.
- I've had pain in my body more and more every year and I love playing football but in the end it becomes too hard mentally not to be able to go on but to be careful in training and to be smart and so on. It might be smart to have some body left when I quit, so that's where I finally felt that I have to listen to my body now and actually just make the decision.
- It does not come as a revelation. It won't but it was just a matter of making a decision so I did it.
Pulled with injury problems
How much has the body hurt? How much has it hurt during the season?
- There have been problems. I've been playing, it sounds so stupid to say painkillers because it's two alvedon and one Ipren, but it's still like that if I have to take it 90 percent of the games then maybe it's a sign that it's not so healthy longer. Or elite sport isn't healthy overall but...
- I've been lucky this year that I haven't had any major injuries, but it's a sign that the body isn't enjoying itself anymore. I must still have a little smartness.
Do you feel the pain in everyday life too?
- Constant pain sounds so exaggerated, but I have pain all the time or problems all the time. Then there are different degrees of it, but that's just the way it is. I have osteoarthritis in my toes and have had various inflammations in my feet.
 I also live a life where I cannot lie on the couch and wait for the next match. I have an active lifestyle because of the kids and that's just the way it is. It might have been the same issue if I hadn't had children, but I can't choose that now I have to go to bed two hours before the match.
What is it like not being the soccer player Nilla Fischer anymore?
- Right now it's quite pleasant when the others have a running program to follow and I can choose that today I want to go out and run, then I do it, then I choose the pace and so on.
- I sit and work with my company and do it right now without feeling the stress and pressure that there is something else that needs to be done.
What kind of company do you have?
- It's called something as ingenious as Nilla Fischer AB. Now I'm preparing a lecture, so that's probably what it will be about.
- I haven't really decided what direction it will be, but the plan is to give some lectures or be able to take on other assignments. At some point in the future, I might also want to deal with pocket and boys' football. Maybe come as a guest coach or so we'll see.
Don't want to let go of football
That's not the last we've heard from Nilla Fischer in football anyway, is this?
- No, it's not. I still feel that elite-wise I probably have to distance myself because I think it will be too hard otherwise, but to work with boys' and girls' soccer in some way, I would think it would be fun.
- Now all I can think about is what should I do. I start my education in January and the question is whether there is time for anything other than just the education in those years. We shall see.
But what about the dog boarding house then?
- It's a bit on hold, we've got horses so the schedule is packed and I don't think I'll have time for even more when I have to study.
So what will it be like to sit down at school and train to be a police officer?
- Right now it feels extremely scary. Now I have lived this life for so many years and this lifestyle. I haven't studied since high school so it feels exciting but also very scary.
What's the scariest thing about it?
- It is something completely new. Just learning new systems and study techniques. Sit. Sit down and work and study. It's not something I'm used to.
- Then it's like always, or at least that's how I feel, when you try something new, it's uncomfortable not knowing if I'm good or not? How hard will it be? And so on. We'll see how it goes.
What is the attraction of becoming a police officer?
- The whole thing of working in a team that way. Or yes, I don't know this, but that's my idea of the police profession. That it is teamwork. You work quite closely in different groups with different goals and then be out in society and probably help people in vulnerable situations.
- Then we'll see if that's what it means, but an active job where I think that many working days look different.
"Could be the next GW"
You envision yourself being out in the field and not sitting inside solving crimes?
- Yes, but at first I must be outside. Then maybe it's me who sits as the next Leif GW Persson. We shall see.
- Then there are lots of different orientations within police training, which is also part of the attraction. It's not just that now you're a finished police officer and now you're going to do this for 20 years. You can work in the field and then you can further your education in other specializations. We'll see. It could be completely different from what I have imagined.
It seems popular to become a police officer after the career. Lisa Dahlkvist follows the same path. Which of you do you think is best suited as a police officer?
- Haha I do not know. It feels a bit pretentious to say yourself, so I have to say Lisa.
- I know she is also studying so it will be fun. Now we won't be working on the same set, but it will be fun. I get to contact her when it gets too difficult and she gets to help me what to do.
saw someone on twitter say they're excited for saturday ... how do you support everton and look forward to what will likely be a run back to what happened 23/24. the backline will likely be the same as well except that we'll have mykolenko instead of patterson which is given his recent run not exactly a good thing. "but if we'll play o'brien-" that guy can't even start for ireland. i'm honestly SO fucking tired of you lot putting all your faith into o'brien who hasn't played a single league game for us yet just because you don't want to see keane and yearn to have branthwaite back. listen. WE ALL DO.
but i genuinely need you lot to stop acting as if having that kid play alongside brexit tarkowski, washed mykolenko and ASHLEY YOUNG (since coleman is likely injured) is going to do anything at all. he's not going to stop every single goal from coming in all by his own. keane's been decent and in any other formation he'd actually be praised under the circumstances BUT NO yous with your fucking herd mentality would even go against him when he were to pull a prime time maldini performance.
so fucking tired of you lot making him the scrapegoat as soon as he puts foot onto the pitch. i cannot fucking wait for him to leave next summer and either retire or play for fucking blackburn. (people will still monitor him then i'm telling you this now)
anyways! yes! so excited to experience the 5-0 loss that'll likely await us on saturday. unfortunately this is NOT ipswich at home. this is a club that plays champions league football this season. i think you guys forget that. but i like your enthusiasm. unfortunately i have watched everton for about a decade now and enthusiasm no longer works for me.
I hope that I’ve got this right, and apologies for the randomness but Pep Lijnders (Liverpool’s assistant manager) has just done his fitness update for tomorrow nights cup tie, and looks like Dominik should be back soon, which is good because he was playing so well for us before he started to tire and get injured; so hopefully he will refine his form. I’m gutted our vice captain is out with a knee injury for a few weeks as he’s such an important player for us with Dominik. I hope we manage, I never expected us to be doing so well, and hopefully we can continue and be back in the champions league next season 🤞🏻
Ooh thank you for the info! 😊 Yeah it's so sad that he got injured right when he was in such a good spot at Liverpool. ☹️ But the silver lining we can take away from this is that in his absence a lot of casual fans recognised how important he is for the team. The combination of a lot of people recognising that his play is missed during games plus him just recently winning the Sportsman of the Year award in Hungary really revived the hype around him. I have to say tho, when I originally heard that he got a knee injury I got war flashbacks because currently my fave basketball player has been out because of a miss managed knee injury for almost a year now and the secrecy, gaslighting and lies from that guy's team has been just too much during that time, so for a good minute I totally thought that's it for Domi. 💀 Luckily as far as we know from these snippets of information it seems like it wasn't very serious for him, which I'm really hoping is true and they aren't just downplaying the situation. Fingers crossed and prayers up for him! 🙏 Can't wait to see him back on the pitch!
WEEK 13 - Wrap Up
ONE MORE WEEK!
youtube
Yes. One more week. Gotta love creepy Creed. This is when it starts to get sad and exciting at the same time. Sad because we must say goodbye to those that each week give us wins and make us feel good. Exciting because after next week we will be a league of 6 - and ultimately working our way down to our Champion of the year. Things are still up in the air...with the exception on 1 thing we know for sure...Bebo Norman is going to grab 1st place in the "ODD" Division as he leaves this week 12-1 and no one can catch up to that. Congrats Bebo on the bye week in week 15.
MALIK MY BALLS vs BOOMER SOONER
Tumblr media
Oh wait...something else is for sure...with the win tonight and Scott Krippayne's loss I secure 2nd place in the Odd Division...no one can catch my 10-3 record by winning next week...so I guess there is no need to go into a whole wrap up of how I won....I will play against the player with the most points after next week - between Scott, Gabe, Stu and Kyle.
FUNK GUY vs TuPADRE
Tumblr media
Oh, how bitter sweet for Gullahorn. He has a great week...the best week actually...beating Dana Cappillino and grabbing the high point win with 133 points ($20)....but it's too late, he can't make the playoffs...and for Dana - he just need points as it's fairly close (points wise) between Cliff, Mitch and Dana...but he failed to reach 100 points this week. It's going to come down to week 14 for many in the Event division - especially Dana. Congrats Gully. I guess it's nice to get some of your money back! Sending now!
BACKDOOR BANDITS vs TREE HUGGERS
Tumblr media
Love this. Kyle who has struggled all year - has a great week 13....too late for him (just like Gully), but he takes down Scott helping me lock in a playoff spot. Thanks bro in law! Scott...don't worry - you just caught too many bye weeks. Just make sure you put up a shit ton of points next week so I can see you in the post season. Nice win Kyle!
LONG LEFT BALLERS vs MR AWESOME
Tumblr media
It's constant winning. Every week. Bebo wins again. I really don't want to give it any space on this blog. He's the best. He only lost once. Is this his year....blah blah blah. You got your bye week...let's see if your luck lasts into weeks 16 and 17. Sorry Gabe. Bebo is rude.
HOWARD vs TRADE WITH ME
Tumblr media
This was actually a very important game...well, for Howard it was...if he wins he hangs in the battle for 1st place - tied with Cliff Young. If he loses he goes down a game and has the Moose on his heels. Going into the night Trade with Me has a 10 point lead and Calvin Ridley still to play. Howard obviously, down 10 with Jamaar Chase, Evan Engram and the kicker for the Bengals McPherson. Predictor said Howard wins by 2...but as the night went on Howard pulled away and did what he needed to do to win. Congrats! Good luck next week.
MOOSES ON THE LOOSES vs LANAKILA
Tumblr media
You know as I was writing this I just took for granted that Lanakila had this won. Then I looked and saw that Mitch had Christian Kirk left to play going into MNF. Down just 18.52 and a Wide Receiver left anything is possible right? Well, who's kidding who. Kirk went out after he made his first catch and fell on his balls. The Moose is dying. He lost - he moves to 6-7 which means he is going to be in the points battle....basically against Funk Guy. Should make for an exciting last week! Nice win Cliff. You did it...you guaranteed a playoff spot but will it be with a Bye week or facing Dana or Mitch in week 15.
CHEERLEADER OF THE WEEK
Tumblr media
Nuff said. How could it not be Dolly.
Dedicated to you
Tumblr media
Tonight liverpool had a champions league game under the lights. The champions league was definitely by far your favourite - the atmosphere at night, the passion being put out from every fan it was amazing and trent could do nothing but agree. Your little boy Harlow had been going to trent matches as often as he could. Harlow was on only 4 but wanted to support his dad as much as possible. Your baby girl khloe was only 3 months old and didn't have aclue about football other than the fact that when she was crying for her dad the reason she couldn't have him was because off football. Most of the time you would go with Julia (thiagos wife) she was one of the most caring and funny woman you have ever met and you had the pleasure of being really really close with her. Harlow had created a special bond with Julia and thiagos son Gabriel, they went to the same school and had become inseparable so going to the matches with each other was just normal.
"Its freezing tonight" you said to Julia as you both sat down in the executive box. No matter how many time you went the cold air you constantly felt as you watched the match would forever turn your lips blue and make your eyes water.
"Oh I know, I wish I brought gloves" Julia said with a laugh as she sat down her daughter on her knee and watched both of your sons look over the balcony to watch the fans fill up the large stadium. Your little girl Khloe was fast asleep in her pram feeling no effect of the cold weather. It was her first time going to anfield and she wasn't going to remeber any of it but you and trent certainly where. You had made sure she had a tiny liverpool top on even if it would probably fit her once.
"Mummy, Mummy daddys over there" Harlow shouted causing a few people to turn around due to the small child's shouts. You went over to Harlow looking over the balcony and seeing trent warming up with robbo.
"Papa is over there Gabriel look" Julia said pointing out her husband to their son. The way both of the boys faces lit up was something out of a movie - they where utterly lost in the love there dads had given them. You sat back down next to the pram looking at the small baby in her own world. She was a tiny tiny baby which didn't come as a surprise as so was Harlow but he had become extremely tall for a four year old in the past years.
-
The match was in full swing, liverpool where winning 3 - 0 against benfica. Trent had accompanied two assists and seemed to be wanting far more. Even thought liverpool where sawing ahead anfield still rawed with tension and rivalry. A free kick was awarded to liverpool and trent was the one to take it. Even though trent was very much capable of a free kick it still made you stick to the stomach. Julia's hand found yours as you both stood up with both of your boys watching and waiting for trents kick. All of a sudden trents free kick fell into what can only be described as magic. Trent had scored. The whole of anfield erupted into chaos at the wonders of his free kick and how he had just managed to pull that off. You and Julia cheered in excitement at the goal knowing this was just what trent needed. Your husband came running down the pitch in pure excitement with virgil and robbo making a beeline straight for him. Trents body stopped to a holt looking up at where you where sat holding up a love heart out of his hands. You couldn't believe your eyes you couldn't believe he would do such a kind and loving gesture infront of so many fans. Julia cheered with everything she had in her and you simply styled the biggest smile known to man not knowing how to express your excitement.
-
"Trent, nice to meet you. Now you have just had arguably one of your best games of the season and I can only agree - 2 assists and a goal I mean you can't complain can you?" The interviewer said to trent as he stood infront of the media board with a huge smile on his face.
"Definitely not I think this goal was a long time coming I've been waiting abit for something like that. I'm obviously thrilled for diogo and mane to score aswell they are some of the best players in the world at the moment." Trent said back with a level of professionalism and happiness. The fans had dispersed out of the stadium and you where waiting in your box with Julia and thiago and their children watching trent as he spoke to the man.
"So that celebration after you scored, was that to anyone in particular?" The man asked with a confused look on his face at who the celebration was to. Trents face turned up into the most amazing and perfect smile at the thought of his family.
"Yeah my kids and my wife where up there... I actually think there still up there now" trent said laughing slightly at the fact he could just about make out all of you up at the top.
"Kids first time at anfield or not?" He asked again to trent who was still admiring watching you up in the box holding your little girl in your arms whilst watching him ever so peacefully.
"For Harlow it wasn't he comes every match but my daughter is 3 months old so we thought she could watch it today for the first time even though she dosent have aclue" trent laughed with a smile whilst running his hands through his hair which was driving him insane due to the warmth he felt from the match causing everything to adgatative him . The interview was over and trent made his way back inside making a beeline to his box where he had ran too many times before.
"Oh yeah we where thinking off going there this sum-" you said to Julia until being stopped by the smashing of the door opening behind you both.
"Oh my days you scared the life out of me" Julia said to trent as he shut the door behind him resting her hand on her chest at his entrance. Thiago was sat with the boys whilst you and Julia spoke about future plans with the girls.
"Haha sorry" trent said with a laugh becoming amused at the fact his rather dramatic entrance wasn't very welcoming or sufficient. Trent made his way over to you and gently kissed your forehead due to the height difference of you both. His eyes made there way over to your little girl in complete awe at the sight. His finger layed onto khloes hand causing her fingers to wrap around his not wanting to let go off her dad.
"Im very proud of you" you said looking up at him with a smile looking at his deep orbs in pure joy and happiness. His lips fell onto yours matching the rhythm you both gave as you fell into his touch.
"Daddy daddy daddy you scored" Harlow shouted raising through the door over to him as he noticed his hero was in close proximity to him. You both pulled away from each other not particularly wanting Harlow to tell the world you where kissing as he had tendancy to say way too much than he should have. Trent leaned down and opened his arms up for a rather large hug off his son.
"You happy lad?" Trent asked with a giggle as his sons arms wrapped around his neck and refused to let go from around his frame. You knew Harlow would be obsessed with this goal as he was completely and utterly in love with his dad and the job he had.
I hope you enjoyed this! Please leave any feedback or comments it is greatly appreciated. Requests are open.
You questioned me when I said this would be our season. Yet your pathetic Arsenal struggled horribly yesterday against 10 players. My beautiful United have already scored 4 in the first half against 11 players. We're so much better than you, I hope you enjoy watching us win the treble this season. And perhaps we will sign Miedema, Mead, and Walti next summer on frees if they are good enough, I know they will be begging to join to help us conquer the Champions League, but we will have to see if they are good enough.
And this is why we don't speak before a game ends. You ended up with the same scoreline as us but against Reading (proper relegation candidate) that played worse than Brighton who played with only 10.
Can't wait to witness the exodus of players next year, Russo and Ona are gone and I'm curious to see who else will move on.
Euro Final - Ben Chilwell
Tumblr media
This whole tournament has been full of ups and downs for Ben. Starting with his absence from the bench in England's first game, everything seemed to be going well in the next one when Southgate finally put him on the bench. But as I said, all seemed to go well because, after that game, Ben had to isolate himself, and if things weren't already difficult just because he couldn't see his family. Now he was deprived of seeing, and training with, his teammates. He had to stay alone in his room.
I always admired Ben for his strong mentality and positivity, but with everything that has happened to him these past few weeks, I started to worry about his mental health. He had to miss a game, and in the next game, when his isolation was over. He reappeared off the bench. Honestly, I lost faith that Ben was going to be able to make his major tournament debut after being isolated for having contact with his clubmate Billy Gilmour who tested positive for Covid.
If I lost my faith, I couldn't imagine how Ben would feel. Every time we talked on the phone or FaceTime, I knew we were both lying. I knew he was trying to sound positive about all this stuff and that it would be a matter of time before I saw him play. Because that's what I told him and what he told me, I don't think either of us wanted to face that reality, so we lied to ourselves in a way that didn't hurt us.
Every time I hung up, I started crying. And every time I saw England's starting line-up, I was pissed off. I was angry because I knew they were wasting Ben's talent. After all, he had had an incredible first season with Chelsea and because he played a big part in the Champions League final. I knew Ben deserved to play, more than some of his teammates, I knew he had all the weapons to prove he deserved to play in the Euro, yet they deprived Ben of playing and showing his skills.
As England progressed in the tournament, I had a lot of mixed feelings; I was sad, angry, and happy. And when England beat Denmark in the semifinals, I was very happy. I felt this would be Ben's chance, or at least I was trying to convince myself. I was happy for him because after everything he's been through in this process, and playing or not, he deserved it as much as the rest of the team because they were all making history.
The final match arrived and I was on my way to Wembley Stadium, wearing my England jersey with my boyfriend's last name on it. I had a knot in my stomach, my palms were sweating, and all the noise was overwhelming. After being stuck at home for so long with no social contact, this was a bombshell for me and was making me anxious. If it wasn't for Ben's message, I definitely would have freaked out.
Ben
"Breathe in and out Y/N."
Your message came at the best time. As I inhaled and exhaled, I imagined a moment of Ben, so I could relax. Eventually, that relaxed me. I started breathing normally and feeling better.
"We're not together but I know all these people are going to scare you. It's more than we're used to in the last few games, and it's a hurricane after over a year of not socializing... And I don't want you to pass out again."
After a long time watching the games from home, when we finally had the opportunity to go and watch a game, which was also the FA Cup final. The number of people that attended to watch the game was not even half of the number of people that attended today. That day, I remember I was walking down the aisle to enter the stadium when I started to gasp for breath. We were still in an open area, but all those people made me feel like I was in a room where the walls were squeezing in. I was also wearing a mask that made breathing difficult, and a few seconds later, everything went black. The last thing I remember is waking up in the team infirmary, and at halftime, Ben went to see if I was okay.
Another message brought me back to reality.
"I'm off the bench again, but I trust this team, and I know we're going to bring it home. Besides, I don't mind not playing if I'm finally going to get to hug you."
I read his message and replied to it as I walked around the stadium to find my seat. I was sad for him because all his chances of playing were now zero.
Me "Oh, babe. I'm sorry to hear that, but I know you'll make the country proud. I'm so sad that my vacation break from you is coming to an end."
I replied sarcastically. I couldn't wait to feel his strong arms wrapping around me. I was eager to feel his warm body and his perfume, I mean his perfume is all over our house, but it sure isn't the same. It's not the same fragrance when it comes from Ben's body.
Ben "If you prefer, you can stay at home while I go to Ibiza."
Me "I'm not letting u go without me."
Ben "If your good to me, maybe I can take u with me."
Me "I think it should be all the opposite."
We exchanged a couple more messages until I found my seat and the game started. Minute 2 and England scored! Luke Shaw gave us the lead. It was too early to think about the trophy but, it gave us hope. Unfortunately, in the second half, Italy scored and tied the game. Time passed, and it went to extra time, which led to penalties.
We were waiting for the penalties. My heart was racing, my hands were sweating, and my stomach was burning. From goals and missed shots, happiness turned to sadness. We lost, England lost. Italy was now the new champion of Europe.
As soon as the ceremony was over. I ran to the room where the post-match dinner with the families was to be held, and where the players would finally see and have contact with their families. I couldn't wait to see my man, to hug him, but most of all to comfort him. It was a hard blow, but I was proud of him and the whole team.
I opened the door and looked for number 21. Ben's number. I was about to take a step when a voice behind me stopped me.
"Looking for me?"
I turned around immediately. I knew that voice perfectly well. It was the voice I had missed for over a month. I rushed into Ben's arms and burst into tears.
"I missed you!" I murmured into the crook of his neck.
"I missed you too, like crazy." He kissed my forehead. "These days have been hard without you."
"I know, and I'm sorry for what happened, although I'm still proud of you."
"None of that matters anymore, when I can finally be with you" we both smiled. I was more than happy to finally see that beautiful withe smile and those blue eyes that made me fall in love every day. "Shall we get in?"
"Yup," I said, taking his hand. "A well-deserved dinner. I still can't believe you guys made it to the finals."
"It didn't end the way we hoped, but it's still something I'll never forget, and I'm proud of what we accomplished."
After all of Ben's ups and downs, I was glad to see him smiling and positive. I could tell he was looking forward to the vacation because I was too. He has worked so hard these past few months that he deserved a break.
We walked into the lounge to join the rest of the guests.
I'm super tired and i have no ideas. has gris or ingo ever gotten themselves stuck somewere in hisui. just guy climbing a mountain with his deer and getting stuck on a ledge
(ah i know that feeling. Body tired and brain empty)
Ingo when he first arrived in Hisui lived in the Alabaster Icelands for a while, which meant a lot of snow and ice to slip on. Luckily Ingo's used to it, having muscle memory from the horrible Nimbasa City winters and the sheets of black ice on the sidewalks and stairs.
However, he was not prepared for the ice caverns that hid between the snow.
Guy got himself stuck in the cracks, luckily Irida and Gaeric were tagging along, or else Ingo's best chance to get back to the future would be through being reanimated from a piece of glacier ice like a wooly mammoth.
Gris has gotten stuck in multiple places around Hisui. See, Gris is a well-seasoned trainer. They've fought the pokemon league, fought a champion, and found totem and alpha pokemon alike, but Gris trips over air. They can't really help it.
So far the list of the most bizarre places they found themselves in are:
Washed into the tide of the coastlands and ended up stuck hanging off of a craggy rock. They had to wait until the next high tide to roll in just to get unstuck.
Thrown off a cliff face and got stuck in a tree infested with Gligars after trying to visit Ingo during a rainstorm. (let's say Gris got a stern lecture from him about safety precautions and heeding the weather patterns). They also got slightly poisoned during that event.
And the most bizarre of all, getting stuck in the mud in the mirelands. Gris was chasing after a shiny when they slipped and skidded right into a bog. They were about waist-deep in mud, surrounded by Hippopotas. Adaman has to pull them out. It's another reason why Gris hates going to do surveys in the area. Gris hates two things in the world, swamps, and ice.
(at some point too I think Sneasler would throw Gris into a tree for fun)
The race at Brands Hatch in the United Kingdom had gone well for Niki. He came in 2nd place. Only spending a few minutes on the podium, he quickly made his way back to base camp to be with your family. The crowd has thinned but many of the drivers and press are still here.
You could see Niki approaching from across the lot as you stood with James and your daughter in the pit. Sara ran to greet her father, you stayed back with your brother.
"Christ Kitty, she's gotten so big since I last saw her." James shook his head in disbelief. Because the race was so local he made it a priority to come to visit you all.
"You're telling me. She'll be 6 this year. I'm feeling quite old - I even found a grey hair last week!" you both laugh.
Niki finally reaches you, your daughter perched on his back. "James, nice to see you." He uses his free hand to shake your brother’s in greeting. "How is retirement treating you?"
"Oh you know me, Niki. I always enjoy myself. Nice drive today, I see you aren't slowing down with age," he ribs.
Your husband gives that little amused scoff of his. If this were a few years ago you know the sound would've been accompanied by his middle finger; since becoming a father he's been better at restraining himself. "Thank you."
"Uncle Jamie said he got me a present!" Sara announces to you from over Niki's shoulder.
"Did he now?" you ask, eyeing James.
He throws his hands out and bellows "well of course I did, can't be the best uncle if I didn't get my favorite niece a present! Let's go get it." Sara climbs down from her father's back to follow James.
You nudge Niki’s shoulder with your own. "I put twenty on it being something she'll break her arm on."
He looks down at you with a furrowed brow. "You want to bet on our daughter injuring herself?" The look you give him says that is the dumbest question you've ever asked me. He grunts and amends his statement; "James does give…. Interesting gifts." He had once gifted a pogo stick - all the rage - to Sara when she was a 3 year old. You chuckle at his concession.
The two of you make small talk and plan your week as you wait for James and Sara to return. You are leaning on a guard rail to the circuit when Niki quietly asks "do you think i'm getting too old for all of this?"
Studying his face, you see a flicker of insecurity pass over him. "Why? Do you?"
"No." He shrugs. "I figure I have another couple seasons maybe. Then I'll focus on the planes. Finally teach you how to fly them, give myself a chance to sit back and let you do all the work."
"I'm sure you would like that," you smirk at his comment. "But no my love, you aren't too old. I'm the old one here, greying hair and all."
"It was one hair," Niki tries to reason with you.
"Still one more than you!"
You find a comfortable silence and rest your head on him, his arm circling your waist to hold you against his side. Niki looks around the pit, searching for your missing companions. "What's taking them so long?" You both begin to look around from where you stand.
A familiar squeal behind you catches your attention. "Papa! Mama! Look at me!"
And there are James and your girl on the track; Sara speeding by in a little red electric corvette. Her giggles are infectious as she steers this way and that. She even adds pretend engine sounds as she weaves in the toy car. Thankfully, James paired the extravagant gift with a matching helmet, Sara Lauda printed on the side.
"Papa, I'm just like you!"
"I see, meine kleine biene. Be careful you don't turn too hard or you will crash and then your mother will have to kill James." You hit Niki with the back of your hand, your face an expression of pretend shock.
"You're doing absolutely wonderful, love!" The three of you remain on the track for another hour as Sara puts good use to her gift.
🏆
The next morning Niki hands you the newspaper. He's got it open to page 21, his finger pointing to a small article in the sports section.
The page displays colorful pictures of your family on the track yesterday. You, Niki, and James stand in the background as Sara has the biggest grin in her little Power Wheels car. You read the article headline, your own smile breaking out.
"Looks like 'Little Lauda' is gearing up for the big leagues - pretty soon we'll have another champion on our hands!"
You lean back into your husband as he stands over you, hands on the tops of your arms. "You know what they say, Niki - like father, like daughter."
Niki snorts at you. "Let's hope not, or I'll be the one with all the grey hair."
